Integrating PHP into WAS

I had someone ask me the question about integrating PHP into WAS in order to embed PHP tags into a BSP page for example.
Now I personally don't see a lot of need for this but I wanted to see what everyone else thought.

Hi,
My initial thought would be typical stuff like:
- regex, but that should be solved in WebAs 7
- ascii code manipulation, like mentioned in /people/eddy.declercq/blog/2005/10/28/secretum-secretorum, but Christian Hansen mentioned that cl_abap_conv_in_ce=>uccpi( i ) will do the trick
So what's left?
- arrays, gosh I miss that a lot.
- proper file manipulation; when I need something, I always got to the OS
- real functions, FMs and (PER)FORMs are not as functional, certainly not when it comes to varibale scopes, etc
- graphics and simular stuff. It would be much easier if I could generate captchas (see also /people/eddy.declercq/blog/2005/09/13/die-mensch-maschine) directly in BSPs.

    I use Windows 2000 and JDeveloper 11.1.2.0
    Edited by: user11104528 on 07.04.2010 3:44

    Windows 2000 is not one of the certified OS (look here http://www.oracle.com/technology/products/jdev/collateral/papers/11/certification/index.html).
    Seams there is a problem with the quite long pathnames and the length of the command line resulting from them.
    You can try to shorten the path i.e. using a subst and set the product home to it.

  • How to get DEV Integration Server into Prod SLD?

    Hello,
    in a two-tier landscape I need to define transport targets in SLD. Both PI syetems have their own SLD. In each SLD there is just the Integration server of the corresponding PI system. How to get the DEV Integration Server into PROD sld? Manually?
    Thanks,
    CHRISTOPH

    Hello Seshagiri,
    that is what I wanted to know. So there seem to be two possibilities:
    - Creating the DEV Integration Server in productive SLD manually
    - Exporting the DEV Integration Server from DEV SLD and import it into productive SLD.
    I tried importing / exporting SLD content some time ago. AFAIK there is no exporting single technical / business systems, you can just export all the content together from a SLD?
    Thanks,
    Christoph

  • Organizing integration projects into SWCV/Namespaces for CMS

    Hi,
    I have a question regarding how to organize different integration projects into SWCV/namespaces in order to be able to send the different projects into production using CMS independently.
    We are using XI for all data from/to our SAP system landscape, and using BizTalk (BZ) for integration scenarios between the different system landscapes in our company.
    Basically, we thought we could organize the different integration projects between XI and BZ using just one SWCV where each project has it own namespace;
    BIZTALK
      <namespace for project 1>
      <namespace for project 2>
      <namespace for project n>
    But when using the CMS for transport, we cannot separate which transport to assemble when they are related to the same SWCV. Thus, 2 different projects with BZ interface and several transports to Consolidation, they will all be assembled even if just one of the projects is supposed to be transported to production.
    Can someone verify this?
    Seems to me that we must reorganize and create a BZ SWCV for each project?
    BIZTALK_PRJ1
      <namespace for project 1>
    BIZTALK_PRJ2
      <namespace for project 2>
    This will give us a lot of different SWCVs for one system, and the same is valid for all our different SAP systems…
    Best regards
    Torstein

    Thank you again, but I think I have to rephrase my question;
    We are using the CMS option for transporting objects between Dev, Qual and Prod.
    Introduction; you have a SWCV with 2 different namespaces for 2 different interfaces/projects. It is easy to transport to Consolidation, but all imported transports are automatically placed into the Assembly Queue (transports are assembled into a service pack before approval and import to production).
    At the Assembly stage, you can only select transports based on SWCV, you cannot select which transport to use, but all transports related to one SWCV will automatically be assembled.
    Thus, if 2 different projects, separated into two namespaces in one SWCV, have transports to Consolidation, all the transports will be assembled.
    If using File transports this is not a problem, but the it seems to me that it should be possible to separate which transports to select for assemble based on SWCV AND namespace.
    Comments?

  • Reg SAP Integrated ITS in WAS

    Hi all,
       If i want to use Integrated ITS in WAS for external SAP Sytem, Do i need to install ABAP stack also???.
    Regards
    Vasu

    Hello Vasudevan,
    I am not sure if I understand you correctly, but if you are trying to connect the internal ITS from system, say, P01 to connect so system P02, that will not be possible. If that is not what you trying to do, kindly explain what you mean by "external SAP system".

    Hi,
    You may want to use RFC for the same.

  • Deploy EAR file into WAS using command line

    hi,
       I have an EAR file and i want to deploy it into WAS using command line interface.
      I have seen the SDM_commandline.doc file in SDM directory ..it talks about deploying SDA's and SCA's :-
    >   sdm deploy file=<...>
    however it is not working for EAR files...is there any way to deploy EAR files directly or should I convert the EAR to SDA and then deploy using this command.
    thanks

    For NW Java releases prior to 7.1, an EAR file needs to be transformed into a SDA file, then it can be deployed. For later releases, an EAR file can be directly deployed.

  • Integrating php page into HTML page

    Hello,
    I am rebuilding a website for a car club as a favor.
    Completely pro bona. They have a phpbb forum, and they feel that
    the reason for their demise as a club has been just that...the
    forum. Their website became just another forum. My job is to make
    the site more interactive and give their members more incentive to
    visit the site more frequently, as well as make the site self
    sufficient (that is, not requiring a yearly donation from members
    to make ends meet). I want to integrate the forum into the rest of
    the site. I noticed that the forum uses a MySQL database. I want to
    use that database as a reference for login to other parts of the
    site. The site as it is right now is
    www.negmsc.com/index_template.html .
    When you click on forum, I want it to open the forum in that
    same window while leaving the sidebar on the right and left side's
    in tact, without using frames. How is this done?

    phpBB 2 is a little more difficult, but it shouldn't be too
    bad. Just open the overall_header and overall_footer files from the
    Templates/SubSilver (the default template) folder. You will need to
    use DW to edit these files and they won't appear as normally
    formatted html files so you won't see any colors on your tags. Just
    make sure the tags in the header match the footer.
    You may also want to let your party know that phpBB version 3
    is a major step up, and easier to maintain with a nicer admin
    interface. Although it is a beta right now it should be a final
    release by year's end or early January seeing the current
    development and they may want to consider upgrading at that
    time.

  • Integrating SAP into a Systems Analysis course

    Hi,
    I am part of a group putting together a proposal to integrate SAP into our business school courses and join the UA.  The faculty do not have any training in SAP, but we are looking to find out as much as we can about possible course modules for our proposal.
    I was wondering if anyone had suggestions or Best Practices for integrating into SAP into a Systems Analysis course for MIS students (not Computer science students)?  For our proposal we are are looking to develop a timeline for different levels of integration at the first, third and fifth year of our SAP use.  What would be the best materials to integrate into a 15 week semester undergrade course where the emphasis is on the system development lifecyle up to, but not including hands-on system design?
    From scanning the overviews of library materials, it looks as though the following might be possibilities (although as a guest I don't have access to the full materials):
    Using Solution Manager (for the project mgt component of the course)
    Business Process Integration Overview
    Concepts in ERP using Fitter Snacker
    ERP simulation game
    Netweaver workflow exercises
    Any feedback and tips for a starting point would be appreciated.
    Priscilla
    Assistant Profesor of MIS

    Priscilla,
    I have used every one of the resources that you list in your post.  I've used all but Solution Manager in my classes.  I can't say that I see how any of them relate the SDLC.  As noted, ASAP would be relevant, but for an introductory level course (where students have no knowledge of SAP), I don't think that it is something I would recommend.
    I've been trying to come up with something that would fit with covering the SDLC specifically, and I've not had much success.  One could perhaps do some things with Visual Composer that would illustrate some of the stages of development, but the existing resources aren't really oriented towards that narative.  I'll be interested to see if anyone else posts here with ideas.
    One of the resources you've listed in your postERPsimhas nothing at all to do with development, but if you are looking at integrating SAP as a new resource into business-oriented classes, it is well worth investigating.  I'm not sure how it might match up with your needs, but it is a very excellent vehicle for introducing ERP concepts to students in a very meaningful and interesting way.
    I wish you well in your exploration of resources.  As I can answer other questions, I'm happy to.  I'm sure others around here may do so as well.
