IPhone 5s trade in deal towards iPhone 6?

I have a few questions regarding the trade in offer for the iPhone 5s towards a 6. First off, I live in Harrisburg, NC and I'm worried that if I trade in my 5s before the deadline (9/30) I wont have a phone till they get back in stock. Does anyone know how long it usually takes for new iphones to get back in stock in North Carolina? Also, am I able to go to a Verizon store directly and trade in my phone or would I HAVE to ship it to them? The problem is I don't want to go without a phone for a month if the phone isn't in the store by the time I trade my phone in. If anyone has any answers to these questions, please let me know! Thanks!

We would never leave you without a phone, tommy005! If you happen to trade in your device online, you have until 11/15/2014 to send in your current device. By then, you will have your iPhone 6. You can certainly visit a store on the 19th of September or after to purchase the iPhone 6 and trade in your device at the store. Please know that if the stores are out of stock, you still would have to trade in your device via vzw.com/tradein and return the device by 11/15/2014. If they are in stock, the stores can take the trade in.
Let us know if you have questions.

How much would i get from apple towards an iphone 5S if i was to trade in my 16gb iphone 5?

Depends on your carrier, but typically your options are:
    1.  Buy the new phone at full price, and see what you can get
as a trade on your current phone or sell it.  (Note: some
retailers are giving special trade in deals for different amounts
on various phones.   Check local retailers.)
    2.  Buy out the remainder of your current contract and possibly
start a new contract with your current carrier with a new phone
          or go to another carrier.
    3.  Many other variations of trade/buy/sell depending on retailers.
If you are in the States, Target, BestBuy, and several others are running variety
of promotions on 5C's and 5S's. So you may want to pay a visit to a local
    store to get details.

  • What is the best way to preorder multiple iPhone 6s and take advantage of the $200 trade in deal?

    Here's my scenario.
    Currently: I have 2 iPhone 4 and 1 iPhone 4S
Plan: Upgrade all three to iPhone 6 Plus (16GB)
What is the best way to do the $200 trade in deal for each of the old phone?
    http://www.verizonwireless.com/support/faqs/Equipment/trade_in_program.html#iPhone Trade-in Promotion
    1. When I preorder at 12:01 AM do I have to pay $300 or $100 for each?
    2. Do I have to send the old iPhones first in order to get the $200 gift cards?
What should I do to make sure each preorder can be discounted?

        Vice_Actual,
Thank you so much for reaching out to us. We are super excited about the launch of the new iPhone. In order to get the trade in deal you would need to trade in the device and then you would get a Verizon Wireless gift card mailed out to you. If you pay for the devices with a credit card on pre-order the card will not be charged until the devices are shipped.

I currently have an iphone 4 and would like to trade up to the iphone 5. I would like a 32gb one though. Am i still able to get the 32gb iphone 5 with the current offer? please let me know.
    Solved!

You would need to pay the difference between the trade-in value for the 32GB iPhone 4 and the 32GB iPhone 5.

  • Iphone 6 trade in program frustration

My wife and I ordered our iphones at the Digitell Verizon Store at 7014 E Camelback Rd # 2244 Scottsdale, AZ 85251 on October 10. They told us we would get our Promo code to enter into the trade-in website the next day. Didn't get them, so we called, they said we would get it when we picked up our phones. So we picked up our phones on October 28. Then they (Sales associate: Dwayne, Manager: Rhyss) told us we should wait 8 days. Still hadn't received it. So we called them again and they initially said they have no control over when they would get the promo codes but then said to wait 2-3 days. It's been that long and I"m sick of dealing with the store who doesn't know what they're doing and aren't helping their customers!
So I just called the Verizon support number and the rep told me there aren't any promotional codes!!!!! I spoke with Adam who is a supervisor with the Verizon recycling program and he submitted an escalation form and told me to wait 7-10 days for a response! He also told me to contact customer care who said they should be able to help credit back $200 to our account. How can I trust this?
So after all that, I spoke to a lady named Ashley with Customer Care and explained my situation. Ashley confirmed that there were no promotional codes and that this is something the store erred on. She spoke with her supervisor and spoke with the recycling program department and then advised me to go into the store and "demand" a $200 gift card for each phone to fix their mistake.
So we went into the store and did what Ashley told us to. We asked for our $200 gift cards as she told us and they said "we don't even carry gift cards in the store."  The store said that there is in fact a promotional code and that they've been giving it out to people. Ashley told us that if they don't comply to tell them to call customer care. The store refused to call customer care because there is a promotional code and that they would escalate it and told us we would hear back tomorrow for sure what the plan is. So I called customer care and the new lady I spoke with was trying to find a promotional code and said maybe we can use the code "IPHONE6200." She wasn't any help at all in resolving the situation. So now we're stuck with VERIZON CUSTOMER CARE telling us one thing and the VERIZON STORE telling us another. And we the customers aren't being helped at all and we're forced to wait more and waste our time with this whole thing.  We even tried to return our phones, but they told us the 14 day return policy is over so we can't even do that!
I don't understand why customer care is telling us to go into the store and demand a gift card.  We tried that and the store refused.  Why can't customer care just help us and stop make the customer do their work for them! The customer shouldn't have to be the middle man.
I reiterate that it has been a month since this whole thing has started and we're still left with nothing. We hope that Verizon will resolve this situation or we are in fact going to the Better Business Bureau to complain about false advertising and fraud.

A premium retailer cannot use the codes for VZW promotions. When the iPhone $200 trade in promotion was valid (9-12-14 through 10-15-14) you had to process your trade on VZW's trade website and then mail your old phone back when you got the new one. Maybe call your local corporate store and see if they can redeem the code referenced in your post. Or visit the local corporate store and see if they can help you rectify the situation. All in all the promotion was from VZW directly and it didn't matter where the phone was order from.

  • Trade in Timing for Iphone 6 Promotion

This has probably been asked and answered somewhere else, but I cant find it.
I will try to explain my situation.  I would like to take advantage of the iPhone 6 trade in offer.  As I understand it, I can trade in my IPhone 4 and receive $200 credit to go towards the iPhone 6.  Which will basically make it free with a 2 year contract.
I called Verizon customer service and was told to take the following steps:
    1 Preorder the iPhone 6
2 Wait until I get the phone, then go online to fill out the forms to do a trade in
3 Send the phone in to get the $200 credit.
That seemed pretty straight forward until I started going through the process.
The delivery date on the iPhone 6 I chose was 10/121.  I went to the trade in section to check out what I need to do there and it stated that I need to submit the trade in forms by 9/30 to take advantage of the $200 trade in offer.
So my question is this.  How am I supposed to trade in my iPhone 4 before I get the iPhone 6?  That makes no sense at all.  Was the customer service Rep correct with the steps she gave me.  She told me not to fill out the forms until I got the new iPhone 6.  Or is the wording incorrect on the Verizon Trade in page?
I have now pre ordered my phone and would really like to take advantage of this offer since that was the main reason why I felt I could make this purchase.
I think Verizon needs to be more clear on this process.
Thanks for your comments on this subject.
    James

jamesliston You can fill out the trade in info now and then wait until you get your phone and activate it (deactivate the old one, remove find my phone etc.) and then mail in the old phone.  Here is the email I recieved from verizon after filling out the trade in request:
Your postage-paid, self-addressed envelope will arrive within 5 business days. Before sending your used device:
    1
Disconnect your wireless service from all device
    2
Remove personal information, data, and user locks
    3
    Remove memory and SIM card
Please use the self-addressed prepaid envelope we send you. Simply seal the envelope with your device in it and drop it off at any USPS location.
Once we receive your device we will confirm the appraised value and email your Verizon Wireless electronic gift card within 2 weeks.
The appraised value includes a promotional offer that requires a purchase of an iPhone 6 or iPhone 6 Plus on Verizon Wireless by 9/30/2014. Trade-in device must be mailed to Verizon Wireless within 7 days after receiving the new iPhone 6 or iPhone 6 Plus but no later than 11/15/2014. Device received after 11/15/2014 will be reassessed at current market value. Damaged and non-working devices will be appraised according to their condition at time of inspection.
Hopefully that helps! It was confusing to me during the order process was glad to get the clear email after.

My wife and I went to the Verizon store to purchase her an iPhone 6+.  We were told of this great promotion to receive $200 back and the iPhone 6 was $199.  Great deal, we thought!  I bought an iPhone 6 and my wife an iPhone 6+.  We were told that we would get the rebate when Verizon received  our phones.  I got my phone and went online to print the return label.  My wife iPhone 6+ hasn't shipped yet.  I found out that the promotion ended yesterday and that I should have printed the label before that time.  We lost out on the rebate.  What a scam!  I went to the store and was told that it's the customer’s responsibility to follow up and that all of their sales reps were trained to ensure the process was understood.  We left the store believing that we would have 14 days to return our phones.  This would never have happened if we received written instructions.  It was the stores responsibility to ENSURE that the customer received the correct procedure information.  Obviously a scam on Verizon's part! Is this the stores issue or Verizon's? How can we get our rebate?

That is not what my trade in disclaimer said at all...  You had to PURCHASE an iphone 6 by 10/15.  But you have seven days to send the device back after receiving it...
How could I send my iphone in before I received the new one?  I would have no cell phone for a month because it was on back order.
This is the email I received after submitting my order:
"The appraised value includes a promotional offer that requires a purchase of an iPhone 6 or iPhone 6 Plus on Verizon Wireless by 10/15/2014. • I pre-ordered my iPhone 6 on 9/12 and during my order I could upgrade my current iPhone 4s and get $100 towards the iPhone 6. How do I get that $100 back?

I pre-ordered my iPhone 6 on 9/12 and during my order it said I could upgrade my current iPhone 4s and get $100 towards the iPhone 6. How do I get that $100 back becaus eit did not come off the order and when I look at the trade in value it is only $36

Hi GBR94, currently we would only have one set promotion for the new iPhone and that would give you $200.00 off when trading in a previous iPhone model that would be free of phsyical damage. However, if you are not using this promotion and still would be eligible for upgrade you would be able to receive the standard upgrade discount off your device.

  • Could I trade in my used iphone?

Hi, I'd like to know if i could trade in my iphone 4s to buy a new iphone and how much they can give me for the old one.
    Thanks

Apple reportedly is now accepting trade-ins toward purchase of a new iPhone through retail Apple Stores in the US. I've not yet seen the amount they will allow. In a few other countries Apple also works with a company who will give you some return on an existing device; select your country as appropriate on this page:
    http://www.apple.com/recycling/
Similar programs are available in a few other countries, and some dealers may have their own trade-in programs. But you most probably can get more for your device if you sell it yourself.
    Regards.

  • Best Practices for iPhone 6 Trade-In Promotion?

I want to trade in an old iPhone 4 for this iPhone 6 trade-in promotion which would (in theory) net me a $200 gift card (or bill credit) as long as I purchase a new iPhone 6.
    Great, I'm all over it.
I went to the nearby corporate store, iPhone 4 in hand, and ready to trade in and order the iPhone 6. As we know the 6 is on back order. The solution specialist told me go ahead and place the order and after that I could request an envelope and once my 6 arrives I have 7 days to send the old phone and 6-8 weeks later I would get the $200 gift card. I asked if I could go ahead and process the trade-in in store and he said "no" since they were on back order I can't process the trade-in until I activate the 6, which completes the transaction. He did say that if I receive my new iPhone 6 before 10/15 I could bring the new phone in for activation and they could process the trade-in at that time and issue me an instant credit.
Problem is I don't want to send my phone off in some envelope...to Verizon. Are you kidding me? Search this forum for "trade-in" and you will see all the people who thought they were in for a $200 gift card but were surprised to receive a different amount for some reason...wont turn on, find my iPhone not disabled, water damage, etc. Trouble is, you DO NOT get your phone back, per the offer's fine print.
So here I am waiting for my new iPhone 6 to ship, but I don't even have a tracking number yet and the "Will Ship By" date on Verizon's website just went from 10/31 to 11/7 for the one I chose. Either way, it won't ship in time for me to get to the store by 10/15 to process trade-in onsite and receive the instant credit.
I will not be sending my trade-in phone in an envelope to Verizon. Not now, not never.
***HERE IS MY QUESTION*** Please do not direct me to this website: Verizon
Assuming my trade-in is eligible, what are the steps I need to take to receive the instant $200 credit for my trade-in?
If I receive my new iPhone 6 before 10/15, can I take it to the store and activate it and process the trade-in on site, as I was told by the solution specialist?
Now that I have ordered the iPhone 6 can I go to the store and process my trade-in onsite for the instant credit before my new iPhone ships?
Can I cancel my current order and (even though the iPhone 6 is on backorder) go to the store and re-order and process my trade-in at that time onsite, for the instant credit?

    1. Yes
    2. No
    3. No, you need a new 6 activated on the account

  • Iphone 6 trade-up NOT as promised!

I've seen other threads so I know I am not alone.  I put a perfectly functional iPhone4 appraised at $200 into the flimsy, required envelope provided me and said a little prayer.  Fast forward to today when I get the "great news" that my $36 is available to me.  Say what??  Verizon Customer Service is unable to help, and the phone number they transfer you to is "experiencing high volume" and hangs up on you!!!!  I've been a Verizon customer since before they were Verizon, and have never experienced anything like this - it seems like blatant dishonesty!  I'm assuming they will say - assuming I can EVER actually reach someone - that my phone was cracked.  Shocker.  Did anyone test those ridiculous envelopes??  I feel utterly deceived and sick to my stomach, not to mention $164 dollars poorer.  I expected more.  And the worst part is there is apparently no way to speak to someone who can actually help me get what I was promised, or make this right somehow.  Seriously considering defecting to Sprint.  Never, ever thought I'd say that.  Has anyone had any luck getting to a person with the ability to help?

Okay, JenniferH_VZW.....I can relate to the frustration experienced by StephanieS.  When Verizon was running their promotion for "getting up to $299 rebate back on your old iPhone, when you order a new iPhone 6 or 6+", the system you had in place to easily direct customers on how to actually fulfill this promotion weren't terribly clear. I went online to
Verizon's website, read about the promotion, and then completed the submission form to see what I would most likely receive for my old iPhone 4. It is in good condition, so the website confirmed that I would receive $199 (which is the most that they would give me for an iPhone 4 16 gb), depending of course on what the actual phone looked like when they received it.  I completed this form online, and tried to print out the final page, but unfortunately, it didn't print. It was a little glitchy as I was trying to complete the form, as well, as I would completely fill in all the information, and then it would just sit and think, and never go any further.  When I finally got it to go though, I guess I assumed that Verizon would have a record of this when it came time to return my old phone.  No such luck.  I received an email from Verizon  confirming the order of my new iPhone, which I actually ordered by phone from Verizon, because I wanted to confirm with a living person that I was expecting to participate in the rebate program where I would receive credit for my old phone. The representatives all acted like it would be fine, and that I would be receiving packing materials to return my old phone in, once I had received my new phone, which was on backorder and wouldn't ship until 10/24/14. Original order date was 9/26/14.  I got an confirmation email for my phone order, but no mention of a submission ID #,
except a blurb reminding me to fill out the online submission form in order to receive the promotional credit. I had already done this, so it didn't occur to me to do it again. Got my new IPhone 6+, as promised, just a few days after the
10/24/14 ship date, but there were no materials included to return the old phone for the promotional rebate. I remembered someone saying that I would be receiving some return packaging in the mail, but haven't received that yet either. So I started calling Verizon, and have now talked to 3 or 4 different reps, only one of whom seemed to really understand how to help me out.  Verizon has done a terrible job of training their reps on how to help people in this situation. One rep sent me to the "Returns" department, where I was greeted and then transferred and then disconnected, one rep seemed completely befuddled by the whole situation, and kept waiting for a supervisor to get to his station so she could talk to me. In a desperate attempt to help me, he at one point had me putting my old iPhone 4 in the HopeLine plastic recycle bag that came with my new phone, while printing out some return label from somewhere else to put over the printed return address on the bag.....I told him that there was copy on the bag telling me not to use the bag for mail-in rebates.....I called 611 again to see if I could get a different rep who would know more. I finally was directed to go to trade-in.vzw.com, where I found a number to call and talk to them directly. The first person I spoke with gave me the number for Verizon customer service....Lordy!  I called the trade-in number again, and got someone to send me some packaging to return my phone in, and she said that someone fromVerizon would be calling or emailing me...we'll see. This has taken WAY too much of my time. Extremely inefficent for myself and for all the poor Verizon reps who haven't been educated on how to advise people like me, in this situation.

  • IPhone 6 trade-in "scam"-otion

Back on September 12, 2014, I pre-ordered an iPhone 6 and also signed up to do the trade-in promotion which offered a $200 promotional trade-in value for my iPhone 4s. My 4s was in good working condition -- turned on and off, screen working, no visible corrosion, no big damage, etc. Trade-in website gave an appraisal for $200. After I got my iPhone 6 on September 19, I removed all of my info from my iPhone 4s, reset it to factory, then shut it off, put it in the green bag / trade-in envelope, dropped it in the mail, and waited for my gift card.
Last night, October 7, 2014, I get an email from Verizon saying that my gift card was ready. It was for a total amount of ... $36. I was curious why, so went to the trade-in site to check my submission status, and it said:
Reason for adjustment: "Device does not power on".
Bullsh*t. As my usage logs from my Verizon Wireless bills prove, I was using that very same iPhone 4s to make and receive calls, send and receive data, etc., right up until the time I shut it down to be mailed to Verizon for trade-in. So, Verizon Wireless, where's the $164 that you owe me? If I had know Verizon was going to do this, I would have just sold my phone on eBay.
In any case, I'll be filing a complaint with the Better Business Bureau, as well as the Federal Trade Commission. I'm also getting read to transfer me and my other three family members to another other wireless carrier which has kindly offered to pay our ETFs.
I enjoyed being a Verizon Wireless customer right up until this incident with the iPhone 6 trade in. Sigh.

I got scammed too. Traded in an iPhone 4S. I followed instructions to delete data off my device via "Erase All Content and Settings" in Settings. I also turned off Find my iPhone, and made sure it was active for this phone using my icloud account online. In addition, I checked to make sure I was able to upgrade successfully to my new iPhone 6 AND checked my account online to see all active devices. My old iPhone 4S phone, that I sent to this Recycling Program, is not listed under my Activated Devices section in my account information. But in the Check Status area, it says my
Final Trade-In Value is now $36.00, with Adjustment Reason: Activation Lock not deactivated. YES, the Activation Lock WAS deactivated. What else was I supposed to do?
I wish we either went with a store trade-in to Gamestop, with cash on the spot; or switched to AT&T, like my sister wanted us to. I really hate Verizon.
    Trade-in Information
    Submission Date: 09/21/2014;

  • IPhone 6 trade in

I participated in the iPhone 6 trade in program offering an iPhone 6 for free when you trade in your iPhone 4 or newer. I mailed in my iphone and the appraised value (promotion value) was $200.00 as expected. However, i received an email saying my phone was only valued at $20.00. I am very upset and i feel i have been scammed. i have written emails and called and verizon has not contacted me back. This has become a huge ordeal and i feel that verizon is not backing this promotion what so ever.... I dont know how to proceed when Verizon isnt pulling their weight and calling me back. I need a resolution

The trade-in program that you list is completely confusing. It states with the current promotion a iPhone 4S/5 are eligible and in working condition. One has to apply at the trade-in website and return the phone and wait 2 weeks to get the credit of $200. Then go and buy the new iPhone 6. So how can this be a trade when you wait for 2 weeks without a phone. Huh!!!!
Here is a solution - why not pre-order the iPhone 6, trade-in the phone in store with the new one(iPhone6). Tell me or show me where this is stated on any Verizon website.
Went to 2 VZ stores and each rep gives a different answer and none worked or true. All false or wait.
The question still remains, the credit has to be available right away when we buy the upgrade iPhone6. Else state clearly the credit $200 can also be applied to your account on monthly charges. The VZ Gift card clearly does not mention the credit can be applied to your monthly charges. So one has to buy devices/accessories. Imagine when I have 5 eligible lines which is pay upfront $1000+Taxes and then no phones for 2 weeks at the minimum. I can even tell this, when you have the credit, the phones will be sold out.
All of this trade-in is Sales pitch and nothing else. There is nothing there to help a long time customer and always given wrong answers.
