IPhone "Risk Assessment"

Not sure if this is the best place, but . . . in getting my iPhone 3GS purchased from AT&T over the phone, I was told I'd be receiving a confirmation email. When it did not come for 5 hours, I called back. I've heard people say they love the phone, but hate AT&T's service. I've cussed AT&T many times in the past and it may be more of the same going forward. It took a ton of time for them to find my order. During the conversation, I was told that there is a "team" that does a "risk assessment" on every order. Has anyone heard of that? If so, what might it be? Obviously, they check you for credit worthiness. That's standard. This sounded like something more. The guy said that's why it takes longer to get an iPhone. Do they Google you to see if you've ever said anything bad about AT&T or Apple? Are they checking with the NSA to see if you're on a terrorist watch list? :~) What gives here? It sounds big brotherly.

But do you know anything about the internal processes at AT&T? This was clearly something above and beyond for iPhones only. My credit is excellent, so that's not an issue. My previous experiences with AT&T have been very poor for years. I avoided them completely, but now can't because they bought BellSouth. And people I talked to with the iPhone said they hated AT&T. So far, my experience with them parallels my previous experiences and what I hear from others. My order is going on 18 hours old and I can't get any information from them. Their systems are failing to find it based on the order number and the cell phone number and when I try to get to a person "they are experiencing technical difficulties and are unable to transfer" me. They suggest another number, but it's the same situation there (and then at the end, they suggest calling the number I just called). It's just proof that when you get to a certain size you can provide bad service for years and years and still manage to survive. I only moved off Verizon because of this one phone. I'll be so glad when the iPhone gets to Verizon. If what I've experienced so far is any predictor of future service, I'll be back to Verizon in a nanosecond.

  • Risk Assessment link with incident/accident Log entry.

    Hi
Nee your input for below Challenge.
We are looking for development, which help us to link Risk Assessment with incident/accident Log entry in CBIH82.
Scenario - We would like to add Risk Assessment option in the incident / accident log entry screen, like we standard have function for safety measure
    Thanks
    Sunil Jawalkar

    Hi Sunil,
Are you attempting to u201Clinku201D the standard IHS Risk Assessment functionality to the Incident/Accident log?
In my opinion there is a fundamental problem with this solution approach.  The standard IHS Risk assessment is inherently linked to a Work Area.  The intention is to identify, evaluate and control risks and hazards that are encountered within a specific work area.  This functionality supports measurement management and exposure management but does not fit well with the acute nature of the incident based risk assessment, although, a risk that is identified and addressed initially as the result of an incident may ultimately be added to the Risk Register of the Work Area where the incident occurred.
The best approach I have found is to enhance the incident record with a Risk Assessment tab that allows the user to identify the individual incident risks based on different risk impacts like People, Environment, Assets, Reputation, Quality and so forth based on client requirements.  Any incident could have one or more risk impacts that contribute to the overall risk rating of the incident.  Each u201Crisk impactu201D is evaluated on the clients standard risk matrix dimensions like Severity, Likely hood and so on.  In this way each risk impact has a unique risk rating.  You can then either identify one of the impacts as the main incident risk rating or have a routine that, based on logic and risk matrix, evaluates the unique risk impact ratings and determines an overall risk rating for the incident.
Once the unique risk impacts have been evaluated, there should be the ability to reevaluate each impact based on the controls or safety measures that have been implemented.  These u201Cresidual risksu201D could be linked directly to the safety measure that addresses the risk so that the details of the control are apparent.
I would also consider some type of status management that would indicate when the risk assessment was complete.  This could be used to enforce a risk assessment for incidents that meet predefined conditions like u201Cincident cannot be closed if it meets criteria 1, 2 and 3 and the risk assessment status is initialu201D.  The risk assessment status could also be used support reporting requirements for outstanding risk assessments and so on.
To implement this approach, I would recommend utilizing one of the menu exits or, if possible, a custom Web Dynpro application linked via BAPI.
Hope this helps or at least spurs some thought.

    Scott

  • Display the risk assessment and its follow on risk assessment together

    Hello,
I have a requirement of displaying the Risk assessment and its Followon risk assessment on one screen.
    The scenario goes like this:
I created a Risk assessment, for a work area, and closed it after making necessory changes. Now over the period, when I do the follow on Risk assessment, I  should get the details of my original risk assessment also.
I know system creates a change no. for the follow on risk assessment and both original and follow on risk assessment can be viewed using the key dates. But the reqiremnet here is to see both the versions on the same screen.
Is there any report available for the same?
    Regards,
    Niraj

    Hello,
With the report: S_ALN_01001345 - List Versions of Risk Assessments i can see the list of Risk assessment and its follow on assessment, but its just alist, there is no link.
As you create a follow on assessment, it is creating with change no. So once the follow on assessment has been created you can see the same.
    Closing the thread.

  • Risk Assessment Talent Assessments

    Hello Experts,
Question on the Risk Assessment, TM Ehp6.  I've created a risk assessment with two elements and a scale of 1-3 (Low, Med, High).  The two elements (Likelihood of Occurance, and Impact of Business) can be assessed by the manager and saved, no problem there.  The Risk assessment with the scales and the final score are dislaying fine on the MSS/TMS talent profile (detail) however on the short profile where it says Risk Assessment it displays N/A.  It also shows N/A anywhere else there is risk assessment field like on the Grid and Nakisa 4.0.  How does the Risk assessment display in these fields? If there is more than one element does it take an average?  All other assessments, Per/Pot/Derailers etc, display correctly.
Any clarification would be much appreciated.
    Thanks
    Sarah

    Hi Sarah,
Firstly, for Nakisa you need to configure the VB object ID in the ABAP Add-on settings in the Data Center in the AdminConsole.
For the Short Profile, it seems like there might be a bug because it uses the same BAdI fields to display the data. You can check this in the IMG under Talent Management & Talent Development > Basic Settings > Adjusting the User Interfaces. Here you can check the Talent (Long) Profile and Short Profiles to ensure that they are using the same fields.
    Best regards,
    Luke

Risk Assessment - Specify Exposure Ratings
    Hi
Iam new to EHS module u2026
    In u201CSpecify Exposure Rating Categoriesu201D
Analysis methods are included in the standard shipment (questionnaire, measured value-reference value comparison, ...)
I want to use another analysis method; I created a rating category u201CZR1u201D for the analysis method.
How can I use ZR1 in determining Exposure Risk Ratings?
    All help will be appreciated.
    Regards,

    Hi,
In order to use your Exposure Risk Ratings, You can use the below steps:
    1. After you create a Exposure Risk Category, You should specify it in Risk Matrix
    2. Go to Risk Matrix and provide your "ZR1" Category in each of the Risk ratings for Severity of Risk
    3. Similarly specify "ZR1" Risk category in each of the Risk ratings for Probability of the Risk
    4. Now, for each of the Risk rating, maintain the Risk Matrix - Here you specify what should be the Final Rating when the Severity and Probability is given.
    5. Now you will be able to use the Exposure Risk Ratings of your own in the Risk Assessment.
    Hope it Helps,

  • Talent Assessment form - what table is the data stored in?

    Hi All,
I am just wondering what SAP data table is used to store the data from the Talent Assessment form?
    Kind regards,
    Luke

    Hey Luke:
So for Potential - HRP7408-POTENTIAL.  SAP came up with a very nice and easy way to find the performance and potential values, which is great.
For Risk of Loss, that's not really stored in the same way.  I wish I could tell you this would be easy, but it's not.  For the output on the Talent Profile screens, SAP simplifies it for configurators and lets them choose a value called SAP_RISK.  If you want to go get a person's risk assessment (or impact of loss... or whatever Assessment attribute other than potential you want) other than this, you'd do it the same way as SAP does it for SAP_RISK
They start by looking at the table t77tmcaesfield.  This is the set of fields you maintain in the IMG step - "Adjust Data Retrieval for Appraisals, Evaluations, and Surveys".  This is where you say template (VA) and criteria group (VB) is where the risk value is stored in.
You can find the source code for this in BAdI BADI_HRTMC_DR_FIELDS -> Enhancement Implementation HRTMC_IM_DR_FIELDS_AES -> Method IF_HRTMC_DR_FIELDS~GET_FIELD_INFOS
Then in the same path, Method IF_HRTMC_DR_FIELDS~GET_FIELD_VALUES details how they get the values.  Basically they call Class cl_hrtmc_cp_basic_utilities and Method get_aes_field_value_fapp.
If you look at that Method, it has all of the ugly details about getting the appraisal document ID for a person, then using what you already have to grab the value of the correct data element.
Hopefully that helps you, sorry it's not more straightforward.  Holler if you have any questions.
    Thanks,
    Chris

  • "Get Risk" button not working inTaskList Safety Plan tab

    Hi Experts,
I am implementing Worker Safety Management where I am trying to add Relevant Risks in Safety Plan using button Get Risks, but it does not show any risks to add. I have done required configuration in PM & Risk Management, also I am getting risks in PM order automatically (based on location).
I am trying same thing for task list, Can you suggest what I am missing? Or any other configuration I need to Get the Risks in Task List's Safety Plan
    Thanks In Advance

    Hello Amol
for your requirement , you can use "job hazard Analysis" is a type of risk assessment , in which we will carried our risk analysis for each and every step of process , For example one technician is attending any job like assembling of pump , in this we will carried our Hazard analysis for each and every step involved in the pump assembly. based on the identified hazards we will determine the intial risk levels and determine the existing controlling methods , incase if any lapses are there we will implement new controls with respective worker safety.. and initiate the different notifications for implementing new controls (Maintenance task /Quality task).

  • Risk Quantification -

    Good morning,
I'm starting to work with Primavera Risk Analysis and i would like to sort a doubt in regards the Quantification and calculations the system did on an exercise i launched some days ago. (Real information)
I built up the Risk Register and assigned the Qualitative and Quantitative information as per Risk Matrix (5x5) in which:
for e.g for the first risk i have asigned on premitigated scenario:
Qualitative evaluation: Probability 30% (L) and VH for the Schedule Impact (>5 days) - Based on matrix
Impacted 21 Tasks distributing the impact by series (Load all the impact within the activities) - it means
    Triangular Distribution:
    (All tasks the same)
    Minimum = 1
    Most Likely = 1
    Maximum = 1
My doubt is when i'm exporting the tabular layout and see the Quantification as follow:
    (All tasks the same)
    Minimum Duration = 4
    Most Likely Duration = 5
    Maximum Duration = 7
With VH Total Quantitative value of 105
I've been looking on the tool but i have not found any clue about the calculations or the variable the program takes to calculates these Durations.
Can any please help me to interpretate these situation and the way Primavera Risk Analysis based on the Qualitative and Quantitative infromation given through Risk Register calculates these 3 Durations?
Thanks i will really appreciate the feedback.

  • Risk Management Plan ERP WW Implementation

    Hello All
I´m developing a Risk Management Plan and need to identify risks related to ERP implementation in multiple geographies. The implementations will be based on the same template and the template, a base model, will be managed in a centralized way by the corporation, both from a process and from an IT perspective, e.g., process changes that impact the base model will be approved by a centralized group responsible for the integrity of the base model. These changes, if approved, will be incorporated to the base model under a strict versioning and configuration management policy. The Business and IT organizations will have to manage both the integrity of the base model (and its versions) and the rollout of specific versions to the geographies. Geographies include Latin America, North America, Africa.
I´m willing to identify risks of the strategy to the business itself (the strategy I described above) and it´s impact on the IT organization/processes that will need to support it. This company already runs SAP on it´s biggest business unit, now it will be expanding the solution to smaller BUs in other countries. The base model currently used by the corporation is different than the base model (template) that will be implemented in the smaller BUs, for historical reasons.
A good start could be a Risk Assessment (part of a typical Risk Management Plan) of an ERP implementation project with similar characteristics, e.g.: multiple geographies, different Business Units in these geographies, having to ensure integrity of the base model (template), etc...
Does anyone have anything similar to this that I could use as a start? Thanks.

    Hi Jose,
Its quite interesting that you are working on Risk management . Risk management Plan requires to analyze the organization based on its Operations,Financial activities.
As per my understnading Risk management process is involved or can be segregated based on the following classification .
    a) Financial Risk
    b) Operational Risk
    c) Strategic Risk
    d)External Risk
Your Risk management Plan cna start up with the identify, categorize and analyze enterprise risks.
    a) Financial Risk:
            -  Based on the complexity ,size and nature of organization identify first top
ten financial risks in the company.
    b) Operational Risks:
            -  Quality
            -  Hiring and retention
            - Supply Chain
            - Succession Planning
    c) Strategic Risks:
            - Intellectual Property Infringement / Counterfiet
            - Business Model and portfolio
            - Resource alignment
    d) Exteran Risks:
            - Catastophic/Business Interrruption
            - Technological innovation
            - Competetors
While coming to Risk management Life-Cycle:
    1. Validation and verification
    2. Risk Treatment process
    3. Governance & Monitoring
Based on the Low and high point methods you can identify the risks and give ranks based on the risk priority and prepare a graphical presentation .
As per above risks classification i am giving you more classification it will help you to prepare your Risk management plan in detailed ananlysis:
    a) Financial Risks:
           -  Cash Flow
           - Credit
           -  Debit
           - Equity
           - Interest rates
    b) Operational Risks;
          - Catastophe /BI
          - Change Mangement
          - Security
    c) Strategic risks:
          - Brand repuatation
          - Business Model Portfolio
          -Channel
          - IP Infringment/Counterfiet
          - Quality
          - Resource allocation /Alignment
    d) External Risks:
           - Competeiotrs
           - Customers Needs / Product support
           - Legal / anti-trust
           - Regulatory / Taxation
           - Technological Innovations
This information will help you to start your Risk analysis Plan. Please let me know if you need any thing esle on this.

  • Enterprise Risk Management Approach in SAP GRC

    Hi All,
Can you please let me know  as to what is the approach followed for implementation of  Enterprise Risk Management (ERM) in SAP GRC.  Also please tell me how the internal control frameworks like COSO, COBIT is mapped to ERM in SAP GRC.
    Regards
    Vivek

    Dear Vivek,
While assigning roles to users, you will be displayed the risks that are identified with those roles, if any. You can either mitigate or remove the roles.
The process covered by GRC Risk management includes the following steps:
-Risk Planning: Determines the approach to risk management in each business area or project. This includes setting up the risk management organization and defining risk thresholds . This phase is partially supported by a software application.
-Risk Identification and Analysis: Identifies the risks in order to analyze and prioritize them along different attributes, such as probability of occurrence and potential total loss associated to the risk.
-Risk Response: Decides on actions needed to respond to a risk. One action could be to actively mitigate the risk to reduce probability of occurrence and/or potential impact.
-Risk Monitoring: Includes the regular update of risk information and the risk reporting to monitor progress along the risk management process.
The Risk Management application provides a set of different reporting capabilities based on the individual needs of the target groups:
-A set of built-in reports that are delivered with the application. These reports allow risk managers to review the current risk state.
-Visual Composer based dashboards that provide information about the current risk status on an aggregated basis. The dashboards fulfill the risk reporting needs of senior managers and line managers.
Step 1: You maintain the Risk structure
    1. You set up the organizational hierarchy
    2. You set up the Activity Hierarchy
    3. You set up the Risk Hierarchy
Step 2: You perform the Risk Assessment
    1. You identify the risks
    2. You analyze the risks
    3. You respond to risks
    4. You document the Incidents
Step 3: You analyze risk reports
    1. You generate risk reports
    2. You report the incidents
Step 4: You analyze the dashboards
Refer SAP documentation on GRC for more information.
    Regards,
    Naveen.

OUR STRENGTH IS THE SUM OF THE INDIVIDUALS WHO WORK HERE PRACTICE SAFETY ALWAYS.

    Dear Ian ,
    Thanks for your reply .
Following are the course of events in my testing for the SNP Optimizer :
    (a) I have not selected Discrete Optimisation with Fixed Material and Resource Consumption as 30 days .
    (b) The resource did not have a set up matrix assigned to the resource and the PPDS which was CIF from ECC was having the figure of variable as well as fixed consumption .
    (c) Conversion of the PPDS PPM into SNP PPM with variable lot size generated the variable and fixed consumption figures in the SNP PPM as well ,
    (d) During the SNP Optimiser Run it considered the set up time defined in the fixed consumption and the processing time in the variable consumption leading to giving the right quantity after considering say 0.5 hrs of set up time .
    (e) Now after attaching the set up matrix to the resource the PPDS PPM generated has to read set up from the set up group and key and thus has no figure in the fixed consumption .
    (f) SNP PPM converted from the PPDS PPM as generated in point (e) leads to capturing no figure of fixed consumption in the SNP PPM .
Request you to review the above points and advice how to set up the master data objects and SNP Optimiser Profile so that even after the set up matrix assigned it should pick up the set up time .
    Thanks and Best Regards ,
