IPhone 5 control center not responding

I've just updated my iPhone 5 to iOS7 today. However, the control center is not responding (swiping up). I've made sure to turn the access on lock screen and access within apps both on in Setting, but still no dice. Any help would be appreciated! Thanks...

Restore iPhone with current iTunes on your computer. See if better. If still problem it will be covered by Warranty, make Genius reservation or set up Service and take or send to Apple for resolution. Until you get this corrected you can use Virtual Lock Button, Tap Settings App > General > Accessibiltiy > Assistive Touch > ON > tap new white screen button > Device > Lock Screen. You can even turn OFF iPhone with this. To turn ON connect to power, charger or USB of computer.

Sorry, there is no way around the Activation Lock. You either need to contact the original owner and get them to turn off Find My iPhone and wipe the phone from their iCloud account, or you need to return it to the seller.

Portion of my iphone touch screen is not responding

Portion of the iphone touch screen is not responding while typing (both horizontal and vertical). All other functions are O.K. Is it LCD problem or any calibration problem ? Some experts says the LCD screen is to be replaced ?

My iPhone 6+ is occasionally not responding to touches on the screen when in horizontal mode. This happens both in the apps and on the home screen. In other words, when you go to touch on an area of the screen, it does not register. Even if the view is horizontal, when I rotated vertically the horizontal view will respond.

I've not had issues. What troubleshooting steps have you taken so far?

Thanks for using Apple Support Communities. You can turn off Accessibility features using a computer as well. That may be easier to do if Zoom is causing difficulty in using your device:

Control center not working on iPhone 6 plus when in landscape mode

I has a iphone 5 before it , and there's no problem with the control center, now with this expensive iPhone 6 plus , the control is not working when the phone is in landscape mode , when the screen tapped repeatedly, I can only see the little tab of the control center but I can't able to bring it up.
Anyone has this problem?

Why is control center not transparent on my iPhone 4?

For some reason Control Center on my iPhone 4 is gray rather than transparent. Notification center is more black than transparent as well.

My iPhone 5 screen is not responding

Hi, i was using the camera on my iPhone 5 from the lock screen, when the screen went purple.
I clicked on the home button to return to the lock screen. I was swiping the screen to enter my password, but the screen was not responding.
I am able to recieve calls, emails, messages and other notifications but, I am not able to respond to them.
I am only able to access Noticification Center and The Control Panel from my lock screen, but im not able to access or click on anything.

Iphone6 control center not pulling up

I have an iPhone 6 and the control center almost never allows me to pull it up from the bottom of the screen. I have tried all settings turning them on and off. Restarting, everything I can think off with no luck. Sometimes works but more often not working than actually working. anyone else? Any ideas to fix?

I'm having this same issue on my iPhone 6. I can't seem to consistently pull up the control center from the bottom. I've never really had an issue with this as I've always used this feature once it's been introduced in previous iphone versions.
I noticed that it is equally difficult to bring the notification down. Also, it seems it's dependent on the app that is being used at the moment. I find it particularly difficult when I am reading a book and try bring the control center up. Anyone else having issues with this?

ITunes 11.2.1 freezes when I connect my iPhone 5. 'Application not responding'

Recently I upgraded Mavericks. Since then I cant sync my phone anymore. iTunes works fine untill I plugin my phone. Then the spinwheel comes up and stays there forever. In dock it says 'Application Not Responding'.

I had exact same problem, but have now resolved it. If your problem is the same as mine your SyncServices folders have been corrupted while itunes was updated.

I am running Mavericks 10.9.3 and updated itunes to 11.2.0 and then experienced problems with itunes crashing, 11.2.2 didn't resolve the problem. I found iTunes worked fine if all my other devices (iphone, ipad, ipod) were turned off, as soon as I powered any one of them up and itunes detected them over wifi or USB itunes then froze with the dreaded colored ball spinning.
In Mavericks 10.9.3 the SyncServices folder is not visible going into the normal library/Application support folder, your instructions below took me to a different area in the system, or at least made these folders visible. Following your instructions I was able to locate and delete both SyncService & SyncServices folders and I launched iTunes again while my devices were powered up and the issue has gone. Bliss!!!

The SyncServices folder should be in there. I had both a SyncService and a SyncServices folder. The second one should, when deleted, help with the problem you and I both had of iTunes freezing when an iOS device is plugged in.

Java 7u25 control panel not responding

Hi all, I have just updated the latest version of Java : 7u25 on several computers running Win7
When I try to open the control panel, I have an errror : JAVA(TM) SE Platform not responding.
Or, I dont have any error.
In the Windows process monitor, I can see Javaw.exe launches and ends a few seconds later.
So, impossible to manage the java control panel.
Even If I launch C:\Program files(x86)\java\lib\javacpl.exe I got the same issue.
This issue occurs on all my machines.
Any idea of how to solve that issue ?

I Dropped my Iphone 5s and its not responding anymore

Hi guys
I dropped my iphone 5s on the floor , and the touch screen is not responding anymore, but all the buttons of the phone are working fine , and there are 3 lines to the right side of the screen one thick and two thin ones , but there is no physical damage on the phone
i restarted the phone by holding the power and home buttons, but no success , now i cant even unlock the phone or do anything ;(

Control Center not getting started

I have installed oracle business intelligence 10g release 2 on a linux box. I have installed Oracle Warehouse builder on both linux box and on my laptop which is windows.
I tried to start the control center from the server which is the linux box. before that i ran the service_doctor.sql.
It gave the following output.
All PL/SQL packages and functions are valid
Platform properties have been loaded correctly
Platform location has been seeded correctly
NLS messages have been loaded correctly
The platform service is not available
There is a problem accessing the service startup script from the databaseserver
Here is the detailed error message which contains the name of the startscript file:-
Service startup file 'null/owb/bin/unix/run_service.sh' is notaccessible from the database server on instance number 1
Please verify that the disk containing the file is visible to thedatabase server
Please verify that the database server account has access rights on thefile
Connection information stored within the repository is correct
PL/SQL procedure successfully completed.
can any one help me to sove this issue. It will be really nice if u can help me out.

By now you have probably found your answer but I wanted to relay my solution for other readers. Had the same problem. Downloaded owbcollect.sql from Oracle. Indicated that client needed utl_file_dir=* in init.ora file. Also indicated that <OWBHOME> was not identified in column SERVER_SIDE_HOME in table WB_RT_SERVICE_NODES. Once I added the utl_file_dir entry in the init.ora file and updated wb_rt_service_nodes with the correct owbhome, service_doctor ran successfully and the control center starts automatically. Need to be careful, even though Oracle indicates setting utl_file_dir=*, this can be a security risk/hazard. Could potentially allow users to overwrite sys or datafiles.

Amdcccle (Catalyst Control Center) not saving multiple monitor setting

I followed the wiki to the letter, but I cannot get any x window session to save the changes I make in amdcccle. All I am trying to do is get multiple monitors configured, and it works great with the catalyst control center but it never saves these settings.
I have done the following:
gksu amdcccle
gksudo amdcccle
also:
sudo aticonfig -f --initial=dual-head --screen-layout=right
and many other interations of aticonfig. The -dtop option complains that it doesnt work with RandR enabled.
I got this working a few weeks ago but can't remember what I did. If amdcccle could actually save the current configuration to file that would solve the issue but it simply will not.

When you updated the drivers did you install over top of existing software or uninstall beforehand?
First we should try ripping everything ATI off of the system, including software, drivers and CCC. You should be able to uninstall everything through Add/remove programs.
After you remove everything reboot and let windows reinstall it's own drivers and software. You don't need CCC to do dual monitors so we can do testing without it.
Once you let windows install see if your HDMI output no longer works when you switch to the TV.
Post back your results after completing this.
