i do not know how to check my internet connection on my iphone 4s

Sorry about that. Apparently web accelerator looks like it has something to do with 9.0 optimized. Since I was never able to download 9.0 (I still have 8.0), I don't have accelerator. If you want to check to see if you have accelerator, click on AOL Keyword and type in TopSpeed. If you do not have the most current version, it will bring you to a box that say something like "to use this you must have the most current version of AOL. would you like to download it now?"
From the brief amount of info I read, it looks like accelerator helps you surf the net 5x faster than dial up. Sounds like the old NetZero ads.
Thanks for posting on my board. I'm so disgusted with iTunes, that I think I will join the BMG (formerly Columbia House) music club (you know, where you get 7 free, buy 1 at regular price, and get 4 more free), buy a whole slew of CD's and import them into my iTunes library. And, my co-worker offer to burn some CDs for me, so maybe I will take him up on his offer, and import those. I'll keep checking your board. Good Luck!

use it on a diffrent network if u dont have a mc donalds or sone other place to test it most librarys have wifi just to make sure its not that if its not the wifi falut and the app has been re installed may be a bug since this game is still pretty new

Facetime won't verify my email address and keeps giving me a message saying "please check your internet connection"

Every time I try to sign into Facetime from my Macbook Pro it tells me it was unable to verify my email and I need to check my connection.
I have already checked that email to make sure it is verified.

The first thing I would try is going to System Preferences --> Users & Groups, and set your Apple ID to your username there.

edit the hosts file on your computer and remove any lines that contain gs.apple.com. Disable your antivirus and firewall.

Have you tried the following troubleshooting document?
iTunes for Windows: iTunes cannot contact the iPhone, iPad, or iPod software update server
If you end up using the If the iTunes Store opens successfully section of the document, and the "Automatically detect settings" checkbox is already checked, try unchecking and rechecking it and clicking OK.

I cannot connect to the store from my windows 7 laptop I have an ipad but i use the laptop to organise my music. the error says check your internet connection but if i use the internet to get to the store it works any suggestions

Do you have any firewalls or antivirus software active (e.g. Little Snitch), that could prevent the installer from contacting the Apple Servers? If yes, turn them off. Also, disable the Energy saver, to prevent the Mac from falling asleep and causing time outs.
Sometimes it will help, to run the installer in Safe Mode, see: Mac OS X: What is Safe Boot, Safe Mode?

I upgraded to ios 7 and it says it was successful. Problem is, anytime I try to connect to an app, check my email, etc., it is saying I have no internet connection. It will connect to wifi, but it still says I have no internet connection. I can't open anything. Can't sign into app store or any other app. Won't work connected to wifi or LTE. Very aggravated right now. Have rebooted phone, reset network settings. Nothing is working. Messages won't connect to iMessage. My phone is basically worthless right now. I upgraded my iphone 5 to IOS 7 and it will not recognise my previously OK bt home hub connection. If I go to an allternative, BT WiFI it connects but will not allow me to access anything on the web or any applications needing web access. Any way round this or can I revert back to IOS 6?

I have tried reseting the network settings and forgetting my wireless connection and re-connecting to it. I even backed up my phone on itunes and restored it, factory reseted it. Nothing seems to work.
Also after my upgrade to ios 8.1 my personal hotspot option under cellular data has disappeared.
