Installing  and serial number issue

I tried to install Photoshop Elements 10 which was rolled backed as a shared technologies problem.  I quit Adobe Bridge.  I tried install again but now the message is the serial number is invalid. What to do.

Do you have any other Adobe software installed?  Which version of Windows are you using?

    Hello,
    I recently bought a CC membership but I seem to be getting the same trial mode/serial number window others have been receiving when trying to open a Creative Cloud app. I've already spoken with two Adobe techs without any resolves. I've uninstalled and reinstalled CC, I renamed an OOBE file that the tech suggested I do and looked into the Language preferences. I'm on an iMac 10.8.4.
    I'm really not technically minded but to me it seems like something continues to read my original CS6 trial I had previously. I've since uninstalled it but something remains perhaps My only thoughts at this point would be to make sure I have any recent files backed up then perhaps use Time Machine and revert back to before I installed CC then try installing again OR do the trial and hope once the 30 days are up it will read my paid account.
    I would really appriciate any feedback. I've used far too many excuses at work having missed deadlines due to this issue.

    Okay, I think I have it solved *fingers crossed* by following this:
    Mac:
    1. Please click on "Go" and navigate to /private/etc
    2. Open "hosts" file and check out for any entries for Adobe.com
    3. Remove the entries and save the file
    4.  try again launching any product from CS6

    I did a backup of the hosts file and labelled it "hosts-backup" and put it on my desktop, then made another copy of the hosts file (since you can't alter the original). This time I removed ALL the Adobe entries and named the file "hosts", and saved that to the desktop. I then replaced the original hosts file with the altered saved version by dragging it into the etc folder.
    I started up Flash cc and it worked! I've since downloaded PS cc and it's opened as well. I just hope it continues to function...

    The serial number that you might have is an upgrade version & it will be asking for a previous qualifying version serial number.

  • Can I download Adobe Creative Suite 5.5 Design Premium on a new Mac if I've had it installed on my old one since December 2011? I have the product key and serial number.

    I bought a new Macbook Pro 13 inch in December 2011 and I bought the Adobe Creative Suite 5.5 Design Premium shortly after and installed it on the computer.  The other day my friend spilled his drink on my computer and it is now going to cost me $800 to get it fixed so I am considering getting a new one instead of getting mine fixed I'm not sure if the memory is still ok or not either.  It didn't get that wet and Apple told me it is more than likely ok but there is no guarantee that they are going to keep the memory when they fix it.  So I was wondering if I get a new one if I can install the Suite on the new one I still have the product key and serial number for the Suite.  Or if I decide to get mine fixed and the memory is swept, then can I reinstall it on mine after it is fixed?  If anyone can help me it would be greatly appreciated!!! Thank You

    deactivate your installation on your old computer (help>deactivate).

    Roland Jean your account only has an upgrade for Photoshop CS3 listed under it.  In order to install you need to enter your previous qualifying serial number in addition to your Photoshop CS3 serial number.

    Repair the Hard Drive - Mavericks, Lion/Mountain Lion
    Boot to the Recovery HD:
    Restart the computer and after the chime press and hold down the COMMAND and R keys until the menu screen appears. Alternatively, restart the computer and after the chime press and hold down the OPTION key until the boot manager screen appears. Select the Recovery HD and click on the downward pointing arrow button.
    Repair
    When the recovery menu appears select Disk Utility. After DU loads select your hard drive entry (mfgr.'s ID and drive size) from the the left side list.  In the DU status area you will see an entry for the S.M.A.R.T. status of the hard drive.  If it does not say "Verified" then the hard drive is failing or failed. (SMART status is not reported on external Firewire or USB drives.) If the drive is "Verified" then select your OS X volume from the list on the left (sub-entry below the drive entry,) click on the First Aid tab, then click on the Repair Disk button. If DU reports any errors that have been fixed, then re-run Repair Disk until no errors are reported.
    Clone Mavericks, Lion/Mountain Lion using Restore Option of Disk Utility
         1. Select Disk Utility from the main menu then press the Continue
             button.
         2. Select the destination volume from the left side list.
         3. Click on the Restore tab in the DU main window.
         4. Select the destination volume from the left side list and drag it
             to the Destination entry field.
         5. Select the source volume from the left side list and drag it to
             the Source entry field.
         6. Double-check you got it right, then click on the Restore button.
    Destination means the internal drive. Source means the external startup drive.

  • Unable to update Premier Elements even after the Product and Serial number have been registered

    Trying to apply online updates through Premier Elements but i am told there is a problem with the serial number.
    I have followed all the online advice to try and resolve but nothing seems to work.

    We will try to help you but typically Adobe is the only one who can resolve serial number issues.
    But, whether here or at Adobe Chat, details are needed.
    1. What version of Premiere Elements is involved and on what computer operating system are you trying to run it on?
    2. Did you successfully install the version and ran into problems only when you went to use Help Menu/Update or some
    other scenario? If so, what was the exact message that you got from Help Menu/Update? What were you seeking to update -
    Camera Raw or an Update for the version that you have?

    Aperture keeps asking for my name and serial number, but only on one of my Macs. This is a new Mac that I restored from my old Mac. It made sense to have to put in the documentation the first time, but the program keeps asking for it. Any thoughts?

    Be sure to enter the serial number, when you are logged in from an account with Administrator priveleges - otherwise the serial number cannot be stored.
    Aperture is installed for all users on your mac, so the serial number is written to the system library, not the user library; this requires read/write access for administrators. Do you enter your serial number using an administrator account?
    SInce you migrated your system from another mac, you still may have an older ProAppSystemID file or Aperture cannot write to the System Library.
    To stop Aperture asking for the serial number, first check, if you still have an old file "ProAppsSystemID" in your System Library.
    Quit Aperture.
    Go to your MacintoshHD and open the folder "Library", then "Application Support", then "ProApps".
    Remove the File "ProAppsSystemID" to the Desktop, if it exist and restart Aperture.
    Reenter your serial number, hopefully for the last time.
    Sometimes Aperture writes this file to a temporary directory, when it cannot write to the Library. If the above does not work, look at the temporary directory /tmp
    Use the Finder's "Go" menu
         Go > Got to folder    and  enter /tmp into the textfield. If you see ProAppsSystemID there, move it to its proper location in /Library/Application Support/ProApps.
    Aperture must be running, and you will have to wait a few minutes to be seeing the file appearing the /tmp directory.

  • 2 issues - Invalid Serial Number issue & Lightroom 5 Trial vs full version folder hierarchy question

    not sure if I should split these two questions...
    1 - Invalid Serial Number issue
    I'm helping out a friend with their large photo collection and they bought Lightroom 5 and received the serial number but when we add this to Lightroom it states that it's invalid - I tried leaving it until the following week (I visit them weekly) and it still refusing the number - when I went into their Adobe account and took a look at downloads the option to download the full version is greyed out (or an x - I'm not sat on their computer right now so can't double check) but it wouldn't allow me to do anything so we just had the trial version.
    anyone know what the issue is - shall I get them to contact Adobe to get them to take a look - I also had issues trying to find a customer support email address lol. (I seem to faffing with lots of websites/software/companies this week so getting a little frazzled!)
    2 - Lightroom 5 Trial vs full version folder hierarchy question
    This question is linked to the above i- I am wondering if the folders in Lightroom are different in the trial version vs the fully paid version.
    I had set up some greeting card templates and contact sheet layouts for my friend and tried to transfer them to her computer but whilst, LR 'sees' the folders it just doesn't acknowledge the templates - I tried it several ways but I've not had that issue before so will that sort itself when I get the serial number fixed?

    Hi Lenny, the two questions may be related but the trial is actually the same as the full version. I would suggest getting the serial number issue sorted out first. There have been known issues where a paid for product still shows up as a trial.There is not a lot the community can do. You need to contact Adobe directly using the link below. Use the dropdown menu for boxes (1) & (2) to scroll down the list and choose:

    The AVLB status must come automatically in the equipment master.

    We have equipment master IE01/2.. plant is assigned  after MIGO  reeving plant is getting updated in the equipment master but the serial number status is not getting changed to AVLB.... also the serial number profile is with MMSL procedure.

  • Elements 1.0.1 won't install - invalid serial number

    Adobe no longer offers support on this product. We can't afford to upgrade. My computer crashed now I can't get through the install menu a previously working serial number will not work on this new machine. I keep getting a message that the serial number is invalid. The operating system has not changed. I am still using Windows XP on a Dell machine. Please Help.

    The online chat function was finally open and I had a great tech direct me to the appropriate place in the website to request a repaired serial number - after logging into my account and the support portal there's a nifty little tab called serial number where I could upload the scan I had made of my case and serial number. They were able to email me the correct serial number to input and voila, just like that she installed beautifully. While this has been frustrating, and I would highly recommend every organization take the time to document date/place of purchase and all serial numbers (online accounts/passwords too) Adobe clearly has their act together. NOW if they can just get some competent US Citizens who speak English clearly to support the product and who know how to do their jobs I will continue to use and recommend Adobe products. I hope my experience helps somebody else!  Thanks so much to those who tried to help us by responding to this post.

    Hello, I am wondering if I can get some help here.A while back I had a motherboard replaced by lenovo service. The machine arrived turned on once and then it died.Once the tech left the machine was used a handful of times and then stored. I a now working on it and I noticed this screen, which appreared after the mobo replacements.  Iam wondering if anyone knows how to fix this issue. What is Error 00CE really saying? Thanks  

    It's really saying what shows on the screen there....the serial number and machine type are invalid.  My guess is the tech that replaced your board did not update the MTM/SN fields when he flashed BIOS on the new board (if he flashed BIOS at all), and those fields are still listing the defaults that are populated by the board manufacturer.
    Run the latest DOS BIOS flash package (I think current BIOS is 45 maybe for the A0 branch), and when prompted, enter the correct information from your system for the machine type and serial number.  That should alleviate the POST error you're seeing.

    In the equipment master data there is a option for entering an "Internal  note" to the right hand side of the Equipment description. We have maintained a few masters  with this internal note. The team wants to have a pop-up of this message everytime
