Installed Firefox 4, no Firefox button, Menu buttons still in existence, performance seems degraded, any suggestions on how to get firefox button and streamline interface/troubleshoot performance?
My wife installed Firefox 4 today, upgrading from another version of Firefox. She has a ton of addons and bookmarks/bookmarklets. Looking at her Firefox and at mine, they look radically different. She doesn't have a Firefox button, her menu bar is defaulted in place, it appears nowhere near as streamlined as my install does.
She started browsing, and normally she opens a dozen or more tumblr windows at once, to look at photos. They all load fairly quickly, and are loaded within a few moments when she gets to each tab, with her OLD install of Firefox. Post-install, they load only after a few seconds being ON each tab, and all she's seen is a huge perceived performance decrease.
Given that I encouraged her to update given how happy I am with Firefox 4, this is important to me (and my nearness to the doghouse). Please assist.
Ah, I've done it! I needed to set my Firefox up the way yours is.
I think I've got it though.
Go to the CTR preferences (Ctrl + Shift + A, Extensions, Classic Theme Restorer, Preferences)
Once there, check the box that says "Movable back-forward button". Once you're done, go into the Customize page (<code>about:customizing</code>) then drag out the original 29 Back button back into the Customize page. Then simply move your Classic Toolbar Buttons (back/forward) where you want it.
Should look like this. (screenshot attached)
EDIT: I noticed something whilst exploring CTR. The additional toolbar seems to be coming from CTR itself. Go to View (press F10 or ALT to show the menu bar) -> Toolbars -> uncheck Additional Toolbar. How's that?
Let me know if that's what you wanted.

My hard drive recently crashed and I had to have a new one installed, at the same time I upgraded to Yosemite since then I have not been able to get on my banks website to do any online banking. I just get a blank page after I log onto the bank. Any suggestions on how to fix this?
Using Safari? Safari/Preferences/Advanced - enable the Develop menu, then go there and Empty Caches. Quit/reopen Safari and test. Then try Safari/History/Show History and delete all history items. Quit/reopen Safari and test. You can also try try Safari/Clear History and Web Site Data. The down side is it clears all cookies.Doing this may cause some sites to no longer recognize your computer as one that has visited the web site.
Try another browser as a test.

Try tapping the app itself, that worked on mine. Also if it doesnt, you can delete the app and reinstall it.

Upgraded old Mac mini (from 10.4 to 10.6) PowerPC G4 Processor, downloaded latest version of Firefox and ran installer, got a dialogue box that said 'not compatible with this architecture', now I don't have Firefox at all, and it is my preferred browser.
Firefox '''4 versions and later do not run on a PowerPC Mac''' and require at least OS X 10.5 and an '''Intel Mac'''.
The''' latest supported version for your os is 3.6.26''' , you can download it from:

I just upgraded to ff 6.0.1 via an automatic push. Since then, ff hasnt been able to connect to the internet. Error message:
Firefox can't establish a connection to the server at www.google.com.Firefox can't establish a connection to the server at www.google.com.
IE has no trouble connecting to the internet. After upgrading, your firewall may not be recognizing the new Firefox version and is not allowing it access to the internet. On your firewall progam's allowed applications list, remove Firefox, then re-start Firefox, try going to a website, your firewall will detect the new version of Firefox, then give the permissions needed for Firefox to have internet access.

Logitech Marble Trackball MouseThere actually is a wiki entry that points to Delightfully's posts on his blog. Honestly, I've never edited a wiki and I wasn't sure if I'd be stepping on someone else's wiki-toes (so to speak). If there is interest in that, though, I'll learn to edit a wiki and add it.

Can someone please help me with this problem I cannot see how simply attaching audio to a button can be so problematic. I have no idea how to fix this.
I am using CP8 and have found similar issues. When using the responsive project, my slides with multiple buttons have audio attached via advanced actions that will cut out if a user attempts to click another button before the first has finished playing. When the user listens to the entire audio file attached to the button, there are no issues with audio btw. I have tried attaching it to the button, but it plays when the button appears rather than on success. Furthermore, setting it to play audio on success is a problem because there are multiple actions that must be completed for each button. I have also found that setting audio any other way besides through advanced actions can create an audio overlap of more than one audio file. I haven't been able to find a way to time the advanced action or slide so that the user cannot click through the buttons without hearing all of the audio first.
Any ideas on how to get around this problem would be fantastic if it doesn't require an entire rewrite. If I wasn't already 86% through the course development, I would use buttons to initiate branching scenarios which would fix a lot of my issues, but don't want to start over at this point. -
When it is just my desktop on the screen, the taskbar is at the bottom as usual. Now when I open Firefox, the taskbar disappears. This just started yesterday. I'm running Windows XP on this laptop. Any suggestions on how to correct the problem would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.
Have you got Firefox's menubar displaying if so turn that off using
* View -> Toolbars -> [] Menu Bar
That may restore the Orange Firefox Button. Post back as to whether that works.
I do not use Vista, but it seems odd that only Firefox should make the Vista taskbar disappear. You would do better to post your own question in a new thread. -
The red, green and yellow buttons in the upper left corner of the screen disappear whenever I open Safari. I cannot minimize the Safari window which I often need to do if I am coordinating multiple windows between different applications. Does anyone know how to get those buttons back? I guess I could just switch betwen appliations, but I am used to doing it the other way.
You're welcome
You had Safari in full screen mode. -
My mac won't wake up from a sleep and I have to unplug it to reboot as the power button doesn't function as well. Any suggestions? Running Lion 10.7.4 and sending all reports in to Apple.
First things first:
Update your profile (equipent, OSX, etc)
In Lion MS office2004 is not compatible, are you stIll using it?
Do the SMC RESET and do the PRAM reset. -
I downloaded the latest iTunes software update and it properly installed. But, I cannot close the update window showing it was completed and the blue completion bar is full but cannot cancel or close it either. Any ideas on how to clear that out and close the window. Tried to quit on both the big window and the software update title in the menu bar. No luck.
Tried that by shutting down via the power button only as the normal shutdown was nixed by the open window issue. It did not help. Found a very similar question in the discussions and it recommended "Force Quit". That worked and the update works normal and the window is gone. Thanks!
