IPhoto '11 Print Products Store Unavailable Australia Only

Hi Everyone,
I am getting the error when I go to buy any of the print products in iPhoto '11 "Oops, the store is temporarily unavailable"
When I change the print products store to a country other than Australia it works without problem.
Has anyone else come across this problem yet and if so were you able to resolve it.
Regards,
Mark

Not working in France for the past two days. I tried with several apple ID, several postal adress and several Credit card, at different time of day and night .... and... nothing.
No help by using the "report a comment about iphoto" as the answer clearly indicates:
We cannot respond to you personally, but please know that your message has been received and will be reviewed by the iPhoto Team. If we need to follow up with you on your ideas for improving iPhoto, we will contact you directly. We appreciate your assistance in making iPhoto better.
I guess i will be killed by my mother in law for not giving her the yearly grand children book... I hope that my home will indicate : "Killed by Apple's overloaded printing service".

How do you change the Print Products Store from USA to UK like you can do in IPhoto?

Please keep in mind that Aperture is not an enhanced iPhoto, it is a different application with a different philosophy and a different intended audience. If you approach it with that in mind you will have a lot less frustration as you learn Aperture.
Aperture adds a layer of complexity that is not needed by many.  iPhoto is a very powerful application and fits the needs of many amateur photographers.
As for your original issue, as I said I am surprised that iPhoto allows you do switch countries like that and am not surprised that Aperture doesn't. If this is something you really need to do working in Aperture but using iPhoto to order the prints is a good work around and will not be all that difficult to do once you get the hang of it.
As for your new question, the books in iPhoto and Aperture are different enough that the code that created the book in iPhoto wouldn't work in Aperture. What happens when you import an iPhoto library into Aperture is that the images in the book are combined into an album in Aperture with the same name as the iPhoto book. You will need to re-create the book in Aperture uaing the images in this album.
Hope this helps, post back if you have anymore questions.

  • Iphoto book printing outside US

I want to order an iPhoto book in The Netherlands. When I press Buy Book I only get the option to buy in the US. I created a new Apple ID with an address in The Netherlands. Still I can only enter a shipping address in the US when I press Buy Book.

Go to iPhoto's Advanced preference pane and select Netherlands under the  Print Products Store menu.

  • Can a calendar from iphoto be printed anywhere?

Can a calendar from iphoto be printed in another region than where the account is set up? I am in Switzerland and would like to get my calendar to the States for Christmas. There must be a way to print it in the States and have it delivered directly.

    Sorry, no.
The billing address and shipping address must be in the same country, the country you are setting in the iPhoto Preferences > Advanced > Print products Store.

  • Cannot order iphoto print product

While I almost finished placing an order of a book created by iphoto 11 on my Mackbook Air,  I remembered that I needed to change a page.  Hence, at the last step of ordering,  I hit the "Cancel" button to return to iPhoto for the editing.  After I got done the editing,  I was unable to order the book nor any print products.  The message has been  " An error occurred while contacting the Apple Online Store. Please try again."   All my preference settings are correct and proper.     I  checked my two other  regular Macbooks which share the same router, both have no problem at all to order  print products.   It appears that the Apple Online Store connection is blocked only to the one computer I used to almost finished placing the order.   I have created 3 100 page iphoto books and ready for print.   They cannot be exported, as I understand.  Restarting my MacBook Air and the modem and changing date/time (as some suggested)  did not help at all.   Any help would be greatly appreciated.

    Exact same problem here...

  • IPhoto Print products Q.

I'm trying to change the shipping address for an album I've created, from Australia to Italy, but it doesnt allow me to do this.
    Does anyone have any pointers?
    Thanks

One can ship to the same country that is the billing address of the credit card used.  So to purchase and ship to Italy you would need to have a credit card that's billed to an Italian address.  And you need to change the Print Products country to Italy in the iPhoto Preferences.

I'm a brand new Mac user. I want to send photos from Iphoto to my local store for printing, like I can do in Picasa. I can't find that option in Iphoto. I do not want to order them through Itunes.

I have not idea how you do it with Picasa but with iPhoto you either export the photos to a desktop folder and upload from there or burns that folder to CD - or from the upload window use the media browser in the lower left hand corner of the upload windows - media ==> photos ==> iPhoto

  • Restrict print out of Purchase order only for Production system

    Hi,
I want to restrict print out of Purchase order only for Production system, don't want to take it in devep or quality.
is there any identifier to find the system is production or development.
can anyone tell me how to restrict it,
is there any function module, not based on client system.
    Thanx in advance
    Kesav

    Hi Kesavarathinam Vaidyalingam ,
yes, I also use thomas' suggestion using
    t000-cccategory = 'P'.
    to determine productive client.
Just one small hint: I found this condition as true in a test system: The admin had done a system copy to create a fresh test client - but forgot (or did not see a good reason) to change t000-cccategory = 'P. to  t000-cccategory = 'T'.

  • Moving to Photos will preserve print products?

    Hi,
    Question 1: print products
When you start using the new Photos app, you can convert your iPhoto Library.
When you convert your iPhoto Library will it also include previously created print products (e.g. Photobook)?
Does anyone can confirm this? Via Apple Support I heard it may lack certain themes. But is there any new Photos user who can see their photobooks created previously in iPhoto?
Question 2: My iPhoto's library is in the twilight zone
I have a MacBook Pro from 2008, which had OSX 10.5 and iPhoto v7 preinstalled.
Since I could not order Print Products at Apple with iPhoto v7, I decided to upgrade and purchased Snow Leopard (OSX 10.6) at Apple.
After upgrading the hardware (SSD+8GB memory), I installed Snow Leopard (OSX 10.6) from DVD.
Once running Snow Leopard (OSX 10.6), I updated to the latest release: Yosemite (OSX 10.10.3).
Since iPhoto is removed from the App store, I only have the new Photos app and an old iPhoto library (v7.x).
So now my iPhoto library is in the twilight zone: v7.x and no way to open it. Any advise on this?
PS: My iPhoto came as pre-installed iLife '08 bundle with my new Mac in 2008. So iPhoto is not in my Purchases list in the App Store (also not hidden).
If it was in the Purchases list, I could install iPhoto from there (which is pushed as 9.6.1 apperently).
Via E-bay, I bought a second handed iPhoto v9.6, which installed succesfully.
However the icon is a 'forbidden' sign and I can not open the application.
The error says: this version is not supported on Mac OSX 10.10.3 and I should update iPhoto via the App Store (including the link).
The link to the App Store is unable to open due to a non-existing product in the App Store.
Official Apple Support leaves me on my own and says there is no way to get the 9.6.1 update.
    Thanks in advance,
    Sander Fiers

Hi Léonie, thanks for your effort to reply.
    Printed Products
To order the printed Photobook as I created it in iPhoto 7.x, I can assume now I would have to order it from within iPhoto 11.
The new Photos app is no option for this.
    Upgrade library on Snow Leopard
I could offcourse redo the whole thing and install Snow Leopard again. However that is no solution. When you run the iPhoto Library Upgrader, from within the process just prior to finishing, it want to open iPhoto 11. The iPhoto 11 I have is v9.6, which does not run on Maverick (10.9), so my guess is that it wouldn't run on previous versions either, like Snow Leopard (10.6).
    E-bay
Because iPhoto is no longer in the App Store, I bought it second handed for that reason.
    Friend with iPhoto
I have a friend which has a Mac running Maverick (10.9) with iPhoto (v9.5.1). The friend doesn't use iPhoto at all.
I think the best way is to go over to my friend, with my outdated iPhoto library (v7.x) on an external HD (HFS+ format!).
Copy that out-dated iPhoto Library (v7.x) to local disk. Upgrade the iPhoto library (v7.x) with the Library Upgrader and iPhoto v9.5.1.
Open the up-to-date local iPhoto library (v9.x).
Order my Printed Photobook from within that iPhoto v9.5.1.
Then move the converted Library (v9.x) back to the external HD.
And back at home on my MacBook running Yosemite (10.10.3) copy the up-to-date iPhoto Library (v9.x) to my local disk.
Open that up-to-date iPhoto Library (v9.x) on local disk with Photos and let it convert to Photos.
Try to forget of the very nice application called iPhoto.
And then I will have to use Photos (in despite of the negative aspects early adaptors have with the new app).
The only sad thing is: the iPhoto v9.5.1 my friend has, came pre-installed with her Mac. If it was a purchased one, it would have been better.
Then she could login with her Apple ID in the App Store on my MacBook. And normally then I would have the iPhoto v9.6.1 installer/updater in the Purchases list. But that would have been Utopia offcourse... I know this isn't very legally. But it would be a temporary workaround untill Apple releases a decent version of Photos. And not the beta version which is live now.

  • IPhoto Book Print - Rejected

    Sirs
Could you please help me with an issue that I currently have with iPhoto.
As a Christmas Present for my 6 year old daughter, I have created an iPhoto book of our recent trip to EuroDisney. I completed the book and purchased it via the Apple Store in iPhoto.
However, I have today received an email stating as follows:
    To Our Valued Apple Customer:
It appears that when your order was submitted to Apple, an error caused the
image file to be unreadable or unprintable. As a result, Apple is unable to
process your order and you will not be charged. We recommend the following
      before submitting your order:
      1. Update your software.
      2. Restart your computer.
      3. Make sure all applications are closed.
      4. Open iPhoto or Aperture.
      5. While all other applications are closed, preview your print product as a
      PDF.
      6. Resubmit your order.
While previewing and resubmitting your order, make sure all other applications
are closed. For instructions on how to update your software, refer to:
Mac OS X - Updating your software
      <http://support.apple.com/kb/ht1338>
I have checked the version of my MacBook - it is OS X 10.7 and I have checked the version of my iPhoto - it is 9.1.5. When selecting purchase in iPhoto, it is stating that I need to upgrade to 9.2.3. However, when I attempt to check for new updates in iPhoto itself, it is stating that my version is the latest version. Furthermore, checking for software updates via the Apple logo does not bring up any update for iPhoto nor does any updates in my Application Store.
It seems as if I require an update but there are no ways in which I can update this.
Could someone please advise / assist as I desperately want to get this book printed.
    Many Thanks
    Paul

If you update your system to 10.7.5 with the OS X Lion Update 10.7.5 (Client Combo) and OS X Lion 10.7.5 Supplemental Update updaters you can update your iPhoto version all the way to 9.4.2 thru the updaters availailable here: Apple - Support - Downloads-iPhoto 9.
But that's no guarantee that will fix the problem. If the problem image appears OK in a PDF preview of the book it should, as Larry pointed out, print out OK.  If it doesn't look OK in the PDF preview file export it out of iPhoto, open in Preview and export as a new, JPEG file.  Import it back into iPhoto, add to the book and replace the problem file with the newly created one.  Then create a new PDF file of the book and check that photo.

  • IPhoto not printing

since updating to 7.1.3 iPhoto - cannot print. I get a message saying: "There were no themes located. Until at least one theme has been installed, this feature will be unavailable."
In Application Support I have the iPhoto themes. Don't know what to do.

    Welcome to the Apple Discussions.
    Restoring iPhoto Themes
First look in your User/Library/Application Support/iPhoto folder for a Themes folder. If you find it there move it to the HD/Library/Application Support/iPhoto folder and reboot. Then try iPhoto again. That may save you having to go thru the reinstallation process described below:
1 - delete the current application.
2 - delete any files with iPhoto in the file name that reside in your HD/Library/Receipts folder.
3 - delete the Themes folder from your User/Library/Application Support/iPhoto folder. Also look in the HD/Library/Application Support/iPhoto folder for a Themes folder. If there is one there then delete it also.
5 - boot into the system disk that came with your computer and do a custom install selecting only iPhoto.
After installing reinstall the iPhoto 7.1.1 updater again followed by a repair of disk permissions with Disk Utility. Also make sure you're running the latest Quicktime, 7.3.
TIP: For insurance against the iPhoto database corruption that many users have experienced I recommend making a backup copy of the Library6.iPhoto (iPhoto.Library for iPhoto 5 and earlier) database file and keep it current. If problems crop up where iPhoto suddenly can't see any photos or thinks there are no photos in the library, replacing the working Library6.iPhoto file with the backup will often get the library back. By keeping it current I mean backup after each import and/or any serious editing or work on books, slideshows, calendars, cards, etc. That insures that if a problem pops up and you do need to replace the database file, you'll retain all those efforts. It doesn't take long to make the backup and it's good insurance.
I've created an Automator workflow application (requires Tiger or later), iPhoto dB File Backup, that will copy the selected Library6.iPhoto file from your iPhoto Library folder to the Pictures folder, replacing any previous version of it. It's compatible with iPhoto 6 and 7 libraries and Tiger and Leopard. iPhoto does not have to be closed to run the application, just idle. You can download it at Toad's Cellar. Be sure to read the Read Me pdf file.
Note: There now an Automator backup application for iPhoto 5 that will work with Tiger or Leopard.

  • Purchased Several Songs ~ But iTunes Store "Unavailable"

Used iTunes yesterday evening (the 11th) to purchase several tracks by Marianne Faithful.
iTunes accepted the order (Said Starting Downloading etc.) then popped up a notice (But not an 'Error' warning) stating iTunes Store Unavailable - try later.
I did the 'Check For Purchases' routine, but it said "Checking for purchases", but then popped up a message stating iTunes Unable To Check for purchases"
I received an email about half an hour later informing me that I had purchased these titles and charged me.
I even tried getting the 'free single of the week' but same thing happens, accepts order, fails to download, pops up same messages as above, and also sends me an email saying I have purchased it.
If I use the 'View My Account' feature in itunes, it does indeed show these purchases, but i cannot get them!
I can download free tracks from the iTunes universities section ( some interesting Japanese culture related at MIT) with no trouble at all.
Anybody got any suggestions, or have they found iTunes Store unavailable to day September 11th /12th
I am using the UK store by the way.
    Thanks

Its is now over 24 hours now, and still the same problem. I have made sure that I have checked all the settings are correct as mentioned in the iTunes store help pages relating to the problem of being unable to download purchased items, including my Keychain, and Permissions for the iTunes folder etc. etc, and still no joy. This problem has only occurred since iTunes was upgraded on the 9th September to version 7.4.1 (2)
What really rubs salt in to the wound is the fact that I have received emails from iTunes confirming the purchase of these tracks, and the amount I have been charged, and also I can access all of my account details in iTunes showing the purchases. So if I can access this information, why cannot ITunes check and download my purchases?
I am becoming very fed up with Apple lately, this is just another example of their becoming so big, they cannot deal with problems, everything is now devoted to the new wonder toy the iPhone, whereas the poor suckers like me, who have been faithful for years buying their computers, are now put on the back burner, if you dont believe me, look at the name change from Apple Computers to Apple Inc.
For example, not one of my apple purchases has been recognised for the so called 'Complete my Album' or the 'iTunes Plus' even though they both qualify according to the terms and conditions. . When I asked apple about this, they said they wanted proof of receipts for all purchases including dates. ~ Yet they have it all in my account records.
Dont get me wrong I love Apple computers and other hardware, the iPods have been brilliant for me, but their support is now quite poor, and they are uninterested in the user's experience of support, which is not how it used to be.
Steve Jobs bounds on to the stage at each of the shows launches full of praise for his own new products, but he never says that they are investing in better support teams,
I hate to say it, but I am becoming very disillusioned with Apple.

  • There is No Music store for Australia Why???

there is no music store avalable to australia i tried to buy a tv program & music but it wont allow me because the music store is in the us & there is no Australian one not fair there should be a music store in australia with all the features of the us one

Domenic, welcome to discussions! The issue of an Aussie music store is asked in the forums several times a weeks. The record companies require contracts for Apple to obtain distribution rights for digital downloads. Until all appropriate contracts have been signed, there won't be an Aussie store. Blame the record companies, not Apple. That is about all I can say as speculation on any new products or services from Apple is against the "terms of use" of the forums. Let me emphasize this is a user to user forum only, so what I have said is my best guess.
Just a suggestion before you post since you are a new user, you might want to use the "search" button in the upper right corner to see if your question or problem has already been discussed. It could save you time, instead of waiting for someone to answer your post.

  • Creative shop/store in Australia? Creative hellooo

It's extremely difficult to find Creative store in Australia. I'd like to buy original accessories for my Creative Zen Vision:M. I visited a few of Creative online stores in Europe/America/Singapore, although none seems to offer shipping outside their region. If you suggest Ebay, Creative's Ebay store doesn't offer shipping overseas, and their method of payment is ridiculous. You need to ring them and tell them your credit card's details. What is that?
Even worse, Australia's official Creative's website does show all the Creative's products WITHOUT allowing their costumers to buy directly from them. Yes, it merely acts as a showroom for Creative. The heck, their "shop" link directs me to local dealer/retailer that doesn't seem to get updated since ages ago. I rang several retailers yesterday, and none sell the item I am looking for, "Creative Zen Vision Leather Case" nor other items except some flagship items such as MP3 Players, Speakers, Sound Card, etc.
I don't understand Creative. Why do you even bother to design the Australian Creative Website? I can visit Creative.com if I just want to browse around your products. I'd like to support you directly and so the other costumers as well but we can't. I am terribly dissappointed.
I am sorry to offend you in anyway, but Apple Australia is superior in terms of their support for Australian costumers, not to mention I can buy heaps of third party products here in my local area.
What do you say about this Creative?
Message Edited by MuhMuh on 06-9-2006 09:07 PM

I know exactly what you mean. Whist I really enjoy the Zen M vision player the accessories, lack of local retailers and tech/customer service are pretty absent in Australia. It took me 3 weeks to get assistance with my software since it did not seem to download using the instructions in my starter pack. Finally after contacting the australian tech support who incidentally were rude, offhand and mostly misinformati've. They gave me the wrong sites to sort out the software for downloading podcasts. It is zencast.com by way. I also want to obtain a proper set of speakers with a charger like you can for iPods. No such luck. Retail assistants look at me I am from outer space when I ask for creative accessories even when they sell them!! The online store in Australia should at least allow us to buy online.
Alternati'vely after much looking discovered the sole repairer and I think shop for Creative.
It is located at 254 Parramatta Rd, Petersham, shop 3-5, Again Creative make no effort to satisfy their aussie post -sales expectations. The shop is only open 8.30am - 5.30am so too bad if you work all week.
Maybe if you go there you can ask when is Creative opening shops and what an earth are there marketing and product team thinking.
If this goes on much longer (lack of support, lack of accessories) I know which brand I will buy next time round and whilst I think the player is great it won't be Creative unless all the above plus the awful playlist and file management system is fixed and that ominous playback error that I get even with audio files. I mean come on guys you have a potentially superior product. Your lack of addressing these issues is just sabotaging your own efforts to take market share from Apple. Or do you want to always be the alternati've Creative product instead of the preferred MP3>>
As muh-muh says hello, there are Australians buying Creative products and quite a few from looking around and from friends of mine.
