Interface still acting like I'm stupid

Ok. I finally found where to change the driver settings. Under GearBox prefs, then under the advanced hardware and driver settings I can change the system settings... Default Input and output. I changed these to TonePort UX1 and I began to get sound out of the computer. It skipped though! terribly... and, I found out that I only got sound out of the interface if I plugged into the Line 6's headphone port.
I'm not using an active speaker... I simply loaded a PA speaker up to my room and have it directly plugged into the interface with a 1/4" cable.
So, then I clicked configure speakers... I clicked the front left speaker and got noise out of it. Now, I was in the mood for exploring, (because the sound was horribly skipping) so I clicked out of stereo and selected "Multichannel." Ever since I did that I haven't gotten ANYTHING out of the PA speaker.
My system prefs are still set to the TonePort USB, and now I've changed the setting inside GearBox... I don't know why I'm recieving zero sound from my PA speaker right now, because I can still get sound to come out of the internal speakers if I revert all the changes I've made.
but then when they do/did work, why was it skipping? Any video I played was so bumpy....

Line 6 TonePort UX1 is my little interface. I connected via USB. I have a G5 tower... and basically right at the moment I want to use this interface just so I can hook up some powerful speakers and listen to music/edit video with FCE.
Like i mentioned only one PA passive speaker is hooked up at the moment. (I know that it's passive so I won't get a lot of sound out of it) but It's just a temporary thing until I get the Line 6 up and running, then I will purchase a pair. Is there any other information you need?
Ok, it's not set to multichannel anymore, but I still hear nothing...

the output volume on the interface is about 75% and the green light is on. (from what I read that's atleast a good sign)

You don't need 3 separate Apple IDs, but you do need to set up each device with a unique email address for Facetime to communicate between the devices. You can go to Settings > Facetime and add another email address for each device.

When I enter full screen for a game or video using Firefox the whole "screen" moves to the left, leaving a white space on the right side of my monitor, but the mouse still acts like the image is where it should be, why?

I have the latest Firefix update, and I am using Windows 7 Home Premium. It's annoying, specifically for games because I have to make sure the cursor is to the right (by a certain amount) of the item I wish to click. I have javascript enabled, but it still acts like I don't.

I am getting tired of people telling me to go enable javascript when it clearly says it is enabled. I am running Mac OSX Ver 10.7.5 and the latest version of firefox. I go onto tumblr, WITH javascript enabled, and I will go to ask someone a question using their messaging system on tumblr, and I'm met with an alert stating "Sorry! Javascript is required to view this feature." I will repeat that first part, JAVASCRIPT HAS BEEN ENABLED ALREADY. And yes, tumblr is saying javascript and not java, I've heard so many times already about how the two are different.

Entering Registration Code for Quicktime acts like it works but doesn't actually

I've read a lot of these quicktime troubleshooting steps and support Q&A but can't seem to get Pro to unlock. I have verified that I am typing correctly in both the Registered To and Registration Code fields on the register.
When I hit Apply it produces a line of text that says QuickTime 7 Pro, but that's it.
When I hit okay and try to use some of the QT Pro functionality, say file>New Player it still acts like I don't have Pro. if I click About QuickTime it doesn't says 7.7.1 not pro
So heres what I have tried so far. Restarting Quicktime. Restarting the Computer. Uninstalling Quicktime Restarting the computer and Reinstalling Quicktime and trying to register again.
The problem still pursists. I have purchased the Windows Version, am running Windows 7, and have the latest version of quicktime. I don't mind re-doing any of these steps if it will help troubleshoot this problem. What would you suggest to ensure that I can upgrade to QT Pro successfully?

It won't say "pro" anywhere other than a small "Pro" tag on the QuickTime "Q" logo. If the Pro labels disappeared from the commands and they're no longer greyed out, the key was correctly registered.
If "New Player" doesn't work, something else is amiss. First, confirm that the new player isn't just hiding behind an existing one or other window. If that's definitely not the case, do any of the other Pro functions such as Export work? Or are all of the functions not working?

CS2 uninstall, mac desktop screen acting like photoshop image

Recently my creative suite on my mac stopped updating showing an error, so each time now when updates arrive I cannot update. Now my 20" intel macs desktop image acts like a photoshop image?
The desktop starts up and then expands beyond the screen, by nearly 2", when the cursor is moved accross the screen the desktop image moves too, it is making its way to see the unseen edge which appears as cursor moves towards that edge, (eg from centre move cursor to right screen image moves left). This is quite a sea-sick effect. Also if you click and drag on the desktop it forms a box, like the one in photoshop. Something seems corrupted. I want to uninstall the creative suite then reinstall (this should help the updates) but I do not know if the screen on my mac will correct.
I looked up how to uninstall and the first thing is to double click on the Activity Monitor in Utilities and select AHCRemind.
I double click on the Activity Monitor and the window I get up does not show AHCRemind? I cannot proceed. Can anyone help, has anyone had the same problem with the desktop?

I have managed to cure the screen moving but I still need to uninstall CS2 (creative suite 2) and reinstall. I have an intel mac 10.4 os running tiger. As I said before I cannot find the 1st step on the instruction, perhaps the instruction is pre tiger, or Leopard system? Please help.

Getting Dynamic Text To Act Like Static Text

Hi, need help.
I currently have 7 text/symbols that each move to the right
when a button beneath expands in a mouseover.event.
Working fine.
With one exception: I need to set the text value of that text
dynamically using loadVars (the text is dates that vary).
No problem, I can do that with dynamic text, except for a few
somewhat ugly problems.
Problem 1 - I want the text just to display. The dynamic text
gets the I-Beam mouse cursor.
Problem 2 - Dynamic text lets the user select some or all of
the text, which then shows in highlighted color.
I don't want the user to have any interaction with the text,
and I'd like to have the "hand" mouse pointer over it, which
carries through from the button underneath, just like the static
text currently does.
I've tried the label component, but when you move it, it
evaluates the HTML that sets the color too slowly, so you only see
the start and end points. I've tried on (load) and on (draw), and
the text looks like it's taking a huge hop from starting point to
ending point, instead of moving gracefully across the real estate
(default is black, html makes it white).
Any idea how I can get text to move, to format, to get its
text at startup and still look like and act like it's the text on
top of a button?

I had an imap account in my iPad and my iPhone 4. They worked just fine till about Christmas. They act like they are checking the mail and it shows there is mail to come in, but it just goes back to saying checking mail. Can't send mail either.

Hello All,
To anyone with the same problem described above, on THEIR iPad (if it is running iOS 7.0.2):
Go to Settings; Mail, Contacts, Calendars; DELETE your *******@btinternet.com e-mail account, that you originally set up either using 'Other', or the 'BT' option which I am sure was in the list previous to the iOS 7 update.
Then ADD a NEW account choosing YAHOO from the list of options. DO NOT USE 'OTHER'.
Enter the correct details just as you (almost certainly) had already done in your previous attempts using 'other'.
When you see the 'verifying......' and 'the blue ticks' you should be able to exit settings and open your mail app and then receive all your 'old' e-mails again, AND be able to SEND as well.
All my 'old' e-mails, were NOT found in the 'old e-mail' folder though. THEY are still in my inbox.
So this fix worked for me.
After I deleted my account from 'OTHER' and put it in Yahoo, I like other people also ended up with more folders.
I hope this works for you on YOUR Apple devices.

- Also try DFU mode after try recovery mode

- If not successful and you can't fully turn the iOS device fully off, let the battery fully drain. After charging for an least an hour try the above again.
- Try on another computer

30GB iPod acting like 4GB iPod

Hi! I have a black, 30GB fifth generation iPod that can hold 2500 songs. A few weeks ago I decided to do a little cleaning up becaue I realized that I don't listen or like a portion of the songs on my iPod, so I deleted all of them. As I was re-loading my iPod, I found that at 636 songs, it was over half full.
I did have an iPod nano that I gave to my dad, but I haven't had it connected to my computer for a long time. I also deleted all 636 songs, disconnected it, then re-connected my iPod to my computer, and started loading song onto it again. Like before, it was over half full at 606 songs.
Then I uninstalled iTunes, re-intalled it, and plugged in my iPod. It was still acting the same: like an iPod nano. I've called technical support and they said to check the support online if you don't want to pay a $40 phone charge.
Can anyone help me with my problem?

Does iCloud Make Pop Mail Act like IMAP?

I have basically 1 main question, but 2 different scenarios I'm dealing with - one personally for my mail and the other for my boss.
Though a longtime Mac user, I am new to using Mountain Lion, iPhone, iPad and iCloud and historically I have always had numerous email accounts in Mac Mail set up as POP and countless elaborate folders that I file and keep all my old emails in for reference.
When buying my new iMac with ML, the one thing I have not yet done is turn on iCloud for mail.
If I am understanding how this works (before I do it and create a nightmare of duplication on my iPhone & iPad, etc), if I continue to create my email accounts as POP on my new ML iMac, with their various folders, etc., and turn on iCloud for mail, will it simply reflect on my other devices all the same email accounts and folders and in essence act like an IMAP account in that if you move or delete a piece of mail on one device it will do so on all the devices?
I not only need to sort this on my computer, but my boss'. She currently only uses gmail and has all these same devices but they are set up as IMAP and iCloud is turned on and she has mass duplication that is unbearable.
I am thinking it would be best for me to make her gmail account set up as a POP account and keep iCloud turned on and it will basically eliminate the gmail replication but still allow her devices to all be in sync and have action on one device be seen on all the others.
This would allow me to create folders for her on her computer in Mac Mail and not use the folder system in gmail at all.
Am I understanding this correctly? Hope I'm making sense!

Thanks for your response. I do understand what IMAP does, and I do purposely want all my emails POP so they are downloaded as localized on my computer.
But where the confusion is for me is iCloud.
There is "iCloud mail" which I DO NOT WANT. I don't need yet another mail account.
I mean "turning on" iCloud for your existing mail. The way you can turn it on for Calendar, Contacts etc. in Systme Preferences>iCloud> check Mail. Right now I do not have this checked on my iMac and I actually set up only one of my email accounts on my iPhone as a POP.
I was hoping that if I organize my email POP accounts the way I want on my iMac and file the various emails into whatever folders, that if I "turned on" iCloud, that it would reflect the same on my phone. If not, I will not add these accounts to my phone, as I don't want all that on my phone.
I like being able to glance at an email on the phone if I'm in town and be able to delete it, but still know its waiting for me to actually deal with and/or file when I get back to my main computer.
I monitor over 100 email accounts, some mine, but many for business clients and this is why I don't want my phone clogged with all this. But if turning on iCloud would mimic my iMac mail, then I could just file the emails on the Mac and know they are there in the phone (and I wouldn't delete them on the phone, as it would delete them on the Imac). Hope this is making sense!
In my boss' case, she has the reverse issue.
Someone in the UK set up her iPad, iPhone and laptop with Gmail - her only email account.
It is IMAP. They also turned on iCloud (not @icloud mail) and what she has is not only the duplicates caused by Gmail IMAP settings (which you have to remove in Gmail Settings so you don't have the dual Inbox and Gmail "All Mail" inbox on your devices, but to make things more complex for her, she has a Portuguese iPhone and a US iPhone (rather than just swapping SIM cards).
What I hear all day long is "why do I have all these duplicate emails" "where did everything go I was just looking at?" yadda yadda yadda.
She has her Inbox which has 2000 unread emails sitting in it and her "All Mail" with even more. Its a mess I want to clean up but don't want to do the wrong thing without fully understanding here what would happen.
I was hoping that "turning on" iCloud for your MacMail would actually reflect on your devices the same folders and accounts, in which case I could change her Gmail to a POP account and make folders for her and simply have them reflected on her devices once.
But is turning on iCloud in Syst. Pref for Mail doesn't do that, it won't work.

Pre turned itself off, after reboot, acted like it was my first use

Had this phone for several months now. Tonight it just randomly was off when I reached to use it. After a 10 min boot up, my apps were still on the phone, but I had to 'agree' to usage of the app store, and had to re-register my foursquare, accuradio, preware, email, and calendar. I dunno what else needs re-registering since I have so many apps.
Anyway, the phone is acting like I just turned it on for the first time. Also my stored alarms were erased.
Anyone ever have these issues?
I've had the lost alarm clock issue before, but never lost my registrations on my apps.

HT201413 iTunes acts like I haven't reviewed an app.

I have reviewed several apps yesterday and today. Once I write a review and click submit and leave the specific app page, the info I just entered disappears when I return to that app page. It acts like I haven't entered any info into the boxes. Does anyone have idea what is going on?

Was it purchased by that account, and is it still available in the store ? If it's been withdrawn from the store then you won't be able to re-download it
