Ipad 2 VGA no way to charge and do a presentation

As my presentations are for an entire day I need to charge during breaks because the VGA cable unlike the HDMI cable has no extra connector allowing charging while using adapter.  I saw some description on internet of someone adding a USB cale to the VGA adapter at the dock connector side and stating it works perfectly.  I am no good in doing such DIY jobs.  Why can't a solution be provided by apple???? Can anyone help with this issue?

unlike the HDMI cable
You could try the HDMI cable & attach a hdmi to vga adapter to it.  You would still have the extra connector for power.

  • I plugged my IPAd 2 into my computer to charge and it said i could sync my ipad 2 to my ipad 1 so i did for music ect yet when i went back on my ipad 2 ALL of my important notes i took for school were gone off of notes! how do i get them back!?

I plugged my IPAD 2 into my computer to charge and a window popped up saying (through itunes) i could sync from my ipad 1 to get music and other photos ect. I pressed yes and then i went onto my ipad 2 after it was done and ALL of my VERY IMPORTANT notes for my school reading were GONE. HELP!? how do i recover my notes?!

Did you create these notes in the iPad notes App ... I assume?
This support article will explain how you can restore from a backup - which is what you have to do in order to have any chance of recovering your note.
How to backup and restore from a backup
    http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1766
But you have to remember, that you will lose any of the notes that you have taken since the date of the last backup. If you synced your iPad last week, then you will lose a whole week of current notes - or whatever notes you have created since your last backup. When you restore from a backup - you restore everything in that backup onto the iPad - that was on the iPad on the time and date of the backup.
If you backup every day, then all of your notes should be recoverable from the backup - except for any notes that you took since you last backed up. There is no foolproof way to recover everything once you start taking more notes or creating new documents or whatever that you do in an app unless you are syncing those notes with iCloud and backing up all of the time or unless the app is set to sync with iCloud as you work on the files - like in Pages, Numbers or Keynote - Apple's iWorks apps.
If you decide to restore from an iTunes backup you should turn off at sync before you try restoring because iTunes will want to backup your iPad right away when you plug it in and you will lose your old or last backup.

    Hello TereV
Try doing a reset on your iPad by holding the Sleep/Wake button and Home button for ten seconds and release and you should see the Apple logo come and power on. Check out the articles below for further troubleshooting options.

  • The ipad 4 is taking forever to charge and will not charge with some chargers?

My sons I pad 4 is taking forever (hours) to charge and will not charge with some of the plugs?

Are you using the iPad charger or a different charger, like an iPhone charger?
     Cheers, Tom

  • My ipad is taking too long to charge and I am using original charger

I am using original charge but my ipad is taking for every to charge.  Its been 6 hrs and the ipad only charged 50%

This sounds like it could potentially be an issue with your battery, however, is the actuall plug that you put into the wall socket the same one that came with your iPad? The reason for asking this is that the iPad requires 2.1 amps in order for it to optimally charge, the iPhone charger has less amps so will therefore take a lot longer to charge.

  • HT201263 iPad screen went black when fully charged and would not come out of sleep mode, turn on or off and did nothing when connected to USB port?

I really do not want to restore this iPad if I can find another solution.  I had to let the battery drain completely in order to prepare it for restore, so I'm prepared to do that if I must.

    Reset iPad
Hold down the Sleep/Wake button and the Home button at the same time for at least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears
Note: Data will not be affected.

  • IPad won't overheated, won't charge and won't turn on

I have booked an appointment at the Genius bar for Friday but I'm not entirely sure what I have to bring/what they will do for me? Do I bring the box and charger and stuff and if I get a replacement is only the device itself replaced. Is it also possible that they will not repiar/replace it at all.

  • [Battery]-About Meaning of Cycle and the Way of Charging

    Dear Apple support team/Experienced users,
I have a macbook pro 13" version Middle 2012 a question about the meaning of cycle term of battery in macbook pro.
After reading manual and refer to information on the internet, here is my understanding about cycle term.
    * After using all the power of battery, then charging fully, it is a cycle.
    * Cycle also means:
1/ Firstly, battery level is 100%. (On Monday)
2/ Secondly, use battery to the level 50%. (On Monday)
3/ Thirdly, recharge macbook pro to the level 100%. (On Monday)
4/ Do from step 1 to step 3 for the next day. (On Tuesday)
After receving level 100% on this day(On Tuesday) , we made one cycle.
The more cycle we can do, the worse battery life we can get.
So i have a question related to the way of charging and creating cycle.
    Example:
1/ On Monday, i have battery level at 100% (From the first day of current month)
2/ Then i use to battery level 50%
3/ After that i charge the battery to level 98% (not up to 100%)
4/ Do from step 2 to step 3 until the end of current month.
5/ On the first day of next month, i use all power of battery. Then i let my macbook pro sleep up to 5 hours.
After that i do fully charge for macbook pro.
At this time, i made a cycle for my battery.
Would you please give me your idea about the way of understanding about the cycle i had up to now?
I am looking forward to seeing your replies as soon as possible.
Once again, thanks for your reviewing my question, dear sirs/madams.
    Best regards,
    Newbietomac84

    Dear sir,
    Thanks for your reply.
Your saying make me set my mind at rest on battery issue. But i also wait for the reply from Mr.Csound1 or other people who has the same thought.
Because if his saying is correct, maybe i should not need to care about the way of charging, but keep its level not to reach 0% (maybe 10% for more safely than 1%).
Because at that time, according to his information, i understand that battery chip is counting the percentage of charging, and at the time the total number of charge is come to 100%, it will increase count number by 1 and take care of counting charge level by its self again.
    Example:
(First time of charge is 50%(from level 50% to 100%); second time of charge is 30%(from level 50% to 80%); third time of charge is 20%(from level 50% to 70%))
=> Total number reached to 100% and battery chip will increase count number by 1
=> Battery chip will start to check percentage of charging for next time as it made before. (start checking charge number from level 0%)
In case of his saying is not correct (confirmed by other people here), i will keep continue charging battery as written before in my first post (also same as your encouragement).
Once again, thank you for your reply dear Mr.Network 23.

  • Should your ipad be off when charging and how long does it take

Should ipad be on or off when charging and how long does it take?

You can turn it off and charge it or turn it on  and charge it. No need to turn it off actually.
    scgirl195 wrote:

It depends on the charge level before start charging.

  • My iPad air is taking FOREVER to charge?

My iPad was charging perfectly about two days ago and then all of a sudden it started taking AGES to charge. At first I thought it wasn't charging at all, then I realized that it was just taking SO long. The little charging symbol does not show up on the top of the screen but if I put it off, it does turn back on when I plug it in. I've tried restarting my iPad, changing chargers, airplane mode while charging, and pretty much anything else I could find on the internet. Last night I left it OFF while it was charging so it would charge faster, it went from 3% to 30%. So obviously it DOES charge but it took 9 HOURS for it to egg up 27%. This is getting really annoying and I've been needing it for school. I've also been I able to update it because the charge is too low. Any reason why or quick fixes?!

Here are a few things that may interfere with charging.
    1. Bad charger. Are you using the original Apple charger that came with the device? Try a different Apple charger.
    2. Bad cable. Try a different cable and be sure it is an Apple or certified name brand cable.
    3. Dirt, fuzz, or lint in the connection port. Check and carefully clean with a wooden toothpick if necessary.
    4. Software glitch. Reset your device. Press and hold the Home and Sleep buttons simultaneously until the Apple logo appears. Let go of the buttons and let the device restart.
    5. Hardware failure. Make an appointment at an Apple Store to have your device examined by a technician. Or contact Apple Support.

  • Best way to charge battery of macbook air

i have a macbook air 13 inch 256 GB SSD. it is early 2014 version . i bought it in dec 18 2014. i have had 11 charge cycles up until now. the issue is that my battery full charge capacity has dropped from 7280 mah (100%) to 6818 may (95%) in a span of just 9 days . i fail to understand how it can be normal? my battery usage is normal . i charge my battery and take precautions as not to overcharge it . so once my battery is 100 % charged then i disconnect the cable and let the MAC run on battery. i do so because i have heard from many people not to keep the machine always plugged on charge. i want to know whether the % drop in my battery flu capacity happened because of my faulty charging practice? . please some expert tell me as what is the correct way to charge and use the MAC battery as i want to use it in a proper way . there is no constraint in my case as i normally use my MAC at a place where i keep it plugged all the time.
    thanks

    Hello!
This sharp drop in F.C.C. isn't normal no matter how you use your battery. The degradation of the F.C.C. should occur slowly over the span of months, not days.
