Interactive report - multiple lines
Hi,
I saw a thread on here where people used custom <something> to make reports spread over multiple lines (ATD example). However, that was a normal report. Is there a way to make a column spread over two rows in an interactive report? An app has just been released for testing but the description field is causing headaches in the report.

Interactive Reporting - Multiple SELECT stmts in 1 query
Is it possible to multiple/nested select statements in 1 query? Actually what I need to do is pull records for the last 12 months. The SQL that I'm basing my IR query from has multiple SELECT statements and uses the add_month function w/ a parameter ranging from 0 to -12.

Enabling Icon View in an Interactive Report
Hi all
I would have liked to add a screenshot to show what is exactly the nature of the problem, but since I cannot, I'll give as much details as I can.
So, any way, in Apex 4, I enabled the "Icon view" in the "Interactive Report Attributes" of an "Interactive Report". Once I ran the application, I switch the view of the report to "Icon View" and then deactivated the "Search Bar" (in the "Interactive Report Attributes") in order to restraint the user's view to the "Icon View". Everything worked just fine, I got the application to load the icons and to display them with a cute text... but then, even if the report is displayed as a horizontal "list", I remain stock with some of the report's view borders, + when I scroll my mouse on one of the icons, it highlight all the icons of the row like it will do for an interactive report's line. So what I will like to do is to completely hide the reports border and to disable the mouseover option.
I tried to resolve those two 'detail's by using the customizing options offered by Apex, but I couldn't find anything. I'm open to any suggestion...

I am working on an interactive ALV report where i have to select multiple lines from the basic list into an internal table, based on check box clicks. Using RS_SELFIELD i can select only 1 row. The coding has been done based on Call Function. Can u please suggest some way.

Dropdown box on each line of interactive report?
In a manner similar to the column attributes report in the APEX development GUI I would like to create an interactive report on which I can show at least one drop-down box. I want to allow the value to be changed on multiple rows and when a button is clicked the update (and other perocessing) occurs. I know how to put an icon to open an edit dialog. And I know how to put a checkbox on the line. I found the apex_item.select_list_from_lov but it does not seem to be doing what I expect - most likely because I am not doing it right. I have included that here.
I thought this would give me a drop-down list from which I could select a value - but that seems not to be the case.

I have a Interative report and I am using Apex download format as CSV.
I have defined some of the column heading in multiple line using break < br >
when I export this into the excel sheet..the column heading contains break also..
- Any idea how to avoid line break while exporting in excel.
- also how to put the columns heading in BOLD when exported in excel.

I am new to BI publisher and not able to generate multiple lines for headers. Please help me to resolve.
I am using RTF template, data source as PS Query and XML file (system generated from the data source)
When I am using system generated 'First XML' file, I am getting output in the follwoing format.

Interactive form is working fine with one line item. But if I give multiple lines in table (line item) its creating sales order with single line item. So please help me how to pass multiple lines.

In cross tab m able to see the data properly but not in graph.I have three categories. Hence it should plot three lines in line chart but m able to see only one line for test category.

I am developing a interactive report used Set-PFstatus '100' , AT user-command and At line-selection in a single program.
Here At line-selection is not working but at user-command is working fine.
After commenting set-PF ststus '100' event at line selection is working.
Ii want at to use at-user command and at line-selection both to work with set pf-status.

You can use these events together but in case while
creating your GUI status for your program you have
to give Function Code 'PICK' with F2 short cut key
because for at line selectino double click 'PICK' function
code is trigerred.

You will need to create a pipeline function and use it in your query. But both your queries have to return the same dataset.

Is there any way to get this note all on one line - or atleast expand the width to increase or decrease the number of characters per line.

You can also consider to render your "Notes"-column as a textarea, eg:

For the text area you can define the default number of rows and column width you want. You render a column as text area with an apex_item function:
select apex_item.textarea(3,NOTES,1,80) from MY_TABLE
Where 3 is the index number that you want your NOTES colum to have and 1 and 80 stand for row and column width respectively. When you use apex_item for a column, make sure to set that column as "Standard Report Column" under "Report Attributes".

Interactive report – column heading in multiple rows
I am using interactive report. My question to the expert/guru’s is: - How do I change column heading into multiple row with text wrap.
For example:- My column heading is
Is Employee Trained ? -------> (single row display)
I want to make it display like
Is Employee
Trained ? ------> (Multi row display)

What you could do is, disable the download csv function from IR (Interactive Report Attributes--> Search Bar-- Uncheck Download) and in the region header create a link and redirect it to another page which will have the csv report output.
e.g. <a href="#" onclick="javascript:redirect('f?p=&APP_ID.:3:&SESSION.::&DEBUG.:3::');"" >Download Report </a>
Here I am redirecting the link to Page 3. On Page 3 create a sql report with the same query and make report template to csv. Thanks,
