Inventory Management - Stock Ageing

Hello,
I'm new to Inventory Management in BI and I was trying to create a Cube to check the stock ageing.
I follow the needed initialization for the 2LIS_03_BF, 2LIS_03_BX and also UM. The load was successful executed however I can't see any data using the ListCube.
I looked into the fact table and the data is there but I can't see it and I don't have it available for reporting.
Can you help me?

Inventory Management: Stock reservation

Hi Experts,
Your expertise in MM is greatly appreciated.
Scenario: Stock reservation
We have to reserve a portion of inventory for CRM opportunities that might turn into sales orders. If we have 200EA in Unrestricted, 80EA is supposed to be reserved for CRM opportunities and other sales orders cannot use these stock. If the CRM opportunities do not turn into sales orders by the 15th of the month, we release the 80EA on 15th so they can be allocated to other sales orders.
These 80EA might be physically created already or they can be just for information telling the sales team that we have 80 EA being created. The main idea is that they are reserved for CRM opportunities only and they should not be allocated to other sales order during SO creation, rescheduling, backorder process before the 15th of the month.
Is there a way that we can do this in SAP? We only have MM and SD implemented in this phase. I looked at options, but please feel free to correct them if them seem to not be possible for this scenario.
Created a Reservation document with movement type 522 for the 80EA. This decreased the total Unrestricted (200-80= 120). During SO creation, the 80EA reserved is not getting allocated in the orders. However, when I run rescheduling, the 80EA are getting allocated for SO with delivery dates before the 15th of the month. The aim is to have them ‘reserved’ until the 15th of the month.
I created a transfer posting (MIGO) from Unrestricted to Blocked using movement type 344. The 80EA were turned into blocked stock in MMBE and this decreased the total unrestricted. The blocked stock were not allocated in the SO, rescheduling, and backorder processing. To release the stock back to unrestricted by the 15th, I use movement type 343 in MB1B. Would there be a way to automatically create the transfer posting every time we have to reserve inventory for CRM and also automatically release them back to unrestricted every 15th of the month?

you could write an ABAP that calls the BAPI BAPI_GOODSMOVEMENT_CREATE
and could schedule this ABAP to run on the 15th

Combined Report for Purchasing and Inventory Management.

Is there any standard SAP Report available where I can get all the information related to Purchasing and Inventory Management in one.
Like Material,Purchasing details of the material (vendor, price etc ) and Inventory Management (Stock qty and value etc.).

Vendor Consignment stock or vendor managed stock

Dear All,
My client wants to manage vendor consignment stock.
Vendor will be given a area and vendor will keep the stock in his area. Based on the plan he will supply the stock.
the GR for rawmaterials will be made on the consumption report given by the production person. This activity will happen next day only. i will do the GR only to the quantity consumed.
for example if i consumed 100 qty, i will do GR only for 100 and vendor will issue invoice for 100. But when the vendor issue the stock, he will raise a excise invoice based on which i have to take excise credit. I want to know how to do the same.
secondly, i take credit for 100 qty, but actual consumption is 95 only, how do i reverse the 5 only excise invoice.

No, it is possible to sell from vendor consignment stock directly and I have done it in ECC 6.0 (not IS-retail).
- Pls refer the note 607604.
- Establish the 'stock determination rule' in MM -> Inventory Management -> Stock Determination.
- You need to assign it to the material (MRP3 view) or assign it to item-ategory.
- DONOT mark the special stock indicator in item-category used in SD (e.g. TAN) with 'K'..I did this mistake and wasted some time. If you do, it will ask you to populate the Vendor field in the Delivery which is not available and you may get stuck up because of that.
This should make it work.

iam working in stock ageing report my requirment is i for developing stock ageing i have chars for plant and material ,and other 2 chars but i dont have cal day i have only creation on date means posting date only availble .my current layout is :

Expired     Blocked     Restricted
above is mentioned is my current layout.
but now user will be want they want see 0-30 below month also mean july- august same as 30-60 also.
Report to display always 2 months data at a time. Previous month closing and current month ongoing
this is my requirement please hpe help on this.

The date of the GR is only one thing, but after that you received the goods in your SLoc you cannot make difference between stocks received at different times.
As your stock is not distinguished in the system as per the GR date you cannot say that which sub-stock has been consumed during GI.
So, without batch management you cannot achieve your goal in standard system.
Of course, physically you can realize your idea by putting labels on different batches - this would mean batch management physically and not in SAP.
If you use warehouse management you can use a workaround: the GR date is stored in the quants and this makes possible to track the age of the stock without batch management. Please check:

What steps do you mean? taking an ABAP course and doing it yourself, or stepping to an ABAPer and let him know what he shall do?
you asked for a stock report, not for a movement report.
If I go into my warehouse and looking at all the stuff sitting there and want a report that should tell me how old this stuff is, then i am not intrested if there was a goods receipt movement.
However I would like to know the last movement date. In this case you have to look into table S032 or into the movements MSEG (with MKPF as header table)

Stock ageing report without Batch Management

Hi Gurus,
My client wants a Stock ageing report. But my concern here is can we achieve this without batch management
According to my client, Inventory ageing report should show stock quantities and stock value as follows,
1. Below one year
2. Between one and two years
3. Above two years
We can accumulate the goods receipt as per Material document date and movement type according to the above age requirement.
But, can we track goods issues from the above age groups without Batch Management.
Experts Pls reply and If possible, pls explain how we can achieve this.

Stock Valuation - Inventory Management Cube

Dear Sap Gurus,
We have implemented the Inventory Management Cube in BW.
Quantities are correct, but we have difference on the stock valuation.
For some material stock value are correct, for some other they are not correct.
A saw a lot of OSS notes and how to on this subject, I am trying to solve this issue using these documents, but based on your experience could you explain me how you solved this issue ????

Did you follow the correct steps?
Initialisation of BX data in the first step.(Loading of Opening Stock)
Then The request in which the opening stock was loaded must always be
compressed with a marker update
Init load of BF And UM in the second step
The request in which the historical material documents were contained
must always be compressed without a marker update and
Successive delta uploads must always be compressed with marker
updates
Check this whether you have done this or not.
Because of missing the steps here also would give you wrong values,

Inventory Management: Valuated Stock Value

Hello Experts -
We're using inventory management. We're just bringing in 2lis_03_bf which is the material movements and the standard price datasource.
The plant valuated stock quantity and the valuated stock value are fine. The SLOC valuated stock quantity is fine. We're using the non-cumulative key figures for the valuated stock quantity and the valuated stock value. The SLOC valuated stock value isn't correct. So I just created a calculated key figure where I'm multiplying the quantity with the standard price.
This works fine but when I look at the plant level and use this CKF, the aggregation threw me off. So I changed the aggregation on CKF at the Bex level.
This works fine in dev and qa where I don't have too much of data. But as soon as I'm in in production, the query times out and gives me an error saying I reached the buffer limit.
I was thinking of calculating the valuated stock value at the ETL layer but now I'm thinking that if I do that and the price of a material changes, I'll again have the same problem. I can't re-load every time a material price changes.
Can someone please help me with this scenario?

Deriving values by multipling with price also not correct. results will not match with R/3.
Value Calculation
In principle, values are updated with Plant, Material, and Stock Category only. Quantities are updated with these characteristics, as well as with Storage Location, Batch Number, and Stock Characteristic
Check SAP Note 589024: Evaluations in BW with the Characteristics Storage Location and Stck Char.).

Consignment Stock for Inventory Management

Posting as a new thread...
I have installed and loaded the Inventory Management Cube 0IC_03 in our development and quality systems. During testing we have found just one problem with Consignment Stock. The Stock Initialization (2LIS_03_BX) does not bring in an initial quantity (BWMNG) for any material flagged as a Consignment Stock (Stock Category = K, field BSTTYP).
My question - is there a good reason for this or is this a problem? It causes a problem with reporting, because balances are now off. Do I need to change how reporting is done for Consignment?
It seems to me that the BX extractor should be picking up the initial balance. I am trying to debug the code, but am getting a headache!
Any help would be appreciated!
Yes, I have reviewed the "How To..." documentation, but don't see anything regarding consignment stock.
We are at BW 3.0b Support Pack 25.

Thanks, Ken. I don't know that this note actually helped me, but I did another review of OSS notes. We have applied 3 of them (726485, 756151, 762219) and our consignment issue has been resolved.

Inventory Management: Blocked stock coming up in OnHand

Hello Experts -
We've implemented 2LIS_03_BF for our inventory management reports.
However, the OnHand quantity is also picking up Blocked quantity. I used the same code as given by SAP.
For a material, the OnHand quantity is 13 in our reports when there's nothing under Unrestricted in MMBE. But there are 13 under Blocked.
I looked at the code and the way the code is, it would pick up the Blocked quantity also.
How do I resolve this issue?

Hi,
Which key figure are you using to get Stock on Hand?
To get stock on hand we have to use 0TOTALSTCK - Quantity Total Stock and 0BLOCKEDSTK is for blocked stock
These 2 are non-cumulative key figure.In update rules logic will be differentiated based on Stock type and stock category. For Blocked stock , stock type should be 'D' and stock category NA 'KR'.
Please check update rules of BF.

1. Warehouse Inventory Turnover of Total Stock Specifies how often average total stock has been consumed. (Total consumption quantity / Total stock- average quantity)
2. Average Total Stock Warehouse Inventory Turnover Specifies how often average total stock has been consumed based upon the average total usage. (Average total consumption quantity / Total stock u2013 average quantity)

Can i transfer stock with transfer order in Inventory management?

Can i transfer stock with transfer order in Inventory management between two storage locations in the same plant?

I hope you are referring a transfer order and the transfer between two storage locations connected to the same warehouse, and just not doing movement at IM level with a transfer order.
But, if you are referring to making a bin-bin transfer within the warehosue and you want to influence the storage location to storage location automatically, yes, you can do this. You should use 'storage location control' configuration under WM-IM interface to drive this. Essentially, you need to maintain the warehouse, destiantion storage type, plant, destination storage location and movement type 311. When you perform the transfer order confirmation to move inventory from a storage type (inventory is under source storage location) to the destination storage type (per the configuration setting) there will be an automatic transfer posting made to move inventory at IM level from source to desintation storage location.

Inventory management scnerio - unabel to find out back month stock

I am trying to implement inventory management scnerio in BW3.5 using screen shot PDF .
At this time I upload current stock in to 0IC_C03 cube and its coming correct on BEx .
but back month stock is not coming into cube.
Can anybody tell me how can I get back month stock in this cube ???
At this time I have done marker update with BX and BF data sources and current stock is coming in to 0IC_C03 cube and its correct .
Now I am confuse after peg-15 of screen shot pdf so plzz help me out.
