    Hi,
Please how to make Inventory aging of slow moving items in BI.
    What is the logic?
What are the key fig and characterstics taking into account?
It is any standard report available in BI
    Thanks and Regards

    Hi,
If you are taking about Inventory Stocks then you need to talk about 0IC_C03 Cube , because it will have all teh information for you rrequirement. So check 0IC_C03_Q0021 -- Inventory Aging report on 0IC_C03  Cube. This report is given SAP.
    Else
You can define the Zreport based on your requirement.
Eg: I want to know the ageing of teh Material ...
    1. I'll take Date from Batch (Using Replacement Path Formula variable).
    2. I'll calculate the todays date using Customer Exit variable
    3. Create formula and do substraction i.e. point2 - pont1.
    4. You will get no. of days.
    Thanks

  • Actual item cost for batched items

    Hi everyone,
I'm not entirely sure if there is an easy solution to this, however we have a client where their stock consumption method does not match their stock costing method therefore they can never really get a true stock valuation from SAP.
They currently have their items set to FIFO however they don't always use the oldest stock as its not always feasible to do so.
Due to this, they cannot really find out the age of the items in stock as SAP assumes they use the oldest stock first.  To get around this I've suggested using either serial numbers for big items and batch numbers for the smaller items which will allow them to track when it came in to stock and whether it has gone out or not.  This works well and allows the users to find out the age of the stock.  However, the cost calculated in the journals and posted to cost of sales is picking up the cost from the oldest open layer in the FIFO (OINM) table and not the cost from the layer from the associated batch.
Is there any way we can get the system to pick up the actual cost of the item being dispatched?
If not, we may just have to create a report which looks at all open batches, get the incoming cost and get a stock valuation that way.
    Has anybody faced similar issues?
    Regards,
    Adrian

    Hi Marcella,
    Many thanks for your reply.
I have looked in to both Standard and Moving Average and ran through various scenarios but unfortunately neither is exactly what the client wants and neither allows them to get a true stock valuation by item.  The client would ideally like the actual cost to be posted, but I'm afraid its either the oldest layer, average cost or a standard cost posted.
Some items could possibly be standard as the cost doesn't alter too much, however some item costs vary rapidly dependent upon things such as exchange rates and other market influences.
I think this may have to be done via reports.

  • Setting Inventory Accounts for each Item Grops

    Hi,
1.I want to set the different Inventory Accounts for each goup in "ItemGrops" In ItemMaster.
    how can i set?
    2. in ItemMaster-> Inventory tab->Set G/L Accounts by option
when i select the 'ItemLevel' and update it is showing error like
'"Purchase credit account not defined for this item'"
how can i rectify this error.
    plz help me asap
    Regards,
    Nagababu

    Nagababu,
You have stated that you are trying to Set GL by Item Group.  If you want to set GL by Item Group, I am wondering why you are trying to change the setting in the Item Master area by ....ItemMaster-> Inventory tab->Set G/L Accounts
If you want this setting to be a Global setting for all the Items then you have to set this in <b>Admin > System Initia.. > General Settings > Inventory Tab.... Set G/L Account by</b>
After this... you can set the different G/L Accounts for each Item Group by accessing the Item Groups itself   <b>Admin>Seup>Inventory>Item Groups</b>
For each Item Group in the Accounting tab you can set the different GL Accounts relevant to that Item Group
In case for some items you want the GL's to be different (not based on the Item Group they belong to), then you could go to the Item Master > Inventory tab and change the settings to <b>Item Level</b> and Change the G/L as required.
NOTE: You do not have to specify the G/L Account for each Item individually if you are going to be using Item Groups.

  • Inventory Count for Batch Managed materials - Plant, S.Loc and Batch Wise

    Hi.,
In the company's current scenario, the printing of batch managed materials are scheduled under 3 Job names.
    1. First job determines the materials/batches that need to be created today using Program RM07ICN1
    2. Second Job Processes the BDC Session created by Program RM07ICN1 using Program: RSBDCSUB
    3. Third Job prints the Inventory tickts at the appropriate Storage location using Program: RM07IDRU
Each Job has its own variant.
The Variant for SL.No 1 is defined w.r.t
    i. Material Type : Two Material types have been defined
ii. Under selection variable, GIDAT ( Planned count date and GBDAT are flagged.
    Current Analysis:
    A. The inventory documents get printed with Materials as per the cycle counting indicators defined which govern which material has to be currently counted.
    B. Inventory documents are generated for all materials in all the plants and in all the storage locations
    C. Batches for a material number may print on different cycle count documents throughout the year.
    Customer requirement:
The inventory documents to print on basis of
    1. Material, Plant and S.Loc.
This would help in identifying the batches which are currently being counted as well.
    2. Customers requirement is to ensure that all batches are accounted for and will identify any overage of batches since in the current process, they are never reviewed as a whole.
    QUESTION:
    1. How to configure the Customer requriement.
    2. How to configure the Variant/s, if thats the place the configuration has to be done to satisfy the customer.
    3. How to activate the Variant in SE37 after definition in the Step Indicator. Does it activate on execution?
When i run the Program using SE38 , maintaining options in the Screen ( giving Material, Plant and S.loc), i get the desired list (Batches w.r.t Material,plant.S.Loc). But there is a list of over 150 Batch managed materials and it would not be physically possible to maintain the variant for each each Material, plant,S.loc wise.
Is there a way to configure the customer requirement/s.
Any and all help is much appreciated.
    Thanks

    Hello Mahesh,
<b>Customer requrirement is specific, they want a list of Inventory Documents to be generated on basis of Material in each Plant-S.Loc batch wise.</b>
Then you need to define multiple varinat for the program.
<b>(a) If i am giving two variants in the same Program name RM07ICN1, how to execute one after after in sequence.
In testing, I have defined in the " Step", Progran RM07ICN1 with one variant and Program RM07ICN1 with another Variant. But on execution of Program RM07ICN1 thru SE38, the screen defined latter ( second variant screen data ) is displayed.</b>
You need to define several steps in SM36 transaction for the program using each variant. SE38 you can use only to save your variant data so later you can use this variant in SM36.
Once you schedule the job with SM36 and release it then it will automatically execute this job as per your criteria (timeline)
    Hope this helps.

  • Inventory ageing report for batches

    Hi Experts,
I am looking for a ageing report for batches. MC46 and MC50 is not displaying the batches which is my main requirement. I learnt that its not available in standard SAP. I am planning to develop a Zreport which is a copy/reference of MC46 and MC50.
If you ever come across this situation before, which approach you followed? I appreciate if you throw some thoughts on builiding a query or Zreport or any logics.
    Regards,
    R.S

    Hi Shiva,
Thanks for the information. We are not using SLED for the batches and BMBC is just a **** pit where you can use it as work list when you try to change mass batches. I dont know how BMBC helps in fetching a report for ageing.

  • Report for Inventory Ageing

Our client wants a report for Inventory Ageing. (we are not using batch management)
Use tried to sell Standard report MC46 but they are not convinced with the results.
The issue is if the material is not consumed for last 399 days but today if some movement is there in that particular material, then the material is not shown as non moving. Actually the material was not at all used for last 399 days.
In mc.5 report there are key figures like last consumption, last good issue etc but the same problem is there with it.
We are trying to develop a customised report.
    Please help.
    Thanks in advance.

    Hi,
The Stock Aging Report displays the description of material that are stocked for n-number of periods at particular inventory locations( may be trading plant or manufacturing Plant). The details, which are displayed, are about the aging period for the selected items.
There are reports and T code are
    MC.A ,
    MC.9,
    MM5B,
    MMBE,
    MB5M,
    MC50 - Dead Stock ,
    MC46 - Slow-moving items,
If the above reports not meet your requirement, you should develop your own ABAP program to meet your specific business requirement.
This is define in overall stock on value based, suppose a material is received in Feb-month, same material is received in Jan-2007 , DEC-2007  also. The total value of this inventory is say 90 lakhs, ( 30 lakhs of each month) so  system will show inventory aging as below
stock aging less than 30 days, 90 lakhs
stock aging more than 30 days but below 60 days 60 lakhs
stock ageing more than 60 days but below 90 days 30 lakhs
Assuming that no issue taken place if issue is taken place, it will be deducted by default FIFO method.
You may have to develop an ABAP report.
However, look into the path: information system > logistics > inventory managment > material and explore all like MC.9,MC.A,MC.B & MC.C

There are couple of  Standard Report for Customer Open Items.
RFDOPO00 - List of Customer Open Items.
    RFDSLD00 -  Cutomer Balances
Also there is another standard report....
Run the Tcode 'S_ALR_87012178", that is "Customer open Item analysis by Balance of Over dues".
Copy the Report and make necessary changes.
Modification is always required to get a "good looking" aging report, there is no standard.

  • Specific Identification Cost for batch managed items (Follow-Up from P2P)

Specific Identification Cost method is used for serial and batch managed item. Using this method, the outbound cost of such items would be the original cost of specific goods, which can be determined according to the serial or batch number of that item.
Business One allows the user to receive batch managed items with a batch number that already exists in the DB. It’s possible that the received quantity is added to on-hand quantity in the warehouse. In such case, the quantity on-hand of that batch and the received quantity may have different costs.
What should be the system behavior in such case:
    1. Block receipts to the same batch with different costs.
    2. Write the difference to a price difference account, as done in Standard Cost method.
    3. Manage the batch cost with Moving Average method.
This thread is continuation from 'Specific Identification Cost for batch managed Items' <a href="http://p2p.sap.com/businessoneforum?type=join&login=1&uid=41FB661A76CED536C825C4E2B6FF4397&cid=91&go=z37225">discussion</a> in P2P SAP Business One Forum (Product Development Collaboration).
Previous discussion on P2P is summarized in the attached file.

    Hi Peter,
This is a very important functionality that you are describing here. For example, in the Steel industry, it could be extremely useful to cost by batch or serial number.
If you receive a batch that already exists in the system and if the costing method for the product is moving average, then teh cost of the batch should be calculated based on the moving average as well.
If the costing method is standard, then the cost should go in a variance account.
If the costing method is FIFO, then it is a getting trickier...

  • Line with 0 quantity for main item with batch split

    Hello experts,
I have one line item in delivery. Delivery split is there: There are 1 spilt items with 1 batch nos. The main item category and the batch split item category are TAN.
My system is showing 2 line items in billing, the batch line with quantity and the main line with zero qty. How to prevent this and have only the lines item in invoice with batch/qty. I don´t want to see the main item with o quantity.
In VTFL I have routine for copying requirements 004 and Billing Quantity B. I need to create another copying routine or I need to use another item category for batch lines?
    Thanks in advance
    Pablo

    Hi Pablo,
It is advisable to have a different item category for Batch split items.
If you want the batch split items to suppress and show only the Total in the Invoice. Yes it is possible.
    1) You can do this in the Copy controls in VTFL - Delivery to Billing, go to your Item category and go to Item details - Change the billing Qty to 'G'.
    2) Go to Shipping > Deliveries > Item categories Determination in Deliveries > Define item category.
Go to your item category which is used in Batch Split
Remove the Billing Revelance and make it blank and Save.
Now when you create the Invoice for Batch split - Only the total quantity will be displayed without the subitems - like in Delivery note or Delivery..
Please check and revert back for any more details

  • Goods Issue error - batches not defined for delivery item

    Hi,
We are getting a Goods Issue error  u201CThe batches are not defined for delivery item 000010u201D.   We are only getting this error for a material that is being shipped against a particular third party sales scheduling agreement.  We went live in 2007 and we had no issues, but when we had to create a new Sched Agreement this year, for third party sales, we started to get this error.  However, if we re-activate the old scheduling agreement we do not get the error.  We have a batch job that executes the following steps:
    1.     VL06IG (collective goods receipt)
    2.     VL10 (collective delivery)
    3.     VL06O (collective GI)
We have compared the 2 scheduling agreements and see no difference.  We are assuming it has something to do with how the scheduling agreement was setup, but are not sure.  Any suggestions on how to correct this problem would be much appreciated.
    Thanks in advance,
    Helen

    Dear Murali,
The material has not changed at all.  I'm not sure what you mean by maintaining batches while receipt of the material.
If I re-open the old scheduling agreement, we do not get the error message.  However, as soon as we use the new SD scheduling agreement, we get the error.  We are using the same material master on both scheduling agreements.
    Thanks,
    Helen
