IPhone 4 financing (Australia)

Hey guys the iPhone 4 is being sold on the Australian apple store for 859. I'm thinking of buyingnit on finance which works out to about $54.42/month or $1090 over 24 months. My question is, if I go on this financing plan and say pay it off in about 3-4months, will I have to pay the $1090 or the remainder of the rrp? Any help would be great as the apple hotline is closed at the moment. Thanks.

I'm no genius, but if you pay things off sooner you'll pay less interest. The interest is a rate that is accumulated through time. If you pay your balance sooner you'll pay an amount that is closer to the original price. The bank is lending you 859. If you pay them as expected in monthly increments of 54.42 by the END of 24 months you'll have paid 1090. Those monthly payments of 54.42 are divided into principal (what goes toward the 859) and interest (what they charge you for lending you money)Out of that 54.42 about 9.62 is going toward interest and the other 44 is going toward the original 859. So i believe if you pay within 3-4 months you'll only be paying around 890-900 for it.

Hello, I have a broken iphone 5 screen (Australia) and I was wondering how much it will cost to repair (no warranty) and how long it will take. Also wondering what kind of details I need to have with me when I go into the Apple store to fix this problem.

Contact the Apple store and ask them if they replace screens and how much it would cost.

  • UK iphone 3GS in Australia

Hi, I am wondering if I can buy an iPhone 3GS in the UK, using an O2 sim card, and then use it whenever I go back to Australia (with my Australian sim card). Would it work just like an iPhone purchased in Australia? Thanks!

Even if O2 were to unlock it, you wouldn't be able to get any support or warranty service in Australia for a UK-sold iPhone. If something were to go wrong with your iPhone, you'd have to ship it back to the UK for service. So if you really want to purchase an iPhone in the UK now, you'll probably be best off selling your iPhone before you leave the UK and then buying a new one in Australia.
    Regards.

  • Do iPhone release in Australia?

    Do iPhone release in Australia?

No not as yet, and not in the near future if the press reports from Australia are anything to go by.
It seems that Australia is predominantly 3G, with only one carrier, Telstra, having good EDGE coverage. So seeing as the current iPhone is 2G, you probably won't see one there until there's a 3G model, later in the year, at least 6 months away probably.

  • Is there any difference between an unlocked Iphone sold in australia and the USA and if i bought one from the USA what would I have to do to use it.

Is there any difference between an unlocked Iphone sold in australia and the USA and if I bought one from the USA what would I have to do to use it.

An unlocked phone is an unlocked phone.  It's sold without a SIM card.  You have to get a SIM card from the carrier you want to use, with an account set up, insert the SIM and activate the phone in iTunes.
Unlocked phones sold by the USA online Apple store can only be shipped to a US address and paid for by a US credit card
The only difference between an officially unlocked iPhone sold in the US and Australia is the warranty.  The warranty is valid only in the country of sale.  If you buy the phone in the US and return to Australia, if it breaks you have to ship it to a US resident who will get it to Apple and return it to you.  It can't be shipped direct in either direction.

  • I bought my iPhone 5 from Australia one year old can it be exchanged or can body be changed

I bought my iPhone 5 from Australia, one year old now it's got cracked from back sides can it be exchanged or can i get off on iPhone 5s if I return this!!! Or can the body be changed

Apple will offer you an out of warranty replacement, cost is US $269. You will get exactly what you have now...same model, color & size.
Be aware, if you purchased the phone in Australia, you can only do an out of warranty exchange in Australia.

i buy a iphone 5s in australia. now it is not working properly. now i am in india. it is in 5 months warrenty. can it be change in india

This is correct.  If you purchased the phone in the UK, then there is NO international warranty on the iPhone and the warranty is for the country of original purchase, so as well as the UK, it is EU wide.
The only way to get your phone repaired is to take it back to the UK to an Apple store there or to any other EU country where the warranty is valid.
    Nothing else you can do.

  • Hello I have a 3G and a 4G iphone, purchased in Australia where I lived. But, now I am living in the USA. I understand both iphones from Australia have GSM language - Is there any way I can use either of these iphones in the USA?

Hello  I lived in Australia for 3.5 years, using a 3G and a 4G iphone.  In April I moved back to the USA and would like to use one of these iphones.  I understand Australia iphones use a GSM language and AT&T is the only carrier that will allow me to use for the GSM.  When trying to sign up with AT&T, the SIM card would not work.  When visiting Apple in Walnut Creek, CA, they said that these iphones I have cannot be used in the USA.
Before moving back to the USA, I visited the Apple Store near Sydney and they said I could unlock them to use them in the USA.  THey did something with the 3G iphone, but when I was at AT&T in Walnut Creek, I could not get the 3G to work.
Bottom line:  can I use either my 3G or 4G iphone that I bought in Australia here in the USA?
    Thank you for your help.
    KInd regards,
    Susan Williams

You should contact the carrier (in Austrailia I presume) to which they are locked to as they are the only ones that can unlock your iPhone.

  • How much does it cost to replace the back of an iPhone 4 in Australia?

I shattered the back of my iPhone 4 today, and it's leaving little cuts on my fingers from holding it, I'm wondering how much it will cost to get it replaced/repaired in Australia (Queensland). I've heard sometimes it's free, sometimes it's $29, and that it could cost me $200!!
Also how much I would have to pay for them to just replace it with a 5, thanks
(I do not have any warranty or insurance...)

Apple do not take trade-ins against new phones. Your iPhone 5 will cost whatever the retail price is in Australia.  Contact Apple for pricing of a new back, or better (if you are within range) make an appointment with a genius at an Apple Store.

  • How would I be able to use my iPhone 6 in Australia?

I shall be on a vacation in Australia with my mother and sister for three weeks. I would like to use my iPhone 6 to take pictures and play games while on the plane and in this country. Since I am currently a US citizen, I think this will charge me money. My mother has told me about a 'SIM card'. Would this be too much for just those three weeks?

    ThisVivian,
That sounds like a really fun trip! You are more than welcome to use your phone with a SIM card purchased while out of the country. We also offer additional Global Plans for you -> http://vz.to/QP9j5m

  • IPhone bought in Australia - iPodTouch bought in America - will not sync

Both of them work.. but not together. I cannot sync them together on the same computer. I got the iPhone as a gift from Australia... and would like to sync the same music/apps/photos/etc. that I also have on my iPod Touch from America. My acct. is also in America.
Am I out of luck or what? Is there some way around this?
My iTunes account is in US, though at the moment I am living in Australia. iTunes will not see my iPhone AT ALL. I'd put it on my other computer with iTunes. But my significant other has their iPhone on it.. and I have my own separate taste in music/apps/photos/etc.
