IOS that supports SSH

Hi guys,
I am using L3 4506 switch with the IOS Version 12.2(18)EW3. I want to upgrade the IOS which supports SSH. Can any one suggest the latest IOS version that supports SSH for 4506 switch.
Thanks
Rajesh

Thanks Prame...
The Supervisor Engine that we have is Supervisor IV.
For your better understanding i have attached the output below.

  • Ios image support ssh

    hello dear
please can you tell me that the image   ((c2960-lanbase-mz.122-53.SE1.bin))   support the ssh or no??
if no what ios image can i load for the switch 2960G to support the ssh.
    thanks

    Hello sajjad_m1987,
    c2960-lanbase-mz.122-53.SE1.bin does not support ssh.
You'll need the crypto image, which has the k9 in the name.
    c2960-lanbasek9-mz.122-52.SE.bin
You can go to the following link to search for the ios that supports the feature that is needed.

    Hope this helps,

  • Best current IOS that supports Netflow in a 6509?

    Hello,
We are trying to enable Netflow in our core switches (6509E). The problem that we have is that once we enable it the CPU usage is noticeable higher and I've been thinking it could be IOS related. Does anyone have a recommendation of an IOS that provides good performance when Netflow is enabled?
    Thank you,
    Francisco.

    We have:
    (s72033_rp-IPSERVICESK9_WAN-M), Version 12.2(33)SXJ
Netflow is disabled and we do not want to enable it since we saw some performance issues and we were told not to enable it again. At some point we will need to enable it, that is why i am thinking there might be a better supportive IOS version for Netflow.
We have a WS-C6509-E (R7000) processor (revision 1.2) with 983008K/65536K bytes of memory

  • Downgraded A1240 Access point to IOS that support CLI command

I have a new A1240 and it IOS is working with new command LWAPP and need a control server to manage the access point. It (ios) does not have configure terminal command. I think I can delete the IOS in the flash and load a older version IOS. I went ahead and deleted the IOS and assumed the access point will go to rommon mode and allows me to archive a tar file (older ios) into the access point. However, I only get AP: prompt and stuck here. I can not run copy or archive command. What are recover process. Need your expert guidance. Au Ray Singapore

    Hi Au Ray,
    Have you tried this method?
    Using the MODE button
You can use the MODE button on 1100 and 1200 series access points to reload the access point image file from an active Trivial File Transfer Protocol (TFTP) server on your network or on a PC connected to the access point Ethernet port.
This process resets all configuration settings to factory defaults, including passwords, WEP keys, the access point IP address, and SSIDs.
Follow these steps to reload the access point image file:
Step 1 The PC you intend to use must be configured with a static IP address in the range of 10.0.0.2 to 10.0.0.30.
Step 2 Make sure that the PC contains the access point image file (such as c1100-k9w7-tar.122-13.JA.tar for an 1100 series access point or c1200-k9w7-tar.122-13.JA.tar for a 1200 series access point) in the TFTP server folder and that the TFTP server is activated. For additional information, refer to the "Obtaining the Access Point Image File" and "Obtaining TFTP Server Software" sections.
Step 3 Rename the access point image file in the TFTP server folder to c1100-k9w7-tar.default for an 1100 series access point or c1200-k9w7-tar.default for a 1200 series access point.
Step 4 Connect the PC to the access point using a Category 5 (CAT5) Ethernet cable.
Step 5 Disconnect power (the power jack for external power or the Ethernet cable for in-line power) from the access point.
Step 6 Press and hold the MODE button while you reconnect power to the access point.
Step 7 Hold the MODE button until the status LED turns red (approximately 20 to 30 seconds), and release the MODE button.
Step 8 Wait until the access point reboots as indicated by all LEDs turning green followed by the Status LED blinking green.
Step 9 After the access point reboots, you must reconfigure the access point by using the Web-browser interface or the CLI.

  • Small, cheap NAS box that supports nfs/rsync/ssh ?

    Hi all,
for my personal backup needs, I'm looking for a standalone NAS box ("networked hard disk/raid solution").  I need to have support for at least one of rsync/nfs/ssh.  (smb/ftp is not enough for me)
It shouldn't be too big (eg not the size of a regular pc.) and it shouldn't cost more then 350 euro or so without disks.
If I can mount one or two sata 1TB disks I'm happy.
Bonus points for solutions where I have total control over the "OS" on it, where the hardware platform exists of standardized easily replacable parts and if it's powerfull enough to do encryption. (I'm prepared to throw in extra cash for these features)
    I guess my options are:
    1) a product that supports what I want out of the box.  I couldn't find that (unless ridiculously expensive, eg 500 euro or more without disks)
    2) a product that *almost* does what I want, but where you can install a small Linux distro/freenas over the original firmware so you can do what you want.  Basically any appliance (be it a storage device, embedded platforms, network equipment, ...) that can host hard disks and where you can overwrite the OS is worth looking into.
    3) building something myself.  I've seen some really small motherboards based on Atom cpu's, or even embedded stuff can be enough (something like soekris, pc-engines, etc).  But it needs 2 sata ports then, I need to find a housing, a psu, etc. SFF-pc's such as shuttle's etc can also be good options
    Any tips, pointers, ideas ?
    Thanks

    * Via nano might be a good platform (must google more for this, stable?)
    * There are no Atom boards with more then 2 sata ports.  (the msi's still are to be expected)
    * Taking an intel board with a slow celeron / amd with sempron can be an option, it will be fast , stable and not expensive.  I'm told it wouldn't pull too much power either. (although more then atom/epia)
    * "ready-to-go" SFF-pc's/barebones can be found in the <300 euro price range, making this a good target for a simple 1/2-disk NAS

deadrabbit wrote:I recently bought an MSI Wind desktop, with pretty much the same thing in mind. I ended deciding against a NAS enclosure, since I wanted to be able to install a conventional Linux distro, and have complete control over it.  The Wind is cheap, and all the hardware is Linux compatible (http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.a … 6856167032). I ended up installing the OS on a CompactFlash card, so the hard drive would have to run constantly. As a result, it's nice and quite, uses little power, and the OS on the CF card is automatically backed up to the hard drive. I wrote up a detailed description of the project here: http://rockhoppernotes.blogspot.com/200 … sktop.html.
    Thanks, looks quite good.
Except one thing: the 945GC chipset has a TDP of 22.2W.. that's stupid imo, and defeats the whole purpose of a low-tdp cpu such as the Atom.  Right now I'm still doubting between waiting for an Atom board based on the 945GM(S)/945GSE chip (TDP 6Watt) (eeebox has that one, some MSI mini-ITX boards should be available in january) or going for a socket775 board with an intel core2 45nm cpu, which would consume not much more then Atom+ 945GC chipset (when idle, loaded is much more but I don't plan to load it ).
Nvidia is also working on an Atom chipset but I don't think I'll wait for that.

  • Apps that support IOS 3.1.3 version ?

    Hi,
Can someone help me to find out all the apps/games that support IOS 3.1.3 version from itunes store.
    Where can i get them?
    Thanks

    kiran,
You can't install the newer ios apps since the CPU and internal RAM inside an ipod touch 1G can not support the demands of the newer software.  There are still many many many apps available that will work.  The trick is finding them.
I wrote "Vintapps 3.1.3" to make this easy for anyone who has this problem due to keeping their devices for years or getting a handme down.

For a web based method see,

Although I wrote my 99 cent app specifically to help solve this problem, I need to add that "I may receive some form of compensation, financial or otherwise, from my recommendation or link."

  • Which is Adobe product to be used for developing iPAD(IOS) applications that support PDF edit on the

    Question:
We would like to know if LiveCycle ES 8.0 supports development of applications for IOS devices like iPAD,...
Our requirement is to build applications that opens PDF on an iPAD, let the user edit and save the PDF.
If not, which other Adobe product does?
    Thanks,
    Murali

If you want to add text as comments, then a form created in Acrobat (Acroform) will work in Adobe Reader for iOS. It does not support forms created in LiveCycle Designer (XFA). There are also other PDF viewers that support Acroforms and commenting. So you don't need to create an application, just documents (PDF forms) that can be opened in an existing application (PDF viewer) that supports forms and commenting.
If you want to edit/add text that is part of the regular page contents of an existing PDF, I'm not aware of anything on iOS that does that and I don't think Adobe has anything that will help you develop an app that will.

  • IOS version that support 2048 bits certificate

    Hello,
I need to update a 2504  Wireless Controller to a version that supports 2048 bits certificates.
I´m checking release notes for release 7.4.110.0 and I don´t see any information about a limitation in certification size (2048 bytes in my case).
Do you know any restriction about the certificate size in this or another version?
    Thanks and Regards.
    Iván.

2048 bit is supported on the WLC. I use it for WebAuth and 3rd party certificates as these vendors only issue 2048 these days.

  • Is this image capable of supporting SSH V2? flash:c2800nm-spservicesk9-mz.124-17a.bin

I ran a batch job on a certain group of routers trying to enable SSH V2 on them, some of them came back successfully and others replied when I ran the command "sh ip ssh" with "SSH Enabled - version 1.99". Even though this is a K9 image, is it only capable of supprting SSH V2 or where might I find a doc which might be able to show me what images are c\apable of supporting ssh v2? Thanks guys

Can I ask, is it a rock solid rule that an image that doesn't contain "K9" in it is incapable of supporting SSH? Also is there a feature navigator tool for hardware devices? That is to say is there a tool out there that will tell me what IOS's a hardware device is capable of running? For example let's say I need to see if a VG 202 is capable of running a K9 image is there a look up tool out there which would help me ascertain this infor mation? I can't seem to find one. Thanks so much for your help so far!

  • Can you drop iOS 4 support for an app already in the App Store? What iOS version is good to target?

Now that AIR supports the MinimumOSVersion key, apps can set a specific minium version they will support. It wasn't available before, so it ended up in the app store with the default of 4.0.
Any device that AIR supported had to have ARMv7 anyways and I believe all ARMv7 iOS devices can update to at least 5.1.1, so would it be an issue with apple to drop iOS 4 support? Any device that could get the app before can upgrade to iOS 5+ for free to support it.
Only a small portion of people are still running iOS 4, and I get the feeling that most of those are folks with ancient ARMv6 devices that can't upgrade past iOS 4 and could never use the app anyways due to ARMv6. So why bother with testing for iOS 4 and possibly having to give iOS 4 related tech support?
If supporting 5+, is it a good idea to target 5.0 or 5.0.1 or 5.1 or 5.1.1 or what?

Any of the non-user generated resources is in the tmp or Cache folders (which are not backed up) on mine, so that shouldn't be an issue in my case.
I looked at the wiki for iOS 5 and i didn't see any developer-related features other than that 'do not back up' thing that were added between sub-versions of iOS 5, so maybe I should target 5.0?
I'm still wondering, how do you handle dropping older versions of iOS? Surly developers can't be expected to maintain support for discontinued versions of iOS forever just because their app has been around for awhile? Apps eventually need to advance and use new OS features and require performance of current devices. Just set the MinimumOSVersion key to 5.0 or whatever and that's it?

Normally I would  use "transport input ssh" - ie. no telnet - but this is the only way I've been able to use the MGMT interface so far and I'd rather not be using Telnet at all.
    Thanks

Quicker than expected - quiet morning so far ;-)
    #sh ip ssh
    SSH Enabled - version 2.0
Authentication timeout: 60 secs; Authentication retries: 5
Minimum expected Diffie Hellman key size : 1024 bits
IOS Keys in SECSH format(ssh-rsa, base64 encoded):
    ssh-rsa xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx...
I checked the SSH traffic from my client - I send SYN, get back RST - definitely an active refusal of the connection.
If MGMT Gi0/0 does support SSH, it's clear I'm missing something to enable it.
IOS is Cisco's current recommended for this platform and in the recommended installation mode
Switch Ports Model              SW Version        SW Image              Mode
    *    1 52    WS-C3650-48PD      03.03.05SE        cat3k_caa-universalk9 INSTALL
If I move the management IP address off Gi0/0 and onto the management VLAN interface (management is then through Gi1/1/1 where the VLAN is trunked), it works fine and I can SSH to the switch with no other changes to the configuration (of course subsequently I want to disable Telnet)
I know can eliminate patching and routing/forwarding of the traffic as issues given Telnet and PING can reach the management IP address under both configurations. It's as if the MGMT interface just doesn't allow SSH by default (or possibly not at all)
If you have a working configuration you'd be happy to share, I'd appreciate it.
    Thanks again
    David
