Invoke service

I am trying to get the following working: We are using remote objects to get/save data. When server session expires the user gets a prompt to relogin. After that I am issuing the following command: lastServerRequest.currentTarget.invokeService(lastServerRequest.currentTarget.request); where lastServerRequest is RemoteServiceEvent.  It does work but I am having a problem with calling a callback function when it was specified.   Any idea?

I'm not entirely sure what your trying to do there, but it sounds like you want to recall the failed service method after the user has logged back in. For this I would implement some kind of Command Pattern. Basically it just means that instead of calling a method, you put all the info in a single class that has some kind of execute() method. This allows you to store the object instance and invoke the "command" at a time of your choosing.
//code may contain typos
public class DoStuffCommand
          public var foo:String;
          public var bar:String;
          public resultHandler:Function;
          public faultHandler:Function;
          public function execute():void
                    var ro:RemoteObject = new RemoteObject("my-destination");
                    var token:AsynToken = ro.doStuff(this.foo, this.bar);
                    token.addResponder( new Responder(this.resultHandler, this.faultHandler));
This concept should be tailored for your specific use case. More info is needed to provide any specific advice.

    The details/ID in NWDS Service Reference must exactly match the SOA configuration. Sometimes it's possible you have changed the reference or the group itself and something changed to become mismatched.
    It's possible they don't match - but the SG itself will show green in NWA since the service exists and responds on the target system. Does the ID listed in the error match what is shown in the NWDS project?

  • Split-Join, unable to set SOAP:HEADER in OSB at Invoke Service Component.

    Hi Experts,
        i created a Split-join for parallel processing and invoke third party services, but this service requires some mandatory elements in soap:header like WS-Addressing and, WSA-TO and some security infomation, but i don't know  how to pass header in invoke service step. Please help me to setup Header for Invoke services in split join.
    Please help me to resolve this issue.

  • Oracle Service Bus 10.3 - split join how to set header for invoked service

    In Oracle Service Bus 10.3 how can I set the header for the service being invoked. We make parallel calls to 2 different business services. One of the invoked service requires header to be set and I am unable to figure out how it can be done. Below are snippet of the code and WSDL.
    --- Login Operation start ---
    <operation name="login">
    <wsdlsoap:operation soapAction="blah"/>
    <input name="loginRequest">
    <wsdlsoap:body use="literal"/>

    </input>
    <output name="loginResponse">
    <wsdlsoap:body use="literal"/>
    </output>
    <fault name="genericFaultException">
    <wsdlsoap:fault name="genericFaultException" use="literal"/>
    </fault>
    </operation>
    --- Login Operation end ---

    </xs:sequence>
    </xs:complexType>
    In Oracle Workshop for WebLogic when I create a split-join .flow file while adding the invoke service call to login operation I am prompted to create the loginRequest and loginResponse variables. I can assign the appropriate expression to loginRequest.loginRequestElement prior to making the invoke call but then the backend business call fails because "systemLangCode" is not defined and set. Actual fault is
    <ns1:genericFault xmlns:ns1="http://hppcbl.globalops.company.com/webservice">
    <systemLangCode>en</systemLangCode>
    <fault>

    <code>field.empty</code>
    <desc>System language code is required.</desc>
    <ftype>2</ftype>
    </fault>
    </ns1:genericFault>
    I would really appreciate if someone could guide me on how to resolve this
    Regards,
    -Nilay

    There is this $header variable which you should populate before calling the BS. What is the type of BS? If it is WSDL BS , Any Soap BS then above solution will work. I assume that yours is WSDL based BS and setting $header should resolve this issue.
    AnyXML and Messaging type BS services requires that you create proper pay load (setting $header will not work).
    There is also other actions Set Transport Headers {outbound request/inbound response} which can be used to set transport related headers but not soap headers.

    Hi.
    __sJT_st = (oracle.jdbc.OracleCallableStatement) __sJT_cc.prepareCall("BEGIN :1 := \"ABC_CLASS_API\".GET_ABC_PERCENT(:2 ); END;");
    1 - Why are you casting to a concrete Oracle driver class? Won't a standard
    java.sql.CallableStatement work for you?
    2 - I would recommend using the standard JDBC format for prepared SQL:
    prepareCall("{ ? = call( GET_ABC_PERCENT(?) }");

    Found the issue. There was a difference between the target service and the web service object that I was invoking. Even though I have changed the method signature and changed it back, the web service object that I was invoking needed to be recreated. This fixed the issue.

  • Split/Join, Invoke Service and SOAP Header in osb10.3 wls10.3

    Hi gurus,
    Are Split/Join able to invoke external services with a custom SOAP header?
    I have a split join to call 2 external business services in parallel. Those 2 external services requires a custom SOAP Header
    <soapenv:Header>
    <v1:ConsumerRequestHeader>
    <v1:requestSessionID>TEST_1</v1:requestSessionID>
    <v1:requestTimestamp>2011-06-16T16:57:54.943+02:00</v1:requestTimestamp>
    </v1:ConsumerRequestHeader>
    </soapenv:Header>
    All WSDLs were configured by the instructions of this link : http://download.oracle.com/docs/cd/E13159_01/osb/docs10gr3/eclipsehelp/tasks.html#wp1150628, but in my debuging, the SOAP header is disappeared when calling those external services from the splitjoin. (No problem if designing and testing with the ProxyService. but Proxyservice is useless here because of parallel processing)
    When designing with OSB Workshop IDE, there is no way to pass the custom SOAP header to the "Invoke Service", only the body request/response message.
    My question is, Split/Join automatically uses its header to pass it into the invoke call ?
    Please advise...

    Can you make sure your helloworld is using adf bindings as mentioned in thread Re: Urgent :: 11g Invoking Composite from Java/From Webservice Proxy

  • Not inlcude empty tag while invoking service from ESB

    The ESB receives a request with input xml which contains some empty tag. while ESB invokes the actual services the empty tags should not be included. can any one help how to achieve this?

    define that tag as optional in schema and don't map that element. This should help you.

  • How to Invoke service using HTTP POST in BPEL?

    I have a client using .net service with a web page http://.../httpreceive.aspx which is invoke through an http post. How can we post xml message using http post to the url in BPEL. Are there any documentation on doing this? Will this require writing a java class to do an http post the xml message to the url?

  • Problem consuming inbound AQ message from ebusiness suite to invoke service

    Hi All,
    I am having a real problem with a composite which I am trying to fire from a business event in Oracle Applications, any help would be really appreciated.
    I suspect this maybe down to a server configuration issue as Weblogic (11g) has only had a basic install completed by a none DBA trained colleague who has never used weblogic before.
    Here is my scenario:
    I have a BPEL process that receives an incomming message and writes that message to file using the file adapter. The inbound service interface is an Oracle Applications Adapter that has been configured to "dequeue" a message from the WF_BPEL_Q AQ in Oracle Applications. The business event is the "Create Employee" event.
    I have followed the 11g SOA gateway developer guide example and subscribed to the business event via the Oracle Apps Integration Repository subscribtion functionality and I have ensured that the business event is enabled. By default the subscription is set as defered.
    I have successfully created an employee and the business event has fired and after a minute or so the message is enqueued to the WF_BPEL_Q within the APPS schema.
    Problem: despite the composite compiling and deploying successfully to my SOA server the BPEL process does not get invoked and the message does not get de-queued from the WF_BPEL_Q.
    I am happy that the BPEL process is configured correctly and I have checked the JNDI reference to the apps Data Source configured on the Weblogic server is correct on the inbound partner link.
    My understanding of the process is that the Apps Adapter is not just a fancy service interface bean within the JDeveloper IDE, on the server there is a corresponding component that polls the WF_BPEL_Q and dequeues the relevant messages and invokes the services that are registered on the server that subscribe to that particular buisiness event.
    What I need to know is:
    1. What is a typical configuration for the ApplicationsAdapter on the Weblogic server, i.e. what should I be looking for and checking i.e. connections to my Apps instance/listners/adapter settings etc...
    2. How do I run diagnostics/debug the process to find the problem i.e. where are log files located etc....
    Any help on this would be much appreciated, also if you are more of a BPEL process implementer and have experience with business event invokation of services then please feel free to make suggestions ask questions about my configuration, I am new to Business Events, BPEL and Weblogic so I have got my work cut out!!!!
    I will post this question on a few of the SOA forums
    Thanks in advance
    Keith Turley

    We have similar issue.All the Background engines are up and running.Also see no error on WF_BPEL_QTAB table..
    Business event is oracle.apps.ar.hz.CustAccount.update. Let me know if there is anything which needs to be looked in on the SOA Server.

  • How to send output from an invoked service in BusinessConnector to Xi.

    Hi,
    I have configured BC sender adapter.
    My scenario is such that when BC service is invoked, it's output must be forwarded to XI interface.
    But when i invoke BC service there is no any message in the sxmb_moni,means no message is received from BC.
    What parameters should i supply while configuring BC sender adapter?
    Is there any naming convention restrictions on the XI interfaces while configuring BC sender adapter?
    Has anyone an idea?

  • BPEL Sync process completes, but the invoking service receives a timout

    Hi,
    I have a synchronous BPEL process. When I enter the parameters in the BPEL Console, and invoke the service, the progress indicator on the status bar on the browser does not complete. However, when I open another browser window, I can see in the dashboard that the process has been invoked and the instance is completed.
    When I invoke the process from another system (Siebel or soapUI), I receive a timeout.
    I have tried to check if the process takes a lot of time by checking the time from start to finish(I have put in current-dateTime() function at the start and the end of the process) but it takes around 1 second to complete.
    Can someone explain how to resolve this issue?
    Thanks

    How do you say that the instance is complete ?
    Do you see a final reply activity in Audit ?
    It could be possible that you might have missed to assign data to output variable.
    Are you getting receiveTimeout Exception in BPEL console after some time ?

  • NumberFormatException when trying to invoke service

    I get a client side error when trying to invoke the StockQuote web service on www.xmethods.com. The only changes I've made to the example client code (available at xmethods.com) is to handle proxies:
    Call call = new Call ();
    //set up the message to go through the proxy
    SOAPHTTPConnection transport = new SOAPHTTPConnection();
    transport.setProxyHost("proxy4");
    transport.setProxyPort(80);
    call.setSOAPTransport(transport);
    try{
    // Invoke the service ....
    Response resp = call.invoke (url,"");
    }catch(SOAPException soe){
    System.out.println("Soap Exception");
    soe.printStackTrace();
    The SOAPException gets thrown by the invoke method and the following output occurs. Help.
    Soap Exception
    [SOAPException: faultCode=SOAP-ENV:Client; msg=3194  ; targetException=java.lang.NumberFormatException: 3
    194  ]
    at org.apache.soap.transport.http.SOAPHTTPConnection.send (SOAPHTTPConnection.java:324)
    at org.apache.soap.rpc.Call.invoke(Call.java:205)
    at stockquoteClient.getQuote(stockquoteClient.java:45)
    at stockquoteClient.main(stockquoteClient.java:68)

    This is just a guess, but in this code: Response resp = call.invoke (url,""); the second arg to "invoke" is declared as Object[], so should it be Response resp = call.invoke (url,null); or Response resp = call.invoke (url, new Object[1] {null});Mike

  • Interfaces for Invoking services

    Hi all,
    I have to configure a scenario where i need to invoke web services from a third party system. I need to know what kind of interfaces will be involved (Inbound/outbound, sync/async) and how many?
    Scenario:
    SAP Work flow <> PI <> Third Party (Two Webservices)
    based on the response from SAp Work Flow, i need to paas this resposnse to PI and then trigger one of the two webservices in the Third Party system.
    Also i need to pass the response of web service back to SAP Work flow.
    If you need any particular details, kindly let me know. I have kept it as simple as possible for quick reading.
    Any help will be appriciated.
    Thanks and best regards,
