Ipad to itunes for a os x 10.4 user!

i've got a mac book pro currently running on mac os x 10.4, but want to use it with my ipad which needs os x 10.5 how do i update it? all i want is to transfer the music!

You have to purchase Leopard which is not easy to find. A better solution is to purchase the $30 Snow Leopard DVD and upgrade to SL. Upgrading to SL from Tiger can be tricky. I suggest cloning your current system to an external hard drive. Then boot from the SL DVD, erase your hard drive and install SL. When in the Setup Assistant be sure to configure your initial admin account using the same username on your Tiger system. You can then easily copy over the content in your Home folder. Reinstall your third-party applications.

H. I upgraded to iOS8.1.3, and now when I attempt to backup my iPad to iTunes for Windows, it keeps popping up an error message "not enough space on the computer". There is over 130Gb of space! I have updated iTunes, but no change. Is it an issue in the iOS update? Or am I doing something wrong?

When you upgraded, itunes should have put a copy of the itunes library database in a folder named *Previous iTunes Libraries* . If you upgraded itunes today it will show as
iTunes Library 2010-02-28.itl

Since I am not sure of your setup, look for the "Previous" folder on both your C: and F: drives.

When i sync my ipad to itunes I get a message on the screen 12 songs did not sync to ipad see itunes for more information. how do I determine what songs did not sync where in itunes is this information stored

the old version of itunes had a drop down box listing songs that did not sync newer version does not how can i see what songs did not sync, The box message on the screen says 19 items did not sync to your ipad, see itunes for more information. Where do I look??

If you are seeing an Apple ID that is not yours, then you have purchased content on your iPad that is tied to that Apple ID. You would need to know that password or remove the content that is associated with that Apple ID.

TS3642 It is really unacceptable that I cannot transfer my garageband format songs from iPad to iTunes for windows and then add them to my new iPad. Any ideas?

I just want to transfer songs from one iPad to another. Why does Apple make things so hard?

But if you want to transfer between two iPads, you could use iCloud to transfer directly between the devices, if the iPads support iCloud and you are using the same Apple ID on both iPads.
If you save the project (or better a duplicate of the project) to iCloud, you will be able to import it on the second iPad from the cloud.

If you want to download them from iTunes then you will need to pay for them.
If you've already purchased them from iTunes but no longer have them on your iPad then you might be able to redownload them via the Purchased tab in the iTunes Store app

Latest version of Itunes for Windows Error 45075 Missing Componet

I have had no problem with my IPad or Itunes for a year. Till today. I was moving Itunes from internal C drive to D. Freeing up space. It was suggested that I just uninstall and reinstall in new drive with clean copy from Itunes direct. So each time I open the program now it says please repair or reinstall Itunes because its missing some key componet. Doesnt say what its missing. Just Error 45075. Ive reinstalled 4x now. Same error. I have macafee virus software. Not sure if thats the issue. Windows 7. It wouldnt bother me to much but I cant sync my ipad now. Thats pretty annoying. Please advise. I need help.

If you still haven't succeeded with this one I think I have. It seems you need to uninstall ALL Apple components so I uninstalled 5 in all from the Program list. Then a completely new install worked for me.

I have downloaded the latest iTunes version and the latest IOS onto iPad and yet when i attach to my PC it doesn't open iTunes automatically and when i open iTunes I can't see my iPad. Instead Windows 8 (the worst software in the world!) opens my photo library. Why is this happening? Please help!

It sounds like you still have to update it.
It's very easy to do. If you have OSX iTunes, go to iTunes>Check for Updates. If you have Windows, go to Help>Check for Updates

Yes. Just set up your own account in System Preferences > Accounts (User &groups in Mountain Lion). You'll have your own seperate everything including mail.

You need to go to System Preferences (this may be called Settings in Mountain LIon)>iCloud and sign out. Then sign in with the new ID.
