IPad cannot log into Game Centre

Hi,
Anyone else having issues logging into Game Centre? I can log in on my 5S but both iPad Air & Air 2 refuses to log in. I get a "cannot connect to server" error. All three devices are on the same WiFi network.
I have checked Apple's System Status page and it shows that all is fine. if I can log in on my iPhone why can I not log in on my iPad's?

  • When logging into game centre using my Apple ID, the game centre nick name profile shown is not mine and all progress data is lost. What happened?

    Out of the blue the game centre asks me to sign in all of a sudden when I started one of my games. I sign in with my Apple ID as usual it logs me in but with some weird game centre nickname which is a bunch of random characters and not mine. All my game progress is lost.
    I already tried everything people in other similar threads suggested:
    Logging out of game centre in its settings, restarting, logging back in using Apple ID.
    Logging out of game centre in its settings, logging back in using my correct game centre nickname instead of Apple ID, tells me Apple ID not found...
    Tried changing my game center nick name in the game centre settings, it tells me that my nick name is in use.
    I tried everything people said, I even checked my Apple ID account to see if I can access game centre profile somewhere... But nothing.
    What is going on? Why did my nick name change? Why did I loose all my game progress? Apple support explain.

    From your post I understand that on March 11th you were unable to download and connect to the iTunes Store.  The iTunes Store services were experiencing issues at that time, specifically when trying to make purchases.  You can see the history of the downtime in the link below for March 11.  If you continue to have issues connecting, please let me know.

  • New iPad; Cannot log into Verizon

    I purchased an iPad 2 w/ Verizon, and had no problems setting up the Verizon account or connectivity (I know for some that has been problem w/ Verizon). However, due to an issue w/ my first iPad 2, Apple gave me a new one.  At the store, they said whenI restored the new iPad it would find my Verizon account.  Therein lies the problem.  It did not work, and when I go to check my account, rather than getting the screen to log-in, I get the sign up for new account fields.  Any suggestions appreciated (before I burn a bunch of time w/ apple and/or Verizon).

    I have the same problem, as my iPad2 was replaced yesterday due to defect and when I tried to setup the Verizon account I had with the last one, the message says the account is already in use and to use a different e-mail account.  NO help from Verizon or store on why this one won't let me activate the Verizon service on this unit.

    I cannot log into the game center as I forgot my password and am not able to reset it because I keep getting the error that the info I submitted is incorrect.  If I ask for an email message, it doesn't come thru but friend requests are received on that same email.  If I use my second account, I can't use the same nickname and all my info is lost.  Any suggestions?

    1) I have contacted Verizon and they are not blocking "premium" or 3rd party text messages.
    2) The Apple ID login issue occurs regardless of wi-fi network location, or even if I am not on wi-fi at all. Router settings are irrelevant to this problem.
    3) I have already played around extensively with date and time settings. This did not fix any issues.
    Any other suggestions? I had another call with Apple support and they are of the opinion that I may need to have the phone totally replaced, which is unacceptable unless it is free of charge.

    Strange thing happening: I cannot log into iMessage using my appleid. I can use this same appleid to
    - buy apps on this very same ipad
    - sign in to iMessage on my iPhone (ios6) or mac (mavericks).
    The error my Ipad gives me is username / password not correct
    This is an ipad 2 16Gbyte 7.1.1.
    I tried to restart my ipad, restarted the iMessage app serveral times...
    Any idea ?!

    Tried all that.
    It is really weird, as the ipad having the issues is on the same network as the mac that works.
    the network (internet connectivity) just works (can surf, and buy apps (with the samen uid/pwd
    as appleID)
    The errormessage tells me that the username / password combination is wrong, nothing
    else, which is really weird. (really sure I have the correct UID/pwd ! (the one that works on
    the mac))
    the ipad is a wifi only one.

    Ok, I'm stumped. No matter what I try, I cannot log into my YouTube account using the iPad app.  I cannot login using the app on my iPhone either. I've tried the application specific password and that didn't work. Anyone have any ideas?

    Try a reset. Press & hold the Power and Home buttons together for 10+ seconds, ignoring the red power-off slider, until you see the Apple logo. If that does nothing to solve the issue, then it is likely times to restore the iPad to its factory settings.

    Found a note explaining the significance of these errors.
    It says:
    "NZE-28862: SSL connection failed
    Cause: This error occurred because the peer closed the connection.
    Action: Enable Oracle Net tracing on both sides and examine the trace output. Contact Oracle Customer support with the trace output."

    i cannot log into my Amazon account on iPad. when I try to enter my password, the reset password page comes up. I've logged out and back in, but the same thing happens. It happens on both my iPads, but not my laptop. I can log in on laptop.

    I have exactly the same problem since I installed ios 8.1. Wish I'd never done it as its made a complete mess of what was a working ipad3, now its unstable verging on unusable using Safari which was my prime reason for buying it.
    A simple cure would be to give us the ability to roll back to a working operating system i.e. ios 6 until this utter piece of £*&p that is ios 8 has been fully tested and is fit to use.
    However as a short time fix the Amazon app does work.

    Tap your Mail Account
    Change the Password
    Tap Done and it will reconnect

    You are getting this message because you are attempting to create an iCloud account on a PC.  You can only create iCloud account on an iOS device (iPhone, iPad or iPod Touch) running iOS 5 or higher, or on a Mac running OS X Lion (10.7.2) or higher.  After creating your account on one of these devices you will then be able to sign into the account on your PC.

    Yeah, got that with my son's Touch today. I had to give up my old Apple ID (not an email address) after my iOS 5 update on my iPad, so I had to "merge" it with my email address. Now he can't log in without setting up his profile again. This ultimately fails at the nickname point: says I need a password. There is no place to stick a password. Stupid.
    First the Lion slap in the face, now this iOS stuff... I'm losing my patience with Apple quickly.
