Interchangeability groups (FFF-Class)

Needs to develop its own program allows to create interchangeability group (type of FFF-class). I've already learned thread List of materials assigned to Interchangeability group. (List of materials assigned to Interchangeability group.) and found a solution how to get a list of materials assigned to interchangeability groups and how to add them to the model.
But I would like to receive information about FM or BAPI that can help me create and delete groups, and even change the lock status.

Hi Alexander,
/INCMD/EXT_MATNR is the product name from /sapapo/matkey table only.You can check the Function Module documentation of /INCMD/BAPI_GROUP_SAVE in which SAP has provided 5 examples also.
Example 1: Create supersession chain
Example 2: Update supersession chain
Example 3: Create supersession chain with product combination
Example 4: Create FFF class with FFF subsets
Example 5: Create procedure
If you want to get the Product name from Product GUID you can use below available FMs
/SAPAPO/DM_MATERIAL_GET_MATID - Provides Material ID &
/SAPAPO/DM_MATID_GET_MATERIAL - Determines External # for Internal Material Number

Have you worked with Part interchangeability with FFF class and FFFC or HERB material type?
I am looking for cross-reference functionality for interchangeable materials from maintenance/service perspective. We have users changing manufacturer's part number as and when needed and maintaining cross-reference via classification. Maintaining SAP part number and HERS is too much data maintenance, so we are looking for simple solution.
We are in standard ECC 6.0. (No APO). I checked OSS 181764, but it doesn't help us in instructions for enhancement.
If this needs activation for DIMP or A&D, do you know enhancement for this?

I have been involved with a client who is interested to know the implementation of FFF functionality. Can you share your experience in a bit more details.
The client is interested in using parts where multiple models are available in the market and few of them are interchangeable. They would like to purchase it as an asset and then manage the inventory as non valued material. How does it work throuh the APO for forecasting and demand planning functionalities.

Mass creation of interchangeability groups

Hi,
for our go live in September we need to create around 500 interchangeability groups. As this would be a very big manual and time consuming affort by using the TA: /incmd/ui, we would like to use a "mass transaction" to create them.
Does anybody have an idea whether something like this exists and how we could work with it?
The idea is to have a list with the successor and predecessor products.

You can use BAPI " /INCMD/BAPI_GROUP_SAVE to create or change interchangeability groups of type
Supersession chain
FFF class
FFF subset
Restricted interchangeability for FFF classes
Product substitution procedure
Location chain
Location product chain
Location determination procedure
Location product substitution procedure .
This BAPI also enables to assign models to the interchangeability groups.
The same BAPI can be used for both create as well as change.

Link-Group Asset Class, Depreciation Area & Depreciation Key

Dear Experts,
I am new to FI-AA Customization & have a basic query about Group Asset Concept.
I am working on Ecc 6.0 & for Country India.
I want to create Group Asset for calculation of Depreciation as per Income Tax Act. Hence there is just one Depreciation Area (for Group Assets) , but the Depreciation keys are different. E.d IN1, IN2 etc. (Country Version India)
Now the questions are :
1) Do we need to create different Asset Class for different Group Assets or to create just 1 Asset Class for all Group Assets.
E.g. I want to calculate Depreciation As per income Tax Act on Gross Block of Building, Furniture & Fixture, Motor Car, Vehicles etc. So I need to create separate Group Asset Class for each one of above or just to create one Group Asset Class.
2) If we need to create just one Asset Class for all Group Assets; how to maintain a Depreciation Key in OAYZ as there are more than 1 Depreciation Keys?
3) is there any other method / functionality to calculate Depreciation as per income Tax Act or Group Asset is the only functionality?

Reshma.
Looking at your Questions let us take explanation for Group Assets :-
1 ) We need to create new different asset class for Group Class in OAOA. Then permit the depreciation area for only Group Asset in OAYM as it is in your current scenario India is Depreciation Area 15 Just select your company code in OAYM and check the Grp Asset field for respective area 15. Then go to OAAX here we have to maintain the assets classes particularly for Group Assets. So check your Group Asset classes for Group Assets. Cerate different Group asset classes for your said requirement.
In these depreciation areas, it is then possible to make an assignment to a group asset. You make this assignment in the specifications for the depreciation area in the asset master record. When you post an acquisition to this kind of asset, the system duplicates the line items from this depreciation area on the given group asset.
2 ) According to me you have to create different depreciation keys for Group Asset classes. Assign the Depreciation keys to your newly created Group Asset Classes in OAYZ and make sure you are deactivating 01 area which is Book Depreciation area.
3 ) As far as I know this is the only functionality available to handle Group Assets. How ever SAP does not have any standard Group Assets functionality. SAP does not supply asset classes to be used solely for group assets. It is we have to determine as per varying Business Process.

in mm01 u can extent the material for new plant
first creat all the views say purchasing accounting basic view etc for one plant
the go to MM01 put same materal code and select the views purchasing and accounting
now put the other plant number
enter
and put the purchasing and valuation class etc asd save
thuis u can extend the material to other plant
reward if usefull

PIC01 - Search of Field "FFF Class"

Hi,
I have some FFF Classes created by MM01.
Whenever I go to t-code PIC01, I try to search (F4) for these classes, but only one appears.
The others are created in the same way. It looks like an error of the search in the field "FFF Class"... Any advice you can give me in order that if i search, all the classes are listed??

How to define Group Asset Class in Asset Accounting ?

Hi Vickss,
Group assets are used for reporting of Income tax as per IT act .
settings for group assets done in fallowing ways,
a) OAYM - to define the depritiation areas that would be used for group assets .
b) OAAX - where in you decide which all asset class are to be used for group asset functionality .
You create the group asset using the T code AS21 and then assign the same to the depreciation areas or asset classes at the time of creation of the asset through say AS01 .
This Might help u to understand Group Asset.

In Repeating Group - Slave group (S:CLASS), we are suppose to insert the Report Symbol using Expansion Mode NM Method, using C14N_SYMBOL_DGREG_SUPPRESS this method.

If the symbol for the dangerous goods regulation (G1022024LW) is defined within the repeating group S:CLASS, the characteristic values that are not relevant are suppressed by the UN listed substance.
This ensures that the system only outputs the UN listed substance legal data valid for the corresponding regulation.

I need to setup new material groups with descriptions, valuaiton classess and their related GL accounts. What steps do i nned to follow.

Go to transacition OMSF to define the material group
Go to transaciotn OMSK to define the valuation class
here you can define or use existing A/C ategory reference than create valuation calss and assign the A/C category to that valution class and next step you can assign the material type
G/L account you can define in FS00 transaciotn and you can assign them to the valution class in OBYC transcation.

Material groups-valuation classes combination

Hello,
I have material groups which are created for services, and they don't have a material code. When I purchase these materials, I enter the cost center as account assignment type, and the service I'm purchasing and the material group I mentioned for these services.
Below, it asks the GL account. In order to avoid entering this GL account every time I purchase services, I want to combine these material groups to the valuation classes. And then those valuation classes and GL accounts will be combined in T030 table.
Where could I do this combination through customizing this matching of valuation classes and the material groups?

Hello forum!
I customized a specific material group with a valuation class (transaction omqw).
During a PO creation, the GL account is displayed by default when i enter a blank material and the material group that i previously customized.
However, if I enter a material code with the specific material group, the field of the GL account is empty.
Do you have any suggestions in order to have a default GL account at PO in the case that the material has a code but it has no valuation class?

Group style classes

Hi,
I would like to group few style classes to one user style class.
I was trying ths code:
.myButton af|commandButton:hover, af|commandButton:focus:hover {
background-color: transparent;
and also this:
.myButton af|commandButton:hover af|commandButton:focus:hover {
background-color: transparent;
But it didn't work.
Do you know how could I define it?
So I will be able to use only myButton style class and it will include af|commandButton:hover, af|commandButton:focus:hover etc.

OIM AD Group Object Classes

Hello
I need to add an additional object class to AD groups that are created from OIM. I am using OIM 9.1.0.2 and trying to update the lookup.ad.configuration ldapgroupobject class from "group" to "group | PosixGroup" and it looks like this is not taking. Does anyone know a good way to get the additional object class added when creating new groups in AD? Any help you can give would be appreciated.

Deletion of add.group in class characteristics

Char group is part of config and it can not be crated for calss
you can delete this in config but there is not relation with class

I am a fitness director and looking for an app that will allow me to sale and track group fitness classes. What app do you think would be best for this?

I want to sale classes individually and in packages. I'll need to track when purchases are made and then when credits have been redeemed (if they purchased a package of classes). I suspect I'd need an app in the bussiness category, but there are so many and some with a few qualities I'm looking for, but missing a key component. I can't be the only one looking for a solution like this. Right?!
