    See this guide for setting up ADS:
    [http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw70/helpdata/EN/b5/3df4614c60469b93f277b55b7809cc/frameset.htm]
    But I doubt it will work, because you need a dual-stack server (with Java).

  • Invalid http response: HTTP/1.1 200

    Hi gurus!
    I have a problem with an asynchronous interface.
    We are calling a Webservice which we don't need any response. In sxmb_moni it's OK, but in our RWB we see it as failed, with this entry:  invalid http response: HTTP/1.1 200.
    I have search in logs, and in defaultTrace_00.0.trc we can see the following entry:
    Marked transaction for rollback for meesage 4b4ed19f-bbe6-0062-e100-8000ac1f041d(INBOUND). Reason: java.io.IOException: invalid http response: HTTP/1.1 200
    We have captured the HTTP header response, and is:
    HTTP/1.1 200
    Date: Thu, 14 Jan 2010 10:26:03 CET
    Server: Mule/1.2
    Connection: close
    Expires: Thu, 14 Jan 2010 10:26:03 CET
    Content-Type: text/xml
    Content-Length: 508
    X-MULE_CORRELATION_ID: d595447a-00ee-11df-a6a5-becd407b7daa
    X-MULE_CORRELATION_GROUP_SIZE: 3
    X-MULE_CORRELATION_SEQUENCE: -1
    Could it be problem of the X-MULE_CORRELATION headers? Or Maybe PI needs an HTTP/1.1 200 OK?
    Thak you!!!!

    Hi Ignasi,
    I personally donu2019t think you will have much luck getting XI to accept this response since itu2019s not an XI issue.  Itu2019s true that the client (XI in this case) is not required to examine or display the reason-phrase, but that statement doesnu2019t negate the requirement on the server to provide it.  The client has the option to look at it or not, but the server must still provide it either way.
    I didn't notice the http header before, but the server you are connecting to is actually Mule version 1.2.  This release dates back to 2005.  I ran a quick test and reproduced the issue using Mule 1.2 (hello-http sample).  This may not be the same exact issue, but I did observe the same issue with the missing reason-phrase.  The issue is fixed in the Mule 1.3 release.
    Perhaps they can request a patch for 1.2.  This may not be possible since they are working on the Mule 3.0 version now, but I really donu2019t know.  Itu2019s literally one line of code.   I made one small change and was able to get the hello-http sample working (code is open source):
    Class: org.mule.providers.http.transformers.UMOMessageToHttpResponse
    From this:
    httpMessage.append(status).append(HttpConstants.CRLF);
    To this:
    httpMessage.append(status).append(" ").append(org.apache.commons.httpclient.HttpStatus.getStatusText(status)).append(HttpConstants.CRLF);
    org.apache.commons.httpclient.HttpStatus.getStatusText is the method they are using in 1.3 to resolve the reason-phrase using the status code.
    Thanks,

  • Why the err Invalid database Connection -CR 11 version in Visual studio 1.1

    Hai all,
    I am new to using the Crystal report with Visual studio 2003.I am facing Invalid database connection problem. My objective is tyring to upgrade CR 8 to CR11 with VS 1.1 framework(VC++ in .NET 2003).All things like ODBC connection with MS SQL server 2005,generating report going fine with CR8 version  but invalid database connection error comes with CR11 version. The configuration details and Code snippet are below for your ref,
    Upgrading CR8 to CR11 with VS .NET 2003.
    Application framework - VS 1.1 framework
    CR                            - 11 Version
    DB                            - MS SQL server 2005
    Connection                - ODBC
    DLL                          - CRPE32 DLL (Version11)
    Code snippet:
    CODBCDatabase * pDatabase = pApp->GetDatabase();
    BOOL bRes;
    bRes = ::PELogOnSQLServerWithPrivateInfo(_T("pdsodbc.DLL"), pDatabase->m_hdbc);
    Note: pdsodbc dll not found in local and anywhere.But it supports CR 8 but not CR 11.So i downloaded and put it in appropriate place exe path\system32\system and tested.Used and tested p2sodbc dll also but "Invalid DataBase connection" err came.Followed some instruction like changing the Data source name,DSN path,re installing CR 11 version and all but same problem coming.
    ::PELogOnSQLServerWithPrivateInfo() declation is in the following link

    Thanks for your reply
       The API i have given is not available in Crystal report 11.So i tried with the PELogonServer API of version 11.It also failed.
      I am unable to understand the suggestions you gave to me 1) The Report Designer Component (RDC)
    2) The CR Assemblies for .NET.
    Can you give any link that have related samples or articles to implement the above topics please?
    Thanks again,

    Hi Rajendra,
    The same issue I am also facing in production system.
    In my case the all the requests are failing after an IIS7.5  upgrade of the Application in production.
    The strange thing is that except SAP rest all the applications are able to submit requests and getting proper response also.
    We are using a https communication and private key certificate authentication in SAP PI.
    Does it look like a PI issue or IIS upgrade  is causing some issue.
    Please suggest.

  • "Invalid CMS Connection" Error during DS 4.2 SP2 Installation

    Hi Everybody,
      Can anyone shed the light on the following dead end issue we are facing during Data Service 4.2 SP 2 Add On the EXISTING BOBI 4.1 SP2
      ( compatibility is confirmed by SAP through OSS Incident).
      Environment :
      Existing  Distributed Architecture of BOBI 4.1 SP 2 i..e CMS DB Oracle on One Host and BOBI 4.2 SP2 on Another Host
      Adding :  Data Services 4.2 SP2 on Separate Host
      OS :  Linux RED HAT 6.3 (VMware)
      At the initial Information Gathering Phase of   Data Services Installation I  face the following issue at the section of  " Enter CMS Name " :
       - We entered Physical / Virtual server name   with and without FQDN  i.e. Current CMS Host
       - Next is Admin and Password  i.e. Administrator and Password of Existing CMS
    We get the following System Response / Error :
    Invalid CMS Connection Information.
    Installer could not detect a running Data Services Administrator Service with
    the specified CMS connection information.
    and no valid local SIA node was found.
    Installer can not continue.
    Please fix this problem by:
    1. Making sure a Data Services Administrator Service is up and running with the specified CMS;
    2. or creating a valid local SIA node to point to the specified CMS.
      It seems this is Known Issue and I  see two notes :
    1837296 - ERROR: No valid local SIA nodes exist for the given CMS connection information - Data Services 4.x
                       - Not applicable as this is for IPS based installation
    1682686 - Cannot connect to the CMS during installation of Data Services or Information Steward
                       - This note suggests to enter the TEMP variable pointing to location of Log Files Storing the Installation Logs
                          accordingly we did set " export TEMP=/usr/sap/<SID>/BOBI  "  as Temp variable but same error persists with the same message !!
                       - This note says valid for " DS 4.1 "
                             ..seems SAP Fall behind with the Rapid Frequency of  DS Releases and even in this note there's extremely brief so called solution
                             ...Defining TEMP should solve this issue in this case as per the note but, it is not solving issue at all !!
    In addition to define TEMP Variable to resolve this, following verification, further attempts are made to fix it :
    #1. I am able to ping from Data Services Host to CMS Host and there's no Firewall blocking this connection
    #2. Using IP in place of  Host Name ( FQDN or without FQDN ) does NOT resolve
    #3. With Administrator / Password mentioned - log in is possible
    #4. Added entries in /etc/hosts of CMS Host and in DS Host ( cross entries )
    #5  There's a Thread -
                  http://scn.sap.com/thread/3469916 -- and as per that following sap note 1682686 resolves this specific issue but, in our case it does not !
    In short : as of now we are at dead end  !!
    Pl. share your knowledge, inputs - Thanks.
    Thanks,
    Regards,
    - Ishan

    DS_AdminService_Installed=false
    RETURN_CODE=2
    //verify dataservices installation end
    ====================================================================
    It is puzzling that without the completion of Data Services Installation why the DS Installer is expecting ' DS.Admin services " running on 'client' ...this is an extension or add on of Data Services (to be installed on separated linux host) and communication is supposed to be from DS Host to CMS Host !! Where is the scope of client here ??
    We do see that connection to CMS Host is possible ..I found few more notes related to this ( not for the identical OS+DB+DS ver. i.e. Linux+Oracle+DS 4.2 SP2)  e.g. 1824068, 1632561 but, none of it helps to resolve the issue.
    Thanks,

  • HTTP Connection issue in N8

    Hello Friends,
    I have create J2ME application using LWUIT.
    I am facing internet issue in that device.
    Scenario :
    Launch the application -> request to server using HTTP, working fine.
    Minimize application, change mobile profile from GENERAL to OFFLINE mode.
    keep in offline mode for 2 min.
    Again change from OFFLINE to GENERAL mode.
    open the minimize application.
    again try to do same http request.
    Now here I am facing issue, in http response, I am getting as :
    "Invalid http response, http version mismath."
    This issue is coming on only Nokia N8, I have tested on other device also and it is not giving same issue.
    My code is like:
     [code]
    public static synchronized String sendRequest(String url, String request, Vexx vexx) throws IOException {
    HttpConnection connection = null;
    InputStream in = null;
    OutputStream out = null;
    String response = "";
    long len;
    try {
    connection = (HttpConnection) Connector.open(url, Connector.READ_WRITE);
    connection.setRequestProperty("User-Agent", System.getProperty("microedition.platform"));
    connection.setRequestProperty("HTTP-Version", "HTTP/1.1");
    connection.setRequestMethod(HttpConnection.POST);
    connection.setRequestProperty("Content-Type", "application/vnd.syncml+xml");
    connection.setRequestProperty("Content-Language", "en-US"); connection.setRequestProperty("Content-Length",String.valueOf(request.length()));
    out = connection.openOutputStream();
    out.write(request.getBytes());
    out.close();
    in = connection.openInputStream();
    len = connection.getLength();
    if (len < 0) {
    ByteArrayOutputStream bytestream = new ByteArrayOutputStream();
    int ch;
    while ((ch = in.read()) != -1) {
    bytestream.write(ch);
    response = new String(bytestream.toByteArray());
    bytestream.close();
    } else {
    DataInputStream data_in = new DataInputStream(in);
    byte[] response_data = new byte[(int) len];
    data_in.readFully(response_data);
    data_in.close();
    in.close();
    data_in = null;
    AppConstants.LOG +="11";
    response = new String(response_data);
    AppConstants.LOG +="response: " + response;
    } catch (Exception ex) {
    AppConstants.LOG += "EXC = " + ex.getMessage();
    } finally {
    try {
    in = null;
    out = null;
    if (connection != null) {
    connection.close();
    connection = null;
    } catch (Exception e) {
    return response;
     [code]
    In above code, when it connects first time, there is no issue, but on second time, it give error on line: in = connection.openInputStream();
    I have create one new application for testing purpose as well, using J2ME API, in that I have just call connection class as same above on command, and try same scenario:
    install -> test -> working fine.
    change profile from general to offline and again offline to general -> and test again.
    Working fine.
    After that I have also use LWUIT4IO package for connection in LWUIT application.
    In that also I am facing same issue. "Invalid http version...."
    Please help me to solve ASAP.

    you can re-open the connection after reading a response - here is one way to do a self-replicating request -
    function newRequest(): HttpRequest {
        return HttpRequest {
            location: "http:...";
            onInput: function(is: java.io.InputStream) {
                try {
                    // ... read response from input stream and then spawn a new request
                    newRequest().enqueue();
                } finally {
                    is.close();
    newRequest().enqueue();

  • Making https: connection from java code loaded into Oracle 8i database

    A bit of a blast from the past, really, as 8i provides a JVM at 1.2.2.
    I need to provide an PL/SQL function which accesses a RESTful web service requiring https connection. Got the call working under 1.2 locally without much trouble using:
    static {
            System.setProperty("java.protocol.handler.pkgs",
                    "com.sun.net.ssl.internal.www.protocol");
            Security.addProvider(new com.sun.net.ssl.internal.ssl.Provider());
        }The trick is to get the Oracle database to run the code internally. What libraries do I need where? I get an extremely unhelpful NoClassDefFoundError, without mention of the offending class.
    By doing loadjava with jcert.jar,. jnet.jar and jsse.jar (the libraries I'm using with the test program) I can get loadjava to accept and allegedly resolve the class.

    endasil wrote:
    malcolmmc wrote:
    Well, sadly look at the colour scheme.Yeah, sarcastic was I. The NoClassDef error seriously doesn't give a class name? I find it astonishing that any implementation would be that stupid.Seriously. The strange thing is that before I got to the NoClassDefFound I had a Initialization error (until I added a security rule for setting the Provider) and for that I got a full stack trace (in an obscure trace file, granted).

    I try to write a java application using the similar code and it totally works fine(i can connect to the server and obtain the page). Does JSSE support Java Servlet? Or this is the problem of tomcat server? FYI, I'm using

    I was just having this issue, after months of error-free ssl behavior, on a new machine i was installing (Note: that I was running the IBM jdk1.3) It turns out that when I was editing the java.security file to know about JCE/JSSE providers i had the providers in the wrong order. The Error causing sequence was:
    security.provider.1=com.sun.net.ssl.internal.ssl.Provider
    security.provider.2=com.ibm.crypto.provider.IBMJCA
    # Extra provider added ibm@33894
    security.provider.3=com.ibm.crypto.provider.IBMJCE
    # extra provider i added
    security.provider.4=sun.security.provider.Sun
    The issue disappeared when i changed the order to:
    security.provider.1=sun.security.provider.Sun
    security.provider.2=com.sun.net.ssl.internal.ssl.Provider
    security.provider.3=com.ibm.crypto.provider.IBMJCA

  • HTTPS connection from servlet to another webserver

    Hi,
    We want to make a https connection from a servlet in weblogic server to another
    web server (not necessarily weblogic). We also need dual authentication. But whenever
    we use URL.openConnection(), it always returns us weblogic's internal https and

    Yeah, I'm using JSSE now. Here is what I did:
    Security.addProvider(new com.sun.net.ssl.internal.ssl.Provide());
    Provider prov = new SimpleSecureProvider();
    prov.setProperty("SecureRandom.efficient", "test.EfficientSecureRandom");
    Security.insertProviderAt(prov, 1);
    You don't really need the provider stuff to get the example working. I use it
    to get around a quick in JSSE where the random number generator takes 15-30 seconds
    to generate a random sequence at start up.
    SimpleSecureProvider looks like this:
    public class SimpleSecureProvider extends Provider
    public SimpleSecureProvider()
    super("SimpleSecureProvider-", 1.0, "Hack to enable more efficient random
    seed generator");
    test.EfficientSecureRandom is bascially an exact copy of Sun's SecureRandom.java
    with the only difference that I used my own random number generator.
    Anyway, rest of the code you need looks like this:
    URL url= new URL("htps://someplace.com");
    URLConnection sconnection = url.openConnection();
    Do whatever.
    I also stored jcert.jar, jnet.jar, jsse.jar in /usr/java/jdk1.3/lib/ext
    I think that is everything.
    I just noticed that service pack 9 has a security example that does not require
    all these jsse hacks. I'm trying to get it to work, but not having much luck.
    Anybody got this working right?

    See if this works,
    1. Add the 'j2ee.jar' to CALSSPATH in weblogic startup script.
    2. Set the property SSLHandlerEnabled flase in config.xml
    3. Add the following property permission to the
    weblogic.policy' file under a 'grant' directive
    for all codebases (bottom): 'permission java.security.AllPermission'
    4. Use the following bit of source code to create an https connection:
    import com.sun.net.ssl.*; ....
    com.sun.net.ssl.HttpsURLConnection connection;
    System.setProperty ("java.protocol.handler.pkgs",
    "com.sun.net.ssl.internal.www.protocol");
    java.security.Security.addProvider(new
    com.sun.net.ssl.internal.ssl.Provider() );
    URL url = new URL( "https", hostname, query );

    connection = (com.sun.net.ssl.HttpsURLConnection )url.openConnection(

    Hi,
    We want to make a https connection from a servlet in weblogic serverto
    another
    web server (not necessarily weblogic). We also need dual authentication.But whenever
    we use URL.openConnection(), it always returns us weblogic's internalhttps and
    SSL implementation. Since weblogic has no documentation about how
    to
    use
    these
    internal classes, such as how to set trusted server certificate, andhow
    to set
    client certificate (servlet is a client of another web server). Wewant to
    use
    jsse, after setting JSSE required system properties, I still get aweblogic's
    httpsURLConnection. Can any of you tell me how to resolve this issue?
    Thanks.

  • HTTPS connection from database

    Hi all,
    I have to implement https connection from a database with a Web server which requests a client certificate. I have the certificate in the wallet, but UTL_HTTP does not send it to the Web server.
    So, is there any way to connect to a Web server which requires a client certificate?

    Could you explain how transport protocol influences certificate exchange during SSL session?
