Installing Lightroom 5. Error 1603.
I'm trying to install Lightroom 5 using Adobe Aplication Manager and it ends with the following error mesage: Third party payload instaler Install Lightroom 5 CCM.exe failed whith exit code. 1603. What can I do?

Sounds liek something is blocking the relevant components. Turn off any extras like security tools and other utilities.

Adobe Acrobat XI Standard 11.0.10 silent install failing with error 1603

I just updated my AIPs for Adobe Acrobat Pro 11 Pro and Standard. The Pro silent install is working fine. But I cannot get the Standard install to run on Windows 7 or WIndows 8. I have gone over every detail that I can think of or find on forums.
I use the Adobe Customization Wizard XI and choose the basic stuff to create my transform. I don't generally enter a serial number in the customization setup but I tried that and the installation did appear to complete successfully. But when I tried to open Acrobat it did not work. Processes like PDapp.exe where running in a loop but never stopped. Without a serial I get the errors below and the install fails almost immediately. I have recreated the API and transform a few times hoping it would help.
Installing with the following line msiexec /i "%~dp0AcroStan.msi" TRANSFORMS=AcroStan.mst /qb /L*v c:\acrobat.log I get an error message that just says "error".

When I run the AcroStan.msi by itself the installation completes successfully so it would appear the issue is in customization process or the .mst file. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Problem installing CS4 -- Error 1603
Unable to install CS4. Error 1603: Fatal error during installation.
Running Windows 7 Pro 64bit (up to date), 4GB ram, plenty of HDD space,etc.
I’ve tried the following, but still get the same result: Error 1603; Installation failed, one or more components of Adobe Photoshop CS4 failed to install correctly. List of failed installed applications include Photoshop, Bridge, Device Central. I have a legal valid copy of CS4 (confirmed by Adobe).
Disable startup items and non-Microsoft services
Fix permissions on the Windows Color Profiles folder
Remove Google Desktop
Install the Adobe product into a single-byte folder –n/a
Clear contents of user and system temp folders
Verify that the Windows Installer Service is started
Install to a folder that is not encrypted –never saw this option
Ran the Adobe Cleaner Tool
Uninstalled CS4 and Lightroom and any related applications using CCCleaner
Disabled the firewall and virus software
Anyone have any suggestions or new ideas. I see a number of people have had this issue, though I’ve been unable to resolve it with the typical solutions others have suggested. Sorry if I've left something out or posted this in the wrong place -- first time asking a question on a forum. Thanksi have exactly the same problem... but on win 8.1 (64 bit)

I personally whould not recommend that, because uninstalling the update KB2918614 places the Windows Installer service back to its original design, but also leaves it vulnerable to the reported security issue https://technet.microsoft.com/library/security/MS14-049

so, the right way to solve this this, is fixing user credentials and permissions, that could be corrupted by a virus.

after that, you can try uninstall KB2918614 and then install KB2918614 again from Windows Update in Control Panel. -

I uninstalled all Adobe CC software, ran Adobe CC Cleaner, cleaned my Registry using Piriform CCleaner 5, rebooted and reinstalled CC from scratch. Same problem--everything else installed correctly except Lightroom 5. Also tried uninstalling KB2918614--no joy.

I got this same error both when trying to download Lightroom from Creative Cloud, from the Lightroom 5 install disk I have, and from the 5.6 update that downloaded.
The problem started when my version of 5.4 (which was working fine) told me to upgrade to 5.6. The upgrade happily removed 5.4, and then failed in the middle of the 5.6 upgrade.
Since then, I can't install any version of 5.x, even after rebooting Windows.
Creative Cloud Download & InstallNo. I tried those suggestions that Ned Murphy sent, but still got the same install error.
Last night, I had some Apple installs (iTunes update) fail as well with an "internal error" on that same PC. Using tracing tools, I think it is something to do with the registry. I think it is probably time for me to reinstall Windows.
If I didn't do gaming on that computer, I'd ditch it for a Mac, as it is my last computer running that horrible Microsoft sludge known as Windows with their infernal, complex, buggy registry. I have switched to Mac on every other computer in my world (work, living-room entertainment).
Anyway, sorry for the negativity, but this problem is immensely frustrating. I have a library of 150,000 images that I now cannot use Lightroom to manage. -
Installing Lightroom 5 Serious error! Need serious help
I click install on the Creative Cloud Apps for "Lightroom 5" (5.6 I think) It start's downloading get's to about 42% EVERYTIME start's "Extracting" Start's skipping to 50% And then 83% And then say's Failed to install and I click "Learn more" And this come's up:

I have not been able to reinstall Acrobat Pro on my laptop. I have Suite 6 Design & Web Premium on my HP laptop. I have Windows 7 operating system. All of a sudden Acrobat Pro will not open so I uninstalled and tried to reinstall the program.
