Invoke an adapter on change of User's Group Membership details

Hi
I need to invoke an adapter on change of User’s Group Membership details. I am not able to figure out from where I can invoke my adapter.
Does anyone have any idea about this?
-- Another Question: what is the purpose of having “tcUSRautoGroupMembership” in User’s Object Form on Post Update. It would be nice if you give some details about this task.
-Hardew

Thanks for quick response.
What you have mentioned, is applicable for a specific value of a user’s OIM Profile filed; that means it will triggered only if a user has specified value i.e. "blah blah" for that field i.e. fieldA.
However my scenario is slightly different. Let me explain my scenario by example:-
I have N numbers of OIM groups i.e. g1, g2, g3, g4……, gn and a user called myUser. This user is a member of two groups’ g1 and g2, now if I make myUser to member of one more group i.e. g3 or remove i.e. g1; then I want to perform a custom task using adapter on this Group Membership change.
Is there any “Data Object Form” where I can associate my adapter on post-update to detect change of User’s Group Membership?

  • RFC Adapter Receiver - change SAP User for each call

    Hi guys,
    I need to create one connection between PI and SAP, all right, i can use RFC Adapter Receiver, no problem.
    But, for each call i need to use User and Password different, then, I would pass SAP User and Password in my XML Payload.
    Can anybody help me, please?

    hi,
    >>But, for each call i need to use User and Password different, then, I would pass SAP User and Password in my XML Payload.
    sure we can help you but no in this way:)
    it is possible to change the user for RFC adapter but using
    principal propagation:
    /people/alexander.bundschuh/blog/2007/01/16/principal-propagation-in-sap-xi
    this is the way you need to go and not send password in XML payload
    (this is certainly not the way and no client will approve it)
    why use a password is anyone can see it ?

  • How to change default /Users and /Groups to different Volume?

    Users are created in /Volumes/<boot>/Users and groups in /Volumes/<boot>/Groups.
    We need these to be created on a different volume, eg., /Volumes/External/Users, and /Volumes/External/Groups.
    Setup Assistant correctly put user Backups into */Volumes/External/Shared Items/Backups* and also correctly put web services on /Volumes/External/ServiceData -- we want to do the same for Groups and Users.
    Groups are the most critical, as the group needs bulk storage. Users we could leave as is if it can't be done.
    How can this be configured? We've read File Server Admin, Open Directory Admin, and Advanced Server admin from http://www.apple.com/server/macosx/resources/documentation.html without finding an answer.
    Thanks in advance.

    1. Create new folders on the external volume to hold users and groups, but to prevent confusion name them something other than "Users" and "Groups". /Volumes/External/NetUsers and /Volumes/External/NetGroups would be reasonable choices.
    2. Share both of these folders (in Server Admin -> server name in sidebar -> File Sharing -> Volumes & Browse modes -> select each folder -> click Share near the top right).
    3. Enable both folders for automounting on clients (Server Admin -> server name in sidebar -> File Sharing -> Share Points-> select each folder -> Share Point tab under that -> Enable Automount option) with the default options (Directory: /LDAPv3/127.0.0.1, Protocol: AFP, Use for: User home folders and group folders). Be sure to click Save (not just OK in the dialog).
    4. To migrate users, run Workgroup Manager, and change the home location for the users you want to move (select Accounts in the toolbar -> /LDAPv3/127.0.0.1 from the hidden pop-up menu under that -> User icon tab at the left -> select the user(s) you want to change -> Home tab on the right -> select the NetUsers option from the "Where" list). Then, for each user, run this command on the server: "sudo cp -Rp /Users/username /Volumes/External/NetUsers".
    5. Similarly, move Group folders in WGM (Accounts -> /LDAP... -> Groups icon on left -> select groups to move -> Group Folder tab on right -> NetGroups in the list). Then, for each group, run "sudo cp -Rp /Groups/groupname /Volumes/External/NetGroups".
    6. Test to make sure all is working before deleting the old user and group folders from /Users and /Groups (do NOT delete /Users and /Groups themselves, just the individual folders from under them).

  • "changes to the public group membership cannot be saved" error from Outlook 2010 users, but no problem with Outlook 2003.

    We have the exact same issue as this but our groups are already universal security group and we still have problem:
    http://social.technet.microsoft.com/Forums/en-NZ/exchangesvrmigration/thread/2c953cb4-5411-4f72-beb9-6b4c16fd6685
    The distribution-groups were upgraded to Exchange 2010.  User A can update the group from Outlook 2003 or OWA 2010 but not from Outlook 2010.  Anyone know the solution?
    thanks

    Hi lilyl,
    For this issue, please refer to this document:
    How to Manage Groups that I already own in Exchange 2010?
    http://blogs.technet.com/b/exchange/archive/2009/11/18/3408844.aspx
    So what does the "Changes to the distribution list membership cannot be saved. You do not have sufficient permission to perform
    this operation on this object." error mean, when you are connecting to an Exchange 2010 server?
    It means Exchange 2010 is doing its job - as designed...
    Thanks,

  • OIM 10G OID user account / group membership reconciliation

    Hello
    I have an OID environment that is used for OAM access to applications within the environment. I need to be able to reconcile users from OID into OIM along with their group membership so that roles for users are maintained and updated. I have ORM integrated within the environment so entitlements would need to flow to orm to document that users are members of a role / OIM group. Not sure if this is possible through the trusted reconciliation or if there is a user / group target reconciliation that can be used for this. Any help you can give for this would be appreciated.
    Thanks

    When i use ADCS timestamp as 0 (to capture changes from the beginning and not necessarily after the group change event occured on the AD side) and run AD user target recon this is getting updated. Is this correct and if so how can i always default ADCS timestamp as 0 in the scheduled task and are there any side effects for this sort of approach.

  • User's Group Membership problem with enterprise domain

    Hi
    I have some problems synchronizing Active Directory in LiveCycle ES 8.0.1.
    I'm able to import the users and groups from an active directory to a enterprise domain... but the asociation user to group is not keeped.
    The problem could be why the DN of users is different to the DN of the group?
    the DN users is something like this:
    OU=CED,OU=CDC Utent,DC=house,DC=lan
    and the DN of the group:
    DC=house,DC=lan
    Thanks

    Ok, I think that is not DN value the problem... I tried with another active directory and the association user to group is keeped! But why?
    In the users details of active directory that doesn't synchronize well I have 2 more attribute:
    dSCorePropagationData
    profilePath
    But really I don't understand where is the problem. Maybe the version of Active Directory?
    Does anybody else have this weird issue?
    Thanks.

  • How to verify user LDAP group membership

    Hi,
    we are attempting to determine if a user is a member of a specific LDAP group in our directory and if the user is a member it should return TRUE else FALSE (this is done by defining the LDAP attribute 'CN' (property) which returns a result 'CN=<UserName> or returns 'getting 0 entries'. The query we have is
    (&(cn=<username>)(memberOf=CN=<groupname>,DC=domain,DC=com)).
    Any pointers on how to do this ?
    Thank you.

    You could do a couple of things...
    1) Install dsquery (add remote AD tools to your box) and run something like
    dsquery group -u <user name>
    Username would be their login name, yours is "swaupadh" for example. This would return a listing of all the groups they are in and you could regex through that output for the group you are looking for. Use either the Execute Powershell or Execute Windows Command activity here.
    2) Use powershell functions and powershell capability to check for group membership, something like this:
    function Get-GroupMembership($DN,$group){
        $objEntry = [adsi]("LDAP://"+$DN)
        $objEntry.memberOf | where { $_ -match $group}
    //EXAMPLE CALL
    Get-GroupMembership "Cn=kazun,dc=contoso,dc=com" "Backup Operators"
    Then you can regex through the output for the "True" or "False" word and run with that.
    Either should get you what you want.

  • Changes to the public group membership cannot be saved. You do not have sufficient permission to perform this operation on this object.

    We have an existing Hybrid Setup
    On-Premise Exchange Version: Exchange 2010 SP3 RU1
    Users are being migrated to Exchange Online every day.
    We've read online that Distribution Group and Public Folder permissions and memberships cannot be modified by Exchange Online users, until and unless all DG and PFs are moved to Exchange online.
    I'd like to confirm the above part.
    -Tushar Shah

    Hello,
    These migrated users who are owners of the distribution group can't manage it in Microsoft Exchange Online, if you want to manage the distribution group, the distribution group owners need to use on-premises tools for Exchange Server such as the following:
    EMC and EMS, and then we need directory synchronization or other tools to sync the changes to Office 365.
    Even though all DG and PFs are moved to Exchange online, I'm afraid that we still need on-premises tools for Exchange Server :EMC and EMS.

  • User Group Membership change Alert

    As a system administrator, I will like to be alerted when a user's group membership has changed on the domain. Can Spiceworks compare the imported memberships in its database with AD and alert me when they do not match? Below is an image of the information that SW imports which could be used for this comparison.
    This topic first appeared in the Spiceworks Community

    Assuming you know the dn of the groups to remove the person from and add them to, and the dn of the person to move, you should be able to do something similar to:
    Attributes attrs = new BasicAttributes(true);
    Attribute uniquemember = new BasicAttribute("uniquemember");
    uniquemember.add("uid=user,o=domain.com"); //add user to move to attribute
    attrs.put(uniquemember);
    DirContext ctx = //connect to your ldap dir
    try{
         ctx.modifyAttributes(groupToRemoveFromDN, ctx.REMOVE_ATTRIBUTE, attrs);
         ctx.modifyAttributes(groupToAddToDN, ctx.ADD_ATTRIBUTE,attrs);
    catch (NamingException ne) {
         //return error appropriately
    try{
         ctx.close();
    catch (NamingException ne) {
         //do what you want with error

  • Change User and Group to Nobody

    If I were to change the User and Group (in httpd.conf) to Nobody, what should I do? Is there any other setting that I need to change?

    I'm on AIX5.2. Both user and group nobody are exist.
    There is a note in the httpd.conf file on the user/group setting as below. What does it mean? Thanks.
    # NOTE that some kernels refuse to setgid(Group) or semctl(IPC_SET)
    # when the value of (unsigned)Group is above 60000;
    # don't use Group nobody on these systems!

  • Mount usb with fstab, users and groups.

    This is my fstab file.
    UUID=5d0339ca-83ab-4ce6-9dff-ed407fc3c5e0 / ext4 rw,relatime,data=ordered 0 1
    # /dev/sda2

    UUID=75602c63-1935-4ed9-8401-6dd2a7853878 /home/corsair8gb ext4 rw,users,relatime,noauto 0 0
    my problem is when i mount the usb /home/corsair8gb the users and groups become root. is this normal for usb drives. it does not happen when the samsung1tb is mounted, so was wondering how i can mount the corsair8gb without changing the users and groups of the directory i mount it to???
    NOTE: /home/corsair8gb directory user is myusername and group is users when device is not mounted.

    Have you tried the option user instead of users? It's not exactly the same.
    Edit: To enforce it you can also set the user/group id by uid=<youruserid>,gid=<yourgroupid> .
    Note that these are numbers, to find them e.g. issue "id" in a terminal.
    ok i will try this way. i did try before. didnt realise it was with codes.

  • Populating users and groups - design considerations/best practice

    We are currently running a 4.5 Portal in production. We are doing requirements/design for the 5.0 upgrade.
    We currently have a stored procedure that assigns users to the appropriate groups based on the domain info and role info from an ERP database after they are imported and synched up by the authentication source.
    We need to migrate this functionality to the 5.0 portal. We are debating whether to provide this functionality by doing this process via a custom Profile Web service. It was recommended during ADC and other presentation that we should stay away from using the database security/membership tables in the database directy and use the EDK/PRC instead.
    Please advise on the best way to approach(With details) this issue. We need to finalize the best approach to take asap.
    Thanks.
    Vanita

    So the best way to do this is to write a custom Authentication Web Service.  Database customizations can do much more damage and the EDK/PRC/API are designed to prevent inconsistencies and problems.
    Along those lines they also make it really easy to rationalize data from multiple backend systems into an orgainzation you'd like for your portal.  For example you could write a Custom Authentication Source that would connect to your NT Domain and get all the users and groups, then connect to your ERP system and do the same work your stored procedure would do.  It can then present this information to the portal in the way that the portal expects and let the portal maintain its own database and information store.
    Another solution is to write an External Operation that encapsulates the logic in your stored procedure but uses the PRC/Server API to manipulate users and group memberships.  I suggest you use the PRC interface since the Server API may change in subtle ways from release to release and is not as well documented.
    Either of these solutions would be easier in the long term to maintain than a database stored procedure.
    Hope this helps,

  • Help:Invoke web service after receiving a user task response

    Hi, All:
    We encountered a problem while developing user task. The detail is as follows:
    We need to invoke a web service after a user task's response, that is to say, the web service needs some data from the response of the user task.
    Take the loan flow tuturial as a example, what we need to do is to invoke a web service after the BPEL process get the start loan APR. the web service needs the APR for its input message. how can I handle this situation?
    Thank you very much for your help!

    Thanks for your immediate response Jan Vervecken.
    I have created the Data Control from web Service proxy and I am able to recieve the output from the web Service.
    But, Currently I am invoking the webservice process method by a command button which populates my SelectOneChoice.
    My requirement is to invoke the web service 'process' method by value change event in the SelectOnechoice control.
    So, Can you pls. let me know how do I bind the web Service method 'process' to value change event of SelectOnechoice control?
    Thanks and Regards,

    Can this be fixed??

    Did you change the email address or create a new Apple ID?
    If the email address associated with the account was merely changed, sign out of the Apple ID on the devices and sign in using the new credentials.
