Invalid $ sign in BEX

Hi all.
In my BEX anaylzer (BI7.0; MS Excel 2007) I see invalid $ signs (letters "Lt" in front of amounts in spite $ after amounts):
Should be:  5000 $
I got:          Lt 5000
It is a Excel problem, because on other PC everything fine with it. Does anybody know what's wrong with it?

Thanks for the suggestion Jens.
I was unable to get the Excel Conditional Formatting to refresh with the Bex query.  Despite saving the workbook, I still needed to 'select all' and then activate the conditional formatting after each refresh.
In the end, I used a VB macro to remove the '#' and 'Not assigned' values.  The other topic you suggested was helpful.  Here is my code:
Sub SAPBEXonRefresh(queryID As String, resultArea As Range)
If queryID = "SAPBEXq0001" Then
    resultArea.Select
'Remove '#'
    Selection.Cells.Replace What:="#", Replacement:="", LookAt:=xlWhole, _
       SearchOrder:=xlByRows, MatchCase:=False, MatchByte:=True
'Remove 'Not assigned'
    Selection.Cells.Replace What:="Not assigned", Replacement:="", LookAt:=xlWhole, _
       SearchOrder:=xlByRows, MatchCase:=False, MatchByte:=True
End If
' Set focus back to top of results
resultArea(1, 1).Select
End Sub
Thanks,
Adam

  • SSF error: Invalid signer, Message no. 1S005

    Hello Everyone,
We are in the process of configuring the content server in our customer's landscape.
Post the definition of content repository and the associated storage category,in the CSADMIN section,in the certificates tab, an error that reads SSF error: Invalid signer, Message no. 1S005 is thrown up whenever we attempt to send the certificate.Toggling values of 'Security' and ' Check Signature' fields doesn't help either.
Could anyone shed light on this issue and possible solution?
Note:We have not enabled/configured digital signature strategy and all the previous posts in the forum on this topic are in-conclusive.
    Regards,
    Pradeepkumar Haragoldavar

    Dear Pradeep
The error message "Invalid signer" actually exactly means what the
message text says: the system where the error occurred was unable
to verify the signer of a signed document, most likely because the
related certificate could not be found.
    Please check the following:
    - Does a PSE exist on the signing system for the intended purpose?
(check: communication with a content server) (TA STRUST)
    - Does PSE use a subject name that consists of 7bit ASCII
    characters only?
    - Has the certificate been distributed to the receiving system ?
Which security toolkit do you use (SAPSECULIB or SAPCRYPTOLIB)?
Please check the version of your installed security toolkit (TA STRUST,
menu "Environment > Display SSF Version").
Please also check for any error messages that may occurr at the
    SSF initialization phase (ST11)
if you are using SAPCRYPTOLIB for SSF, please see note 662340

    Hi,
I am facing the same error in OAC0 although the connection to the external Documentum Server is successful as shown by Test Connection.
Can anyone suggest either the possible reasons or a solution to this.
Note: I have tried to tick/untick the "No Signature" box.

  • * sign in bex report

hi, I have to move bex query result into access. I am trying to import it but it give me error because some cells in excel file contain asterik sign * and values are hidden underneath. I can see the values in formula field when i click on asterick in cell. Any Idea how to change these * to original value.
    regards,
    w

This is due to mixing key figures with different units of measure.
Use a nodim function to remove UOM, or, better, put the UOM in the rows, this will split the results according to the UOM.

  • How to avaoid Negetive sign in Bex?

For Key figure 'amount' I am getting negetive values and I dont want to display in the report that negetive sign. How can I avoid this negetive sign.Is there any option in Bex?
    Points will be definitely assigned.
    Thanks,
    Vasu

    Hi Vasu,
In Query Properties, Value Display tab you can control the display of -ve signs. If you don't want to display -ve values, you can choose the option 'In Paranthesis'. This will display the negative values in brackets. For example for - 10, it will show as (10).
This will affect all keyfigures in the Report.
    Regards,
    Hari.

  • % Sign in Bex

    Hi all,
My requirement is to have % sign for the formula. Say for example my BEx output for the formula is 0.9 then i should be able to see 09.%.
How can I do this? Is it even possible?
    Please help.
    Thanks,
    Dave.

Create another Formula Key Figure (FKF2) and use Percentage Share Operator (%A) from the Percentage Functions in that. Hide your current Formula Key Figure (FKF1).
    FKF2 = FKF1 %A 1.

  • BW - Alternative for # (hash/pound)sign in bex query output to Microstrategy

    Hello team,
We have a requirement to display BEx report output to the reporting tool Microstrategy. They are accessing the BEx query as the source. The issue we are facing is :- when there is no value for a characteristic, it displays a # sign in the report. This is the normal behavior of SAP BW. But Microstrategy is not able to access this pound/hash symbol and they want us to display a blank space instead of # sign. I was wondering whether there is any alternative for displaying blank space instead of hash/pound sign???

    Hi Jerry,
Yeah, I think that's the only way to maintain it..
    OR
How do you load data to your MASTERDATA object? You can just include "SPACE" value in the EXCEL file (if your datasource is a FLATFILE) or make a "SPACE" value in the transformation level..

    Loed

  • Positive values in Bex

    HI experts
I would like to show the positve values with + sign in BEx ANALYZER adn WAD also .
Is the any option for this.
    Regards
    Ranganath
Edited by: Ranganath on Jun 30, 2011 1:03 PM

You'll have to add custom programming and formatting to do this. It's easy in Excel, but harder in WAD (and I don't use that, so I cannot answer the question). There's no native option for that in Bex.. mostly because if it does not have a minus in front of it, it can safely be assumed to be positive.
you may want to explain basic math concepts to your user.

  • Revenue figures in Bex, to be displayed as Positive ...

We have developed a Line of business wise Profit & Loss report. In
this ,revenue is shown as -ve. This is shown as -ve, becuase, in SAP,
we always credit revenue and debit customer, which is correct. But to
the actual real world, revenue in reports should display as +ve and
credit notes to be displayed as -ve. It means, that in reports, we have
to display the opposite signs. We tried to use a paramter, "Reverse
sign" in Bex, but it seems that the calculation is getting incorrect. I
think, we have to reverse the sign, when the data is coiming in BI
    cubes from R/3.
what is to be done ?
    thanks
    amit

    Hi,
No need to reverse the sign.
Just write a CKF and write following if condition.
    (Revenue < 0)*(Revenue * (-1))+NOT (Revenue <0)Revenue1
    I hope it will help.
    Thanks,

I'm not really sure it is related to the BBPCRM package, it could be related to SAP WEBCUIF 700 package that had to be applied before BBPCRM SP 2.

I found that the SAP/webcuif services was disabled, if it was the SP that caused it or not, I don't know, but when I enabled it everything started to work!

The above error are also present in the other Process log files.
But when i saw the installation logs of the Source system the same errors are also there(but it was still Sucessfull Standard installation).
there is one difference as well I am SQL SP3 (8.00.780) but existing Production server is SQL SP3(8.00.929).
My installation is stoppoing here with error While executing Script.
I've done Homogenous copy on WiN-ORACLE many times but on WIN-SQL i am doing very first time.
While installation database phase it asked me for EXPORT CD twice first time for standard(which usually we got with SAP Software) and Second time for Migration EXPORT. that is different from ECC5.0 i think.
    Any suggestions?

  • Error in report RSCMST

    Dear Alli
As a part of connecting external content server to SAP. I am implementing SSF on external content server side.
when i test the URL to authenticate the request it gives me invalid signer error.
seems  there is a bug in one of the reports within the test suite RSCMST which results in a signed URL which cannot be verified.
I cross verified this by running report ZRSCMSTUC and got the result as
    "verify:            5 Invalid signer"
this means there is some bug in report RSCMST.
Could anyone please let me know how to get this report rectified
    Thanks
    sandeep

    Hi Harish
Thanks for reply . But these sap notes are not of my use.
SAP report RSCMST has some bug related to signature creation and i want to rectify that.

    anyone know pls help me
    Many thanks

As a general rule, it's a good idea to separate the
presentation (JSP and HTML) from the business rules
(database access). I know you didn't do that on the
AS/400, you had display files and business logic in
the same program (at least, we certainly do in ours),
but it's a good policy to follow in the web world.
That means, don't put your database access code in
the JSP. Other than that, it depends on the data.
If you have simple data (e.g. customer's name and
d address) then a Java bean would suffice. If you
have complex data (e.g. customer's payment history)
then a bean still might suffice. You would use an
"include" if you had some data (static or dynamic)
that you wanted to appear in several different pages
in the same form. Thanks, I figured putting the code in the JSP was not the best way, but I wasn't sure about the other options.
