Insert javascript into folio problem

Hi,
I've tried to add some HTML code to rectangle object in Indesign (Object/Insert HTML):
<script type="text/javascript">
window.location = 'http://www.google.com/';
alert("This is Page");
</script>
then trying to see the result in Content Viewer -- but neither redirection nor alert message occurs.
Could anyone tell me should I write full HTML code (<html> <head>...) to see the result?

Why does RoboHelp 8.0.2 randomly insert javascript into all WebHelp topics?

RH can randomly insert javascript into your project (can be in the <head> tag or <body> tag in all topics in the project) which evidences itself with red boxes in the editing pane, and duplicate breadcrumb links in the WebHelp output. Even if you clear the Add Breadcrumbs Links checkbox while setting your project's properties, you will still have some breadcrumbs in various topics (RH randomly assigns breadcrumbs to topics with no logic that I can see). After deleting all instances of the red boxes, RH inserted javascript again in the next compile.
When you click the HTML tab you will see something similar to the following (the javascript has been highlighted):
I was able to recover to a previous version (without RH's random destruction) b/c I used SVN, but I now have zero confidence in RH's stability. I definitely did not insert the above javascript into my project. I kept the default setting for the compiled help to go to the subfolder of the help system (i.e., !SSL!, WebHelp). Does anyone know why this happened?

I'm not sure if this is the same issue, but it sounds close enough that I'd like to post it here...
Issue
I was either getting topic breadcrumbs in all of my topics (when they shouldn't have been), or getting "double" breadcrumbs (one stacked on top of the other) when I only should have had one breadcrumb. However, I didn't want any!
Background
By the time I had inherited this RH project (WebHelp), it had been worked on by at least three people over five years, using older (pre-9.0) versions of RH. I had just loaded RH ver. 9 when I took it over.
Solution
I noticed that there was a "breadcrumb" placeholder in the master page (xxxxx.htt) of the project. In the Single Source tab, when I right-clicked on WebHelp (Primary Output), and did not check the "Add breadcrumbs links" under the Navigation pane, I only saw one breadcrumb link in my generated output. When I checked the "Add breadcrumbs links", I saw two breadcrumb links in my generated output. When I deleted the "breadcrumb" placeholder in the master page (xxxxx.htt) of the project and did not check the "Add breadcrumbs links" under the Navigation pane in the WebHelp (Primary Output), then I finally saw no breadcrumbs in my generated output. Likewise, when the "Add breadcrumbs links" was checked, one breadcrumb was generated in the topic.
Lessons Learned
I suspect that either an earlier version of RH did not have this "Add breadcrumbs links" under the Navigation pane when you generated output (which mean that an earlier RH author had to use the breadcrumbs via the "placeholder" feature on the master page), or someone just didn't know how to implement the "breadcrumbs" feature correctly. In either case, I'm a little wiser from all of this!

Inserting javascript into template

What I would like to do is have the same slideshow play on the right sidebar on all the pages of the website. This is Javascript. The engine and data folders are already on the server.

The directions say to upon publishing the slideshow, to take the html generated code and enter it in the Head and Body tags (where I want it displayed, which is the sidebar) respectively. Now, I opened the .dwt file and removed the existing content from the sidebar, but after saving, the html pages still had the content there - I since removed it from each page, but don't want to keep doing that.
However, The Missing Manual says to.. Insert, HTML, Script Objects, Script. Is doing that at the insertion point on the template correct? Do I still have to enter the HTML code from the slideshow software? Confused!

It does. Editable regions are created for child pages. If you create an editable region and insert content into it, when you create a new child page, the content will be there. If you edit the content in the template that is in the editable region, the changes will not be made to the existing child pages.
So if you have a template, with an editable region, and you insert content into that editable region, any child pages that were previously made will not have this new contest inserted into them.

Insert Highcharts into .folio

Hy.
I created a test html page that opens locally hightcharts (HTML5).
This test works perfectly in safari but when insert index.html into Web Content and test in ipad i view a white page.
There is some limitation in code hmtl5.

I cant see any join conditions in your query posted. Whats the purpose of the query above. It will just bring you a cartesian product (cross join) of tables involved subjected to filters. Are you sure this is the correct query?
The error you're getting may be because you've not yet populated DimProduct or may be because of logic you used in popultaing DimProduct causing it to miss some records which is what query is referring to in above case.

How to insert Javascript into LinkToURL component

Hi all!
I want to start several applications inside the intranet page.
To do that in HTML I can access applications by a Javascript code, instantiating Windows Script Shell ActiveX.
How to do that in LinkToURL component? Is there any other ways to do that?

Problem in inserting data into MySQL table

Hi All,
I have a table with just two fields FIRSTNAME and SECONDNAME in MySQL. I am accepting the First Name and Second Name in two text fields and then trying to insert them into the MySQL table. I have set the concurrency of the rowset to CONCUR_UPDATABLE and am using the code clip for Database row insert with the appropriate changes. When I run the application it doesnt give me any errors but the data is also not inserted in the table. Can someone pls help me out.

I followed your suggested in the above, and always purge recyclebin, but still got the same problem. because in 10gr2, there's no dbms_xmlschema.purge_schema available,
and I did checked the recyclebin after force the delete of schema, nothing inside. any other recommendation?

Cannot insert disk into drive. How to fix this problem?

Hi,
I have a mac Mini and have had it since August last year. The disk drive has been working fine, until today. Cannot remember the last time I used the disk drive, but it couldn't have been more than two months ago. Anyways, the problem that has occured today is that when I try and insert a disk into the drive, it does not except it. The is no usual sound of the motors being activated by sensors to feed the disk into the drive. maybe the sensors are dirty? If so, how can they be cleaned? Have tried to insert the disk as much as I can into the drive until reaching a point where it will no longer physically go into the drive. This reaches half way on a standard size CD/DVD. Have tried many disks and have checked to see if there is any damage to any of these disks before inserting them into the drive. I am also very careful with taking disks out of th drive as soon as I am done with them as I am a bit cautious of these disk drives as it is the first time I have used them since August rather than a tray disk drive. I have also checked Finder to see if there are any disks curently in the drive to which there are none. Under the heading 'DEVICES' are the following:
Machintosh HD (Hard disk, as I am sure you all know)
iDisk (Am not sure what this is and haven't used it before)
Remote Disc (Again, not sure what this is and haven't used it)
BackUPHDD (This is my TimeMachine Hard Drive)
Film Work (This is my film Hard Drive with my work on)
Time (This is just another back up Hard Drive as my Mac Mini gets full quickley)

Sorry for the late reply. Have been out of the country. Have figured an App for the iPod touch/iPhone/iPad and for Macs called 'iTeleport'. Am sure there are many others like this out there but it is amazing and lets one control the mac from their iPod touch/iPhone/iPad. Am still under warranty with about 60 days left apparently. Have been to the genius bar and they think that there is a small square object stuck inside the disk drive. =s Have no idea how that would have got in there. We tried fishing it out with a credit card but no luck. They advised to book the Mac in so that they can fix the problem. It will take 5-7 days but maybe sooner. Am currently moving everything from the Mac onto another HD just in case. Thank you for your responce towards this thread. <3 Apple and everyone on these forums for helping out with our problems. Problem inserting data into database (increment problem)

I have a servlet page that gets various data from a bean and executes multiple SQL statements to store this data. Beacuase i want to insert data into a number of tables that are related with a one to many relationship I am not using the auto increment function in mySQL. Instead i have created a counter bean that increments each time the servlet is involked. I am using this counter to set the primary key ID in the quesiton table that i insert data into and I am alos inserting it into another table as a foreign key which relates a number or records in the outcomes table to one record in the question table. I am havin a few problems getting it to work.
Firstly the bean counter works but when the tomcat server is shutdown the counter is reset which will cause conflicts in the database no doubt and secondly even though i have not shut my server down i seem to be getting the following error saying there is a duplicate key even though there is no data in the database.

Cant insert Text into a TextBox. (Confusing Problem, CS6)

Hello forum members!
Just got the trial today and I am trying to insert text into a document. I press "T" and drag a box for a textbox. I then double-click inside that box to type something, and whatever I type absolutely NOTHING appears. It just blinks and nothing is actually typed inside the box.
This is really frustrating. I have only just started and have one document that is fresh, so my question is what is the problem here?

Could you elaborate on that a little? I have taken a screenshot of my screen to show you how everything is. I have not touched any settings and have literally downloaded the trial about an hour ago.
I do this. Click on the T, drag a box, then start typing. When I type, the icon does not move, and for some reason it seems what I am typing renames the layer tab. Please view the image, everything is there.

Sequence and INSERT ALL INTO with parallelism problem

I want to use the INSERT ALL INTO style of multiple-inserts (with 10gR2) to normalize a wide table into a skinny table. The large table has a few fk columns and 100 numeric columns. I want to insert them into another table as 100 rows in a single SQL pass.

With this query, each row in WIDE_SOURCE will generate 100 rows in SKINNY_DEST. I know that works. Unfortunately, it appears that the sequence isn't working the way I thought it should- with multiple nodes and parallel insert, there's some overlap in the generated key.
Is there a better way? I've considered 100 separate sequences, but that just seems plain silly. Am I trying to have my cake (the parallelism) and eat it too (by disregarding limitations of Oracle's sequence construct)?

Have not tested this on a RAC, but it seems to work fine - as expected without any overlaps. (version 10.2.0.1.0)

Problem - Inserting Records into Hashed Tables

Help for an ABAP Newbie...
How do I insert records into a hashed table?
I am trying the following, but get the error message,
*You cannot use explicit or implicit index operations with types "HASHED TABLE" or "ANY TABLE". "LT_UNIQUE_NAME_KEYS" has the type "HASHED TABLE".
TYPES: BEGIN OF idline,
    id TYPE i,
    END OF idline.
DATA: lt_unique_name_keys TYPE HASHED TABLE OF idline WITH UNIQUE KEY id,
        ls_unique_name_key LIKE LINE OF lt_unique_name_keys.
" Create a record and attempt to insert it into the internal table.
" Why does this cause a compilation error message?
ls_unique_name_key-id = 1.
INSERT ls_unique_name_key INTO lt_unique_name_keys.

Problem inserting date into MS SQL Server

I am trying insert date into MS SQL Server database. First I used Statement and when I insert the date only date used to be inserted properly and the time used to be always 12:00:00 AM. I tried PreparedStatement and when I insert I get an error message:
SQL Error: [Microsoft][ODBC SQL Server Driver]Optional feature not implemented

I changed the field in the database of DateCreated to timestamp, but when I insert the some binary data is inserted into the database. something like 0000000000000017D.
I installed jtds-0.8.1 driver from source forge. but when try to connect to the database I get an error as:
Connection refused: connect
Error: Connection refused: connect
I have attached the code for setting the driver and url also.

I'm new to Spry, so I have a question:
Can I use Spry to insert data into a MySQL database without
reloading the site?
Reading data from XML file works fine, but I don't know if
writing is possible..

But the data isn't inserted into the mysql database. When I
start the php script directly, it works, so I think it's not a php
problem.
