  • Calendar on iPad not updating after iOS8

After updating to ios8 i noticed that the calendar on My ipad wouldnt update events added on my i
Phone. Events added on the ipad do sync over to the iphone. I tried turning calendar sync on and off on the ipad, but that just added two entries for some events, after an warning that the calendars would be put together.
I'Ve checked all settings and they are the same on the iphone and the ipad. Push is used with 15min set if push doesent work.
I've also noiticed that the "sync animation" in the upper left corner, never spins when i open the calendar like it did before. It's like a bug in the calendar.
If i manually update the calendar, all events sync. Never had any issues with this before.

"I tried turning calendar sync on and off on the ipad, but that just added two entries for some events, after an warning that the calendars would be put together."
That is not the update bug, something that happens to you does not make sense. For example that sentence does not make sense if icloud setup properly, which tellls me it is not, but I can't pinpoint what is wrong.

  • IPad not updating BOOKS in iTunes

When I "delete" books from my iPad and then resync, they show back up - it seems as if the ones I'm deleting do NOT update iTunes.  Is anyone else experiencing this issue, and if so, has anyone found out how to correct this?

Thanks, but I already know how to individually choose which items to sync, if desired. My issue is once I DELETE a book from my iPad (say, if I've read it or just no longer want it in my library), it doesn't seem to also DELETE from my iTunes, and is still there among my listings. Sure, I can go to iTunes and also DELETE it there, but that seems redundant and wasteful, not to mention kind of defeating the purpose of having a "DELETE" option in the iPad app to begin with.

  • Ipad not updating iphone calendar

IPad calendar is not updating iPhone calendar but iPhone will update IPad. Has worked fine in past but not now. Can anyone help?

Reset the device. If it doesn't work try removing your account and adding it again. If that doesn't work then try restoring the device to factory settings by pluggin into iTunes and clicking "Restore".

  • Ipad not updating from app store?

    Hi,
My app icon says i need to update some apps but when i try 'updating all' it does nothing.
I even try updating separately and still nothing.
Even tried uninstalling and reinstalling and now i can't even download apps!
    Help!
    Any advice greatly appreciated.

    Saw this on another post.
Applecare Senior Advisor Txx Bxxx (I have his contact info in an email he just sent) just confirmed with me that the problem people are having with the App Store not loading is an apple issue with there servers, ITS NOT YOUR IPAD so don't go restoring it!   It's not happening to everyone however but they are looking into it, its really hit or miss.

Try this first - Reset the iPad by holding down on the sleep and home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider - let go of the buttons.
This works for some users. Not sure why.
Go to Settings>General>Date and Time> Set Automatically>Off. Set the date ahead by about a year. Then see if you can connect to the store.

  • TS3694 Why is the IPAD not updating to the new Operating System. I get this 3014 error all the time. Help please?

I just updating to the new operating system.  My Ipad is having problems updating to the new operatinng system IO6 I think.  Anyways I keep getting this 3014 error.  Is anyone else experiencing this problem?

I am having the same problem.  I think I saw something about VPN and not being able to communicate with Apple web site.  Do you have your protected company email on your phone?

  • Ipad not updating to latest os.  Stops part way.  What is the cause?

I am not sure at this time what version Ipad it is.  It is one of our work iPads issued to one of our staff.
Client had issues updating to Version 7.0
Client may revert back to factory settings and start again.
But any information would be helpful..

Try this  - Reset the iPad by holding down on the Sleep and Home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider - let go of the buttons. (This is equivalent to rebooting your computer.) No data/files will be erased. http://support.apple.com/kb/ht1430

  • Contacts on one iPad not updating

I connected my two iPads with Family Sharing.  I am unable to update contacts between them.  I've done extensive troubleshooting and nothing helps.  The problem iPad under Groups has All iCloud and Untitled Group 1 and they are somehow connected.  I am unable to remove the checkmark and delete Untitled Group 1 ... it doesn't show on the other iPad or in iCloud.com. Your help will be appreciated.

Posting my work-around should someone else have a similar situation.
I need to maintain separate iMessage accounts and like I previously mentioned, the calendar is syncing even though we are using two different iCloud accounts. In order to update the contacts on the iPad (that wasn't syncing), this is the work-around ... I exported the updated contacts .cvf file (to desktop).  I deleted all contacts (on the iPad that wasn't updating) and simply imported the .cvf file and we're all good.  Only downfall but not that big of a deal but I'll have to manually update from time to time.

  • Ipad not updating to ios7 correctly

the iPad I tried to update to ios7 stopped somewhere in the middle, and it's been a few hours now and it still hasn't moved. is this normal? or do I have to somehow start the update over?

You can try resetting your iPad by simultaneously pressing and holding the Home and Sleep/Wake buttons until you see the Apple Logo. This can take up to 15 seconds so be patient and don't release the buttons until the logo appears.
Try again to see if the problem persists.

  • First generation iPad not updating to 5.0

i have a first generation iPad and it keeps saying no update available. currently running 4.2. any suggestions on how to get to 5.0? I am udpating using my Mac, running iTunes 10.5.
thank you in advance for any suggestions!
    Ankur

If 10.5 doesn't prompt you to download the update, and the Check For Updates button doesn't detect it, then you could try downloading the update outside of iTunes and then press and hold the command key on your Mac when clicking the Check For Updates button which should let you navigate to the downloaded file - this is the link for iOS 5.0.1 for the iPad 1

  • Both iPhone 4s and Ipad not updating to 7.0  It keeps saying there is an error.  Any others having same problem?

I have tried a hard reset on both of them but it will not let me download them.  I have them plugged in and sometimes it starts to download but quits after about 30 seconds

Hence the problem with trying to download something the second it becomes available. You and millions of others are all trying to download it at exactly the same time. Just wait.

My iPad will not update to 5 at all. I don't even have the option of software update in settings. I've tried to update over iTunes and it doest work there either.

If you have an iPad 1, the max iOS is 5.1.1. For newer iPads, the current iOS is 6.1. The Settings>General>Software Update only appears if you have iOS 5.0 or higher currently installed.

If you are currently running an iOS lower than 5.0, connect the iPad to the computer, open iTunes. Then select the iPad under the Devices heading on the left, click on the Summary tab and then click on Check for Update.
Tip - If connected to your computer, you may need to disable your firewall and anitvirus software temporarily.  Then download and install the iOS update. Be sure and backup your iPad before the iOS update. After you update an iPad (except iPad 1) to iOS 6.x, the next update can be installed via wifi (i.e., not connected to your computer).

  • IMessage is not working on my iPad since updating to ios7.0.6

iMessage is not working on my iPad since updating to ios7.0.6
It worked well before doing the latest update.
iMessage on My iPhone 4 works fine after doing the same update.
Have done all the usual things plugging into computer, complete shut down and reboot, nothing has worked.
It keeps asking for password for Apple ID, I know I am entering the correct ID,  check network is also being displayed.
Nothing wrong with my network either, other iPads and iPhones are working fine on the same network.
    Would like this fixed ASAP.

I'm using same apple id for my ipad & ipod but after start using the same apple id on my ipad, i can't update my free software downloaded on both, it's showing "YOU CAN NOT UPDATE THIS SOFTWARE SINCE YOU HAVE NOT OWNED THE MAJOR VERSION OF THIS SOFTWARE" so how i can update my softwares on ipad & ipod using the same apple id

I think the issue is that iTunes (for whatever reason) thinks I have two Apple ID's.
also, to further complicate the issue, when i try updating the apps from my iPod the iTunes store is still recognizing my old hotmail Apple ID. So when I go to enter my password it won't accept because it doesn't match with the old Apple ID, even though it is the same account (just new Apple ID name).
I have tried signing out within the App Store and re-signing in with my Apple ID but it still brings up my old Apple ID name when I try to update.
