Installing a second AIR-AP1142-AK9 in same office building

What should I be aware of?  Any issues?

We should be careful while seeing that the channels are not-overlapping. Get Spatial Spatial multiplexing is a multiple antenna technique that increases the data rate as compared to single antenna techniques. Theoretically, spatial multiplexing can increase the capacity of the system as pairs of transmitter and receiver antennas are added to the system. The source data (usually data requested by the user) is split into two or more independent data streams that are transmitted over multiple antennas, called spatial streams. A common configuration is the previously mentioned 2×2 MIMO system. In this case the throughput is theoretically doubled compared to the single antenna configuration. There are some assumptions about the channel correlation conditions and necessary signal-to-noise ratio (SNR) required to approach this increase in throughput, but these topics are best left for another day.
Hello Abhishek,
Exactly WHAT are you takling about?????
Could you elaborate what you mean by this?

    Hello people,
I've to install the second portal (Rel. 1) istance on the same machine. Have someone tried to do this?
    Thanks

    shouldnt be a problem,
under your existing Installation $ORACLE_HOME/install/portlist.ini take the file, modify the port pool so that it doesnt clash, then use the ports list during installing the second server

  • Install a second copy of ORACLE enterprise 9i DB on same HPUX Server

The vendor of third party software we are using has requested we install a second copy of the Oracle enterprise software for installing and testing Oracle patch upgrades.
We are currently running Oracle Enterprise 9.2.0.1. The vendor wants us to upgrade to patch set 9.2.0.5. They do not want us to touch the current environment. So their solution is to install a second copy of 9.2.0.1 and upgrade that to 9.2.0.5. Then migrate each instance of the database to the new environment.
Is that possible? Are there not files that are created at install time that are in common directories like /etc and /usr/local/bin?
It was also mentioned these location could not be changed when running ORACLE Installer.
Secondly another source said the patch set could be applied the current environment without affecting the current instances of the databases. Simply run the migrate utility against each database as we want to bring them into the new environment.
Any thoughts or documentation on this?

From your response I understand that common files like oraenv, tnsnames.ora, sqlnet.ora listener.ora and the ORACLE installer inventory file will not overwrite the previous installs file if I have a created and installed in a second oracle_home.
The plan would be to install the second copy of Oracle software and immediately install the patch set. I will not have any database instances associated with the new oracle_home. Next I would migrate each of the existing database instances from the original oracle_home through the migrate process. If I do it this way I will not need to shutdown the existing instances of Oracle during the install and patch upgrade. Is that correct?
Just to clarify another point. If the patch was installed on the first instance would the existing database instances be affected in some way before running the startup migrate catpatch etc? In other words could I still safely access the databases before doing the upgrade to the instances. Our vendor said that was possible but does not seem to be a good idea to me.

  • How to launch an Air desktop app from a second Air desktop app?

    Hi,
Is there a way to launch an Air desktop app from a second Air desktop app?
I'm using Air 4 with Flash CS 6 on Windows.
    Thanks

According to Adobe documentation, AIR doesn't allow you to launch one application using another on desktop. The best bet that I could find at the moment would be to use the File.openWithDefaultAppilcation() function and open a file(like a .doc or .txt file) that has an AIR app set as the default application to use for X filetype. Unfortunately, launching app(.exe, .app, etc) files directly is not allowed. Probably for safety/security reasons. You might be able to get around that with a Native Extension though. Below is a link to the File.openWithDefaultApplication() method which includes a table of all the filetypes not allowed. Tried messing around with some ways around it, but the best I could do was open a new Finder window(testing on a Mac) and highlight the file. The code below assumes that both AIR apps are installed in the same app directory. Not sure how it would work on Windows but the result might be the same. For Mac, no special characters or anything was needed even though the app I was trying to open had spaces in the filename.
    var filePath:String = "file://" + File.applicationDirectory.nativePath + "/App to highlight.app";
    navigateToURL(new URLRequest(filePath));

  • Cannot find a mounting to install a second hard drive in my Qosmio x70-A

I have looked all over the internet and have gotten no where in my search for a mounting for the secondary hard drive bay in my laptop.  Anybody know where I can get one?
Also I've included pictures of the secondary drive bay and the primary bay.  From the looks of it I can't use the same type of mounting in the secondary bay as in the primary.

I have the same issue, and have found Toshiba support to be completely unacceptable on this.
After getting bumped around from sales to tech to sales because "we don't answer that question, you have to talk to the other guy", I finally got a "straight" answer from sales:
"Sir, we DO NOT sell that part, and therefore I CANNOT tell you a part or model number for the part you may need to install that second hard drive. The only thing you can do is talk to our parts supplier over at National Parts (1 800 524 8338) and ask them to provide you with the model numer or sell you the part."
At this point, I was annoyed, but thought that at least with a straight answer I could proceed.
After a very short hold time with National Parts, a very kind associate answered the phone and listened to my tale of woe. Unfortunately, she was unable to help and said:
"Unfortunately, sir, I have listed that while there is no caddy for the second hard drive slot on you X70-A specific model, there is supposed to be a mounting bracket. Unfortunately, we have been trying for MONTHS to have Toshiba give us the part number, spec, or any other information other than 'mounting bracket', and therefore I'm afraid we have neither a part to sell you nor a part number for you to go looking for one".
At this point annoyance is full-blown anger. How is it possible for Toshiba to make something that should be SO SIMPLE so VERY VERY VERY complicated and impossible.
"Sorry, if you didn't want to spring for the dual drives when you bought it, you're hosed forever sucker." Does not seem like an excellent customer service strategy.
This was the FIRST Toshiba I'd ever decided to spend my hard-earned money on, and now it's a machine I can't upgrade because they can't get their act together with their parts supplier or in-house over a 3 dollar bracket?
    UNACCEPTABLE.
The pictures the original poster shows are exactly what I have, no need to add more o fthe same.
    ANY help, Toshiba?

  • Satellite A300-15M - Can I install a second HDD?

    Hi there.
I own a SatelliteA300-15M. I bought the laptop 2 years ago. I have already 250GB hard drive which came with the laptop. Recently I got my laptop serviced from local shop. I noticed that it has an additional slot for another hard drive. I saw a post that some of the A300/A305 laptops have the space for second hard drive but not the connectors.
If anyone owns A300-15M can they please tell me if i can install a second internal hard drive in my model? Is there a sure way to find if I can really install a second hard drive?

    Hello
    > but not the connectors.
So the case is claer: If you dont have a second SATA connector, you cant install a second HDD.
Check also the forum regarding such questions. The point is that one notebook series (e. g. Satellite A300) is always equipped with the same case but the hardware is different. So not all models have the same features. ;)

  • Blue screen of death while installing any Adobe Air application

Whenever I try to install an Air application I get a  Blue Screen and then my system restarts.
I cannot even take a screenshot  of it.
This happens with every air application I try to install.
I also searched for the same on Adobe forums and found the same problem being faced by someone else.
His problem was resolved by uninstalling a software named "Folder Lock".
I searched my hard disk for this software and found one, so I deleted  that software (shift+delete) and removed all it's traces from registry  too but that still doesn't solved the problem.
I also tried disabling the antivirus software and then install the air application but this also didn't helped.
I was able to install air applications earlier, but now I can't.
Anybody having same sort of problem. One colleague of mine is also having the same problem.
    Please help me out.
My system's config is as follows:
    Windows XP Home sp3
Flash Builder 4, with SDK 4.1, 3.5 installed in it.
    Adobe Air v 2.5
    1.5 GB RAM
    1.66 MHz processor
    Thanks

    Hello chris,
Thank you for taking out your time to solve my problem.
I did all the steps mentioned in that link i.e. installed folder lock and uninstalled it from it's options only.
But it didn't solve my problem.
Here is the screenshot of the Blue Screen Of Death that I was presented while the application was being installed.
The BSOD appeared while the application install progress is shown to the end user.
I hope this will help you get more insight of the issue.
    Thanks

  • Installing a second hard drive in a G4 - advice needed please

    Hi......
I have a G4 Quicksilver (2002) model and I also have a G4 Digital Audio model as well which is currently surplus to requirements.....
I would like to take out the 20Gb hard drive from the older G4 and put it into the Quicksilver as a second internal hard drive (for extra storage capacity....)
I have seen the instructions regarding installing a second hard drive and it doesn't seem to complicated....
I just want to check because the 20Gb hard drive has the operating system on it for the older G4.....
Do I have to fire up the machine and erase the hard drive and then take it out and put it into the Quicksilver...?
Or am I able to simply take it out, put it in the Quicksilver and erase it when I restart the machine....?
I don't have the original installation discs for the OSX...
I talked to a Mac technician at work and he said I can just take out the 20Gb hard drive and put it in as a 'slave' drive and I have to 'bend some pins' (I think he said) when I install it.........and I can then erase the second hard drive and use it as storage.....
any advice would be greatly appreciated.....
    Thanks

    Hi, craigkelleigh -
Ony many drives the label showing jumper pins configurations will be on the end of the drive, just above the block of pins; on other drives it may be on the top, rarely on the bottom.
The block of jumper pins is at the same end of the drive where the data cable (wide, flat ribbon cable) and the power connector plug in.
It is best to move the jumpers before installing the hard drive - they're quite small and hard to manipulate in a confined space. Important - do not move jumper pins if the drive is powered up (running).
As far as removing and installing the drive, you can view/download a how-to PDF or movieclip from these pages -
    G4 (Digital Audio) - http://docs.info.apple.com/article.html?artnum=75313
    G4 Quicksilver - http://docs.info.apple.com/article.html?artnum=75314
In addition, with regard to specific jumper positions, that depends on the make (and sometimes the model) of the drive. There are some resources available on-line, such as jumper diagrams for specific drives. If you would give us the specific make (manufacturer) and model number of your hard drive (that info should be shown on labels affixed to the drive), we may be able to direct you to a specific website page with that info.

  • Installing a second hard drive in a G10-133

    Couple of questions for you...
I'd like to install a second hard drive in my G10-133. Specifically I'm looking at a second 80gig drive (MK8026GAX). Does anyone have experience of installing a second drive like this?
Secondly, I know where to buy the drive from. But, does anyone have any advice about the drive carriage itself (ie. the bit of kit which holds the drive in place in the bay)? Specifically, where can I get one?
    Cheers everyone.

    Hi Andrew,
Ignore Markus, you dont have to install the same size HDD in order for it to work. Your Qosmio shipped with an 80GB, you can put a 100GB if you like or a 20GB doesnt matter, aslong as you, as Markus correctly states you set the jumper correctly.
For the HDD to be fitted, you need the mounting brackets, try someone like Hugh Symons or CBC Computers, Google it for details.

  • Updated iTunes to 12.0.1 on XP after updated recieved error message "The procedure entry point ADAdPolicyEngine_DidEnterStation could not be located in the dynamic link dll" "itune not installed correctly error 7 (windows 127). reinstalled same error

updated iTunes to 12.0.1 on XP after updated recieved error message "The procedure entry point ADAdPolicyEngine_DidEnterStation could not be located in the dynamic link dll" "itune not installed correctly error 7 (windows 127). reinstalled same error. Tried suggested steps
Remove all of these items in the following order:
    iTunes
    Apple Software Update
Apple Mobile Device Support (if this won't uninstall press on)
    Bonjour
    Apple Application Support
Still getting same error message. Can anyone help me

For general advice see Troubleshooting issues with iTunes for Windows updates.
The steps in the second box are a guide to removing everything related to iTunes and then rebuilding it which is often a good starting point unless the symptoms indicate a more specific approach. Review the other boxes and the list of support documents further down page in case one of them applies.
Your library should be unaffected by these steps but there is backup and recovery advice elsewhere in the user tip.

  • "Sorry, an error has occured. The application could not be installed because the AIR file is damaged

    Hello-
I have an air application that is distributed via CDROM, the app is signed by a code signing certificate and timestamped. In mid-August when my certicate expired my users started calling stating that they couldn't install our product due to the following error: "Sorry, an error has occured. The application could not be installed because the AIR file is damaged. Try obtaining a new AIR file from the application author." From my understanding a timestamped application is taken at a point in time when it's generated so why would it matter if the certificate was still valid? I have since replaced the certificate and will need to redistribute to my (thousands of) users however when I test it out using a future date and time the same error occurs. Any information to help resolve this would be grately appreciated.

    my command:
    C:\Users\HOME USE\Desktop\AIR Development\HelloWorld>adl
    application.xml
    C:\Users\HOME USE\Desktop\AIR Development\HelloWorld>adt
    -certificate -cn HelloW

  • Installing Business Objects XI R2 on the same server (LPAR) multiple times

    Greetings!
My goal is to create "multiple" Business Objects XI R2 instances on a single AIX LPAR, so that I might have up to 8 Business Objects environments.  Each environment would be be used to promote reports through test and eventually production.  Yes, I know 8 environments is a lot, they won't necessarily be running simultaneiously.  We do want 8 environments, with 8 CMS databases all separated.
I belive there are two possibilities:
    1.  I can create 8 separate Business Objects installs, each in their own separate directory structure, each install owned by a different user.  Each installation would use a separate set of ports statically bound to each service that needs to be accessed over a firewall (like CMS, inputFRS, outputFRS,...).
    2.  Run a single installation of Business Objects and keep sepaarate CMS databases and repositories.   I doubt this would work as I've only been able to find configurations for clustering, in which all CMS servers use the SAME CMS database.  Is this option even possible?
Does anybody have any similar experiences using AIX?  I have already attempted getting a second install running (option #1) but so far I've not been able to keep the second environement's CMS server running using statically-bound ports.  They will, however, run simultaneously on the second install without statically binding the ports.
    Server details:
    IBM AIX 5.3 TL-08
    Business Objects XI R2 SP4
    CMS database - IBM DB2 9.1.4
Reporting database - IBM InfoSphere 9.5
Server separated by clients via firewall
Users will access Infoview, some access w/Crystal Reports XI
    Thanks for your consideration,
    Sean Boone

    Thanks for the replies everyone!
I've gotten the two environments running but the CMC from one environment is trying to control the CMC from the other.  For example, I have added the two installations to a single machine and set them up as follows:
boadmin - userid of "first" environment
boadminf - userid of "second" environment
    CMS #1:  boenv:6400
    Tomcat ports:  8080, 8443, 8005 (std)
    CMS #2: boenv:5500
    Tomcat ports:  5905, 1720, 1731
So when I login to the CMC on CMS #1 and check "Settings" I see the database alias that I expect.  When I logout and then login to the second CMS I see the same CMS database alias.  In other words, they are both using the same database.  However when I run the "cmsdbsetup.sh" command, it shows the correct alias for each environment.
My only thought at this point might be that since the daemons were given default names I'm going to see the same "service names" even though they are controlled via a separate name server.
Any clues as to what might be the cause here?
    Thanks again!
    Sean Boone
