Ios 7 calendar subscription problem

I am using an iPad 3rd gen.  When I updated to ios 7, everything seems to work fine except that my calendar subscriptions do show up in the calendar.  I have deleted the accounts and re-added them 2-3 times.  When re-adding them, everything seems to look like it will work (i.e., verifies the server just fine), but then the calendar does not show up when I open the calendar app.  I have restarted the ipad a few times as well.  Still the same.  Does anyone else have this issue?  Does anyone know how to fix it?
BTW (and for what it's worth), I have had no issues with the same calendar subscriptions on my iphone 4s after installing ios 7.
Thanks for any help you can give.

Close the calendar app and reboot the iPad and see if that fixes it.
Double tap the home button and you will see apps lined up going left to right across the screen. Swipe to get to the Calendar app, then swipe "up" on the calendar app thumbnail to close it.
Reboot the iPad by holding down on the sleep and home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider if it appears on the screen - let go of the buttons. Let the iPad start up.

  • Calendar subscription problems with ios7

Hi I have updated my 4S to ios7 and I've lost a calendar that I subscribed to. If I switch off icloud I get it back. I had a message saying "Cannot Subscribe Could not subscribe to the calendar "ical.ics" from (then its the website address)".
Im wondering if one or more of my settings are wrong, my friend is able to have both icloud and the subscribed school calendar. Please help oh and I didnt have this problem with ios6. :^(

Here is a little update to my own thread:
The duty planning application, which provides the ical interface, is running on a server.
The calendar subscription on the iPhone/iPod/iPad, which pulls the data from that interface has been configured with a URL, username, password, and SSL-encryption.
The problem occurred right after updating to IOS7 (where it worked perfectly with the previously installed version of IOS), and also after configuring the calendar subscription anew on an IOS7 device. And it does not occur on all devices.
What I mainly need is a hint about how to find the root cause, or what to check on those devices.

  • IOS 7 calendar readability problem.

I'm having great difficulty reading the text on my calendar because the characters are gray and the background is gray. Is there a way to change these colors? For example black characters.

I appreciate your rapid response. I took your advice and sent a text to Apple hoping they can come up with solution. I don't understand why they would put gray text on a gray background, but then there's a lot of things I don't understand.

  • IOS 7 Calendar not working properly

    Hi,
I can't get my iOS 7 calendar to respond to any commands... it opens, but everything is greyed out (i can navigate the app, but I can't execute anything).  My iCloud is working perfectly, and it syncs with my macbook pro, but my iPhone 4 calendar will not sync or allow me to create new events.  I can however sync successfully with third party apps like the sunrise calendar app for my iPhone.  My contacts and safari are also syncing just fine.
Believe it or not, I do want to be able to use the default calendar app.  I have tried all the usual solutions in the message boards, and nothing seems to work.  Does anyone have a solution?

No one is else is havinv this problem?  I'm shocked that no one has replied, not even from Apple.  I am still having this problem and am missing important emails in a timely fashion.  I am not getting emails that were sent 5 hours ago.  THere is something wrong here.  If anyone has any inkling of an idea, it would be much appreciated.
    Thanks
    Mark

I had the same problem until this moring. Using Google, go to the black bar (+you, search, images, more) and hit +you. That should activate the Plus key. Hope it works with your ipad, too.

  • IOS 7 calendar bugs

iOS 7 calendar on iPhone is not showing notifications for today or scheduled events for tomorrow. Is anyone experiencing this problem?

    Bug in monthly view.
If I'm viewing the current month, all is fine. (So far for Sep and Oct). The top left hand corner labels the current month correctly and in bold. Eg. October 2013. I'll call this the (monthly) Label.
But if I scroll forward to view future months, the Label displays the month incorrectly, lagging by a month.
For example. I'm viewing the whole of January's calendar but the label would still be December.
I have to scroll till January is almost out of view ( and Feb coming into view) before the label indicates January. By then, the little 'Feb' in 'Feb 1' has disappeared.
And I would see Feb dates indicated as January.
This issue is unstable. When I first got to ios 7, the labeling issue was apparently from viewing the current month.
Now, it seems to behave for the current and next month before it goes haywire again.
So please do scroll to many months ahead to check if you have this bug.

  • Why in iOS 6 (Calendar) it opens at the next day instead of today?

Why in iOS 6 (Calendar) it opens at the next day instead of today?

Nope... some of these are birthday all-day events created three years ago, or more. When I edit the events there is no time zone listed, but here is what I do notice:
When I view the "repeat" information for one of the problem events in iOS, it says "Custom." When I select that I see that it says "Yearly" instead of "Every Year." The events that do not have a problem are set to repeat "Every Year"
The two I just compared were created in 2008 (the one that works) and 2011 (the one that doesn't). I am guessing that I created one of these events using my iPhone, and the other using Google Calendar via a Web browser. I will try to create some test events using both devices to see if there is any difference.

  • Why, when MobileMe was shuttered, does Apple NOT support calendar subscriptions for iCal (Calendar)?  I upgraded to Mountain Lion and cannot migrate my Dutch, U.K., Islamic, or Catholic holiday subscriptions.

Why, when MobileMe was shuttered, does Apple NOT support calendar subscriptions for iCal (Calendar)?
I upgraded to Mountain Lion and cannot migrate my Dutch, U.K., Islamic, or Catholic holiday subscriptions.  I had a heck of a time getting my Detroit Tigers Baseball team schedules migrated (but Major League Baseball supported the subscriptions, so it occurred).  As I work internationally, having these calendar subscriptions on the new Calendar would be very useful.
If one goes to the Apple site, and seeks calendars [http://www.apple.com/downloads/macosx/calendars/index1.html], they are shunted to MobileMe [https://www.icloud.com/mobileme/not_found/], with the note "MobileMe is closed. Go to iCloud."  But, I do not see how to get subscriptions from iCloud.
    Thanks.

The problem is that many of these calendars were hosted on MobileMe. I actually tried about 20 at random, and only two worked! Not all of the failures were ex-MobileMe, some were on other servers but produced 'File Not Found'.
Strangely, this one worked despite its URL:
    http://ical.mac.com/ical/UK32Holidays.ics
Until the people who publish these calendars (it's not Apple, they are third-party) wake up and find alternative servers these calendars are not available.
There may be other sources which work - try Googling.

  • Calendar Backup Problem

I’m having an issue with the calendars on my iPhone after a backup and restore following an upgrade to the iOS4 on a 3G handset.
Back in April I did an update for the relevant OS version at the time and all was fine except for no apparent reason all new calendar entries were being made in a new/second calendar. A couple of weeks back I had to do a reset to factory settings (due to a glitch) which was preceded by a backup and followed by a restore of data. No problems, all calendar data restored = all hunky-dory!
However, yesterday when I upgraded to the iOS4 iTunes did a back up, reset the iPhone to factory settings and restored the data. However, the new/second calendar has not restored meaning I’ve lost nearly three months worth of valuable info. Is this data still held somewhere on my PC (Windows Vista Home)? I’m not overly concerned about getting it back to the iPhone if I can at least see it somehow. The only backups iTunes will let me restore to the iPhone are ones that were made yesterday during the upgrade, a.k.a no use.
    Thanks in advance
    Neil

So the version of the Calendar on the iOS device is the correct one....it seems like if you turned cell data and wi-fi off, did the restore, then connected to a desktop version of Outlook via iTunes..in the desktop Outlook you'd have to create another calendar folder, then sync the iOS device calendar items to the newly created folder/calendar...you'd then have the calendar items in Outlook( albeit a different folder/calendar) and could experiment a bit with how to get them back in the correct Outlook calendar folder...another option would be to sync with the main calendar folder in Outlook, but i always get nervous moving around all my data at one time in case something "bad" or unexpected happens.  I'd probably also keep the desktop version of Outlook offline (not connected back to the exchange Server) until you had a chance to move  items from one calendar folder to the other  and see what happens.  I think the worst that would happen is you might get some duplication of calendar items....

  • Alarms on calendar subscriptions

Anyone know how to have alarms show up on calendar subscriptions?
Wondering if this was a compatibility problem with the way Google Calendar stores exports alarms, I exported a local calendar from iCal that had an event with an alarm, then I hosted the exported calendar on my local web server, and then subscribed to it. The alarm did not show up on the subscribed version of my local calendar... does iCal not support alarms on subscriptions?

iCal does support alarms on subscriptions, but removes them by default.
If the calendar has alarms in it, you should be able to re-enable them by right-clicking on the calendar name in the SUBSCRIPTIONS list and unchecking the Remove: Alarms box.
You'll see a few other items in those settings that you might want to modify, too.

  • Calendar subscriptions not showing up in mountain lion notification centre

Has anyone else had this problem when your calendar subscriptions are not showing up on the notification centre. Everything seems to be turned on in the preferences but I'm not seeing any of my calendar subscriptions entrys showing up in the notification centre.
    Please Help.

I had the same problem with my calendar subscriptions and notifications disappearing after upgrading to Mountain Lion (or maybe user error around that same time). Here's how I  resolved the issue:
In Calendar application, click "File", and select "New Calendar Subscription". Paste your calendar feed address into the "Calendar URL" box. In my case, I was re-adding my TripIt calendar feed which looked something like this:
    webcal://www.tripit.com/feed/ical/private/ABCDEFGabcdefg/tripit.ics

  • Profile Manager Calendar Subscription

Is it possible to deploy calendar subscriptions to OSX Users with Profile Manager?  Its listed as an option for iOS users, but not OSX.  Perhaps a custom payload?

hi there. did you find a way to solve this?
I am getting many (non-stop every minute) of "10/8/12 4:24:48.966 PM com.apple.launchd[1]: (com.apple.collabcored4) Throttling respawn: Will start in 7 seconds" errors. And my wiki is now unstable with error page once every few clicks.
Thanks in advance for any suggestion you might have.

  • Sync iCal calendar subscriptions across devices through iCloud?

How do I sync a Google Calendar subscription on my iMac with iCloud Calendar and my associated iOS devices? I subscribe to my google calendar on my iMac (because my University forces me to use google calendar) but cannot see the events on my iCloud account, MacBook or iPhone4.

You can't get a Google Calendar subscription to sync through iCloud.
However you can separately connect to the Google Calendar on each device.
In iOS, simply go to Settings -> Mail, Contacts, Calendars and add the Google account, with calendars switched on.
In OS X, go to System Preferences -> Mail, Contacts & Calendars and add the Google account, with calendars ticked.
    Cheers,
    Rodney

Why does ios 7 calendar does not show events 2 years in the future?
I've entered the events more than twice and it all shows up in the OSX calendar but not on my iphone.

Just tested it works even 3 years ahead.
Tap Calendars (bottom, middle) is All iCloud selected (tick mark)?
