IPhone 6 Plus - what a terrible experience - Preordering and waiting on release day.
Long story, here goes.
Attempted to order the phone right after 3am EST - logged in at 2:55 EST - phones already available to order, so that was early. Was able to snag a iPhone 6 Plus 64gb in Grey. Date says 9/19 deliver by. Get my confirmation email 3 hours later - has a date of 10/14. Canceled my preorder same day as I was shown 2 different dates. So I decide to get one on launch day (9/19).
Wait in line at the West Chester OH (Tylersville Rd.) Verizon store. Was #31 in line, wait 2.5 hours just to get in the store, then have to wait for another hour before I can go up to the front to actually pick out a phone to order. Again, 6 Plus 64gb in Grey. SOLD OUT. No communication whatsoever from the staff to people in line or waiting that they were out of stock. I ask about 16gb and 128gb. None in Grey at all. Was told differently by a manager that there was additional stock for the 16gb and 128gb when I had just been told that no Grey models were in stock at all for the 6 Plus. One person did happen to nicely check other stores, but all locations were sold out of that model. Wasted 3 hours of my day when I could have been told 2 hours prior whether enough stock would be available. I seemed to be the only person not to get a phone up until that point, and I was only the 31st person in line. A little communication would have went a long way on both the preorder and the actual launch day process. So now I can't even order one and have it arrive by October, which is a joke in my opinion. I guess I should have kept my preorder active, but what to do when you are quoted two different dates? Verizon has really dropped the ball here and I will be looking into other competitors in the meantime.

I truly apologize for your experience at the store. However, we provided the pre order as a way to avoid needing to go to store as inventory availability are subject to change without notice. The pre order secures the device and the other email was for the shipping information. Perhaps you can re order the device online to get the ball rolling for you to get your iPhone 6 plus as desired as opposed to going to the store of which inventory can change depending on the availability.

Iphone 6 plus connection to the wifi comes and goes, but my iphone 4s does not. how is that?

I recently upgraded from iPhone 5s to iPhone 6 Plus. When I go to view my photos, all of them are blank and at the bottom, it says "Downloading..." It has been this way for two days, but hasn't really downloaded any of my photos yet. Does it normally take this long? Is there anything I can do to speed it up?
IF you are getting no messages period - not just no iMessages - then it is very likely a carrier issue. It is AT&T and not the phone. SMS travels via the carrier wave used to make phone calls - iMessages use data and go through Apple servers as you know
If you are getting no messages at all - then I wonder if your cell service is ok or if you are in an area of strong signal - then does your SIM card need to be looked at -
New iPhone 6 PLUS major glitches, SMS, iMessage, Safari and other apps.
How come my brand new iPhone 6 PLUS keeps glitching?
I will open Messages and regardless if its an iMessage or not it will freeze within 15 seconds when it unfreezes it will catch up but the entire message will be incorrect. Every second or third time i message it will freeze and 8-12 seconds later it will crash the message app.
Also while using the phone in normal operation the iPhone will freeze (While scrolling usually) the entire touch digitiser will become inoperative.
I was told by Apple I have to Erase the entire phone and "Set up as a NEW PHONE" - Sorry Apple but thats never going to happen, how about you fix the software issue before you utter such ridiculous words to anyone else!
Also when i select a contact to message the contacts name will appear at the top of the screen (as you would expect) but only the last message you sent will be on the screen the entire thread will disappear. 5-10 seconds later they will appear and if you leave the phone alone or continue typing about 45-90 seconds later it happens again.
iPhone is restoring numbers I deleted with the contacts name however when you select the name to message - BOOM the name is gone and its just the number.
All my Apps freeze then crash its a nightmare it doesn't matter how many updates I do or the amount of restores.
Has anyone else found this? Because I think I found a solution Ill post it below...So there is another thread on the forum about apps crashing and freezing on the iPhone 6 Plus.
The answer that fixed the problem involved turning off the Speak Page and Speech settings with in accessibility settings....
SETTINGS/ ACCESSIBILITY/ SPEECH
I turned off - Speak Selection and Speak Screens and made sure the rest were off.

If you purchased it directly through Apple you are outside your return window and cannot return it, get a refund and buy a new one. If you bought it elsewhere you will have to check their policies. There is not trade up policy with AppleCare + or without.

Why does my Iphone 4s connect to my wi-fi with a password and latter in the day fail to connect until I reboot the router? Is there a setting on my router that would avoid this issue. All my other devices connect alright
OK so it now looks like on my iPhone 5 iwth iOS 6.1 the LTE network is conflicting with my home wifi (Airport Extreme). At the Apple store the LTE signal is lost in and wifi works like a charm. At home tired all of the "fixes"

Just turned off the cell radio and it worked. Turned on the cell radio but kept LTE off and it worked.
Apple let's get a fix so we can use your "great" phone. I have just received a BB Z10 from work and it seems to work flawlessly. -

So, let me see if I am getting this correct. I understand we are having a little language issue here as well, but you purchased a phone, sent it to Brazil and it will not work there. Where did you purchase the phone? Was it locked or unlocked? If locked, how did you get it unlocked? What is the exact error message the user is seeing on the screen when they try and use it?
I'm sorry, but your use of the word found is what got all of us to say what we did earlier. When you say found does that mean that you located a phone to purchase? If you answer where you purchased it, it should help. -

IPhone 6 Plus Screen Issue?? Going insane here! 6th phone opened same problem

I bought a iPhone 6 plus on launch day. I noticed something immediately and that was that the screen, even on full brightness, wasn't displaying whites as nicely as the phones on display in the apple store. The apple store iPhone 6 pluses on display display bright, vivid whites (let's say when your on google.com) but my phone looked slightly more dimmed and shaded out. The difference is slight, but when you compare, you notice it immediately and have had apple employees notice this before I even compared them the phones side by side.
I ended up having the apple store open a few phones for me to replace and they were WORSE (they opened 5 phones). I ended up returning the phone and getting a new one only to have the same issue. I just don't understand why the iPhone 6 pluses on display have screens that show whites and nice and bright, where as my screens are dimmer and more 'shaded out'.
I promise you, if you have an iPhone 6 plus go to the apple store and do the comparison. Unless your lucky, it'll be there. This isn't a yellow screen, or uniform brightness issue, the screen just looks shaded even on full brightness making whites look more 'grey' than the way they are displayed on the 6 pluses in the store. All the setting are perfect this isn't the issue. The issue is the screen itself. I just wanted to know if I was the only one.I feel your pain! I have the same problem with my new iPhone 6. My iPhone 5s has cooler/brighter whites, but my iPhone 6 with a supposedly better screen shows them warmer/duller. I stopped at two T-Mobile stores this morning to compare my phone with their display models, and in both cases my phone look dull and drab. Because of the warmer whites, text has less contrast and therefor looks blurrier, too. I was considering going to an Apple Store to see if they could exchange the phone, but as you've demonstrated there's no guaranty that you'll get a better phone. After spending $850 on what I thought was a phone with a bigger, better display, I now wish I'd just stayed happy with my 5s or even considered switching back to an Android phone.

I thought I would share with the forum my terrible experience of joining BT. Below is a copy of the email I have sent Warren Buckley, Managing Director of BT Customer Service.

Dear Warren,
I want to let you know what a terrible experience I have had joining BT, I have only been a customer for 2 days and already regretting moving provider.
* I placed an order for the full package via BT online on 11/08/13. My order reference was BTCOMxxxxxxxxx. My landline number is 01100000000) I ordered the full package, landline, Infinity Fibre BB and BT TV with BT Sport.
* I received a confirmation letter of my order on 13/08/13, confirming the phone line would be connected 12/09/13, great news.
* I received an email requesting my MAC code on 13/08/13 which I replied to with the code the next day (included below)
* I called BT Care the week before my phone line activation date to confirm when delivery of the TV and BB equipment would be made. I was told it would arrive on 10/09, the equipment did not arrive.
* I called BT care again and was told the equipment would arrive on the day of activation, still nothing.
* I called several times yesterday and today and was promised that the 'offline' team would call me today to schedule delivery of my BT TV box by Saturday 14th before 1pm. No call was received.
* I spoke to the BT care team who advised that something had gone wrong with my order and it needed to be replaced. It would now be installed on 04/10. Further as the order had been replaced through the call centre I would not be able to claim the Sainsbury's voucher.. Also I needed to call back with the below MAC code as it couldn't be found.
The key reason I choose to move to BT was for BT Sport. I will not be able to watch the first Bath Rugby home game of the season tomorrow being shown on BT sport, getting out of the house isn't an option due to the recent birth of our lovely 10 day old boy. In short BT has ruined my weekend and wasted a great deal of my time.
Please can you confirm how my experience can be dramatically improved ASAP as I am highly dissatisfied. A good start would be enabling my account so I can watch the match through the BT sport app on my mobile phone. I have registered a complaint with the care team and been made aware of a 10 day SLA for contact to be made with me to discuss.

There are some sites which say that iPhone 6 plus has 2 gb of ram, and iPhone 6 only 1 gb.

iOS will remove the oldest apps in memory. If you had 10 downloaded apps running continuously in memory your battery life would be about 30 minutes, so it's not a scenario that is even worth considering. Most apps in memory are suspended, waiting for something to happen. If they are written correctly they will simply restart when that "something" happens. It doesn't matter how much memory you have; it will eventually fill up and apps will have to be swapped out, just like the are in Windows, OS X, Unix, Linux, HP-UX, z/OS, etc. -
Hello, I preordered the iPhone 6 Plus 128GB at 2:58am ET and was shown a delivery date of 09/19. However, when I received the email and check my status online, it's showing a delivery date of 10/14. Why is there a difference when I was shown one thing and completed the pre-order as soon as it was available. I'm contemplating cancelling my service with Verizon over this because of this. I want the date of 09/19 that I was shown when my order submitted. Once again, why is there a difference? I'm quite upset over this matter and wish for it to be resolved right away.
I suggest you call and do the automated order status checker.
I placed mine 10 minutes after midnight PDT, both the page and the email stated delivery by 9/19. Later when I checked the online status it moved to 10/14, now it's unavailable.
If you call them using the automated order status checker, you MIGHT have a newer status update. At least my says "pending shipment". I will just have to wait and see when it goes out.
Good luck to everybody who pre-ordered! It was a huge mess.
