Ipad 2 wifi issues since updating to ios version 4.3.3..

I have tried everything to remedy this on my own but to no avail.  I am picking up a great signal strength from my wifi on my ipad 2, but I just don't seem to get enough 'juice' to load a webpage.  I seem to be able to check email every now and then....this is incredibly frustrating.  This is my first Apple product that has wifi (have had ipods for a while) and I am not liking this at all.  I use my ipad 2 for everything now, I need help!

Glad/sad to see it's not just me.  Hopefull they will publish a fix for the last fixsoon.  I've tried all the remedies on CultoOfMac, to no avail either.
iPad1 and iPhone4 both TKO'ed at this point.  Very sad to see it happen in the middle of a session or appstore download!!!

  • Cannot connect to my WIFI network since updating to IOS 7.0

Since updating to IOS 7.0, I have been unable to connect to my (or any) wifi network.
I have tried every suggestion / help from the forums / web searching.
I have tried different wifi connections (all the same - unable to connect to network).
Waited for the 7.0.3 to see if this has fixed the problem, but no..
I'm extremely frustrated and would like Apple to help.. I'm not the only person with this problem - and I haven't seen a single response from apple regarding this.
Since I am now out of the 1 year warranty - I will be pursuing this through the 'sale of goods' act in the UK if I don't receive a satisfactory response - I expect my device to last longer than a couple of years and consider the ipad broken as a result of the update...
Have been very happy with my apple devices up to this point, but loosing patience now!

    Some things to try first:
    1. Turn Off your iPad. Then turn Off (disconnect power cord for 30 seconds or longer) the wireless router & then back On. Now boot your iPad. Hopefully it will see the WiFi.
    2. Go to Settings>Wi-Fi and turn Off. Then while at Settings>Wi-Fi, turn back On and chose a Network.
    3. Change the channel on your wireless router (Auto or Channel 6 is best). Instructions at http://macintoshhowto.com/advanced/how-to-get-a-good-range-on-your-wireless-netw ork.html
    4. Go into your router security settings and change from WEP to WPA with AES.
    5.  Renew IP Address: (especially if you are droping internet connection)
        •    Launch Settings app
        •    Tap on Wi-Fi
        •    Tap on the blue arrow of the Wi-Fi network that you connect to from the list
        •    In the window that opens, tap on the Renew Lease button

Note - When troubleshooting wifi connection problems, don't hold your iPad by hand. There have been a few reports that holding the iPad by hand, seems to attenuate the wifi signal.
You may have many apps open which can possibly cause the slowdown and possibly the loss of wifi. In iOS 4-6 double tap your Home button & at the bottom of the screen you will see the icons of all open apps. Close those you are not using by pressing on an icon until all icons wiggle - then tap the minus sign. For iOS 7 users, there’s an easy way to see which apps are open in order to close them. By double-tapping the home button on your iPhone or iPad, the new multitasking feature in iOS 7 shows full page previews of all your open apps. Simply scroll horizontally to see all your apps, and close the apps with a simple flick towards the top of the screen.

  • TS1398 Still having problems with my ipad wifi connection since upgrading to IOS 6.  Can Apple do something about it the soonest possible time.  I don't have this kind of problem using IOS 5.1.1 Can you at least put back the 5.1.1 if you cant find a solut

So disappointed with IOS 6.  I'm having weak wifi connection since upgrading to it.  Can Apple do something about it? Can you at least reset it to IOS 5.1.1?

Sorry Jim for the wrong question because I'm getting frustated with my IPAD since I can't use it for surfing internet with a faster speed.  Ipad was very convenient to use until this IOS 6 upgrade.  Tried all the suggestions in the forums but still gets back to weak wifi connection.

  • To all experiencing burn issues since updating to last version of iTunes

To all that have been experiencing difficulties burning music since updating to iTunes6:
After reviewing this discussion board it seems obvious to me -I am not a technician but nonetheless- that the problems that we are experiencing are due to some kind of incompatibility between our PCs and Apple.
While some here have been very helpful in trying to resolve these issues, I find it disgusting that Apple does nothing. Itunes customer support do nothing. We are left to fend for ourselves, frustrated by the amount of money we have invested in building up our music collections in order fot them to be held hostage because Apple and/or iTunes will not address the issue.
Did anybody bother reading the software license upon updateing to the earliest version? Is it too early to talk of "class action" suits?
It seems logical to me that we will be heard better by Apple if we speak as a collective and not individuals. Maybe that way we could put more pressure on them to either fix what needs to be fixed or refund the money we have invested in iTunes.
As for me, iTunes has already lost me as a client. I won't download any more music because there is nothing I can do with it. That doesn't seem to matter to them. I suppose this is what happens when you get too big for your own britches!
Any ideas on how we can take down the bully????

Lost data from iTunes on upgrade? See Empty/corrupt library after upgrade/crash.
Restored an older backup to the device? If you're lucky your most recent photos may be in your Photo Steam.
Otherwise you may need to paint a fuller picture of the problem...

  • My wifi stinks since updating to iOS 6.0.2

Since updating my iPhone 5 to iOS 6.0.2 my wifi is horrible. It will show that I have full signal and full wifi signal but my phone will not download anything. I have to restart my phone to get it to do anything. What do you guys think? Any fix yet?

I was thinking the 6.1 was going to solve all my problems (4 hours battery life and wifi useless) but no!! I'm done with this phone, and for make it worst, in my country there is no Apple Store. I bought it in Movistar (mobile network), and they said I have to leave the phone in "study" for more than a week... They need a week to note that the battery life is 4 hours! What I'm supposed to do more than a week without a phone? My phone was working fine with the 6.0.1

  • AirPrint from iPad not working since update to iOS 6.1

I am unable to print from my iPad3 since I updated to iOS 6.1 last weekend.  I have the Lantronix xPrintServer Home Edition which had been allowing me to print to my networked Brother HL-5250DN as if it were an AirPrint printer.  Now, I get the message, "No AirPrint Printers Found" when I try to select a printer in the Printer Options menu.  Is there a way to roll-back this update???

It's probably best to contact Lantronix. From the AirPrint Basics page:
"You also need an AirPrint-enabled printer listed in this article. Printers not listed in this article are not supported by AirPrint."
The xPrintServer is not listed on the AirPrint Basics page.

  • Remote Desktop Protocol v8.08 on IOS (IPAD) - constant disconnects since update to new version.

I was having major issues with RDP 8.08 update on my IPAD in July 2014.  Connect to my remote Windows 7 desktop was successful, however, screen refresh peformance was very slow and disconnects occured often. Was referred to KB2570170 and applied
the regedit change to add DisableLargeSendOffLoad = 1.  This however had no real affect.  It was suggested that I recycle my IPAD.  This did resolve the problem.
Should a recycle be performed more often ?

    Hi,
Based on the description, it seems to be a network issue on iPad side. In addition, I think we do not need to recycle iPad more often.
    Best Regards.

  • WiFi issues since updating to Mavericks

Having recently bought my MacBook Air, it came with Mountain Lion as the preinstalled OS. I decided to update to Mavericks last night, and installed from the Mac App Store. The install was obviously simple, but it has thrown up an issue that I did not anticipate.
I am able to access WiFi at all times, but only an active internet connection whilst in the Recovery mode. Whilst running Mountain Lion I had no issues, and my router settings have not changed in this time. I have done one reinstall of Mavericks whilst in Recovery mode to see if that would fix the issue, but still no joy.
Not exactly the experience I had hoped for, and at the moment I am almost ready to throw in the towel. I know this issue is not with my router or network config. It is the MacBook Air, AirPort is an extremely poor way to connect to a wireless network as far as I am concerned.
Any help is much appreciated. I was thinking that maybe a complete shutdown might fix this issue; so I will try that now and see if a full system reboot will jog the MacBook into connecting to the web, rather than stalling on the WiFi network and going no further.

  • TS1398 Trouble accessing O2 wifi hotspots since updating to IOS 6

Has anyone else got this problem, I updated my iphone 4 last week and now can't access the O2 wifi hotspots in McDonalds etc.?

    Update:
Took my ipad into the Genius Bar today and they sent me home with a new one. He tried resetting two or three different things while I was there and after all his resets, he couldn't get it to even connect to their wifi network.

  • Why is my iPad working slower since updating with IOS  7

I have recently uploaded the new update for iPad and it is now significantly slower and I liked the old themes better, this latest update has made downloading and surfing really slow anyone else experiencing this or is it just me?

    (A) Reset iPad
Hold down the Sleep/Wake button and the Home button at the same time for at least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears
Note: Data will not be affected.
    (B) Reset all settings
    Settings>General>Reset>Reset all settings
Note: Data will not be affected but settings will be reset.

  • Wifi issue since update

Since I updated to 2.1 I can no longer connect to a hot spot that I used to be able to.anyone else have this or know of a fix?cheers

You can try selecting the network and then select Forget this Network.
This will erase the network settings from your iPhone.
Try joining the network again as a new network.

  • Anyone else having battery issues since updating to iOS 7?

After updating my iPhone 4S to iOS7, I noticed a horrible drain on my battery! From 100% to 62% in less than two hours... I have tried shutting off Bluetooth and even disabling refreshing background apps, and have my screen brightness set at less than 45% but it is still draining fast... Is anyone else having this problem and does anyone have any idea why?

Okay it seems I was right.
After I originaly posted here I unplugged my phone and let it drain to about 30% before charging it back up to full.  I went home and my 5 year old son and I played on it, including an pretty memory intensive human anatomy app for kids -- sometimges plugged in, sometimes not.  Used it A LOT last night, playing with settings, cheking out the new auto update feature, notifications, etc.  I didn't end up turning any of the new features off in settings, and even enabled a few new features.  Then, as usual, I plugged it in when I went to bed and let it run a clock/alarm program (Rise) all night.
This morning I drove to work (about 20 minutes) with turn-by-turn navigation running and a podcast playing in the background -- not plugged in to power.  When I got to work the battery showed 98%.  Leaving the phone unplugged, I have been playing that video podast for half an hour -- with a pause for a phone call set up by Siri -- and battery is currently showing 93%.
I think it's going to be okay.  Everybody breathe.

  • Issues with wifi since updating to iOS 6 on iPad 3.

I'm having wifi issues since updating to iOS 6 on my iPad 3. I can't access certain sites and get error messages such as 'servor can't connect' and 'request timed out.' Although some sites work fine. I can't access apps which require internet such as facebook, iMessenger, face time and games which need internet access. I can't use iTunes or App store and get the message 'can't connect to iTunes try again.' All these problems started after I updated to iOS 6. I found that the iPad works fine at another location on a different wifi but not at home. The home internet is not the issue as laptops, phones and iPad 1 and 2 all work fine on the internet here. I took my iPad to the apple store with no help and no useful advice so came back again and they offered me a hardware swap which I took. I now have the new iPad but the issue still remains. I have tried everything and I have done everything that has been suggested. Some things I have done are reset network settings, reset all settings, changed wifi dns, changed HTTP proxy to auto, closed all apps and re-opened, fully shut down the iPad, turned off the wifi router and restored the iPad several times. I have searched for help and advice and found that there are many complaints about iOS 6 on the iPad 3 when it comes to wifi. What else is there for me to do to fix this problem? I can't use internet or apps that require internet, basically my iPad is of no use at the moment. Do I have to wait for a new software update which will address this problem?

Are you losing the connection to iTunes on the iPad or the computer? You are saying that iTunes is updated. Of course iTunes is updated when you update the iOS software. That's a no brainer.
If you mean that iTunes is updated on the computer, that has absolutely nothing whatsoever to do with downloading and updating apps on the iPad itself so changing the date on the iPad, signing in and out of the stores on the iPad .... Doing any of that on the iPad would have nothing to do with iTunes on your computer.
If .... you have not been able to connect to the iTunes or app stores at all on the iPad - try this ...
Settings>Privacy>Location Services>System Services (swipe to the bottom of the page to find this)>Location Based iAds>Off.
If the downloads are stalled or "waiting" - try these suggestions.
Reboot the iPad by holding down on the sleep and home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider - let go of the buttons.
Make sure that you do not have a stalled download in iTunes - a song or podcast .... if you have a download in there that did not finish, complete that one first. Only one thing can download at a time on the iPad so that could be what is causing the problem.
If you can't connect at all - you can also try rebooting your router. Unplug it from power for about 30 seconds and then plug it in again.

  • WiFi issues with iPhone 4S & ios 6 update

    Okay here is my issue...
I've been reading alot of issues that people have with connecting to WiFi with their new iPhone 5, iPhone 4S or other devices but I have no trouble connecting to WiFi at all. My problem is that WiFi wont 'work'. The WiFi I'm hooked up to at home doesn't let me do basically anything that requires internet.
I can get on the Facebook app fine and my newsfeed loads but I can't see Facebook notifications, upload photos or videos, read inboxes, look at photos, its very slow etc.
I can't get into the App Store or iTunes at all. It says it 'Cannot Connect to iTunes Store' when I try.
I can't upload photos onto Instagram
Currently I'm into the Simpsons Tapped Out game and I can't go onto it at all.
And there are a few other minor issues I am having.
All these things I can do with my Telstra 3G network however and it ***** because I want to use and do all these things but I have to use my 3G and I've just recently gone over my data monthly usage and been charged extra which I'm not happy about.
So is anyone else having these issues or is it just me and I'm stuffed? I'd REALLY love some help.
I've been lost with what to do because as some are having WiFi issues as well, mine isnt the same and it's hard to find answers or just other discussions.
    Please Help!
    Thankyou.

I am having the same issue since updating to iOS 6.  It has been noticeable on my iPhone 4S and a little less noticeable on my iPad 3 but I think it is happening on the iPad too.  Very annoying problem.  One way to get it to work better is to re-boot your phone.  It will work for awhile then and then eventually not be working anymore and you will need to re-boot again.
Just to be clear with everyone - the iPhone looks like it is connected to the wireless, it gets an IP address but can't transmit any data.  Device:  iPhone 4S, OS:  iOS6

  • Since updating to iOS 6 on my ipad i am unable to connect to the internet, itunes or the app store. I have tried many suggestions about changing the dat, logging in/out of itunes etc but nothing has worked! Please help :)

Since updating my ipad to iOS 6 a few days ago i can't seem to get onto the internet, the app store or itunes, nor can i update to iOS7!! I sent an email to apple support and they said we don't handle these issues and redirected me back to the help forums which i have already seen and tried everything other people have suggested and nothing has worked (changing date, signing in/out of itunes etc). When i go to app store the screen is blank, in itunes it just keeps saying loading but never gets anywhere and same with the internet! When i go to settings to update to iOS 7.0.4 it says software update unavailable, try again later. Not sure what to do now. Nothing works, can't use my apps, facebook, music etc. Will contact apple again and try get some answers. But thanks for any info

Some Wi-Fi losses may stem from a problematic interaction between Wi-Fi and cellular data connections. Numerous users have found that turning off Cellular Data in Settings gets their Wi-Fi working again.
