Insert multi-users for activity with web services
Hi guru,
Can anyone send me some sample code to add more than users to activity with web services, and any field are the required fields. I am using web services 2.0
Thanks
Hi,
I think you'll find you get a better response from the CRM On Demand Integration Development forum, this forum is just about the Administration of the system not integration.
cheers

I was working about this solution but nothing. "http://blogs.microsoft.co.il/yuval14/2012/06/08/how-to-resolve-error-message-the-active-directory-web-services-service-terminated-unexpectedly-event-id-4079-andor-7034/".
I changed the Microsoft.ActiveDirectory.WebServices.exe.config file, add two line " <add key=”DebugLevel” value=”Info” />
<add key=”DebugLogFile” value=”c:windowsdebugadws.log” />", Attach the log

Active Directory Web Services Event 1202
Hi all,
I am stuck with the event 1202 (source ADWS) error on my ADLDS server hosting sharepoint extranet user repository. My sharepoint server is a domain member but
NOT a domain controller. I do not replicate this ADLDS instance with any other server. This ADLDS instance is not synched with AD's at all.
I already read posts existing on the subject and no one solved my problem as they're all related to ADLDS instances hosted on domain controllers
As a reminder the event 1202 (raised minutely) description is:
This computer is now hosting the specified directory instance, but Active Directory Web Services could not service it. Active Directory Web Services will retry this operation periodically.
Directory instance: NTDS
Directory instance LDAP port: 389
Directory instance SSL port: 636
My ADLDS instance is not named NTDS (and cannot as NTDS is the instance name of an ADDS domain) and ADWS correctly service it as the following 1200 event proove it:
Active Directory Web Services is now servicing the specified directory instance.
Directory instance: ADAM_ExtranetUsers
Directory instance LDAP port: 18589
Directory instance SSL port: 18836
So... my investigations result after enabling ADWS diagnostics are:
Following is the trace corresponding to the 1202 event generation

InstanceMap: [14.11.2012 08:57:20] [4] AddSessionPool: DirectoryException trying to create pool: System.DirectoryServices.Protocols.LdapException: The LDAP server is unavailable.
For me the BUGGY part of this ADWS error state within the CheckAndLoadNTDSInstance process. It effectively try to service NTDS instance because it found the NTDS registry key supposed to contain the AD DS instance configuration parameters. The content
of the key is the following on my system (and any system I think):
[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\services\NTDS]
[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\services\NTDS\parameters]
"ldapserverintegrity"=dword:00000002
[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\services\NTDS\RID Values]
This is the normal content on any domain members. But this cause the ADWS service to think there is an NTDS domain service instance to serve which is not the case !!!!!
I resolved the error for a temporary period by removing the registry key above. Because I also think this key has nothing to do on client systems (as stated on technet). I also verified after removing the key that my ADLDS instance is still forcing SSL connections
for simple bind (which is what the ldapserverintegrity registry value is supposed to do. Note this registry settings is also present is the ldap and my ADAM_ExtranetUsers service registry.) Everything worked like a charm for a day and my event log stopped
reporting the 1202 event.
But during the first night, a process recreated the NTDS service registry key I deleted. So the event 1202 start reappearing every minute. Excepting filling my event log for nothing this error has no effect on the working ADLDS instance. So I can live with
but it's rather annoying!
So finally my question is: Is it really a bug or did i make a mistake? If this is by design how can I prevent ADWS to try to serve an instance that does not exists on the system?
Can I set the undocumented ADWS configuration value "InstanceRediscoveryInterval" defaulted to "00:01:00" to something that say "NEVER".
At least to lower events count I will set it to something next to 1 hour or 1 day!
Does someone have a better solution?
Many thanks to any of you taking time to read my poor english ;-)Hi Brian,
Thanks to take time trying to resolve my issue.
- IPv6 is not enabled on my servers (this is one of the first thing I disable on my servers)
- If you read my post carefully you will see that removing the NTDS registry key resolve the problem for about 1 day. This because a process recreate the key automatically during the night (I think it is the KCC process that recreate the key but I'm not
sure)
And if I think it is a bug this is because you can see this wonderful sequence within the traces:
InstanceMap: [20.11.2012 05:57:13] [4] CheckAndLoadNTDSInstance: entered
InstanceMap: [20.11.2012 05:57:13] [4] CheckAndLoadNTDSInstance: found NTDS Parameters key
InstanceMap: [20.11.2012 05:57:13] [4] CheckAndLoadNTDSInstance: trying to change state to DC
.... here traces that shows the exception when the system try to connect (bind) to the NTDS ldap instance generating the event 1202 error ....
InstanceMap: [20.11.2012 05:57:14] [4] CheckAndLoadGCInstance: entered
InstanceMap: [20.11.2012 05:57:14] [4] CheckAndLoadGCInstance: machine isn't a DC, so it isn't a GC
Well ironically the system first think this is a DC just because it found NTDS registry key (this key exists but is empty and does not contain NTDS AD instance parameters excepting ldapserverintegrity). And the next step in the process
(just after CheckAndLoadNTDSInstance step there is the CheckAndLoadGCInstance step) it realizes it is not a DC so it cannot be a GC (global catalog). So can you tell me why the system is trying to service the NTDS instance that does not exist !!!!! And
it knows that... one step later....
Well I think everything is clear and I am suprised that with a such bug I am the only one complaining about that... at least with such level of accuracy (even if I saw posts without clear responses or people complaining that the problem is not
solved)
So for me there is no workaround or solution to resolve this. I repeat disabling the feature is not an option as we are using ADWS to administer our users through AD module for powershell. And I'm always laughing to see poeple proposing to disable a feature
to resolve a bug within it. It remind me the old days where Microsoft enclosed parts of code with try catch blocs to resolve bugs (in fact they just used exception swallowing to make us believe they resolved the bug.....).
So I'm waiting a fix from Microsoft for this unbelievable mistake and a real lack of testing because I can't believe nobody realizes that !!!
Thank you again for your help -
How to do a InsertOrUpdate with web services 2.0
I understand that InsertOrUpdate method is just valid for Web Services 1.0.
a) Is there a way to do it with web services 2.0 ? I imagine using a query and then Update or Insert.
b) if we decide to use web services 1.0 would there be any cons ? (besides a possible performance issue as in the documentation)
c) InsertOrUpdate uses the record "user key" for identification. If need to identify using another field, I suppose that the only way is thru query, etc. Any other ideas ?
Txs. for any help.
AntonioHello Antonio,
I understand that InsertOrUpdate method is just valid for Web Services 1.0.Correct, the InsertOrUpdate method is not available in WS v2.0.
a) Is there a way to do it with web services 2.0 ? I imagine using a query and then Update or Insert. That is one possibility, however it means that every insert or update would consist of two operations. I would suggest reviewing your requirements and expected use cases for a way to determine whether a record is being inserted or updated within CRMOD. The specific approach would depend on whether how the records to be entered into CRMOD are compiled (i.e. user interaction vs. batch sync component)
b) if we decide to use web services 1.0 would there be any cons ? (besides a possible performance issue as in the documentation)There are some objects that are not supported for WS v1.0 as well as the fact that field coverage is not as complete as the WS v2.0 interface.
c) InsertOrUpdate uses the record "user key" for identification. If need to identify using another field, I suppose that the only way is thru query, etc. Any other ideas ?Only certain fields or sets of fields can be used as a user key. These are described in the WS user guide. You can query on other fields to find a record in CRMOD but a unique value must be provided to identify a record for an update operation.

Architecture/design for high volume web service calls from on Demand
Hi,
We have hundreds of end users (less than 600 users) that will be initiating web service calls from On Demand that will deal with both querying (stateful transaction) and inserting/updating data (stateless). Currently, we see a limitation on the number of stateless sessions (33) that can initiate web service calls. We are afraid this will lead to poor performance with the number of sessions that are allocated for stateless sessions.
Can someone provide any design or framework information that can be implemented for high volume web service calls from On Demand? We anticipate 35K+ web service calls that will be initiated from On Demand per hour.

User Defined Exceptions in Web Service
I am trying to create complex user defined exceptions in Web services I am creating. Is there a way in JDeveloper to assist in modifying the WSDL to include all required parameters for fault handling that I can use to do this? Or do I have to write the XML manually in the WSDL file. Any recommended ways to accomplish this?
Hello,
raise duplicate_loan; won't avoid the trigger to insert and commit. If you really want to avoid the insertion, use the raise_applicatrion_error() instead.
For instance : Raise_Application_Error( -20001, 'Insertion cannot be validated' );Then in your Forms module, you can catch it like this:
Begin
Insert Into ...
when others then
LC$Erreur := Substr( SQLERRM,1 , 500 );
LN$err_code := ABS(SQLCODE);
If LN$err_code = 20001 Then ...
End;

How can I authenticate and authorize with Web Service on ESB ?
Hello,
I want to authenticate and authorize client with Web Service published
by HTTP/SOAP BC.
Simply if it is an Web Service as J2EE application, I will use
Basic Authentication with JAX-RPC and Realm.
But I think that Web Service published by HTTP/SOAP BC is not belong
to J2EE Application. Threre is no place to describe security role mapping
(like web.xml).
JBI 1.0 the section "5.5.1.1.3 Normalized Message Properties" comments
JAAS Subject is given in the NM Properties. Really in this package
com.sun.jbi.internal.security.*
implements JAAS autentication and authorization (at JaasAuthenticator).
But I can't see how to configure my Service to use this.

A user that consumes a Web service is authorized to use then in BackEnd?
Hello,
I need to help me please
Can you validate that a user that consumes a Web service is authorized to use this service?.
I mean, I have a backend system, which has an RFC, which we published in PI as Web Services, and a third application consumes it with SOAP Adapter. How I can check that the user is consuming the service is authorized (role / profile) in the backend to run this service?
I searched SAML, but I will not check certificates, I need to check that the user is authorized in the backend, do I need IDM?
Thanks in advance.Hello,
Please go to back end system and see the authorization profile of the user consuming the service. He must have SOAP Run time aurhorization for object S_SERVICE for the specific service. Also, the user needs application authorization for the underlying RFC call.
Thanks,

Security with Web Service calling some EJBs
Hi everybody,
I have implemented some web services residing in a war file deployed on my Tomcat. The web services module is a client to some EJBs deployed on my JBoss. I need to log the user in my realm on each WS request and log the user out before the WS response.
I have implemented security on web applications with JBoss and used JAAS realms succesfully but what do I do in this case with Web Services? I mean the requests are stateless. If I use the org.jboss.security.ClientLoginModule
won't this override the credentials of another user who is already logged in the realm?
I have also implemented a standalone application which spawns a thread for each user request and I am wondering about the same thing. This application is a service listening for some kind of messages; on a message the application should log the user in the realm before calling an EJB and log the user after the request is completed. So it's more or less the same situation as above.
Is this possible? I mean logging many users in the same realm in one non-web application?
Any ideas?
Thank you in advance!!!
thoismrequests are stateless, just as are requests to webapps.
Which is hardly surprising as a web services stack is typically implemented as a web application.
If you could log in only a single user at the same time to an EJB application, it would be rather pointless to have the application as a distributed multiuser system :)
What you might check is whether you're allowed to log in the same user several times, if I remember correctly this can be limited in the EJB module deployment descriptors. -
Sun Java Application Server Performance with Web Services
We are running a web service on SJAS (Standard Edition). Load testing under 1 or 2 users works alright, but with 5 users making concurrent web service calls it immediately crashes the domain. Has anyone else run into performance issues when using SJAS with Web Services? Are there any configuration parameters we need to setup to handle more than 1 connection?
I'm sure that the application server can handle many concurrent connections, just not sure how to configure and where to look for more information. If anyone is aware of actual numbers for load testing, that would be great information.
Thanks,
DawsonHi Dawson,
SJSAS can definetly handle more users. Can you please tell us, what version of SJSAS and web services (jax-rpc 1.1 or jax-ws 2.0?) implementation you are using? When you say it crashes the domain, do you see any error messages in the server.log? -
How can I o create, modify or delete users using OIM 11g web services?
Hi,
I have a requirement to create, modify or delete users using OIM 11g web services.
The end users will be signing on to the online application, a user interface to request ids online. The user interface is the home grown application to request ids.
I want to integrate this user interface with OIM 11g. I generated the java classes using the out of the box wsdl file as mentioned in the Developer’s Guide for Oracle Identity Manager 11g. But I need to know how to create users using web server client from a given wsdl file? Is there a sample web service client program to create a user in OIM?
If you know of any document which I can follow or if you can give any details I really appreciate.
Thanks and Regards,
VirafHi Chong,
Were you able to figure out the approach? I am facing the same issue like this. I have created a web service where the input values are no. of days to extend user's end date and user's employee ID. Output will be true or false. But I am getting error while searching user in OIM DB. I think my web service is not to query OIM DB
Please let me know if you have worked on this senario.
Thanks,

Folder of actively running web service
Hi,
How can I get the folder path of the actively running web service in labview. It seems that it is stored as a sub-folder in C:\ProgramData\National Instruments\WebServices\aws.Hi user508086,
Which api's, jars are you porting with the webservice proxy?
I would like to know which dependencies are present when creating a web service client in Jdeveloper.
In my java project, which only holds the web service client code, uses 4 different project libraries which contain a lot of api's, which aren't needed for only a web service client.
Did you manage to drill down the web service libraries to only those that are being used, or did you ported all jars included in the project libraries (oracle xml parser v2, J2EE, JAX-RPC Client, Commons Logging 1.0.3).
Kind Regards,

No result while creating a service consumer with Web Service Wizzard
Hi,
I've tried to create a service consumer with Web Service Wizzard in SE80 by using URL/HTTP Destination but nothing happens. After the popup with logondata for the WSDL I get the CRM start screen and nothing has been created in the given package.
technical details:
I use a CRM 5.0 system with SP15 (SAPKB70015).
I created the provider service at a 7.10 system with SP5 (SAPKB71005) via SPROXY, SOAMANAGER and WSPUBLISH and get the WSDL-URL from Service Registry.
The Service Registry of the 7.10 system serves as central Service Registry.
Has anybody an idea ?
ChristophGuy,
Thanks for your reply.
This problem has been solved. Since I haven't turned on everything that to use transaction SOAMANAGER needs. After complete the switch-on works, the problem never happens again.
Thanks again. -
Using WS-Security with Web Service Controls in WLI 8.1 SP3
We have a process that calls a web service hosted on a .NET environment. The technique we have used is to generate a service control from the web service WSDL and call that control from a process. The web service is protected using a WS-Security usernameToken policy. The problem is that the .NET environment requires the wsse:Nonce and wsu:Created elements to be provided along with the token and I cannot see how I can specify this using a wsse policy file in WebLogic workshop. Does anyone have any advice for the best way to add this information to the security element in the SOAP header from within a WLI process? I've seen some example code for a java web service client, but that would not really fit with the control-based approach normally adopted in a WLI environment.
You won't be able to do this using the WSSE file.
An easy way to get around this is to use an XML Bean built from the WS-Security XML Schema. You'll have to read the WS-Security spec to determine how to create the nonce, but you'll be able to convert this XML Bean into the Element[] that the setOutputHeaders() method, which is on the service control you call the .NET Web Service with.
