Installing iTunes onto Windows RT 8.1

Hi
Is is possible to install itunes onto Windows RT 8.1 (Microsoft Surface Device)
I have tried downloading the latest versions of both the normal and x64 editions but both come up with "this app cant run on your pc"
I have also tried running as an administrator but doesnt help.
Any ideas or is it just not compatible with RT?

RT is a watered-down version of 8 that only runs apps designed for it (like apps running on iOS). Only full windows 8 can run iTunes.

Hello there JadeMB,
From what you are describing here, it sounds like you may have the 64 Bit version of Windows 8 so the 32 Bit installer for iTunes will not work.

Trouble installing itunes onto Windows 8 laptop

Hi, I'm having issues installing itunes onto my windows 8 laptop. It downloaded fine, eventually after I found the right folder! But when I go to open the setup file it doesn't do anything. I looked in the task manager and saw the itunes installer was actually there but still not doing anything?? I've tryed running it as an administrator, deleting it all and starting again etc. Running out of ideas as I'm at the limit of my knowledge, any help would be great.

Any better luck if you try a manual uninstall of the GEAR drivers prior to the iTunes install?

What's the precise text of that error message, please? (There's a few different ones I can think of that you might be getting.)

Okay i had to install Itunes onto my new OS because window's Vista messed up on me and i can't get any of my old purchases back from my account such as music and movies any ideas on how to get them back (i do not have the folder that contains old items)

How to install itune under Windows XP 64-bit professional with SP2?

I have iPhone 3GS for over a year and I have set it up at my work computer (Windows XP professional) with latest iTune and it work great. Recently our IT has upgraded our system and all of our new machines has Windows XP 64-bit OS.
I can't figure out how to install iTune under Windows XP 64-bit, to synch with my e-mail, contact and calendars any more?
Can any one help?

New machines? With XP 64-bit? Your IT department is being rather foolish, in my opinion, deploying new installations of XP 64 since Microsoft discontinued mainstream support for it (more than two years ago) and it's never really been satisfactory.
Anyway, there is no version of iTunes that supports the 64-bit version of Windows XP and almost certainly never will be. If you search the iTunes for Windows forums for "XP 64" you'll find threads describing the process some people have used to "crowbar" iTunes onto XP 64, with varying levels of success, none of them complete. Connecting to iPhones is one of the most problematic issues.

i'm trying to install itunes onto a new laptop its a compaq with windows 7. it belongs to a friend and it never had i tunes on it before. i have tried downloading itunes from the main apple site, however when it begins installing the download stalls around 7 or 8% and thats it. have admin access, deleted temp internet files already. itunes 11 has a specific spec that needs to be met before you can install it. Please verify from this if your pc pass the requirement from this link

Unless otherwise specified, in C:\Documents and Settings\User\Local Settings\Temp. However, if you want to know for sure for your system, download something (if you haven't already) and do a search for that specific dwnld. Then, drill down to the containing folder.

Although you're getting a different error message, try the procedure from the following user tip with that one:

Generate the error message again. While the error message box is open, hold down the Alt key and hit the PrtSc key. Paste the screenshot into an image file (using a program like Paint), and save the file.

You can try using this tool to first remove all traces of Reader from your computer:

Then, you can download the full offline Reader installer from
http://get.adobe.com/reader/enterprise/
After downloading, restart your computer and run the installer before doing anything else.
