Invalid object /produres/funtions/triggers/Views/synonyms/

Can any body forward me the SQL/PLSQL command to check Invalid object /produres/funtions/triggers/Views/synonyms/ and any other invalid object in the db, & what is recommended to deal with that invalid objects. Either i should recompile /Rebuild / Or delete it .
& How i can do all this work in EM DB control?
Need help.

I would not worry much about invalid objects since Oracle will take care of it on next invocation.Up to a point. Oracle will recompile them if they are inmvoked locally. This does not work if they are invoked remotely (say from a distributed transaction or a clinet/server application).
Also I think it pays to be curious. Why are these objects invalid? At the vey least it suggests to me that soembody has done a release without checking that the database is in a valid state. There is also the possiblility that the objects are in an invalid state because they won't compile. Now that's something we want to know now rather than when some user calls to complain that the application won't work.
In short, accepting the presence of invalid objects in the database because Oracle will compile them when it next needs them is just living with broken windows, and that's bad practice.

    Hello,
    I install Oracle 8.1.7 (MDK 7.2 or

    What is wrong ?

    Hi ,
    You got some invalid objects because all those views or packages have been not compiled . The reason may one of the standard packages used by this package may not have been compiled .Kindly check the log files created during the installation .

  • Help with a Invalid Object

    Hello!
    I have here 6 invalid objects, but 5 are view's and olny this is a procedure that i dont now where i put the INTO that the oracle say me. Somebody can help me?

    i allready tryed so many options, but without solution.
    Thanks!

    When I see this error... I could assume that the select statement is inside a PL/SQL block.
    And you might need these columns into the variables. If you have declared the variables, make an "INTO" into those from these columns you are selecting.
    example:
    declare
    num number;
    begin
    select 1 into num from dual;
    dbms_output.put_line(num);
    end;

    I found the below explanation for the error mentioned. Check if your package name, Object names confirm to the standard specified
    JBO-25005: InvalidObjNameException
    Cause: An attempt has been made to associate a business component name with an object for which it is not valid.

  • "Invalid Metadata Objects" when creating materialized views

    Hi experts,
    I have run into some trouble. I had an analytic workspace that grew too fast (see 11.2.0.2 AW size grows steadily with every cube build so I deleted it and created a new one.
    It seemed to build fine using the tip that David Greenfield gave us in the mentioned forum post, but when I try to enable materialized views (which I had enabled in the previous workspace) I'm gettig the following error:
    Your metadata changes have been saved, with the following errors

    Running this same script in SQLDeveloper yields the same error at line 17, which is the FROM clause. BUT I can run the SELECT statement by itself and returns the expected result. So the table exists in the correct tablespace.
    I must be missing something big...
    Thanks in advance.
    Joan
    P.S.: In the code above I'm using "TABLESPACE" in substitution for the real username and tablespace name (which is the same) for privacy reasons.

    When you ran the select statement, were you connected as the same user that you used to try to enable the MVs?
    Can you create a standard (non cube) MV with the same select statement? (Connected as the same user you used in AWM.)

    Hi,

    Can I call a custom method deptID() like above, in EmployeesViewImpl class from DepartmentsViewImpl?
    I need to change query based on some condition on page load in real scenario. I used beforePhase() but not giving perfect result.
    What is best way to do this, similar to above case. However, providing plain value giving no error.

    Hi!
    This doesn't work that way:
    DepartmentsViewImpl deptImpl = new DepartmentsViewImpl();Take a look at ApplicationModule#findViewObject() if your DepartmentsView is already in your data model, executed, and you want to re-use it.
    Otherwise take a look at ApplicationModule#createViewObject().
    Besides that, if you want to execute a VO, then call executeQuery() on it, don't rely on other operations like first() or getAllRowsInRange() to implicitly execute it for you.
    And: Why not use Number all the way through? Why the conversion to int? It will work in that example, since department ID is only NUMBER( 4 ). What if the ID column was a NUMBER( 22 )? int cannot handle that, not even close, so you should not make it a habit to convert to int.

  • Operation hasNext is invalid for a working set view object

    Can someone point me to soem documentation to why I'm getting this error? I'm obviously misunderstanding something fundamental.
    Thanks

    I have an application module with a client method as follows:
    public void setUserCredentials(String username, String password)
    UserAccountViewImpl vo = getUserAccountView1();
    vo.setWhereClauseParam(0, username);
    vo.setWhereClauseParam(1, password);
    vo.executeQuery();
    if (vo.hasNext()) (BREAK POINT TWO)
    vo.next();
    I have a struts action that is based on the BasicADFAction class in the tech paper "Oracle ADF Data Binding Primer and ADF/Struts Overview"
    by Steve Muench.
    public class IsLoginValidAction extends BasicADFAction
    protected ActionForward performActionLogic(ActionMapping mapping,
    ActionForm form, HttpServletRequest request, HttpServletResponse response)
    throws Exception
    .... other code that gets username and password from form
    DatamartModule am = (DatamartModule)getApplicationModule("DatamartModuleDataControl", request);
    am.setUserCredentials(username, password);
    ViewObject vo = am.findViewObject("UserAccountView1");
    if (vo.getCurrentRow() == null) -- BREAK POINT ONE
    ae.add("InvalidDetails", new ActionError("error.IsLoginValidAction.InvalidDetails"));
    return mapping.findForward("LoginError");
    UserAccountViewRowClient vr = (UserAccountViewRowClient)vo.getCurrentRow();
    .... do some other checks with the user account
    As you can see the above Action calls setUserCredentials(). What is driving me mad is the following. If I enter a valid username and password in the login page and reach break point one the method vo.getCurrentRow() returns null which is not what I expect!
    If I re-submit my login details again, when I reach break point one for the second time vo.getCurrentRow() is not null??
    I have also set a break point two just to make sure setUserCredentials is working and it always brings back a row when I enter the correct details. So why in the action when I select the same view object the current row is not available to me but is available the second time round?? I'm I missing something fundamental??
    I had some feedback on metalink where oracle support set check that the vo.isExecuted() == true and if it isn't then re-execute the query. I couldn't see why I should do this but I did. I found that vo.isExecuted is false the first time round but true the second time. It appears the first time round I am implicitly getting the query to execute for the first time even though I believe I have already done this in the setUserCredentials method.
    After adding a vo.executeQuery() I obviously needed to add code that obtained the row. As soon as vo.hasNext() is called I get:

  • Invalid objects in APEX Schemas after import.

    Hi,
    After importing the APEX_040100 user in the database I got several invalid objects that are causing APEX not to work.
    I gave up to compile them. After using all kind of tricks such as compile one schema at a time or compile all of them using the utlprp.sql script
    or using EXEC DBMS_DDL.alter_compile('PACKAGE', 'MY_SCHEMA', 'MY_PACKAGE');
    or one object art a time using command sililar to:

    ALTER PROCEDURE my_procedure COMPILE;
    ALTER FUNCTION my_function COMPILE;
    ALTER TRIGGER my_trigger COMPILE;

    I can't find any documentation to show how to recompile them properly.
    So I am asking:
    1. How can we recompile all objects in APEX?
    2. How can we re-install APEX?
    3. How can we revert to previous version if both have problems?

    Hi,
    After importing the APEX_040100 user in the database I got several invalid objects that are causing APEX not to work.Hi,
    You mean you did export APEX_040100 schema from one database and import it to another database?
    There is also public synonyms and if I recall correct some objects are in SYS schema that belongs to Apex and are needed.

  • INVALID Objects after upgrade from 12.1.1 to 12.1.3

    Hi
    Recently I have applied 9239090, 13984450, 10627841 patches to upgrade from 12.1.1 to 12.1.3, but now there are a number of Invalid objects in the DB.
    I have tried to compile them through 'adadmin' utility, and even ran 'utlirp.sql' with 'utlrp.sql'. Tried bouncing all db, apps tier, apache but they still remains 'Invalid'. What kind of objects are they and whether they will have any impact on apps? How to compile them?
    Any help will be really appreciated. Thanks.
    As a test I tried to compile one object and get the following errors:

    Hi Gents,
    All objects starting with FF have been successfully compiled by the fix pointed out by you. Thanks v much for your help. Much appreciated.
    Now a total of 15 invalid objects are remaining. I could manage to find solution of 14 objects (which I understand can be safely ignored, and highlighted the source of the solution below).
    The only one remaining is this materialized view. I tried to compile it but but did not throw any errors, and still remains under invalid state. Not sure how to go about it. I can confirm that this is not a custom object.

  • Invalid objects showed up after import

    Hello,
    I wanted to migrate a lot of databases to 1 database, where I created schemas for every database. I imported each database to new schema and now I have one database with 30 schemas. When I try to export (full export) database like user "system", export is clear without any warnings, but when I try to import this database to another database a lot of warnings showed up. Warnings like:
    IMP-00061: Warning: Object type "SYSTEM". "Repco $ _OBJECT_NULL_VECTOR" already exists with a different identifier
    IMP-00019: row was rejected because of an error ORACLE 1
    IMP-00003: ORACLE error occurred 1
    ORA-00001: the unique constraints violation (SYSMAN.MGMT_ARU_FAM_PRD_PK)
    import was completed successfully with warnings. I try to recompile invalid objects which were created in this database, a lot of objects recompile ok but a few not

  • Invalid objects and ORA-00600 after deleting XML schema

    I am running Oracle 10.2.0.3 on Solaris 10. I am new to XML DB but my developers requested it for a new application. Recently we have noticed the following issue:
    My developers have attempted to re-register several schemas using:
    DBMS_XMLSchema.deleteSchema(SchemaURL => l_strSchemaURL,
    Delete_Option => DBMS_XMLSchema.Delete_Cascade_Force);
    And then re-register.
    DBMS_XMLSchema.RegisterURI( SchemaURL => l_strSchemaURL,
    SchemaDocURI => l_strImportURL,
    Local => True,
    GenTypes => True,
    GenBean => False,
    GenTables => True,
    Force => False,
    EnableHierarchy => DBMS_XMLSCHEMA.ENABLE_HIERARCHY_RESMETADATA);
    Afterwards I have noticed several invalid objects:

I opened a TAR with oracle but they have not made much headway. Are we attempting to de-register the schemas improperly? Has anyone seen this issue before?
    Thanks,
    Brian

    SR 6204906.993. Up to this point oracle was able to help me identify that the invalid objects were related to the ORA-00600 but it was just recently that it appeared the Issue was possibly related to the delete schema procedure. The informed me that they were not aware of any known issues with this procedure.
    Thanks
