I don't know if your symptoms are the same as mine, but my problem is the same. Specifically:
My update seemed to go fine, but I noticed that items in Notification Center were not current or missing, as compared to the iPhone. Also, when iTunes saw the iPad without it being connected by cable, the portion of the iTunes screen that displayed the OS status was blank, and it told me that I had to connect physically to update. When I did, iTunes confirmed that iOS 5 was indeed installed and current.
With this, I decided to shut down the iPad completely, and restart it. When it came back up, the lock screen had changed. I now get a full keyboard (not just a number pad). When I attempt to enter my 4-digit passcode (and I know I'm entering the correctone), the iPad won't take it. Now it's completely locked and I can't access it.
The odd thing is the way the screen changed to display a full keyboard on the lock screen. This didn't happen to the iPhone.
All devices are running the current versions of everything. -
I have the 1st generation iPad. All of a sudden it will not connect to my wi-fi. It finds my wi-fi, but will not totally connect. I have done everything...reset network, rebooted router etc and it still will not connect. My other divices are connected....iPhone and 3 Macs. Any suggestions?
Some things to try first:
1. Turn Off your iPad. Then turn Off (disconnect power cord for 30 seconds or longer) the wireless router & then back On. Now boot your iPad. Hopefully it will see the WiFi.
2. Go to Settings>Wi-Fi and turn Off. Then while at Settings>Wi-Fi, turn back On and chose a Network.
3. Change the channel on your wireless router (Auto or Channel 6 is best). Instructions at http://macintoshhowto.com/advanced/how-to-get-a-good-range-on-your-wireless-netw ork.html
4. Go into your router security settings and change from WEP to WPA with AES.
5. Renew IP Address: (especially if you are droping internet connection)
• Launch Settings app
• Tap on Wi-Fi
• Tap on the blue arrow of the Wi-Fi network that you connect to from the list
• In the window that opens, tap on the Renew Lease button

Wifi will not stay connected after Lion upgrade - help?
I upgraded to Lion last week on my iMac and now my computer will not stay connected to wifi... it is fine if I restart my computer, but then it looses its connection, settings when it goes in to screen saver mode - very frustrating, please help!

Anyway... The issues appear for many to be related to a specific Airport card type & firmware version.
I've had constant disconnect problems with my Mini since upgrading to Lion.
My Airport card specs are:
Card Type: AirPort Extreme (0x168C, 0x86)
Firmware Version: Atheros 5424: 2.1.14.9
Connecting to my Time Capsule distributing on:
PHY Mode: 802.11a
The Atheros firmware version appears to be the issue depending on certain wifi network conditions.
After some playing about today I think I've managed to force my Mini to connect on a better frequency, without having to roll back the firmware to the Snow Leopard version or mess with the Mini Airport card settings (via Terminal) by changing some settings in my router (Time Capsule).
These are the changes I made:
Airport Utility > Wireless > Wireless Options
Set Radio Mode to 802.11 a/n - b/g instead of 802.11 a/n - b/g/n (Automatic)
Set 2.4 GHz Channel to 13 instead of Automatic
Set 5GHz Channel to 48 instead of Automatic
My Mini now connects on:
PHY Mode: 802.11g
Signal / Noise: -64 dBm / -96 dBm
Transmit Rate: 54
instead of previously
PHY Mode: 802.11a
Signal / Noise: -73 dBm / -96 dBm
Transmit Rate: 36
This appears now to be stable (no drops in the last 4 hours). It's a low transmit rate still, but better than before.
The iMac is still connecting on
PHY Mode: 802.11n
Signal / Noise: -69 dBm / -88 dBm
Transmit Rate: 216
and all is right with the world (hopefully for the long term) -

if this is happening apple is trying to help you not exceedd your data limit. That only works is if the person you are trying to contact has imessage.

My ipod touch 4th generation has always worked fine, but recently it has said it was connected to the wifi at my house that is password protected so its only used by family but would not allow any connections, no messages would get through to me and i couldnt send any without getting an error, and all of my games that require wifi would not connect. normally i would plug it into my computer and sync it and the problem was resolved, but it started doing it more often and more often. but this last time it didnt work and when i got online to check even my computer could not access the internet. im wondering if this is some issue with the ipod, the modem, or both. i have a freind who also experiances issues with her modem suddenly not working for a random period of time then working again after a bit that we could never figure out, but in this issue it says its connected but wont work.

Perhaps you can rephrase with correct spelling and real sentences that include initial caps and periods and other grammatical niceties.

You're not a liar. They should not charge you $90, it is within the 1-year warranty that comes with it and you are entitled to a free replacement. I have never had the problem myself on a 15 month old MacBook, so there must be SOMETHING that happened to it, maybe without you noticing. But might I recommend a wireless trackpad or Apple "Magic Mouse?"

Yes, I have same problem. Only way you can come out of that screen is- you need to call your phone from another phone, after that it will work. But the problem is- it is occuring again. You can try this method, if it won't work then try- hard reset as told by Andy.

It's not actually my account but it was already in the iPad when i first bought and i've been using this ID for more than three years now, but all the email and verifying email from iTunes get send there instead of my own email, and even that i tried to log in the person's mail it was deleted and no more excisted so i can't verify to iCloud , what can i do? Please help.All downloads from iTunes are tied to the account that downloaded it, you can't re-download content via a different account. You checked the spam folder on yourr old account as well as the Inbox, and depending upon how long ago you did it, have you retried getting it reset : http://appleid.apple.com, then 'reset your password' ?

IPhone 5 wifi symbol greyed out/wifi will not stay connect?
I had an iphone 5 that was having some battery issues, so I took it in and they replaced it with a new 5 (16 gig). I restored my backup, and when the restore was done, I couldn't turn on the wifi. The pull up setting was blacked out and in settings I couldn't move the switch to 'on'. I rebooted the phone, and that fixed the problem for a little bit. Eventually my wifi connection would either disconnect and quickly reconnect or just turn off all together. This can't be a wifi issue, since my ipad and my families apple devices are working fine. I've tried deleting my phone and using it as a new one, reseting the network settings (multiple times) and almost everything I can think of. This has been going on for a few weeks, and every time the wifi cuts out I have to either reboot the phone multiple times, or, if I get lucky, just turn it off and then on again. Its getting annoying and I don't know how to fix it without switching to a new, non apple device, which I really don't want to do. Any advice? (i have the newest software btw, updating changed nothing)

Check against the article below with the troubleshooting that you have done. You also said that you had your iPhone replaced and it still has at least a 90 day warranty on it if it was serviced by Apple, so you may need to take it back to have it looked it.

Wifi will not stay connected on iPad Air 1
I Got a new iPad air as a gift from kids, Dec. 2013 to replace my iPad 1. this new iPad has never been able to stay connected to wifi...if I step away from using it for more than 20 min. I have to go into settings to reconnect. Everyday, all day long this has been an issue! For more than a year now ATT has been to my home and on the phone trying to resolve issues...new router/modems....run new wires....etc. I have documentation form office of the president for these issues For the past year. 3 days ago an ATT trouble support person concluded it was an Apple issue and told me to call them. I have been two days of troubleshooting over the phone with Apple Support and nothing could be fixed, they said never heard of the issue.....but I see hundreds of this issue online.....so they set up for me to have it replaced with a new one of the same....took it in last night 1/30/2015, since I have all documentation for the past year there would be no charge, but I lose my engraved iPad. Ok so get it home, set it up, restore and all those things.....working fine. Get up the next morning and guess what?? Safari cannot get a connection....mail cannot update....games won't updat....ALL of the exact same issues. This ipad has a 90 day warranty......what is my solution to this ongoing very nerve wracking problem? all my other wireless products stay connected all the time...printer, laptops, iPhone 5s....other brands of phones....so far no problem with iPhone 6, but that phone is not here full time to check daily. I don't think I can take to much more of this run around....what is the solution please?
