Integrating webcenter content with soa webservice

Hi All,
We have been working on Oracle Content Server for the past one year. Currently we have a requirement that we need to integrate webcent content workflows with oracle BPM worklist using webservice Definition Language(WSDL) url. (i.e.) whenever a workflow is triggered, we need to get a corresponding worklist item on bpm worklist without an email getting triggered for the corresponding approvers/reviewers.
Kindly suggest a suitable method to implement the above strategy. Thanks in advance.
Thanks

Hi James,
I have had huge problems applying SOA bundled patches using the Readme.txt files. Mainly as they are supposed to be roll-up patches but some earlier ones state that they need to be applied to WC1 as well as SOA1 but not the later patches. What I do now is apply them to SOA1, WC1, ECM1 and oracle_common at the same time. I am only using a pre-built VM but it seems to solve various issues I have had.
Also recently I had problems with Attachments in Human Tasks so I applied patch p19546426_111176_Generic... I installed into SOA1, oracle_common, ECM1, WC1 (not just SOA1 like the Readme.txt says) and then they started working. This was after many failed attempts following the Readme.txt...
Hope this helps

  • Integrating WebCenter Content with BPM

To integrate UCM and BPM, I followed this tutorial written by J@n van Zoggel.
At the moment, I've already set up everything exactly as instructed in the tutorial. However, when I viewed a task in BPM Workspace, I still cannot view the Attachment section. In the log, I saw the following error:
Ensure that credential store map WF-ADMIN-USER with key WF-ADMIN-CREDENTIAL
contains UCM server admin username/password. Also ensure that Workflow configuration parameter
UcmIdcUrl contains IDC socket connection url to connect to UCM server and UCM server has permission
to let SOA server connect to it using IDC protocol.
    access denied ("oracle.security.jps.service.credstore.CredentialAccessPermission" "context=SYSTEM,mapName=WF-ADMIN-USER,keyName=WF-ADMIN-CREDENTIAL" "read")]]
One thing I'd like to ask is that in all tutorials or articles I've read, the authors are always testing in the environment in which both the UCM and BPM servers are on the same machine. In my case, I am trying to connect my local BPM server with the online WebCenter Content server of my company, I wonder if I have to make any additional settings for this to work. A few pictures of my current settings are shown below.
I'd be very grateful if you could share with me your experience in integrating BPM and UCM.

  • Integrating webcenter spaces with Micosoft Client SSO

    Hi All,
I have configured the webcenter to use an external Identity store (In my case an Active Directory). I followed the documentation as mentioned in : http://download.oracle.com/docs/cd/E12839_01/webcenter.1111/e12405/wcadm_security.htm#BGBHHGEH and I am now able to login to the webcenter using the username / password from the Active Directory.
Now, I am trying to integrate a Seamless Microsoft Client SSO for the same. I followed the documentation http://download.oracle.com/docs/cd/E12839_01/webcenter.1111/e12405/wcadm_security.htm#BGBCFDJI and created a "NegotiateIdentityAsserter" and made this asserter as the highest in the order. my providers are now int he following order:
    1. NegotiateIDAsserter
    2. ADProvider (SUFFICIENT) : This is my AD Authenticator provider
    3. DefaultAuthenticator (SUFFICIENT)
    4. DefaultIdentityAsserter
I have now configured such that the Public user does not have 'view' access as per the above document as well.
Now, when i try to hit http://<machinename>:8888/webcenter , I still get the Login page (not the same as the one where I have public user view enabled though). But seamless authentication is not happening. In the debug log file, i see the following:
    [2009-12-09T17:42:12.511+05:30] [WLS_Spaces] [NOTIFICATION] [] [oracle.webcenter.webcenterapp.internal.view.webapp] [tid: [ACTIVE].ExecuteThread: '0' for queue: 'weblogic.kernel.Default (self-tuning)'] [userId: anonymous] [ecid: 0000ILnMct63V8JpQkx0id1B7si000000Q,0] [APP: webcenter] Request-response cycle complete for Spaces request #Request URL =
From the Login page, if i provide the username and password of the Active directory user, I am able to login. Can anyone please suggest what could be wrong here?
    Thanks,
    Diwakar

    Objective:
    =========
My customer is using Webcenter 11.1.1.2.0 and they are primarily using Discussions and wiki .I would like to integrate OAM with Webcenter for providing SSO.
    Steps Followed:
    ============
I have followed the steps mentioned in the section 23.7.1 and 23.7.1.7 in the doc
    http://download.oracle.com/docs/cd/E15523_01/webcenter.1111/e12405/wcadm_security.htm#BGBCEHGE

    ===========================
1.Accessed the dicussions url through OHS proxy http://<ohs_host>:<ohs_proxy>/owc_discussions
    2.Click on Login button
    3.OAM Login page appears
4.Provide credentials for orcladmin (admin user of OAM OID LDAP)
5.Discussions default login screen appears ( I dont expect this default login page,as I have already authenticated with OAM)
    6.Provide orcladmin credentials
7.Login screen is keep on popping and not able to login
if i set owc_discussions.sso.mode=false,then looping (Step 7) is not occuring and could able to login.
Am I doing anything wrong here? Or is there a way I can make it work.

  • Issues integrating WebCenter with Oracle Access Manager

    Hi All,
I am trying to integrate WebCenter 10.1.3.2 with Oracle Access Manager (CoreId). Followed the steps described in the Chapter 11 of the OC4J Security Guide.
I was able to successfully authenticate WebCenter using IWA with Access Manager.
Then I proceeded with the below steps:
    - Implemented ADF Security in the application. Created application roles and login page and worked fine on my local machine.
    - Provide the auth-method of "COREIDSSO" in orion-application.xml
    - Renamed the app-jazn-data.xml to give the OID groups
    - Mapped the OID groups to application roles in orion-application.xml
    - Used the jazn migration tool to populate the system-jazn-data.xml
When trying to access the application, it looks like the ADF Context identifies that this is an authenticated user.
    ADFContext.getCurrent().getSecurityContext().isAuthenticated() retruns true
    ADFContext.getCurrent().getSecurityContext().isAuthorizationEnabled() returns true
I get the below error message on the server console:
[CoreIDLoginModule::getUserSessionFromCookie]: This user session for F3iwZhUGgjej9RSrMLSo0wjH5Ec6c2oeC0OBRH12y7%2FvfPVncz6dYoBoFD6q8DWAlMtzah%2FYV4T1t7jztVFYbxwfOyu0VOMXMEIosRrFicfJwoPRrM8MOkFsziQxpUqo98XrC9iBRHffdWSItNHZRZK4ZoCJMi6HZZ6noOc4Z%2BGJDGj3kWndYHTWjiG0cJhkSbL95wMmrXCDElzZHjPMdkuNQUHW1TfAJvgSlDeX6hhhIThlc%2BGmxMP3MQ%2FZoxUysbKieIJgDXo1%2FEMmLmTVjA%3D%3D is not valid or user is not logged in.
I also tried using the "Headervar" variable to display the obmygroups value, but it comes as blank.
    Any help would be appreciated.
    Thanks

We recently integrated Webcenter Application (with ADF Authentication and Authorization) with OAM. May be the following will be of some help to you.
We did the following steps documented in Chapter 11 Oracle Access Manager in Oracle J2EE security guide.
    OAM
    1. Created ALL specified policies , authentication schemes, protection specified in OAM section of the document.
    OC4J
    1. Ran all configuration listed for the OC4J section.
    Webcenter
    1. Developed the Webcenter Application
    2. Enabled ADF Security (Authentication & Authorization)
    3. Deployed the application. While deploying chose File based provider.
    4. After the deployment, changed orion-application.xml to have COREIDSSO as documented in Oracle documentation
    system-jazn-data.xml
    1. Added login module details as specified in the document. (Changed only the application name. Rest all was same as we used names as specified in the earlier steps of the document)
    OID Migration
Reference document: "Configuring a WebCenter Application to Use Oracle Access Manager" in Webcenter Framework Developer guide.
    1. Located app-jazn-data.xml in the deployed application
    2. Removed "realm-name" and "type" subelements of "grantee" tags. Removed any realm details in user name.
    3. changed references to "class oracle.security.jazn.spi.xml.XMLRealmRole" to "oracle.security.jazn.realm.CoreIDPrincipal"
    4. ran the JAZN migration tool with "all" options. Migration from app-jazn-data.xml to OID.
    OAM
Created policies for protecting our application.
    Test the application.
    Debugging.
    1. Enable oracle.adf.share.security , oracle.j2ee.security & oracle.j2ee.security.oc4j loggers to debug if the application is not working the way you expect to work.
    2. Set log level in Enterprise manager.
    3. All logging information are written in log.xml in $ORACLE_HOME/j2ee/OC4J_Webcenter/log/OC4J_WebCenter_default_group_1/oc4j
    Thanks

  • How to integrate Webcenter content to HRMS

  • Webcenter Content and OSB

    Hi,
Can anyone let me know how we can integrate the Webcenter content with OSB. We want to create users but through OSB. Do Webcenter provide any Web service?
    Thanks in advance.

    a) WebCenter Content has its standard services - see http://docs.oracle.com/cd/E23943_01/doc.1111/e11011/toc.htm
    b) the most common services are exposed in WSDL as Web Services - see http://docs.oracle.com/cd/E23943_01/doc.1111/e10807/c25_wsdl_and_soap.htm#BEHDIABD
    c) for the remainder (even for your own custom services) you may use WSDL Generator to expose them
    d) since the version 11g, WCC does not hold its own identity pool, but rather takes it from one used by the Weblogic domain (usually, an external LDAP), so if you are interested in creation of users you might want to integrate with this LDAP, rather than with WCC

  • Opening the weblocation url of a content with servlet

    Hi All,
I tried opening the weblocation url of a webcenter content with a servlet using URL class, but i am getting Gateway timeout(504). But with other urls, the servlet is working fine.
i.e. if i use datacontrol for fetching the content from ucm and if i open the document with the same servlet passing filename and corresponding url as parameters it is opening fine, but if i use RIDC api to get the url and passing the parameters to servlet, the servlet is not working fine
May i know how to open the weblocation url of an ucm content with open/save dialog?
    Thanks
    S. Muthukumaran

Can you describe what you are trying to achieve? (in plain, not technical language) There might be other means to do the same.
My guess is that it is more a timeout issue - see http://www.checkupdown.com/status/E504.html , but I'm really just guessing.
This server did not receive a timely response from an upstream server it accessed to deal with your HTTP request.

I don't believe that noone has ever tried to connect the local BPM environment to a remote WCC server before. Please let me know if you've ever experienced the same problem. Otherwise, even a simple "I tried to do the samething and I succeeded using the same steps in the tutorial" would help too .
Another thing is that yesterday, I talked to the tech-lead and I learned that our WCC server environment doesn't have BPM installed yet. I am wondering if this would cause the WCC server to not understand the request from my BPM server. In addtion, I've also upgraded my local BPM server using the lastest SOA bundled patch. Should the same patch be applied to the WCC server environment too?
I'd be very grateful for any advice .

  • Webcenter Content integration with 11i iStore

    Hi,
Does the Webcenter content management integrate with 11i iStore module?
Can anyone point me to some documents explaining the same?
    Regards

    Hi Ravinder ,
Use the following url to get configdefault.xml file :
    http://hostname:<port no>/<httpwebrelativeroot>/idcplg?IdcService=SES_CRAWLER_DOWNLOAD_CONFIG&source=<name of source for SES>
Save the file to a local location and then move it to the SES Feed location .
Then do the crawling for Contents from UCM , then schedule run from SES and the UCM contents will be searchable from SES end .

  • How to integrate to WebCenter Content using WebServices

    Hi all,
I have only been exposed to WebCenter Content for a little while and would like to Integrate with it using WebServives - From what I understand is that if you use webservices (WSDL) there are some configuration that needs to happen on the WC Content side and mostly around security. At the moment I'm just testing the services our from SOAP_UI  - Ive used this link http://hostname:16200/cs/idcplg??wsdl
I've tried viewing the WSDl in a browser but nothing displays... Can someone guide and help me on this?
    Thanks

    Hi,
You can look up the following articles on MoS portal which gives details / examples and set up steps for working with Webservices :

  • OCR with WebCenter Content and Imaging

    Hi,
I'm searching for some information about OCR with webcenter content and imaging.
I've seen that there are two solutions :
    - WebCenter Capture
    - Webcenter Forms Recognition
But I can't find if any of that product use lexical post-correction of OCR results. Is anyone have this information?
    Thanks,
    David

    David:
Both products will use print (vs handwritten) character recognition to identify "tokens" from the image of a document with text. Capture usage focuses mainly on zonal recognition of information - what I would call structured forms processing. Forms Recognition is for information capture from semi-structured documents - say invoices, where you know that many fields are present, but their location differs from example to example. It can use patterns, text locators, etc to find the field. Both benenfit when there exists a reference DB of acceptable values, but that is not a requirement.
Lexical correction (as I understand it to mean) is not a feature of either. They are not going to try to validate extracted tokens based upon language analysis. I would try to use them to extract all of the tokens and then add some tool to do lexical analysis. You could do that as a separate, post OCR process, or try to see if you can fit it into an FR post-extraction EP.
Might I ask what the business problem you are trying to solve is?

  • How can scan directly with webcenter content

how can directly scan with webcenter content without other software for scanner
    tnx

    Hi,
If you are referring to not using ODC/ODDC kind of software which has drivers to connect to Webcenter Content then following is what I can think of:
    1. Have your scanner drop the scanned images to a shared folder
    2. Have a standalone Java program to checkin the scanned images to Webcenter Content using RIDC API calls
    3. Access what set of metadata you want to set on the content, advice you set most of the general metadata on the folder so the content inherits them
    4. If the metadata is available in a database then you could use the Java program to look up to this DB for metadata which performing the checkin

    Dear all.
I am using oracle webcenter content 11.1.1.6.
When i configure IBR single with single webcenter content   it working but  error with webcenter content cluster.
It still generate image but link access image not found and nolog.  I don't known why.
    Thanks all.

    There's 1209496.1 from a few weeks ago.
also edited a few weeks ago: 1150893.1
There are a few others from last year, but these were the two that were at the top of the search. Perhaps it's a difference of the word 'cluster'. I use it primarily as the WLS group of managed servers. The IBR instances are not sharing resources or sharing queues of work, but they are configured in WLS as a set of clustered managed servers.
    some repeated notes:
"IBR can not be active on more than one Managed Server cluster node at any time unless the following three (3) conditions are ALL meet.
The IBR instances are running on separate machines
The IBR instances do not share a file system
The IBR instances do not share a JVM or anything at all"
"All Inbound Refinery instances are completely independent. You can assign Inbound Refinery to a server group in WebLogic as a cluster, but it does not run as a cluster because each Inbound Refinery Managed Server runs independently.  If you do create a cluster in WebLogic for the refineries, the cluster is used for management purposes only.  If you are to "cluster" the refinery by putting two or more refinery managed servers in a cluster for them that you've created in a WebLogic domain, then the following three things must be true so that nothing is shared between the refineries.
The Refinery instances are running on separate physical machines
The Refinery instances do not share a file system, or any IBR configuration at all
The Refinery instances do not share the same JVM or anything at all
If the above three things are not true, you will encounter errors further down the line."
If you're going to update docs, there are at least a handful others that are specific to this case.
