Intermittent, but Persistent ERR_INVALIDDEVICEINDEX Error on VeriStand Workspace

I have a VeriStand 2011 (not SP1) system that sometimes presents error -2000000008 ERR_INVALIDDEVICEINDEX on the Workspace.
If OK is pressed, the error immediately comes back up and will not go away until I kill VeriStand.exe from the Task Manager (the error dialog is of course modal).
Is there anything in the VeriStand code for the Workspace that could be creating this error?
There is some custom code in this VeriStand system, but the RT is perfectly happy (from the console output), I am not using the initDevice.vi anywhere, there are no ActiveX calls in the custom code, and I have disabled most of the host side custom devices (very simple) with no change.
The difficult thing is that this is obviously being thrown by the VeriStand.exe process (as proven by both the glyph and Process Explorer) but I cannot consistently reproduce the error with any System Defintion file found to date.
The host computer is running Windows 7, with .NET 4.0, but I have confirmed that all .NET 3.5 features are enabled.

This is definitely a strange one... Immediately my thought is to attach the VeriStand.exe to Windbg and what more detailed information we can get on this thrown exception.

Are you using any custom workspace objects?
I know you mentioned that it shows up sometimes, but can you expand a bit more on the occurrence? Is it reproducible on the order of days, weeks?
Aside from a previous service request you opened, there is little troubleshooting information I can find on this error. However, I want to make sure we are troubleshooting this as thoroughly and quickly as possible. I will continue investigating and see if I can figure out anything else. In the mean time, please try to obtain a dump from Windbg after you run into the error.

Make sure you are doing it as explained here: http://support.apple.com/kb/ht4874. If you keep getting error messages when you try you might need to try again later in case they are having server issues. If it persists, you'll probably have to contact support. You could start by contacting iTunes store support by email, which is free: https://ssl.apple.com/emea/support/itunes/contact.html. Another option is to make an appointment witht the Genius bar at a nearby Apple store and have them take a look at it.

Persistent Layer Error Message: ORA-01729 database link name expected

Hi,
I've done a series of loads from DB2 into Oracle, initially importing the database objects from DB2 and Oracle, then creating the mappings, deploying and executing. It all worked and I had no problems. For some reason now whenever I tried to import a new Database Object (table) from the DB2 I enter the password, test it and it successfully connects but then I get the error message on a popup box:

If I create a new location for the same database it works and I can import new objects. The only difference I can think from the initial imports is that I’ve moved the repository from one server to another. Might be the case where some information got corrupted in the metadata.
Has anyone seen this kind of problem before? Can you please help me out with this issue?

New and Persistent MobileMe Error Message

A new and persistent MobileMe Error Message keeps hounding me. No troubles since the demise of MobileMe until lately. Please see the attached photo.
So far, I've deleted all references to MobileMe within my Keychain, re-checked my information in Apple Mail my "Mac.com/Me.com" account, gone to System Preferences to make sure the old MobileMe options (member name and password) are blank ... I'm OS-maxed-out at Snow Leopard, and deleted all plist files with references to MobileMe.
Any ideas for me? Thanks so very much.

Yes, those are no longer vaild, no idea why it's just happening now!?
Being IMAP, you should be able to delete that account, but for safety I'd backup at least your Mail.
You cannot use .mac or MobileMe as type of Account, you have to choose IMAP when setting up, otherwise Mail is hard coded to change imap.mail.me.com to mail.me.com & smtp.mail.me.com to smtp.me.com, no matter what you try to enter.
iCloud Mail setup, do not choose .mac or MobileMe as type, but choose IMAP...
On second step where it asks "Description", it has to be a unique name, but you can still use your email address.
IMAP (Incoming Mail Server) information:
    •    Server name: imap.mail.me.com
    •    SSL Required: Yes
    •    Port: 993
    •    Username: [email protected] (use your @me.com address from your iCloud account)
    •    Password: Your iCloud password
SMTP (outgoing mail server) information:
    •    Server name: smtp.mail.me.com
    •    SSL Required: Yes
    •    Port: 587
    •    SMTP Authentication Required: Yes
    •    Username: [email protected] (use your @me.com address from your iCloud account)

Also, you must upgrade your password to meet the new criteria: 8 characters, including upper and lower case and numbers. If you have an older password that does not meet these criteria, when you try to setup mail on your mac, using all of the IMAP criteria listed above, it will still give a server error message. Go to   http://appleid.apple.com         then follow directions to change your password, then go back to setting up your mail using the IMAP instructions above.

When I click Start Reporting and Analysis core serivces a command prompt window opens with the name "server" on the window, but the command prompt window itself is empty.

Changed rear housing but blank screen / error 1601

The rear housing had started to crack on my 3GS. This caused the power/sleep button to become intermittent so I decided to try and change the housing myself. Everything seemed to go back together fine but the power button still didnt work. I took it apart again, took the button off and just pressed the little button on the ribbon cable. it was still intermittent! during this i managed to snap the little prongs for the home button so now that doesnt work either.
After playing about for a while the screens now gone blank (not black..blank). my comp/itunes (windows 7) recognises the iphone as "in recovery mode and needs to be restored" i tried this but keep getting error 1601. ive followed the apple support pages...uninstalled itunes and reinstalled but nothing. tried running a script which i found to enter DFU mode which didnt do anything but to be honest im not really sure what im doing!
please help, its driving me crazy....

No, but I think there are a lot of very delicate connections and components inside the phone. There is a reason it's not considered user servicable. If you had a problem with a button, and you opened it up and re-assembled it and now the display doesn't work, I'd say there's a good chance that you broke something. Whether you intended to or not.
Maybe you can buy one with a physically broken display from e-bay or something and re-assemble a working phone from the frankenstiened parts.

Intermittent "Server not Found" errors

For the past week, I've been getting intermittent "Server not Found" errors. It'll happen when going to a site. I re-read the site and it might open to it. Go to another site, it works fine. Go there a minute later and "Server not Found." Just started last week, and I've found no real answer online. I've found a lot of people discussing this, but no real, solid solutions.

I installed evaluation version of ES2. Workbench, adminui and readerextenstions console are working fine. But when I logged into workspace ES2, I got the login screen. But displays the error when I'm trying to login "An error occurred while initializing workspace"

I used the LiveCycle ES installation CD that I got from Adobe MAX in last october. And it is a fresh installation which is expected to run for 60 days atleast without license issues. Is there a way to configure the trial version license credential to get this activated? Adobe support maynot answer these queries since I'm using a tiral version.

i am using office2007 with windows7 premium home edition. i have checked file associations., all DDE settings. i have even tried this in safe mode. the same thing happens. please note once i see the error. i can then go back to the file click on
it a second time and it WILL open. AND i can open any file if i open excel and and find the file from there. i uninstalled and re-installed office 2007 from scratch. And i checked the compatibility mode (all un-checked) still the problem persisits. this is

Have you try to un-select the Ignore other applications that use Dynamic Data Exchange (DDE) setting?
Click the Microsoft Office Button, and then click Excel Options.
Click Advanced, and then click to clear the Ignore other applications that use Dynamic Data Exchange (DDE)
check box in the General area.
Click OK.
If the problem cannot resolve, the Run as administrator may selected.
Go to Office default install location: C:\Program Files\Microsoft Office\Office12.
Right-click EXCEL.EXE > Properties >
Compatibility tab.
Under Privilege Level, uncheck Run this program as an administrator
check box.

Write permissions issues / lots of "ACL found but not expected" errors / hardware failure? on brand new Mac Mini (still within warranty). OSX Mavericks 10.9.1.

My situation:
I bought a 2012 Mac Mini 2.6 Ghz Intel Core i7 from the online Apple store. It came with Mavericks 10.9.1 pre-installed and was delivered two days ago (I know, the mini update is evident but I needed the machine).
I noticed that I had to enter my password every time I created, moved or deleted a folder. I did not think much of it.
I did, however, think much of not being able to install files from certain developers. I received the "The installer is damaged" notification as shown in this topic: https://discussions.apple.com/thread/5541793
This screenshot is someone elses, I tried to install audio software.
Based on that error, I contacted the developer of the software. But then I noticed that I got the same error for other developers too.
I tried the solution that the topic starter marked as solving his issue in https://discussions.apple.com/thread/5541793. It involves booting in OSX Recovery (command+R) and excecuting the 'resetpassword' command. That did not work for me. It also looks like my password data isn't stored as I do not see the 'obfuscated' password dots that the screenshot shows in that topic, even when I entered and saved it multiple times -- but I'm not sure if that is part of the main issue (which I'm gettting to).
I also made sure gatekeeper allows applications to be installed from unidentified developers, as shown here: http://www.instantteamspeak.com/static/en/img/mac-gatekeeper-anywhere.png That didn't help either.
Next I opened up Disk Utility and ran a check on write permissions. That got me worried.
The check ran for a long time, spitting out "ACL found but not expected" errors.
I proceeded to restore write permissions. That took 20-25 minutes.
Once it finished I checked write permissions again. An equal amount of permissions needed to be restored! It's as if Mavericks didn't remember anything it did.
The good news is that I could now install the files I previously couldn't, but the fact that I've restored write permissions three times now, and each time it seems as if nothing of that is remembered, has gotten me worried.

I then checked the hard disk and the partition above it. The Macintosh HD gave me the green 'ok' light, but something weird happened when I checked the partition on the level above it. The point is to demonstrate how long it takes).

I regret that you're having trouble setting up your email, corbad! You're on the right track with your incoming email address. You might also try incoming.verizon.net or incoming.yahoo.verizon.net as possible alternatives, and 995 as the port number. Please let me know how that goes!

Pages simply won't support a table with that many rows. If you need that many, you must use another application.
Perhaps the originator could use a tabbed list rather than a table. That's the only way you will be able to contain a list that long in Pages. You can do the conversion yourself if you open the Word document in LibreOffice, Copy the Table, Paste the Table into Numbers, Export the Numbers doc to CSV, and import to Pages. In Pages Find and Replace the Commas with Tabs.
There are probably other ways, but that's what comes to mind here.
