Installing issues-the application just closes

I dowloaded and unzipped the files fine but now if I try to run set-up the install bar pops up and fills up, then the application just closes. I've doe this twice just to be sure I didn't do anything wrong.

Check the Task Manager or Activity Monitor , close any instance of PDApp.exe already running and then try installing again.

Applications just close?

One of my co-workers has just started experiencing an issue where all of his applications just close out for no reason, with no error message. He is then brought right back to Finder.
Apps running so far have been:
iTunes
Safari
Quark 6
Quark 7
various CS3 products
This just started happening the other day, and it has happened w/a mix of those programs running at various times. He is still running 10.5.2, as 10.5.3 was causing other issues w/Adobe products, and we haven't moved up to 10.5.4 as were waiting to see if there are any other issues caused w/Adobe apps.
Any ideas on what could be going on?

At the very least s/he should have gotten the generic your program quit - cancel, relaunch, send info to Apple - dialog box. And don't forget the crash logs - even mere mortals kind sometimes find hints in there. Seeing the list of applications I note that they all have high memory footprints so I'd immediately start looking at memory usage, empty hard drive space, and hard drive health.
The memory usage is self explanatory, I think. With these programs (especially if more than one is going to be run at a time) the computer should have a minimum of 2GB and I'd prefer 3GB. As I'm sure you know, if you launch another program and your computer doesn't have enough physical memory for it, RAM data will be written to the hard drive to free up enough space. Your hard drive needs to have enough free memory for virtual memory to work efficiently and if the hard drive is getting close to full virtual memory begins having problems. And finally, if the hard drive needs repair (not physical but file repair via Disk Utility) virtual memory can also have issues. And then there is the possibility of physical drive issues so when you open up Disk Utility check out the S.M.A.R.T. status of the drive.
The issue might be totally unrelated but it would be worth checking out that the computer's hard drive isn't more than 90% full or has at least 10GB free. This is my standard recommendation for a healthy computer. Run Disk Utility and repair the drive if necessary. If the computer has only 1 or 2GB of RAM consider upgrading it if possible. Throw away Quark - okay, I'm showing a serious bias here but Q6 just fried my tuchus from here to next week more than I want to think about. I can't get the university communications department to move to InDesign but they have nothing but trouble with Q and expect me to drop everything to help them out.
Before I write a book here, I'll also mention the standard diagnostic tool - a new user account. If the crashes don't follow into the new account you know there's something going on with the account & not the computer.

May I install only the application?

I just received final cut studio today. If I install only the application it will required 4 GB according to the box it came in.
Since I dont have enough HD space, may I install only the application and be able to edit videos?
Should I wait and get a bigger HD?
What is the Maximum "INTERNAL" HD I can get for my MACBook PRO CORE DUO?

Someone else will know the maximum HD you can get.. I think 250 Gigs.. but could be wrong.
In any event, you will need much more space on your drive if you are concerned about 4 GB on your 120 GB drive. For one thing you need to maintain a pad of 15 to 20 percent empty space on your system drive at all times.
You can install various elements of the suite while not installing all of the tutorials and help files. But you will need DVD Studio Pro if you intend to burn DVD's.
You will also need to purchase a separate firewire drive for your media. It's hard on the internal drive to run the program and seek the video/audio at the same time.

No, but if you really mean that the way you said it, I don't know that Print is the best way to this. If you haven't already, after selecting the images you want to get printed, try clicking the Export button in Book or Library module and then selecting format .PDF. Once you export the file to .PDF, try opening it where you saved it and printing from there, not in Lightroom but in Adobe Reader. If that doesn't help, here are a couple of videos that might--follow their instructions carefully with no shortcuts:

If Lightroom keeps closing even when you try all this, you may need to reinstall Lightroom because your copy may be screwed up.

Media Encoder issue - The application was unable to start correctly (0xc0000022)

DL is technology linking DVA applications together.
Do you by any chance have mixed versions of DVA application? Like Premiere Pro CC 2014 and AME CC (2013)?
That could possibly cause such issue. You should use matching releases as much as possible.
So if you update one video product (Premiere Pro, AE, Prelude, AME, Audition) you should update all the other ones.
If that's not the case, open up task manager, Force End Dynamic Link task. Then try to launch AME.
If still no help, reboot the system and then try to launch AME.
If still have this issue, hold the shift key then launch AME (This will reset AME preferences).

When I log off, there is always an update waiting to be installed but the wheel just keeps spinning and nothing happens .

For the past two weeks, whenever I've logged off there has always been one update waiting to be installed. I found this curious, so last night I waited to see what would happen. The wheel just kept spinning and spinning--and pretty obviously the update was not installed. And now the update is still waiting to be installed. (Only in the last instance, when I was checking to see what happened, did I power off the computer. In all the previous instances, I found the computer OFF when I checked the following morning. I'm trying to install and the Application Manager continues to "quit unexepctedly" can't figure out why! Mac

Trying to get Photoshop and says it needs to be opened with the application manager. So as that is opening, it quits unexpectedly. Any ideas?

A reset may help. Tap and hold the Home button and the On/Off button at the same time for approximately 10-15 seconds, until the Apple logo reappears. After the logo reappears, release both buttons and await restart.

I downloaded and tried 3 times but it won't install. The circle just keeps going around and around.

And Adobe has yet to provide a number for tech support or a chat capability. I just keep being redirected to tutorials that do not address this problem.

Hi,, last two months when I use any iPad application suddenly it shut down by it self. I thought at the beginning that my OS need to be updated, then I did update it, but it still happening.

it happens when the iOs run out of ram memory....Ipad 1 has few memory, maybe this application is not well projected to save memory use

Am i not using Cal the right way or is the application just not great?

Are you refering to the Calendar application on your iPhone, or iCal on your computer?
On your computer you can color code events by putting them in different calendars. For example on my work iMac I have home as Blue, Work as Red. In addition I have an iPhone calendar in iCal which is green that all events created on the iPhone go to. Then I can sort them to the appropriate calendar in iCal.

Check also your Login Items for your User Account under System Preferences > Accounts. You can remove it from the list. Good hint this one, as I just opened mine and found an app that I do not want to start at login and did not know that was there.
