Invalid Binary Upload to iTunes Connect

Dear iTunes Support,
We've already uploaded to iTunes Connect to mobile applications using the 64bit architecture.
In the upload process we accept the status error "Invalid Binary" with no further notice from Apple.
Kindly information what should we do to fix the error "Invalid Binary" This
Thank You,

I spent one full day on it and my app is now "Waiting For Review"
I hope this can help you :
Flash builder 4.6
Air 3.7
I did 3 things, don't know which one it the correct:
1) Add this to your MySplashScreen.mxml
<s:SplashScreenImageSource dpi="320" minResolution="1096" source="@Embed(source='../assets/[email protected]')" />
2) Add png to root level (I thing this is the right step)  :
3) Add png with different name to asset folder (don't know why, I really don't think that is the trick but.... I'm not sure so.)
I hope this can help you !
Best,
Pierre

  • Invalid Binary error in iTunes Connect

Hi, I tried to upload an app to itunes connect and I get a message saying "Invalid Binary". I also get the following email from Apple:
    Dear developer,
We have discovered one or more issues with your recent delivery for "AppName". To process your delivery, the following issues must be corrected:
Invalid Signature - the main app bundle AppName at path AppName.app is signed but the signature is invalid. The following error(s) were reported from codesign:
a sealed resource is missing or invalid
Refer to the Code Signing and Application Sandboxing Guide and Technical Note 2206 for more information.
Once these issues have been corrected, you can then redeliver the corrected binary.
    Regards,
    The App Store team
    Please help!

I'm having the same problem even though I was able to archive, validate and submit my app within XCode. The only hint they gave in the rejection email is that the Installer cert might not be selected - but it was selected so I don't know what I can do. :/

  • Invalid Binary In New iTunes Connect

    Hi,
I am facing issue of Invalid Binary when I upload it to the iTunes Connects.
Major issue is Apple is not providing detailed description about Invalid Binary.
I uploaded it from Xcode 5.1.1 with successfully validate message & without any warning.
I am not understand what is the issue. Can any body please help me?
I have wasted my 2 days on it.

    Same problem here.
Through what channel/form/webpage etc are you folks trying to reach out to developer support about this? I honestly can't find what looks like an appropriate channel for this sort of support at all. The Contact Us page on iTunes Connect isn't a contact page at all, but a drill-down through some predefined FAQs (none of which of course matches "Help my binary is in some strange purgatory and I can't submit apps for review anymore"). There really should be an easier way to let them know there's a problem like this.

  • Invalid binary after uploading to iTunes Connect

         Hello,
I have an app which was rejected (iCloud related problem). Got the issue fixed and now when I'm trying to
re-submit it. I got it uploaded to iTunes Connect but aferwars the status of the build is 'Invalid Binary'.
A strange thing is that I should receive an email with some explanation of the problems but I got none.
This is my first app so everything is new for me: any help will be much appreciated.
         What I tried so far:
         - regenerate provisioning profile
         - made sure the icons are the correct ones
         - made sure to have the correct Launch Images
         - Incremented the Bulid Number to a larger value
         - Build Active Architecture Only set to 'Yes'
I'm using Xcode Version 6.1 (6A1052d). When I upload the app to iTunes via Xcode everything is going ok. Also if I run it directly to my device (iPhone 5C, iOS 8.1) it works without any problems.
         Thank you,
         Liviu

    Hi,
Are these the same tracks that you had identified as not eligible for iCloud. It is possible that they were corrupted when downloaded. Try deleting them and redownload from iTunes Store > purchased.

  • Invalid Binary Error on iTunes although upload validates without error

    Hi,
We are successfully uploading the binary on itunes connect for testing through Test Flight, however, under "Processing" is shows "Invalid Binary".
What could be the cause? We have done nothing different than what we did to upload earlier builds which became available.

  • Change file after upload to iTunes connect (iPhone)

    Hi,
Yesterday I submitted an app to the app store through iTunes Connect. Now I have been incredibly stupid that I accidentaly uploaded the wrong file (a previous build with a huge bug in it rendering the app useless). Does anyone have a suggestion how to correct this? I couldn't delete the file anymore right after submitting. Is there a way to withdraw without having to wait till Apple has a chance to review the app and reject it?
Any help would be greatly appreciated!

If this was a new submission as opposed to an update, I would change the name of the app to something like REJECT ME, and then just create a new app submission with the correct binary.
If it is an update, then all you can do is change the release notes to REJECT ME and email [email protected] and hope for a response.

  • "This bundle is invalid" no upload to iTunes allowed with Air SDK 4.0

    Hello,
it is not possible to deliver to the iTunes anymore.
I just updated my Sudoku game including Russian and Chinese language support and compiled it using the most recent Adobe Air SDK 4.0
When uploading to iTunes with the application loader it says:
"This bundle is invalid. Apple is not currently accepting application built with this version of the SDK".
Testing locally on the devices works nonetheless.
    What can I do now?
    Best,
    Henning

I had the same issue, and using the AIR SDK 4.0 build 4.0.0.1619 from :
    http://labsdownload.adobe.com/pub/labs/flashruntimes/air/air4-0_sdk_win.zip
works for me (or to be specific, at least I was able to submit it to the app store without the "This bundle is invalid. Apple is not currently accepting applications built with this version of the sdk" message.  Dev environment is:
Windows machine, swf created on Flash Pro CS5.5
Windows machine, packaged swf for iOS with SDK 4.0 using commandline arguments on Windows
xferred to Mac, unzipped, rezipped payload app, then uploaded to iTunes using Application Loader 2.9 (439)

  • Invalid binary: Mac App Store

    Hello all,
I try to submit an application to the Mac App Store, I can get it pass the validation stage within xcode, but I keep getting "invalid binary" on my Itunes connect page... It seems not related to certificate error.
Here is the error displayed in my received email from Apple:
Files Only Readable By The Root User - The installer package includes files that are only readable by the root user. This will prevent verification of the application's code signature when your app is run. Ensure that non-root users can read the files in your app.
I tried to open the api file and the archive one, and set all the directory and their content to "read / write" permission using the finder, but it didn't work.
    Cheers...

I reply myself since I could manage to submit the application. I just started a new empty project and draged and droped the previous files contained in the older project, which seems to have been created with an older version of Xcode, i'm currently using the 4.0.2. Everything worked well... And I still don't understand why there was a problem.
Beware of the old xcode project files...

  • IOS app submission Invalid binary

I'm trying to submit an app to the AppStore and I get "Invalid binary" error from iTunes Connect
" iPhone 5 Optimization Requirement - Your binary is not optimized for iPhone 5. As of May 1, all new iPhone apps and app updates submitted must support the 4-inch display on iPhone 5. All apps must include a launch image with the -568h size modifier immediately following the <basename> portion of the launch image's filename. Launch images must be PNG files and located at the top-level of your bundle, or provided within each .lproj folder if you localize your launch images. Learn more about iPhone 5 support and app launch images by reviewing the iOS Human Interface Guidelines and iOS App Programming Guide.
Invalid Launch Image - Your app contains a launch image with a size modifier that is only supported for apps built with the iOS 6.0 SDK or later. "
    UILaunchImageFile is set to Default
I included a Default.png, [email protected], [email protected], and Default-ipad.png at the correct size.
I also compile using iOS SDK 6.1, and target iOS 3.0
I'm using XCode 3.2.6 because my old Mac Mini can't boot Lion, so I have to stick with Snow Leopard. (and the latest XCode won't work on Snow Leopard)
Why does I get these errors while I included the correct image name and compiling with the latest SDK ?

    You're using ancient technology.
iOS app development doesn't stand still.
Improvements mean greater resource utilization, ergo the need for more up to date hardware/software.
Nobody is forcing you to do anything.
You make an economic comparison of upgrading or not and then decide if it's worth it.

  • Invalid Binary - no email, no help, no idea what to do...

    Hello All,
We are having a problem getting our app upload to be accepted, and it is dragging on for weeks, and we're very frustrated.
The application is actually a PhoneGap developed application, and has a published instance on Windows and Android stores.
At first we had problems uploading the application at all, because PhoneGap had not prepared the icons and images correctly, so these issues were all addressed and hand crafted into the package.
We have now got the files uploaded but iTunes Connect keeps saying Invalid Binary.
No emails are being received by us, and no other information is being presented to us, so we have almost zero hope of knowing what is wrong.
We've worked through all of the other posts we could find, and the ones we could make sense of have not helped.
What information can I share to have any of you lovely people help me?

    This is an Apple Forum.
I didn't see anything that said it was exclusive to Obejctive-C.
And you can use PhoneGap with Xcode.
So this is an appropriate forum to ask about problems submitting an app to APPLE, using APPLE tools, where APPLE have raised an error which is ambiguous and totally unhelpful, after APPLE application loader did not raise any issues, and NOT performing as per APPLE's own documentation i.e. no email.
PhoneGap is not Apple. In a user-to-user support forum like this, you are limited by what other people have experience with. I don't know of anyone here who has any experience with PhoneGap. If you are looking for a place where there are people who can help with PhoneGap, you have to go to a PhoneGap support forum.
We have also spent weeks googling for options and have found plenty of people with similar problems who haven't even used Phonegap.
There is no such thing as a "similar problem". There are many reasons why you could have an invalid binary. Xcode will tell you if there is a problem when you attempt to submit.
To restate our problem - We have an issue with iTunes Connect showing an Invalid Binary - but have had no email, so have no idea what the issue is. We have used Apple's application loader, which showed no issues, which was after following Apple's documentation on how to upload an app.
Things aren't like they used to be. You can't just say X is Apple's tool and it should work. Half of Apple's tools don't work. You have a dependency on PhoneGap. That means you have to use Application Loader. No one other than PhoneGap people have any idea how to use Application Loader. Apple recently did a huge update on iTunes Connect and lots of things were broken. Maybe you are using some ancient, 3 month-old version of PhoneGap/Application Loader that doesn't work anymore. No way for us to tell.
This is a social problem, not a technical one. You have to pick your camp. Apple prefers Xcode so Apple is going to ensure that Xcode works properly. If they break it, and they do on a regular basis, they will have it fixed in a few days or a few weeks. They won't get around to fixing Application Loader until later. It is not a priority for them.
I mean this genuinely - if your response to anyone's post is going to be "not our problem, go somewhere else", maybe you should just not bother.
It is 2015 in a world of crowd-sourced, do-it-yourself development and support. One of the most important skills to have is knowing where to go for help. If someone tells you to go elsewhere, it doesn't mean they are being jerks. It means they don't know and you should go elsewhere. You aren't going to get a traditional level of support from any company, including Apple, anymore. Back in the day, you could pay $500 a year for e-mail support and maybe $5000/year for phone support. How much do you pay Apple now? How much do you pay PhoneGap? How much do you pay us? Scale your support expectations appropriately.

  • ITunes Connect Warning

I'm getting this error when I upload to itunes Connect
Neither CFBundleVersion ['3.3.0.9.88049'] nor CFBundleShortVersionString ['1.0.8'] in the Info.plist match the version of the app set in iTunes Connect ['1.0'].
    any ideas?

  • ITunes Connect status of Created

I uploaded my app to iTunes Connect using AppBuilder within Visual Studio.  The App Builder client gives me an error "An error occurred while processing the http request for the webDAV uploaded".
When I look at the app in iTunes Connect under the Prerelease tab the uploaded app is listed under "Processing" with a status of "Created".  This app has been successfully uploaded to iTunes Connect four times over the month.
    Any ideas would be helpful.

    Any further comments?

  • Invalid Binary - Invalid Signature error

    Hello,
I keep getting this email everytime I try to upload on iTunes Connect:
I got the right cerficate and I am pointing to the right cerificate too on the Code Signing part of the Build Settings.
Do you guys have any ideas?  I have tried 20+ times I'm very very lost
    Thanks,
    Potsy

OK, this is what I got.
Thank you for contacting the Apple Developer Connection regarding the issues you've
experienced when attempting to upload your app to the App Store via iTunes Connect.
We ask that you please use the following troubleshooting information to assist in re-attempting your upload:
Your Info.plist must list your icon file with the proper .png extension. If your
file is listed as .tiff, please update to .png
Ensure that your icon file is the correct file size. The large Icon should be 512x512 and the
    small icon should be 57x57
Ensure that you have a valid bundle identifier
Detailed informaiton regarding the Upload page and uploading applications via iTunes Connect
can be found in the iTunes Connect User Guide which is posted on the iTunes Connect site.
If you continue to experience an issue wtih your upload, we ask that you please let us know so that we may further assist you. We would ask that you include the specific name of your application in your response to expedite this process.
I concern about "valid bundle identifier" and my info.plist shows
    com.mycompany.${PRODUCT_NAME:identifier}
but this value never changed since I uploaded the first version.

  • Watch App: Validates/Uploads fine in Xcode, invalid binary in iTunes Connect

    Hello World:
Now that WatchKit apps are being accepted, I'm eager to submit. The binary validated and uploaded without error using the Xcode Version 6.2 (6C131e).
However, in iTunes Connect, it's marked as an Invalid Binary:
Can some kind soul give me some guidance? I can't find any way to figure out what would make it an invalid binary, especially since it passed validation as part of the submission process.
    Many thanks in advance,
    John

    Hello World:
Eventually I was able to solve my problem: it was an issue of one of the app icons having an alpha channel which it shouldn't have. The automated email that went out from [email protected] got marked as spam by gmail so I never saw it.
I'm now going to file a Radar so that you can see this data in iTunes Connect.
    Best,
    John
