Iphone warranty claim in Malaysia

anyone know how to claim warranty for my Iphone 3GS which is bring back from overseas. and i have tried to ask a lot of Apple Service Centre here but they only do claim warranty for Iphone which is purchased locally. Any suggestions??? TQ

You have to bring the iPhone back to the country of origin.
You can contact the original service provider, or if the country has an apple store you can take it back there to see about a warranty claim. You can check here to see who is responsible for the iPhone support:

    The answer you have received is not strickly true - you purchased the phone in Italy and Italy is a European country, so your warranty is in fact valid for any EU country - so it would also be valid for France, Germany and the UK etc.
    Also, you won't be able to send the phone to Italy.  You need to take it there in person or send it to a friend there who will be able to help you.

  • IPhone Warranty - Help!

    Hi,
    I have an issue with my iPhone 4, whereby, when I plug it into charge, it starts up, displays the Apple logo for about 5 seconds then powers down. About 10seconds later, this repeats - and this continues with no progress beyond the apple logo.
    I'm an expat living in Guangzhou, China - so I took the phone to the only Apple Premium Service Center here. They looked at it with a light, and said that it had been exposed to water. It has NOT been exposed to water, and I let them know this. They then said they do not have the parts to repair and I needed to go back to Hong Kong where I bought it from. I don't speak Chinese, and the lady did speak OK English, but I'm not sure if the "we don't have parts" is due to them thinking it was exposed to water - or if they actually can't repair (which would surprise me).
    I really don't want to have to take this to HK for repair, and I'm pretty sure I shouldn't have to under Apple's International Warranty (of which this phone is still under). I did some reading, and am guessing she looked for a pink line - which seems to happen when the phone is exposed to water. In my case it hasn't, and I did read that high humidity can cause the same effect. Guangzhou is very humid, and the issue occurred shortly after I returned from Thailand on business - extremely high humidity.
    _*The bottom line is - where do I go next?*_
    I'm unable to fully discuss this with the service center here in Guangzhou (due to English/Chinese language limitations). Hong Kong is not somewhere I will be traveling any time soon, so I'm at a loss for how I can successfully follow up with a warranty claim & repair here. I can't believe a Premium Apple Service center doesn't have parts to repair the phone!

    iPhones are only serviced under warranty in the country where they were purchased. While HK is the same "country" as Guangzhou politically, I suspect it is not from the perspective of Apple's distribution and franchising. You can check the phone yourself; look at the bottom connector and in the headset jack with a light. If you see a red spot in either location the phone was exposed to water, whether you recall it or not. The sensors don't change from white to red unless they got wet.

    If I go through Verizon for a warranty claim under the 1yr warranty and they ship me out a replacement device, will that void my AppleCare+? The reason I ask is because I picked up AppleCare plus, but the nearest Apple store is close to an hour away, and I figure it'll be more convienent to hit up the Verizon Store (and definitely quicker vs. doing it over the phone).

    Apple handles ALL hardware support for iPhones.
    The only reason to take it to VZW would be an insurance claim if you have insurance on the device through them.
    I would not take it to VZW otherwise as it could potentially cause issues in the future if you needed to utilize the Apple Care Protection + that you purchased.

    As has already been pointed out, iPhone warranty is country specific, so if you purchased the phone in Singapore, then your warranty is only valid for Singapore and NOT Malasia.
    It might be bad, but perhaps that is something that you need to think about and take into account when you purchase an iPhone in another country.  Perhaps you should have purchased your phone in Malasia rather than Singapore and then you would not have this problem in the first place.

    Dear all ,
    i have the requirement , where in notification (say service notification) to be created from warranty claim document i.e.., created in wty transaction code.
    i captured all the data in warranty claim like equipment , customer , sales area , material and also entered relevant notification type i.e.,S3 , but still when i click on Create notification icon in the waranty claim document, system is  unable to create notification with out any error or warning messages .
    in the actions i assigned T205 (which is used to create quality or service notification) and i checked and saved the document , but still system is not generating the notification.
    whether i missed any configuration or any thing to do at the time of creating the warranty claim .... please suggest.

  • Dealer Warranty claims Open items

    Hi All,
    My client in  4.6  has written a custom process to deal with "Dealer Warranty claims".  Currently the custom process  will clear multiple open items in a customers account (debits and credits) and create one open item (Post with Clearing).  If there is a balance due to the dealer, etc, they have the ability to create and clear a portion of the single open item with a payment and create a residual item that is blocked until the next pass of the custom process.
    I am looking for information as to how current clients handle processing of "Warranty claims by dealers". How would clients handle thousands of invoices?

    I understand that the standard process of FSCM does not provide this. We are thinking of customizing it anyway. Now we have to decide if the customization is client As-Is process in New system or FSCM customization.
    I want to know if the following customization is possible in FSCM and it's complexity -
    1. AR pushes open items to FSCM Collections mgt
    2. In FSCM, in Worlist under Payments tab, I can add new column "New Payment amount" which allows user to modify/adjust the actual payment
    3. With enhancement, this modified amount in the Worlist should be posted back to AR as open item and remaining amount as residual item.
    4. The open item will be automatically picked by F110.
    For better understanding, example - if the open item sent from AR to FSCM is $100. In the "New Payment amount" column, I will enter $40 (client wants to pay only $40 to dealer for warranty). Then this $40 should be posted back as an open item in AR with $60 residual amount with blocked status.
    Does this scenario work? A lot of customization and enhancement is required though, but just want to know if it works in FSCM and it's complexity of work?
    I really appreciate your time and help on this. I need all your expertise in this area.

    If you don't know the sender, then it is most likely a scam or spam email. I get them every day - I just delete them. I also get daily notices from Facebook or someone called Adriana at Facebook even though i do not have an account there. Can't do anything about it - just delete it.

    We are using warranty claim procesing component under Customer Service Module ( Tcode - OWTY) . Though we are able to post accounting documents , Costing based  COPA documents are not getting generated though we were able to generate account based COPA documents. We have ensured the following
    1) The General Ledger Account used in the Revenue Account determination is defined as a Revenue cost element
    2) The condition types have been mapped to Value fields
    3) The default profitablity segment derivation has been selected
    4) In the Warranty claim type , COPA PA transfer structure has been assined.
