IOS7 won't let me set simple passcode

I have an iPhone 5 that I just upgraded to iOS7. Before the upgrade, I had a simple passcode on the phone. After the upgrade, it asked me for a FindMyPhone password, and I gave it a complex password (I don't know if this is part of the problem or not, just mentioning for completeness).
Now, I cannot set 'simple passcode' (the option is grayed out).
How do I get simple passcode re-enabled?

My passcode issue is quite different than above, but thought I'd give this a try. After installing iOS 7 (and skipping the passcode step), my iPhone 4 is locked with a complex passcode even though I never created a complex passcode on my phone.
I had forgotten my Apple ID passcode, so a rep had me reset it and that works online, but not on my phone. How can I get into my own phone without a factory restore & loss of data?

IPad won't let me set up Microsoft Exchange for Gmail

My new iPad 3 won't let me set up a Microsoft Exchange acct for Gmail. In Settings / Mail, Contacts, Calendars / Add Account / Microsoft Exchange I add all of the info, hit next and nothing happens - it just takes me back to the same screen with Next grayed out. I followed the same steps on my iPod Touch and had no problems. Any help would be appreciated.

Quit the settings app and restart the iPad - then try again.
Go to the home screen first by tapping the home button. Double tap the home button and the task bar will appear with all of your recent/open apps displayed at the bottom. Tap and hold down on any app icon until it begins to wiggle. Tap the minus sign in the upper left corner of the app that you want to close. Restart the iPad.
Restart the iPad by holding down on the sleep button until the red slider appears and then slide to shut off. To power up hold the sleep button until the Apple logo appears and let go of the button.
If the email account is appearing on the iPad - delete it and then try adding it back on.

Business catalyst won't let me set up email with .media extension

I have this domain - www.thinkchurch.media that I am using with a business catalyst hosted site. It will not let me set up an email with this domain for some reason even though I have the right hosting plan. It says, "This cannot be an email address."

We currently have a bug that the email accounts doesn't allow email accounts with more recent domain extensions. File a ticket or reach out to LiveChat support with a list of mailboxes you want and we can create them from our back-end. You won't be able to see these mailboxes in our Email accounts interface, but they'll work properly once they're created from our backend.

Monitors are the same, but Mac won't let me set them the same in Preference

Odd issue.
Two exactly the same Samsung Synchmaster monitors connected to the Mac Pro to make an extended display.
The monitor on the right never has the right resolution. When I set it's resolution to the same as the left monitor (1280x800), it looks awful.
Finally, I checked under Preferences>Displays, and under "Arrangement" I see that the computer has the left monitor set to the right little blue box dimensions (widescreen) but the blue box on the right is more square. How do I change the blue box on the right to match the dimensions of the one on the left?

Okay, scratch that. I set the one on the right to 1280x800, and now the blue box matches the size, but it looks terrible! I mean, really bad. Yet the same monitor with the same resolution settings on the left side looks fantastic.
Plus, the right side monitor won't let me choose 60 MHz, whereas that is the setting for the one on the left.
Any ideas what's going on here?

Won't Let me Set up iCloud Email

I am trying to set up an @me.com account with iCloud, but it won't let me. When I try it on Mac, it won't create, it will go back to the "Choosing your email" page, and when I do it on iOS, it says "There was a problem turning on your email, try again", and when I try again, it just repeats the same thing. I really need this email address and I don't know why it will not let me.

Is the Mac running OS X Lion (10.7.2) or higher? If so, you can add your account by going to System Preferences>iCloud, signing into your iCloud account, then checking Mail. This will automatically add the existing email account.

Mac and iPod won't let me set up iCloud Mail. Server not responding.

When I first got in to iCloud, my Mail app on my Mac and iPod were fine, but when U went back to them some time later, they kept requesting my password and then not connecting to the servers. I deleted the account from all Mail apps and tried to set them back up again, but now it says the servers aren't responding and won't let me continue setting up my accounts.
I can send and recieve emails from icloud.com.
Any help?

I've just had another look at it, and it seems it doesn't save your password so keeps signing out before it gets a chance to connect with the servers. The tickbox next to the Mail icon under the iCloud section in System Preferences keeps deselecting itself. This also happens when trying to log into icloud.com, where it says "Keep me signed in", it doesn't keep you signed in.

I can't get into my phone! It won't let me type my passcode.

My iPhone 4 was on voiceover (don't know how) and now it won't let me put anything into the passcode feild. So I can't get into my phone at all. I just got this phone yesterday. Can anyone help me?

If you're worried it might do it again you could try turning off the passcode lock and then turning it back on. That might help. If it does it again, you could try backing up your iPhone and restoring it in iTunes.

Quirky LoadVars won't let me set Send variables in function

So, my last host died at the beginning of the month and I
just got everything migrated to a new host. I was trying to get
back to work on this Flash project that logins via PHP to a mySQL
database. The login script stopped working. I have discovered that
_global.getcards.THISVARIABLE will not let me set THISVARIABLE, but
this only happens from the login function. I can write a test
function with copy/pasted code from the broken one and it will
work. I am pretty sure this function worked before. If I copy/paste
the whole function it breaks again, but the set data is at the
beginning of the function, so I don't understand how that could
change it. . .

So I just got back from a long weekend and I found the

The commented _parent.play() breaks it. I don't understand
why, because calledFromTransition is not true and based on the
trace that code snippet is not being invoked by this function call
(calledFromTransition is used in a later call). Can someone please
explain why?

I have recently copied my iTunes to a new computer using the instructions from Apple site, via an external drive. My iPod will not sync on the new computer. The option to sync automatically is greyed out and it won't let me set it. How do I resolve?

I have recently installed iTunes on a new Windows 8 laptop and copied from my old XP system using an external drive. This all went ok. The problem is that i can't get my iPod classic to sync on the new laptop. I did a factory reset and re-install. It still won't sync. When I hit the 'sync' icon it does nothing. In the Options screen the option to automatically sync is greyed out and doesn't allow me to enter anything in the box. How can i resolve this?

You need iTunes on the computer. There is no iTunes for your phone. See:

Forgotten Restrictions Passcode Help
You will need to restore your device as New to remove a Restrictions passcode. Go through the normal process to restore your device, but when you see the options to restore as New or from a backup, be sure to choose New.

Blackberry Curve 8530 won't let me set up my email

When I go to the Setup file, thre is no icon for my email set up. When I go to the setup wizard for my email, it doesn't give me the option for my personal email - only for a corporate account. Help! I want my email on my phone!

First, try to remove the battery and keep it out for at least 30 seconds. Then put it back in and allow your device to restart. See if that works. If not, lets try something else. We will now resend your service books. Normally, you do this under Email Settings, but obviously, you can not do that route. So, you need to resend your host routing table. On your device, go to Options>Advanced Options>Host Routing Table. Now, press the Menu key(button to the left of the trackpad) and select Register Now. It will take a moment, but your device will be re-registered with the Blackberry Internet Service and you should recieve your service books, which will give you the option for Email Settings. Thank you for visiting Apple Support Communities.
It sounds like you have a fingerprint setup with Touch ID but it is not unlocking the iPhone or is able to be used for iTunes purchases.
Those are settings that can individually be enabled or disabled.
(Note you won't have Apple Pay on an iPhone 5s.)
For further troubleshooting, please see the article that came from:

Get help with Touch ID
Make sure that you're using the latest version of iOS.
Make sure that your fingers and the Home button are clean and dry.*
Cover the Home button completely. Don't tap too quickly, don't press down hard, and don't move your finger while Touch ID is scanning. Make sure that your finger touches the metal ring around the Home button.
If you're using a case or screen protector, make sure it doesn't cover the Home button or the surrounding ring. If it does, remove the case or screen protector and try again.
Tap Settings > Touch ID & Passcode and make sure that iPhone Unlock or iTunes & App Store is on. Also make sure that you've enrolled one or more fingerprints.
Try enrolling a different finger.
If you can't enroll any of your fingers, take your device to an Apple Retail Store, Apple Authorized Service Provider, or contact AppleCare for help.

How can I get my Pro-100 to print 12x12 page size? It won't let me set that size.

I use 12x12 paper for scrapbooking. Every time I set the paper size for 12x12, the printer says to choose the A3 size (11 x 16). But then there's a wide margin of white left over. How can I get the printer to print edge to edge?

You need to buy a paper trimer. Office Depot has several to choose from. Believe me and save your self a lot of headache and just get the trimmer. Print what you want on a larger size paper that the Pro-100 accepts and trim away.
Are you using a post editor like Photoshop Elements? If not I highly recommend you buy it, too. There are others, some are even free, but PSE is the best.

I updated Firefox to version 29.0.1 and now it won't let me set a home page.

When I open Firefox, it opens to the Trovi search page, which I don't want. I tried setting the home page by opening the site that I want and dragging its tab to the Home icon, but it didn't change the home page. I also cannot change the default search engine. Selecting a different search engine in the drop-down box does nothing.

It could be the work of one of your add-ons, or even add / mal-ware.
