  • Inter company selling and inter company stock transfer?

    Hi Gurus,
what is the difference between Inter company selling and inter company stock transfer?

    Hi,
Intercompany selling is the sale of goods in one company code to another company code. Here with the settings at OMGN purchasing plant creates PO with document type NB and system will allow to put conditions in the PO .Sometimes transfer price also may take place.Sale plant will deliver the goods at VL10B and PGIs the material at VL02N and bills the customer here the purchasing plant , and purchasing plant receives the material normally posts the sent bill by his vendor the sale plant at miro.
In the stock transfers, it is a normal stock transfer between the plants of a sdame company code , which does not involves with bilkling rather system will allow to put the conditions of frieght only in the PO.As said the the PO will be created with document type UB. if you want to involve the SD do the settimgs at OMGN for document type UB.AND the other prosedure will be same as above.
If not the stock transfer can also be done using mormal MIGO operations of moment types. After receiving the stock will be valuated at the receiving plant valuation.
Do remember that the material should exist in both the plants.

  • Company Code and Tax company

    Hi Experts,
Help me to define what's the difference between the company code and a tax company. Do we have any integration between company code and tax company. I have a scenario with a client where they have only one company code and asking me to define multiple tax companies so that the can generate the W'2 seperately based on the tax company. My concern in this was when we run the tax reporter it will look for the temse files so if we define multiple tax companies with one company code will it effect us any way when we do the w'2 from the tax reporter at the year end.
    Any help is appreciated
    Thanks in advance

    Hi,
    1) Tax Cos are not assigned directly to co.Code. These are assigned to the Personnel areas (Table V_t5uop).
    2) Tax co.is assigned to a distinct Employer Identification Number (EIN) and is mapped to a BSI tax company for tax calculation purposes.
    3) You may also want to check feature UTXRP & UTXTM based on your requirement & business process.
    Hope this helps.

  • User exit to check PO company code and MIRO company code

    HI,
when user entering an invoice in a company code different than what is on the PO.  Currently, the system will let them key the invoice and it will automatically intercompany it to the correct company.
I want to Implement FI validation so that the system provides a warning when you post to FI MIRO.  In the FI validation, use the user exit to get the PO company code and do a compare of the company code from the PO to the input field on the invoice and if not the same provide screen popup warning .
Using OBBH Create validation rule in user exit  for input invoice and process MIRO associated company codes
Plese provide me correct user exit.
I tried BAdI INVOICE_UPDATE, but it didnt work.

  • Vendor Company Code and PO Company Code Different

    HI All,
There is a central purch org for all comp code. Whenever we create a vendor we have to enter comp code, pur org and account grp. Suppose I create a vendor for Company Code "X" and another vendor for Company Code "Y". Pur Org will be same i.e. central pur org. Now I am creating a PO for Comp Code "X" but using vendor with Comp Code "Y". System is allowing me to create a PO in this way. I want the system should not allow me to create a PO in this way.
Even I have checked the message MEPO038, but I could not find this message
I am able to see the message ME038 is this the same.
Is it possible to advice me some user exits as well.
    Thank you.
    hani

    Hi,
IF the vendor not created for that company code the system will throw error .this is the std functionality. In your case the vendor would have maintained for the both company code thats why it is allowing .
if you want to make MEPO038 as error message Create new entries as below
OLME ---Environmet data -- Attribute of system message click new entries
    versio :00
    App:MEPO
    mess:038
    cate: E
if you want use user exit try following

  • Questions on Inter-company and Cross-company sales ordering process..

    Hi,
I understood the delivery plant and the sales org. is not in the same company code might be the process, but i want to know some details especially in SAP system how it is realized and processed, hope could kindly help me on below questions!! thanks!!
1)what is the difference between inter-company sales and Cross-company sales??
2)What is the general document flow and config. when in below 2 cases:
Suppose the 2 company code under same sap client system, then what kinds of company code, plant config within the system for inter-compan and cross-company, and finally what kind of document flow will it be in the system.
Suppose the 2 company code is under diff sap system, then what kind of doc flow in each sap system for inter-company and cross-company sales process???
    Thank you very much!!!!

    Hi,
Basically there are totally Three types of scenarios
    1. Intra Compnay Stock Transport Order
In this type of scenario, the stock is transfered between Two Plants which are under the same Compnay Code. The document type used here is UB. Here in this scenario the owner ship on the stock is not changed thats way there will not be any Invoice. The process as follows
    a. Create Purchase Order with document type UB - ME21N
    b. Create Replenishment Delivery with Document type NL - VL10B
    c. Picking and PGI - VL02N
Now stock will be shown in Transit, you can check this using T.Code MB5T.
    d. Do MIGO to receive the stock into ordering plant.
    2. Inter Compnay Stock Transport Order
This is called as Cross Compnay STO. Here the stock is sent from one plant to another plant which are in two different Compnay codes. That means the Ownership on the stock is changed in this scenario, that way there will be Intercompnay Invoice IV is reaised. Here the stock is just moved to one plant to another plant but not to any customer.
    The Process is as follows
    a. Create a PO using type NB - ME21N
    b. Create a Cross Compnay Replenishment delivery using type NLCC - VL10B
    c. Picking and PGI in VL02N
    d. Inter Compnay Invoice IV is raised by Supplying Compnay code to the Ordering Compnay Code - VF01
for this a customer created in Supplying Compnay who represents the Ordering Compnay and the invoice is raised against to that customer.
    e. MIGO to receive the stock in Ordering Plant
    f. MIRO to do invoice verification and do Vendor account update. This also can be done by EDI triggering, to update the Vendor Account. That means with this step, ordering compnay will update into its vendor account that he has to give certain amount to the compnay who supplied the stock.
    3. Inter Compnay Customer Sales
This is similer to the 2 process, but here instead of sending to Plant we will send the stock directly to Customer of other compnay code.
    The process is as follows
    a. Customer raises  normal sales order in another compnay code of type OR - VA01
    b. But if the plant of that compnay does not have stock, then in the order the plant is changed to other compnay code plant.
    c. Delivery is created in supplying Compnay against this Order - VL01
    d. Picking and PGI is done - VL02N
    e. But the stock is sent direclty to customer from supplying plant.
    f. Ordering compnay will raise normal invoice F2 to the customer
    g. Supplying Compnay will raise Intercompnay invoice IV to the Ordering Compnay.
But for all these process there are some configurations can be done, like
the material should be extended to both the plants
a customer is created in supplying plant who represents the ordering plant so that IV can be generated to that customer.
Supplying Plants should be linked to ordering Sales Org and Distribution channel. etc.
    Hope this is clear.
    Thanks

  • Trading Partners and Inter-company Customers / Vendors

Can someone explain in greater deal how exactly Trading Partners and Inter-company Master Data interact with each other to allow for inter-company transactions?  What types of configuration needs to take place in order to set this up properly and what other things should one keep in mind to configure this properly?

    - create trading partners in OX15
    - assign it company codes (if entities are in SAP) in OX16; leave it if not
    - when vendors/customers are created, assign appropriate trading partners (control data tab) in them
    - postings using these customers/vendors would have trading partners on their accounting document automatically
    - information is used in consolidation to eliminate intercompany payables/receivables.

  • Inter Company Billing and automatic booking to Vendor master.

    Hi,
Wish you a Happy New year,,,,,,,
We have done all the necessary configuration for generating Inter Company billing including the Cost booking to vendor Automatically.
There are certain points where I need some help,
    1) During Idoc genration we are getting error related to Payment terms of Internal Customer.
If the payment terms is immidiate then only an Idoc is getting generated,,,,,,,,, else it is throwing an error message " status 51", but according to our business requirements it may be for any days and this may also impact our aging analysis and cash flows.
    2) We have configured upto Third level of product hierarchy but while creating a contract if user maintains only upto first level, then release to account is not happening for inter company billing. Where as if user maintain upto third level there is no issue in the whole process of inter comapny billing.
Kindly suggest us how to restrict user to maintain product hierarchy pto third level during the creation of contract.
    3) during the Inter company billing generation, if the internal customer is eligible for Tax exemption or tax booking, that is how to book the tax details to internal customer and also to vendor while booking the cost. Please let us know the logic for tax processign in Inter company billing and Idoc generation.
Awaiting for a favourable reply and thanks in Advance.
    Regards,
    Upendra.

    Hello,
Did you assign the internal customer to the ordering sales organisation? If not, then create a customer in Delivering Sales org + DC+ Div + Plant and assign the same in the ordering sales organisation.
You can maintian the same in SPRO --> Enterprise structure --> Defenition --> Sales organisation (Enter internal customer).
    Or
SPRO--> Sales and  Distribution --> Billing ---> Intercompany billing --> Define internal customer

  • Suggestion on Intra and inter company process

    Hi
I have a requirement where we are configuring both intra and inter company billing thorugh one sales doucment type.
    Intra :Process:
    ORder ---> PR/PO ---> MIGO--> MIRO ---> Delivery. ( Between same company codes)
    Inter Process
    Order ---> PR/PO ---> Order ( supplying company) ---> PR/ PO ---> MIGO--> MIRO ---> DELIVERY---> IV BILLING.
Now the question is we have same item categories and schedule lines, but for intra there is no billing , inter process IV billing will be created.
can you suggest me with out changing the item categories how we can achieve the automatically.
    thanks

    Hi JC,
Well, the settings are basically the same for both flows on MM side. There are some settings that differ on SD side, but if you stick to standard delivery types, billing types and item categories, this should be already in place.
To start with SAP standard, you should complete all the steps in IMG under MM > Purchasing > Purchase order > Set up Stock Transport Order.
In the first option you allocate a customer number to the receiving plant (make sure you have the same number in your development system as in production - by e.g. external number range) and a shipping area (sales org. - DC - division) to the sending plant.
In the fourth option you allocate the  combination of PO order type and the supplying plant to the delivery type and the avail. check. SAP std uses the order type UB and delivery type NL for intra-company trsp and order type NB and delivery type NLCC for cross-company trsp.
In the last fifth option you define the possible flows - the supplying plant, the receiving plant and the order type to be used (in std - UB for intra-company and NB for cross-company trsp).
The rest should be in place. Maybe only account determination missing.
Actually you can also run intra-company transports with order type UB and delivery type NL if you don't need the cross-company invoicing for legal purposes (e.g. creating invoices manually).
The process for UB orders is PO > SD delivery (trs VL10B) > goods issue for the delivery (trs VL02N), goods receipt for the outbound delivery (MIGO). You can also substitute the SD delivery with MM mvt type 351 (trs MIGO).
In case of cross-company trsp with NB order, two more steps are added; billing in SD (trs VF01 with ref. to the delivery) and invoice verification in MM.
Please tell the forum if any specific questions.

  • Inter and Intra Company Stock Transport Orders

    Hi All,
has anyone set up the following scenarios?
    1. Intra Company Stock Transport Orders between 2 plants in the same company code and same Sales Org
i.e Plant 0001 (Supplying Plant) exists for Company Code 0001 and Sales Org 0001
Plant 0002 (Receiving Plant) exists for Company Code 0001 and Sales Org 0001
    2. Inter Company Stock Transport Orders between 2 plants in different company codes and different Sales Orgs
i.e. Plant 0003 (Supplying Plant) exists for Company Code 0002 and Sales Org 0002
Plant 0002 (Receiving Plant) exists for Company Code 0001 and Sales Org 0001
We are unable to get both scenarios to work at the same time due to the fact that only one Sales organization for intercompany billing can be assigned to a plant.
    Regards
    Chris

Followings steps are involved for configuring intra stock transport order.

3.Assign customer master to receiving plant with same Sales area.
4.Assign Delivery Type and Checking Rule.
5.Assign Document Type, One-Step Procedure, under delivery Tolerance.
6.Make Sure Assignment of  sales organization - distribution channel - plant
7.Create material master with purchasing view in plant B.
8.Extend material master with sales view to plant A.
9.In Plant A create STO (UB), with supplying plant. Check for shipping point XXXX.

11.Create delivery for XXXX shipping points.
    12. Post Goods issue.

  • Bussiness process of Inter company sales and why we suggest Inter company

    Dear All SD Gurus,
I want to Know the business procees of inter company sales and why we suggest inter company sales to clint?.
Because in Third party sales also vendor delivers the goods to customer so why we need to go for Inter company.I want know the Major defferences between them.
    Please Help
    Regards
    S Kumar

    Dear Sandeep
    1)  Inter Company Transfer
We should not call the inter company transfer as sales.  The proper way to account for these transfers is to treat them as consignment sales.
    Why?
    1)  You do not recognize income until the stock is actually sold to the end user (ie retailer, wholesaler).
    2)  You minizime your taxable income.
    2)  Third Party Sales
In third-party order processing, your company does not deliver the items requested by a customer. Instead, you pass the order along to a third-party vendor who then ships the goods directly to the customer and bills you. A sales order may consist partly or wholly of third-party items. Occasionally, you may need to let a vendor deliver items you would normally deliver yourself.
    Thanks

  • Inter company and intra company billing

    Hi Dina,
Can you please explain the difference between inter and intra company billing and under what condition which one can be used?
    Thank you.

    Edited by: user4461879 on Mar 2, 2011 7:16 AM

    Hi
Intercompany billing is done when both organizations, the provider and receiver organizations, are within the same operating unit.
If organizations are in different operating units, you would be using intercompany billing.
Oracle Projects cross charge functionality is quite different with those two scenarios.
Cross charge within the same operating unit is called Borrow-and-Lent. This process generates journal entries for both organizations, sent to the same SOB. There are no AP and AR internal invoices involved with that.
When you need to cross operating units, there are additional setup steps, like creating an inter-company projects for each one of the parties.
