Install Adobe PostScript in command lines (by script)

Hello,
I would like to know if it's possible to install "Adobe PostScript" in command lines (with parameters, by example: shellExecute("c:\winstfre\setup.exe -hidden -port=FILE -DEFAULT=FALSE -PPD=c:\ppd\ADIST5.PPD"); )
For make a script to install it without windows for the user (silent mode).

Error -402 upon installing an extension via Command Line

When I try to install my extension via command line, i receive the following error message:
"Failed to install, status = -402!"
What does this error code -402 mean?
I found someone with a similar problem in the forums: Re: Extension Manager CC failed to install extension
He/She had file names containing non-ASCII characters. But i couldn't find any non-ASCII characters in my project or extension.

Compare two pdf files using adobe acrobat through command line

Does anyone know how to compare two pdf files using adobe acrobat through command line. I want to do this via command line because we want to compare hundreds of file every day through some automated windows tasks.
If command line option is not available in acrobat, then is it feasible to make use of acrobat javascript API to do this task?
Any kind of help will be greatly.

JavaScript: Possible, but very limited. Basically the only thing you can do is simulate clicking the Compare Documents button. The rest has to be done manually.
However, it *might* be possible to automate this process a bit more using a plugin. Ask over at the Acrobat SDK forum for more information...

How to turn off Bluetooth adapter via command line or script?

I'm trying to write a batch script that will be able to turn on/off any connected Bluetooth adapters.
In the "Bluetooth Settings" window, how can I change the "Turn off Bluetooth adapter" setting via command line or script?

Install Directory Instance through command line

Hi,
i tried to install an slapd instance through console, it is not working . Is any body know how to install an instance[b[b]] throug command line. i tried setup,but it is re-installing the existing instance.
Scenario is :
There is a slapd instance running , i want to install another instance, but the console sits there showing "Creating new slapd Instance", it sits there for ever and does not do any thing.
Iam doing it on SUN 2.8 with directory 4.16SP1. My configuration of existing directory is storing in differnet machine, means my o=NetscapeRoot is not where i am installing slapd instance.
Any help or suggestions.

If you are using a remote console, try using the console local to the server root.

Install UCM 11g in command line mode

I am installing oucm 11g on a linux system (suse 11). I would like to know if it is possible to run the installer in command line mode (without using any X11 window server).
I have tried with this command
./runInstaller –jreLoc $JAVA_HOME
but after some requirements check failed because it cannot connect to X11 window server.

Though following installation procedure may not be supported but it worked for me.

Configuring Shutdown without logon, using command line or script

I´ve configured the shutdown without logon capability in Win2012/R2 using the GPEDIT.MSC
How cna i do that by command line?
In the past i could use the reg key ShutdownWithoutLogon, but i´ve configured in the GUI but nothing happened in the registry of the win2012/R2

Since there has no domain enviroment, remote access is more difficult. However, if the network allows this two workgroups can communicate with each other, you can try Powershell Remoting:
Server 1 remote access Server 2.
1) Run
Enable-PSRemoting –Force on server2
You need to run
Enable-PSRemoting –Force on server1, which gives you the rights to access and modify TrustedHosts setting, or you will receive the error “Set-Item : Access is denied.”
2) You can add the TrustedHosts entry on server1:
Set-Item WSMan:\localhost\Client\TrustedHosts –Value remoteipaddress
This command above configures Windows PowerShell Remoting so that you can connect to any computer, not just those inside trusted domain(s).
Then run the script below to change registry value on server2 with Powershell, which will change the value of "ShutdownWithoutLogon"
to "1":
Invoke-Command -ComputerName server2ipaddress -Credential admin -ScriptBlock {Set-itemproperty -path "HKLM:\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\Winlogon" -name ShutdownWithoutLogon -value 1}

Adobe DNG Converter - I need to know what the command-line parameters are for the new DNG-1.4 options (e.g. lossy compression).
Last I checked, there was no updated documentation released - would somebody please help?

This export one project. If you want to export all projects, don't forget the project "PUBLIC_PROJECT", that contains all public stuff.

How do you either set "Show More Tiles" or Start Screen rows via command line or script for Windows 8.1?

Is there a method to change the Start Screens number of rows (similar to Windows 8.0's use of the Explorer\Scaling\MonitorSize in registry). Possibly by forcing the switch for "Show More Tiles" via script etc? This is to enable the device with
Windows 8.1 to be built using a deployment methodology like SCCM and have the Tiles correctly configured as required for a standard look and feel across devices. I do not know why all these switches are not represented in either WMI or the registry to enable
the customization of look and feel out of the box for enterprise deployments.

How to simulate up/down network packet loss, BW, delay from script or command line?

Before ipfw used to cover network QoS parameters simulation from the command line.
Currently, from Yosemite on, PF seems more limited, and only port redirection/restriction seems to be possible.
Network Link Conditioner can do it, but, afaik, not from command line (or script). Which certainly limits a lot for automated testing or other automated operations.
Options?

Thanks for this - I also have an OKI (a C5500) and this is a Godsend as I would struggle to replace it.
A couple of comments:
Points 6 and 7 should be switched - MacPorts wouldn't install until XCode was installed. You my also want to expand the XCode instructions to say that the App Store link downloads the installer and that you need to go into Launchpad and run it to fully install XCode.
The gsed installation also popped up and asked me to install Java (through Software Update). I did this and the installation of gsed continued and completed succesfully.
If wget is in the Downloads folder, the command you have to use it in point 8 should be prefaced with ./ as it's the local folder it will run from.
You have an extraneous line right below the wget command (sdff).
Otherwise, this is a really excellent procedure.

We are installing JRE using a command line script. We keep getting the following error. Is this a bug with the Installer package? Anyone know how to fix it?

Command line switch for silent install (-ms) no longer works for Firefox 35.0

In previous versions of Firefox, I've downloaded the full installer from https://www.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/all/ and created a silent install package using the command line-
"FirefoxSetup35.0.exe" -ms /INI="configuration.ini"
drop the -ms and it installs (albeit not silently)
drop the /INI and it fails
that would indicate that the problem is the -ms switch. Any ideas?
