  • BPC NW Inter Company Elimination

    Dear Experts,
    1) Can Experts tell me About All Steps Involved in Inter Co. Elimination in BPC NW .
    2) Is it Possible to configure and get Results of Inter CO. Elimination with out Inter Booking Matching?
    Thanks in Advance
    Ritesh

    Hello Ritesh,
    1) You will need to have the following setup (high level)
    - Create a Legal, Ownership and Rate applications (there is a How-To Guide in the "EPM How to Guide" on the wiki that exlpains how to setup a consolidation environment
    - Setup currency translation (another HTG available for that) and enter fx rates into the "Rate" application
    - Setup "Automatic Adjustment" Business Rules with your eliminations
    - Enter "Ownership" data to define consolidation method and percentages
Then you can enter data and run the eliminations
    2) Yes, the matching and elimination process are independent
    Hope this helps,
    Rgds,

  • Inter company elimination question

I have a requirement to eliminate intercompany expense and revenue.
The intercompany revenue accounted by one company is accounted by another company as capitalzed expense( it is accounted as expense and subsequently capitized)
How do we eliminate the these from both the company’s?
If it is one sided elimination it will not square up at group consolidation..

Eliminations entries, like all entries, must balance. Therefore when the revenue is eliminated for one company the same value should be eliminated from the buying company. If the Buying company expenses this, then a simple validation should fit. However if the value is capitalized to be included in an asset, then what Eugene suggested initially is correct.

  • Inter Company Eliminations

We have to store ICP details but eliminations should not happen during consolidation.
    Kindly help

If you are using a default consolidation rule then don't specify the plug account while setting an ICP account.
No ICP eliminations will happen during consolidation.
    Hope this helps

  • Inter-Company Matching

    Dear Experts,
I want to know, WHat is the use of Inter Company Matching?
How is it different from Inter Co. Elimination?
Any Example where we can use inter Co Matching with its implecation.?
    Thanks
    Ritesh

    Hi Ritesh,
The Inter-Company matching and reconciliation process provides the users with the ability to analyze reported Inter-Company balances in advance of actually running the consolidation and posting of inter-unit eliminations. The inter-company matching process support the identification, follow-up and potential resolution of Inter-Company out of balance situations prior to the actual posting of the inter-company eliminations. The result will be more accurate consolidated financial results.
Here is the link for the How to Set-Up Intercompany Matching -http://www.sdn.sap.com/irj/scn/go/portal/prtroot/docs/library/uuid/e081e99f-87b1-2b10-448a-a31b1c7a91e8

  • Sales & Operations Planning for Inter-company .

    Hi
We have scenario like this :  A will  do the  fore-cast , But A is not producing .
A wants to transfer the Forecast to B. B will produce and it owns the Inventory.
Once A get the Sales order , A will send the Inter-company sales process to B.
B will relive off the inventory and get paid by A.
How to transfer the SOP via demand management for Inter-company . How to consume  the inter-company sales through demand management for Company B .
Any input will be highly appreciated.
    Thanks
    Jeevan

    Dear
    As i understood
A create a SOP and tranfer to DM, it will get netted off by sales order created in A. Since A is not producing material, system will create a intercompany PO/PR to get the material from B.
B say getting SOP data from A and tranfer it to DM. Run MRP/produce and satisfy the request of A.
Now your question is how to transfer this SOP plan to B from A.
    it is simple
When you run MRP in A, if you have assigned a special procurement key in material master, in plant A, system will automatically create a intercompany PR to B.
Hence you will get the plan in B as per the given date and qty.
I hope you got the point...pl come back if required

  • Data Upload for Inter company transaction

    Dear All,
While entering the data for Elimination we require the trading partner (Inter company) to be mentioned with the respective GL's. We use ECC 4.7 and Tally (for non SAP) companies, so it is not possible to extract the Trial balances with the Into Entities mentioned for GL's to be eliminated.
    Our Approach
We plan to use the input layout for capturing the Intco Transactions for all (SAP & Non SAP entities), however it would double the figures in GL's if we follow this.
Example . Receivable  - 100 -- uploaded from TB ,  --- This would go on Non - Intco.
    for the same, the client would enter in input layout as Receivable  -- Intco_A - 50, Receivable  -- Intco_B - 30, .
This would double the figure as
    Receivable -- 180
Please advice, how to acheive this.
    Regards,
    Sanjay

    Hi Sanjay
As u mentioned the users inputs value to break non interco data to respective intco's
why not use the journal templates instead of input templates
in journal templates you can zero the value of non interco and post it in the respectives interco
    example:
non interco accounts payable = 100
    in the journal template
    you can enter this
    accounts payable non intco            100
    accounts payable intco A                     50
    accounts payable intco B                     50
    Hopes this helps

  • Cost of Goods Sold account determination by customer type (inter-company)

We have a business need to separate the the cost of goods sold be customer type.  Specifically separating the inter-company cost of goods sold from the 3rd party cost of goods sold.
The standard COGS account determination in GBB/VAX only allows for differentiating between material valuation class.
Has anyone attempted this before and what method worked?

For those who may need an answer to this, our solution was the following:
    1)       Created new types for SO, SO Item, Sched. Line, Delivery, Delivery Item, Billing type
    2)       Created new Pricing procedure
    3)       Created new movement type Y61/Y62 modeled after 601/602
    4)       Mapped Y61/Y62 to account modifier ZAX.
    5)       Mapped GBB/ZAX to the new account.
Benefits, they now have better view of the orders going inter-company.  It is flexible enough to adjusting prices for intercompany separate from standard orders, even though for now it is a straight copy of cost.  They are able to remove the sales/use tax, from the calculations. They are able to plan with these orders separated out.  Plus, this will standardize their process for inter-company.
    Hope this helps someone.
    Cheers!
    Rick

  • Setting mail notifications in Hyperion Planning 9.3.1

I have tried setting up the email notifications in Hyperion Planning 9.3.1 version
There are 3 settings that needs to be changed:
    1) Advanced Settings in Hyperion Planning
    2) Notifications in Hyperion Workspace
    3) Set provisions in Hyperion Shared Services
Also our company mail server is set on googlemail so the standard SMTP server used for outlook confirguration is smtp.gmail.com
    The problem I'm facing is:
    1) During send test mail at notifications in hyperion workspace it is not showing any result as there is an error at "Send Test Mail to"
    2) Also does googlemail work as a mail server since smtp.gmail.com acts as the mail server for our company?
    3) The default port number used for SMTP is 25 but in our case it is 995. Where is the provision for changing the port number in Hyperion Planning System?
    Thanks in advance

  • SAP standard report to show Inter Company transactions

Basically, we have two companies that are buying and selling between each other. One of the companies is a subsidery of the other. So, the parent(x) can sell or buy from it's sub(Y) and visa versa. At the end of the period, we need to consolidate both companies for reporting purposes, therefore there will be elimination entries which should be identified.
I need an SAP standard report to show these transactions which might still be sitting on each other books unsold

    Dear :
We are using ECC 6 SAP version and we have the t code FBU3  for displaying all inter company transactions. Have you done necessary configuration in OBYF. You can display all related inter company transactions through FBU3.
Your 2nd query corresponds to same credit control area that was assigned to two company codes. In order extend credit limit for a customer who is extended on two company codes which have same credit area. It is not possible you distinguish credit limit for a customer who is extended on two company codes having same credit control areas. CCA is defined at organization structure level and for the distinction you will have to define new credit control area in customization at
    enterprise level i-e
Enterprise Structure.... Definition.... Financial accounting....define credit control area
Assignment.....Assign credit control area to co code
Do necessary customization for SD module
and then in credit management for AR you will have to assign the credit control area to company codes i-e
Account Recv/A/c Payable.....Credit Management.... Assign permitted CCA to Co code
. This is the only way to to segregate customer credit limit for two company codes. Please revert in case of any confusion.

  • Hyperion Planning Last Login Date

    Hello Everyone,
I have a requirement where in I need to track the usage of the Hyperion Planning application. I need to build a list of inactive or dormant users and clean them up from the application.
In order for me to achieve this, I need the Last Login date into the Hyperion Planning application.
I read about something called Usage Tracking that needed to be turned on. A records gets added into the hsp_audit_records table.
Can someone throw some more light on this ? My requirement is to track the planning apps usage and clean up inactive users.
    Thanks
    RS

    Hi,
we have the same issue: some new users every week and a lot of users not using planning anymore- depending on their always changing role in the company.
only helpful logfile we use to identify inactive/old users is: hbrlaunch.log - it logs the username and the businessrules, they execute.
maybe you regard this approach as a helpful workaround (provided your users run businessrules at all)
users, who run only financial reporting or who open only planning forms to passively review budgets (we have that a lot) , we would delete accidentially by this approach, because if you never save data, you never execute a businessrule attached to a webform.
    but what about following approach:
you create a very small webform called "Confirm my user access", add a very small businessrule named "Confirm user access", which calculates almost nothing and you attach the rule to the form, give access to all users AND use option: "run on load"
by this, the rule get's executed on opening the webform already - you could even show a member in the webform with name "Thanks for confirming your user account - it will remain active"
Only disadvantage: you need to write a mail to all users and explicitly ask them to open that webform and confirm the user access. (Maybe you like that approach)
Alternative might me that you attach the businessrule to the/those webform(s) - especially read-only webforms, where people don't save data or execute businessrules and which are opened most often by all users and don't tell them about that method at all.
You then should get a pretty complete overview of your active users (userid's only I am afraid ) in hbrlaunch.log
in addition, financial reporting has a logfile as well, so you could combine the usage of financial reporting and planning (provided you use it)
pls. note, that the early 9.3.1 financial reporting versions have a bug and the logfile is empty= useless
Assuming you use shared services, you probably have to attach your users into several groups- it maybe helpful to first remove the user from one central group, which blocks their access to planning application or takes the right to open planning forms- you then start your forecast, wait for their complaints and delete them 3 months later completely from all security groups - could save you some work on re-creating their access.
We use the apache http-webserver - you can modify it, so that it's logging all datatransfer - you get there the IP-Adress and the requested application (Hyperion Planning) and the requested webforms logged - but no username.
In the eas console, we see the last logindate, which seems to show the last date, a user requested a financial report against essbase.
We use that information in combination with hbrlaunch.log form businessrules.
we have the hsp_audit_trail switched on for all options-
data: it stores all member, user and time information for every single saved value in the database - so we have between 500.000 and 1 Mio entries - it's especially useful, when your essbase crashes and your backup is a few hours old- you then can use that information to upload the remaining data-entries via smartview/exceladdin - provided you have some hours time to prepare the values in excel.
hspaudittrail useful as well when it comes to discussion, who entered which numbers when.
tracking of businessrule execution: should deliver same results as hbrlaunch.log
other changes being tracked should be meaningless for your requirement, as it tracks the work of the admin-person (Dimensions, Members, Usergroups, Webforms)
    regards

  • Tracking load on Hyperion Planning

We need to come up with a management level report showing the usage of Hyperion Planning in the company.<BR><BR>We need metrics like :<BR>Peak number of users<BR>Average number of users (polling every 30 minutes)<BR><BR>Is there anything within Hyperion Planning for this. I was thinking that I could find something probably in the WebServer for this. We are using WebSphere.<BR><BR>Any suggestions or pointers are welcome.<BR><BR>Thanks in Advance,<BR>Nazim

Have you ever valued the Evaluation Order?
I'll bet you haven't. Assuming that the dimension in question is Accounts, move that dimesion to be first in Evaluation Order.
You can find Evaluation Order in the classic administrator dimension editor. It's the third tab on the right. Dimensions, Performance Settings, Evaluation Order.

  • Inter-company Clearing Process

Inter-company sub-ledger is cleared manually using F-30 on our current process. The steps are as below:
There are 4 steps to the process
    Step1. FBICS3 – Select Document (SAP)
    Step2. FBICA3 - Assign document automatically (SAP)
Step3. Spreadsheet for manual analysis (Outside SAP)
Step4. F-30 – Transfer with Clearing (SAP – Manual clearing)
Step 2 FBICA3 will assign and match the reconciliation items automatically but it does not cleared the items automatically. Therefore, further analysis has to be done and reconcile items will be manually cleared using F-30.
May I know is there a way to clear all the reconciliation items automatically during step 2 as FBICA3 has already assigned and matched the reconcile items? If this is not the case, what are the other options apart from F-30 and ABAP program?
    Thank you.
    Francis

IN the due course of buisness the companies has to either make a payment or make a Journal entry manually eliminating this.
If you have implemented consoldation these entries will automatically get eliminated at Group level.
    Reward if useful.
