IPhone app - stuck on connecting to server

Hi,
I have just setup the Integration Solution for SAP Business One 1.0.10 with SAP B1 8.8 PL19 and have setup a mobile user according to the video instructions.
When I start the app and enter my password, it then goes to 'Connecting to server' and stays like that forever, never actually loads anything.
I saw another thread that talked about checking the WSforMobile section under the SLD tab, and I notice that almost all fields are blank, only destprotocol, authentication and associatedsrvip are populated.... is that correct?  If not, what should be in all the other fields?  And if it is meant to be like that, what else might be causing the problem?
There is no firewall running.
Also when I enter the mobile device UDID, in the video there are only numbers no letters, should I be leaving the letters in or removing them?  I have tried both ways so not related to the above problem it seems!
Thanks,
Michael

Hi Michael,
...and what about the B1 DB entry in "Integration Framework" SLD:
If you click on "Test connection" for "B1DI" ...after a few seconds (well maybe a few more since it connects via DI API) you should get an answer whether this worked - or not...
...same for "JDBC" connection in this SLD entry...
Please note:
The information from this SLD entry is used for user authentication when you try to connect from your iPhone/iPad... (...the DB which is registered in the WSForMobile, associatedSrvIP entry)...
Please note as well:
In this version you need to deactivate / reactivate the sap.B1Mobile when you e.g. change a password in SLD (after you e.g. changed the B1i user password in B1)...
BTW:
Are you aware of the "troubleshooting Guide"?
regards,
Frank

  • IPhone 4 Stuck on 'Connect to iTunes' screen.

I.. was kinda trying to get rid of the iOS 7 update files which were automatically downloaded to my iPhones following this discussion page: https://discussions.apple.com/thread/5379403?start=0&tstart=0
Following the instructions posted there, I managed to get rid of about 3GBs of the iOS 7 files out of my iPhone 5.
    What I followed was nzzzzz's 'Method B'
Method B: Open Settings->General->Software Update, Click "Install Now". There will be a prompt says "Verifying update...", Wait until this prompt disappear, there will be a spinning wheel on the black background. Immediately press and hold both of the power and home buttons at the same time. DO NOT release the power and home buttons for about 10 seconds. Your device will reboot. It's done. The automatically downloaded firmware will have been deleted. Now read part 1 to prevent automatically downloading in the future.
However, when I tried it again on my iPhone 4, it's now stuck on 'Connect to iTunes' screen.
No DFU modes or recovery modes seemed to be working, so I gave up and decided to restore & upgrade to iOS 7.
Then there was another problem, iTunes 'did' recognize the device as in 'recovery mode', downloaded the 7.0.3 update file, and tried to restore the device... but it got me 'error 9134'.
I followed the instructions on forums and discussion pages, and even called the Apple Care Services for technical support... but nothing worked. Nothing.
All those 'hosts' file edit and iTunes removal(and other following services) + download/install to the latest iTunes did not work on me, and now the device is 'just stuck on Connect to iTunes' screen.
    Any suggestions..?
(BTW, English is not my native language, so if there's anything that cannot be understood, tell me)
    + Thanks in advance

Plus, my iPhone 4 is not backed up... not even in iCloud I think... There are some old pictures I'd like to keep, but almost forgot to get them out since I bought 5 a few weeks ago. I was using the iPhone 4 for the TV cable with the 30-pin connector.

Hi, I solved this problem on my iPad.
First I followed the steps here: http://support.apple.com/kb/HT4097?viewlocale=en_US  and recovered the iPad. iPad turns empty like new.
Then I followed the steps here: http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1414?viewlocale=en_US (Option: Restoring your iPhone, iPad or iPod Touch) and restored my iPad from a previous backup from iTunes.
When the backup restore was finished, many apps were missing on my iPad. I synchronized it again with iTunes (it took a while although I don't have many apps) and everything was back exactly as before.
I don't know what caused the problem in the first place, being stuck in the iTunes USB screen, but it seems to be solved now. I will anyway try to always remember to close all apps and not leave them running in background. Maybe my iPad got confused?
    Regards
    Sonja

  • IPhone 2G - Stuck on Connect To iTunes/Slide for Emergency

I was going back to my original iphone 2g where I'm stuck on "Connect To iTunes/Slide for Emergency" screen.
This is not a jailbreak phone as it was working phone until I choose an upgrade and went back to orignal iphone. I was told at AT&T store I have to activate with iTunes. With latest version of iTunes, I get connection time out error[no error code] on connecting to iTunes store after activation is complete. I get an email from apple my phone is activated, but I still see Connect To iTunes... As soon as I plug-in the iPhone I get connection time out error.
Per AT&T everything provisioned as per my account and even they put the sim in a diff phone and it works. Thouhgt I could try with old version on iTunes and got atleast a stage I can see everything [Name, Capacity, Software Version and Serial Number] in ituens. This is with ituens version 9.1. But I still see Connect To iTunes... As I run diagnostics from itunes I see that orange for 'No iPhone or iPod found' under 'Ports'. Interstingly, if I take out the SIM, I can see everything [including my screenshot] and I can browse using Wi-Fi but no calls as there is no SIM. This is sixth day that I dont have working phone and still counting...
Since I dont have a back up and not sure how best I can bring my phone back online without restore. Plz help.

This has been taken care by sr advisor at apple.
The problem seems to be an issue as the apple server does not know my iphone at all based on the serial number. They manually updated the s/n and sim on their servers and I dont see connect to itunes window anymore by connecting to iTunes and phone is back online without any restore.
Per my understanding I should get an email as it updates the content on the servers, but I never got one and ended up calling again after 48hrs. Then I was told you should be good, goahed and connect to iTunes, ofcourse I was also told if that does not work you have to try restoring.. scary!!
Now, I'm back on searching to upgrade my phone
    Happy Thanksgiving.

  • IPhone 4S stuck in connect to iTunes screen, iTunes can't detect it

I tried restoring my iPhone and my computer froze during the restoration. the iPhone is stuck on the connect to iTunes screen and isn't recognized by the computer when I plug it in.
What can I do to fix it? I'll definitely be needing my phone in the next few days and need it fixed ASAP!
    Can anyone help me please??

yes, just to say a big thank you to Apple ...realizing today while browsing these forums that I haven't been the only one. Happened to me when I updated from 8.1.2 to 8.1.3 OTA... device (iPhone 4s) stuck in recovery mode ... how nice, this has never ever happened to me after years of using iOS, whether I updated OTA or via iTunes, never. I was then delighted to experience the restore process ... wasted hours doing that thanks again ! (I have many apps and a big backup so...). Seriously, this is unacceptable.

  • FaceTime call to iPhone # - Yosemite stuck on "Connecting"

    FaceTime call to iPhone #.
When I try to answer on Mac mini w/ 10.10, it gets stuck on “Connecting” and will not connect. I can accept it on my iPhone.

    Howdy Chris,
Thanks for all the help you’ve provided over the years!
If you haven’t already, try running through the general troubleshooting suggestions in the article below. There’s a few tips in the article that may help you resolve the issue receiving FaceTime calls on your Mac mini.
    FaceTime for Mac: Troubleshooting FaceTime
    Troubleshooting FaceTime for Mac
You can make FaceTime calls using the FaceTime app. You can call FaceTime users whose contact information is in Contacts. You can add contacts and edit contact information in either FaceTime or Contacts. To place a video call, you may use a phone number or email address.
If you encounter issues making or receiving FaceTime calls, try the following:
Verify that FaceTime is enabled in FaceTime > Preferences.
If the issue persists, or if you see the message "Waiting for Activation", try toggling FaceTime off and then on.
Verify that the Date, Time, and Time Zone are set correctly:
From the Apple () menu, choose System Preferences > Date & Time > Date & Time.
    Enable "Set Automatically".
Click the Time Zone tab and confirm the closest city is correct.
Verify that both parties are connected to an active broadband Internet connection.
See Mac OS X: Troubleshooting a cable modem, DSL, or LAN Internet connection.
Consult Using FaceTime behind a firewall for necessary ports to open in firewalls, security software and routers.
If you encounter issues using a Wi-Fi network, use standard Wi-Fi network troubleshooting to resolve interference and other issues.
Verify the phone number or email address being used is the correct one activated for FaceTime.
You can verify that you are using a valid Apple ID at appleid.apple.com. You can also create an Apple ID or reset your password from this website.
Verify that both parties have installed the latest software updates for their Mac and/or device. See:

  • Wrong Password "stuck" in Connect to Server... But Keychain is Correct

I have a collection of AFP servers to which I routinely connect from my desktop. The login names and passwords are stored in the keychain so the Connect to Server dialogue is pre-filled. One stopped authenticating yesterday and I came to realize the password that is stored is incorrect. If I erase the password field and type the correct one, the connection completes.
At first I started fiddled with different combinations of typing the proper password and checking or unchecking the "Remember" box. It still continued to store the wrong password.
I then went and located the keychain entry for the AFP server in question, did a Get Info and asked it to reveal the password. The password it had was the right one.
I deleted the entire keychain entry for that server.
Upon returning to the Connect to Server dialogue, there was still the wrong password stored in the field. I erased it, typed in the correct one and connected. I then went and checked the keychain entry, revealed the password and it was correct.
I disconnected the server and brought up Connect to Server again... wrong password stored. But again, the password in the keychain entry is correct.
As a test, I deleted the keychain entry for another one of the stored servers. After doing so, the password field is (as expected) blank in the Connect to Server dialogue. Entering the proper password stores the proper password in the keychain and the dialogue box.
Deleting the keychain entry for this server, though, does NOT eliminate the stored password in the Connect to Server dialogue.
For some reason, the wrong password seems to be permanently stuck in the Connect to Server dialogue for this ONE server regardless of whether there is a corresponding keychain entry. Everytime it makes a new entry, it stores the right password... just not in the dialogue box.
Where on earth is it storing this information? Why would it be anywhere but the keychain?
    Any thoughts?
I'm about to trash the entire keychain but was hoping to find a better solution before taking this more drastic step.

Problem semi-resolved... turns out two of the AFP servers are being seen almost as one server (the identities are being mixed up by the desktop for whatever reason). Trying to determine why now...
