Install error on Solaris for 11g due to superseeded patches

When I try to install SOA 11g on Solaris 10. I get the error that the follwoing patches are missing
127111
137111
Yet in our version of Solaris these patches have been superseeded as follows
127111 was by 127127-11
137111 was by 137137-09
Anyone run into this?

I had to use -ignoreSysPrereqs per Oracle to make it work

Security Error in Log for 11g WLP

I have a new 11G WLP domain that has one set of clustered managed portal servers on it and several non-portal managed servers. The non-portal clustered managed servers start fine and deploy their apps fine. The portal managed servers do not start at the same time, one or the other will start but both have the error, "Commit events are not broadcast because no JMS Transport is available. Remote L2 caches will be out of sync." and the portal application hangs trying to deploy to even one of the servers. I even removed one of the servers from the cluster and tried to deploy the app to a stand alone managed portal server and it still hangs, error is the same. I have attempted to set up a generic JMS per the instructions on the forum link attached but still have the same issue. Here is the link I have been working off of so far (unsuccessfully)....
Commit events are not broadcast because no JMS Transport is available.
Any knowledge on this for 11g portal would be extremely helpful. Thanks!

App. World for my playbook, has this error message when trying to install an app:

I'm having the same problem, but changing the date to say 2014, rebooting, then back again isn't working.
Anyone know anything else I can do?
Fixed: Delete your wifi connection, then re-add it and it works.

Installing Error in SP1 for SharePoint 2010

hi
i took a backup of share point site from staging server and tried to restore it on production server but when i get the following error.
SP1 for share point 2010 was installed on the staging server so downloaded a ubersrv2010-kb2775353-fullfile-x64-glb.exe for SP1 now when i installing it i am getting the follwoing error
please help why it's not getting installed

LV8,5 Dev Suite install, error "Measurement Studio for VS2003 not installed""

Hi guys,
Installing LabVIEW 8.5 Developers suite, installed LV8,5 OK, but all otehr products (CVI, Studio, etc) come up with error messages as per attached photo, "measurement Studio for VSXXXX not installed"
When should I have installed this ? which DVD has this ?
Any help apreciated

Do you want to install Visual Studio, CVI, etc.? It looks like you are running the device drivers DVD, and must have told it to install All device drivers, rather than just the ones it determined you needed when it scanned your system. So when it tries to install the device drivers for VS and CVI et al, it can't find that software on your PC. If you want that software, they would be on other CD's in your Developer's suite package. Install that, then run the Device Drivers DVD again.
If you only want to install Labview, rerun your DVD for your device drivers again, and only install the features that it wants. I find the device drivers DVD takes a long time to initialize, and I believe that is because it is scanning your PC to detect what other National Instrument products you have installed so it can populate the list of what drivers you need to install.

Installing Oracle Linux 6 For 11g

I'm downloading Oracle Linux 6,2 64-bit with the single intention to simply install Oracle Database 11g Enterprise Edition and I've never used or installed Oracle Linux before. I know that in order to install Oracle 11g database, I will need to have some kind of graphic utility like X but I do not need a Desktop Environment like Gnome or KDE (which is not permitted on servers per company policy). Can someone tell me what exactly or which specific options I will need to minimally install Oracle database 11g? I don't want to install the entire DVD content to my server but rather know what packages are required and ONLY install those. I don't know if the Linux installer has a fairly self explanatory / easy to use options based on me using this system as a database server but if anyone can please help, I'd greatly appreciate it!

Sorry everyone but I've retured back from vacation to focus back on getting Oracle Database 11.2.0.3 installed on Oracle Linux 6.2 64-bit. I've got the O.S. up and I thought I selected all the correct / required packages to perform the standard installation using the Universal Installer but it's not working for some reason. I'm unable to forward my 'xclock' session from the database server host to my workstation (Ubuntu 12.04 Linux). When I open a terminal window on my Ubuntu Linux machine and type 'xclock', the application opens w/o any issues. When I SSH into my Oracle database server and attempt to forward the X11 session over to my machine, I get:

Deployment error on solaris for MS1 and MS2

Hello,
I have set up weblogic server on solaris and installed Application development runtime on top of it. I have one admin server and 2 managed servers .
I have created an upload folder at location where i upload my war files for the applications I deploy =>
/d/apps/Oracle/Middleware/user_projects/domains/base_domain/servers/AdminServer
But when i try to deploy these apps manually through the admin console on my managed servers MS1 and MS2 i always get this error =>
weblogic.management.DeploymentException: [Deployer:149003]Unable to access application source information in '/d/apps/Oracle/Middleware/user_projects/domains/base_domain/servers/MS1/stage/deletionApp/deletionApp.war' for application 'deletionApp'. The specific error is: [Deployer:149158]No application files exist at '/d/apps/Oracle/Middleware/user_projects/domains/base_domain/servers/MS1/stage/deletionApp/deletionApp.war'..
What is the reason for the error? Is this a permissions issue?

I keep getting this error when I try to deploy my app to MS1 or MS2 on solaris ....I have logged in as a sudo user and gave 777 access so it shows owner as me and not a root (dont know if that could be one of the potential causes)=>

As you mentioned I copied the files to the stage directory too but when I try to start serving requests for this war file the war file disappears from the stage folder...I am deploying this manually from the admin console

Solution Manager 4.0 install error logging in for DDIC step 29

Has anyone else seen the error 'Test logon to SAP System <sid> failed"? It states that it cannot login for DDIC. This is at step 29 during the install of the solution manager 4.0.
We are running on a Windows 2003 Server/Oracle 10g.
Any help would be greatly appreciated. We've been hitting this same error for the last couple of days.

I have run into the exact same problem!!!!
During step 29 of the install does it ask you to enter the DDIC password?
It will ask you twice for a password if both the times the login fails then you will have no other option but to uninstall and reinstall Sol Man 4.
The tactic that worked for me is that when it will ask u the passowrd the first time.......before you enter the password.......login in to Sol Man 4 using the default DDIC password 19920706. then change the default password. And then go back to the install and give this new ddic password.
This is the only thing that worked with me.

The logs generated during installation will be written under the folder sapinst_instdir.
Can you please check the logs in the path C:\Program Files/sapinst_instdir/CE71_PROD_ORA/INSTALL/STD/AS and search for Errors in that.
Please share that error message from that log file.

How can I solve this problem to install MAXDB?

Oracle 9i install failing on Solaris 10

Oracle 9i install on Solaris 10 fails at the Database creation stage with Ora error "Out of Memory"
I have a Ultra 10 with 1GB RAM, 2GB swap and lot of space in the filesystem where I am installing Oracle
The oracle release notes asks for increased value for shmmax, shmmni etc by editing /etc/system and according to Solaris 10, it is not required as kernel dynamically allocates those values. It looks like it is NOT. How can I verify?
rcladm talks about shmmax values only with projects. How can I verify that all my applications running on a this box has a higher SHMMAX values and not on per project basis.
In older versions, sysdef could tell us the current SHMMAX values. Is there any comparable commands in Solaris 10.
I am not that comfortable with the rcladm features. Can some one show some examples.
Is anyone successful in installing Oracle9i on Solaris 10. I heard Oracle patch set 9.2.0.5 and 9.2.0.6 is certified with Solaris 10. Does it mean the original version of 9.2 does not install on Solaris 10?

'Net Configuration Assistant is failing" from installation. I tried twice and got the same problem. I tried to run 'netca' from the command line and got the same problem - Java runtime problem. I tried to install patch and could not find Oracle patches for Solaris 10 and the patches are for Solaris 9.
Does anyone have suggestion?

Getting mad trying to install studio11 on solaris 8

Hello,
I know I have to install J2RE or J2SE before but every time I try to download J2RE self-extracting archives I never get the same file length neither the same sum. Obviously, the script aborts when checking file integrity.
I wonder, what I am doing wrong. Here are the results of several attempts under windows and freebsd, using SDM or not. I was unable to install SDM on Solaris for the same reason.

A mount of a 5.9 /opt is ok.

Install Errors for 9i on Solaris 9

I am installing Oracle 9i Solaris 9 and the install went well until the Oracle Database Configuration Assistant. It failed with the following errors:

Can someone enlighten me as to what these mean?

For all of those newbies like me I forgot to set some system settings. Here are the system settings I needed to put into /etc/system:
set semsys:seminfo_semmni=100
set semsys:seminfo_semmns=3000
set semsys:seminfo_semmsl= 256
set shmsys:shminfo_shmmax=4294967295
set shmsys:shminfo_shmmin=1
set shmsys:shminfo_shmmni=200
set shmsys:shminfo_shmseg=20
