Instead of substitution folder user want substitution link in his home tab.

Hi All,
We are using SRM 7.0.
User is having separate maintain subsitutes folder in his login.
As per his requirement instead of Maintain substitutes folder, he wants the Substitution link in his home screen and there is no separate role created for this.
What are the settings needs to be done in this regards?
Please help.

Hi Venkata,
There is one role needs to be assigned to user for using substitution.
In normal case if you assign that role to user, user will get substitution link in his home screen as per second screen shot.
But for one of the user whenever we are adding substitution role to him, instead of substitution link he is getting separate substitution folder in his login.
I think there can be SRM setting issue which needs to be done through portal.

    No. If you simply click on a hyperlink in pretty much anything, Safari will open since it is the default browser. The only option you have is tap and hold on the link, and then select Add to reading list. It will then be stored int eh reading list in Safari.

    In Lion the Finder folder is now invisible.  To make it permanetely visible enter the following in the Terminal applicaiton window: chflags nohidden ~/Library and hit the Enter button - 10.7: Un-hide the User Library folder.
    For opening your domain file in Lion for the first time or to switch between multiple domain files  Cyclosaurus has provided us with the following script that you can make into an Applescript application with Script Editor. Open Script Editor, copy and paste the script below into Script Editor's window and save as an applicaiton.
    Just launch the applicaiton, find and select the domain file you want to open and it will open with iWeb. It modifies the iWeb preference file each time it's launched so one can switch between domain files.

    If I select my user name as a storage location in Itunes, Itunes creates folders for artist name right in my user folder, instead of in my user/music folder.  This gets especially annoying because if I tell Itunes to store my "media" in my user/music folder, Itunes will then create a folder named "music" in my "music" folder and will also create additional folders in my user/music folder location to store other non-music media in as well. It is very annoying to see this lack of affinity for folders between two Apple created programs.

    In SharePoint 2013,
    I have created new site collection under "\sites" managed path. Then I have created Sub-Site called "\sites\abc\Mobile" under it.
    Now,
    Site collection - http://sharepointweb/sites/abc and
    Sub-Site - http://sharepointweb/sites/abc/Mobile
    Site Template: Team Site / Publishing Site
    After creation of the above, go to sub-site -> click on "Document" library -> Click on "New Folder" under "File" tab.
    when click on New Folder link, it shows home page in dialog box instead of new folder name popup.
    This is only happening for "Mobile" named sub-site under "/sites" managed path. Please try from your side and let me know.
    May I know what the issue is? Please clarify.

    1) When ever I have a message notification (be it missed call one or an sms alert),
    it becomes difficult navigating in the "Messages" box : the reason is it opens
    always in the last place where I left it. So I have to press Menu & then scroll down
    to "View Folder" (pressing "v" also helps) & then it says "Select Folder".
    Not, when you have a new message and you go to the message folder you can see the last place where you left, but if you press T (top) you can see the new messages. (always the new messages are in the top and you can't change this) 
    2) How to change the HOME PAGE of the Browser.
    Go to the browser, one you are in press menu, options, browser configuration, and you can change the home page on bottom.
    3) to extend the battery life, I read that all applications should be closed using the
    "Close" option in its Menu. To see which all applications are currently running, one
    should check on "Switch Application" - if you see application their, then it is open.
     The problem I am having is some applications (appearing in S/A mode) I was able
    to close (eg games etc), but some are not getting closed eg :messages, browser,
    bb messenger.

    when I click in mac mail, it replaces a website in a current tab. I want a link to open in a brand new tab of its own.

    sorry, that doesn't work. In mac mail when I control-clicked (mac version of right click) the only option was open link -- and it replaced the awesome pandora tune i was listening to with this page.
    Chrome automatically opens a new tab, I'm hoping for similar behavior from firefox.

    Do I make all the files sharable to all the NOW users on the mac then just delete the files? Or can i erase my account that I made when starting up my new mac and then just use the one with the transferred files?
    I just dont want to have to og in and out of 2 different accounts .. Help please.

    Sorry. /Users is a folder path. It would be similar to C:\Users (if that exists on Windows).
    So, in the Finder, select Computer from the Go menu.
    You'll see Macintosh HD, double-click that to open it.
    In there you'll see several folders. One is Users. That is where all the user Home folders exist. Select the other account's home folder and go to step 3.
    If you have any more confusion, please stop and ask. We'll get there.
    If you feel more comfortable, you can just log into that other account and move the files into /Users/Shared.
    Then, log into the account you wish to use and copy the files from the Shared folder and paste them into your Home folder, wherever they belong, Documents, Music, Pictures, etc.  That just takes a little more work. Transferring them into Shared, and then copying into your home sets the permissions on the files so that you won't have a problem accessing them later. The steps I provided just prevent you from having to do the double move, since you are not going to use the old account once you are done.
    Quick unix shorthand. If someone gives you a file path that begins with a /, that means the root of the hard drive, ie Macintosh HD (if you haven't renamed it). The path separator in unix is /, not \.
    A path that starts with ~/ means your Home folder, the one inside /Users named with your account name.

    Yes, you can have single sign on enabled on multiple essbase servers,
    It works like using single userid and password across mulple servers. you can configure essbase server to read from active directory.

    Greetings Experts,
    we have users who want a report similar to FBl1N, but instead displaying the line level detail.
    For Example:
    User wants to see information for Vendor X.  Wants the output not to be the 31 & 21 posting keys, but rather all the 40 and 50 posting keys for these documents.  Is there an existing report which will show me this?
    What the user really wants is to start with a Vendor, Company Code, As of Dates and see all the accounting document details, all the way down to the delivery details in a tabular format.  Does SAP provide anything like this without any drilldowns, or am I gonna have to code this thing from scratch?

    No, not in a standard report, especially at the level of detail you're looking for.  It's a typical auditor request to see the 'other-side' G/L items but you won't find it in a standard menu report and certainly not with the delivery detail.

    I sugggest you try my application, Dates to iCal. It is shareware with a 2 week trial period.
    Dates to iCal 2 is a replacement for Apple's birthday calendar for iCal. It has a range of features to allow the user to choose what, and what not, to sync to iCal from Address Book.
    As well as automatically syncing birthday dates from Address Book, Dates to iCal 2 can sync anniversary and custom dates. It can set up to five alarms for each date in iCal and can also set different alarms for birthdays and anniversaries. It allows the option of only syncing from one Address Book group. This application also allows for the titles of the events sent to iCal to be modified to the user's preference.

    Two of my PM's are getting the error shown in the title of this post  (Error: One or more categories of approval could not be loaded when user wants to approve).    The "Related Topic" issues a work around of using the rules to "automatically approve the
    offending items".   This did not work for us.   Has anyone else experienced this issue?

    The PM does the following:
    1. Access PWA Home page and review messages
    2. Clicks on “You have 1 timesheet from resources pending your approval” message
    3. Approval Center Page loaded with “Error: One or more categories of approval could not be loaded” and “There are no new approvals to review at this time. If you have published your plan and
    still do not see approvals, have your resources submit updates from “Tasks” of “Timesheet”” messages.
    We've made certain the Schedule is published and the timesheet was submitted correctly.
    Expected behavior: Timesheet records should be available for review and approval.   Instead, the PM gets the screen below with the error message

    2. In each TAB , add ViewContainer . ViewContainer you would be able to add inside tab.
    3. Now create as many views as you have created Tabs.
    4. Embed views into the corresponding ViewContainers , in ur first view embed link to URL

  • MAM Client - Only User View Manager Link Visible

    I have followed the configuration steps as mentioned in the configuration guide for MAM2.5 SR2.
    but after deploying the application in mobile device, Only the User View Manager Link is visible to me.
    Details about client and server version is as follows
    1. MI client 2.5 SP11
    2. WebAS Server 6.40 SP09
    3. Backend IDES server
    Only thing which I am not sure is whether the plugin
    <b>R/3 Plug-in 2004.1 SP01 for Mobile Asset Management 2.5</b> is added in the Backend or not.
    <b>Is there any way to check whether the Plugin is added or not?
    Also Could this be a problem why we are not able to see other menu specific to MAM?</b>

    WAS sp 09 and  client sp 11.
         not sure , whether  sp11 client can successfully sync with sp09 WAS.
      it might be one of the reasons?.
    have u changed ur application ?.  or using the standard application?.(i mean added syncbo's or not).
        just check the meRepMeta.xml file , is there any reference to MAM25_090 (item).?
       just change the trace to Information and after sync,
    just look whether there is any MAM25_090 reference in the log.

  • Standard SAP is showing up just only 4 fields, our users want more, can we achieve it?

    In our webdyn pro component we used KUNNR as data type for CUSTOMER_NUMB attribute of KNA1 context node, hence we are seeing the below Search help, well, but SAP is displaying only 4 fields by DEFAULT on the dialog box, we want to have more, for example, 10 fields should show up by default in search help dialog box, pls. let us know how can we increase the # of fields on a search help on a custom webdyn pro?
    We are aware of that by clicking the + plus symbol we can add the 5 field, well, but its just one time, I mean, we want to save this w/ 5th field, as a user specific layout (just like ALV layout) for this search help for that user so that user every time need not to add the 5th field explicitly by clicking the + plus symbol
    Pls. help us either letting us know how to over ride the default 4 fields availability/show up on a search help dialog box or saving a user specific layout setting for ever, wherein user want max. # of fields showing up on search help dialog box?
    Actually, you know this is bcz of new theme of CORBU, previously we were on w/ TRADE_SHOW theme and this trade show is very good bcz it shows all the fields on the search help dialog box, as below, hence users used to it and users want the same/max # of fields show up

    2) If so, how do you know GL11 will fix it?
    3) how do you know we are having GL20 in place, bcz in the below sap help link sap said GL11 is the default?
    4) In which component SAP hard coded as 4?
    5) Pls. let us know what are other params we need to check/test for our custom app?
