Iplanet connect exception when usig non acc client

I am trying to connect a non acc client to my appserver. I have everything set up according to the sample program provided by sun. When i execute the client it "hangs" at the contect initialization line (Context initial = new InitialContext(env).
when I check the log for the appserver it has the following error:

    hi All,
    I run a web logic RMI server on my machine and bind an object. When i try
    to run about 40 multiple clients (each client is a java process) i am refused
    connection. Why???

    wrong url, apparently.
    open the admin console and see that the url from your deployment is. try entering that into the browser instead of what you used to get the 404.
    also, check the logs.

  • Non-ACC client for WSIT enabled services

    Hallo All,
    Can anyone tell me how I could develop a non-ACC java client for SSL enabled web service/Reliable Messaging enabled web services.
    As of now, I am able to access these services with clients deployed in ACC containers of Glassfish V2UR1.
    I read some thing about glassfish connectors, but did not get a clear picture. I don't believe that Glassfish doesn't have support for non-ACC clients.
    Thanks a lot in advance.

    I don't think tomcat supports the ejb-ref portion of web.xml. If you're using ejbs your best bet is to use a web container within a J2EE implementation.

    Most of these are, of course, anti-Spam measures implemented by the various SMTP hosts, to prevent spammers from using their servers to spread the stuff (what you're doing is exactly what Spammers do as well).
    In general, most properly configured SMTP servers will only accept messages if:
    (a) Your IP address (as seen by that SMTP server) maps back to a proper host name, AND
    (b) The recipient of the message is "local" as determined by that SMTP server, AND
    (c) In many cases, the SMTP server will also cross-check your HELO/EHLO address and the MAIL FROM: value.
    It may take a few attempts to get all this right.

    You can specify a policy file and grant the following pemission in it:
    grant {
    permission java.net.SocketPermission "*:1024-65535","accept, connect, listen, resolve";
    Specify this policy file using "-Djava.security.policy=your policy file".
    BTW, don't forget to run rmiregistry before you launch your own RMI application.
    Good luck!

    Subject: RE: [iPlanet-JATO] Exception when trying to post to a page
    Hi Mark
    You are trying to submit to a view bean using java script right ?
    Notice we're not submitting to a handler, but just to the page itself.You are actually submitting the request to your JATO selvlet base, is that
    you intention ?
    The exception is being thrown because there is no request handler found.
    If you are trying invoke a handleBtnXXXmethod then your form action would
    look something like,
    <form method="post" action="../myServlet/pgMyPage?pgMypage.btnMyButton=">
    This adds to the request an appropriate handler as a parameter. Another
    option could be to add a hidden field
    with the same name as your button.
    Attempting to post the form without specifying a request handler will not
    work eg:
    <form method="post" action="../myServlet/pgMyPage">
    This throws a ServletException("The request was not be handled by the
    specified handler")
    because you are doing a post to ViewBean from a form which implies youwant
    to handle some kind web action.
    The way JATO enforces this is to check for the prescence of pageAttributes
    in the request (implemented using hidden fields)
    which you have in your form.

  • Jdbc connection blocks when run from jar

    The following code establishes a connection EXCEPT when run from within a jar file:
    String jdbcDriverName = "oracle.jdbc.driver.OracleDriver";
    String dbConnectionURL = "jdbc:oracle:thin:@192.168.2.7:1521:PRISM";
    String userName = "mdo";
    String password = "mdpass";
    // Load the JDBC driver and create a connection to the database
    Class.forName( jdbcDriverName );
    OracleDataSource dataSource = new OracleDataSource();
    dataSource.setURL( dbConnectionURL );
    dataSource.setUser( userName );
    dataSource.setPassword( password );
    connection = dataSource.getConnection();
    When run from a jar file, the application does not execute beyond the line:
    connection = dataSource.getConnection();
    No exceptions are thrown, it just appears that getConnection never returns.
    Do I need to do anything different to execute this code from within a jar file?
    Thanks in advance,
    Phil
    <><

    When building the JAR file, I inadvertently included files from two Oracle JDBC driver versions (1.2 and 1.4). I was building a single jar file with all files in it.
    I am guessing same named files existed in both driver JARs and caused "confussion" when combined into the single JAR.
    Still, I would have expected an exception to be thrown or a null connection to be returned instead if the thread just blocking.
    Thanks for all replies,
    Phil

  • Jax-ws 2.2.8 and ws-addressing: Client throwing java.lang.NullPointerException on receipt of HTTP 202 when using non-anonymous ReplyTo address

    In summary:
    Server is listening on port 8080
    Client will listen in port 8082 for the callback from the server for the SOAP response
    Now when I run the client, I see that the proper behaviour as far as ws-addressing is concerned. That is:
    client  -- SOAP request ( on port 8080 ) --> server
    client <-- HTTP 202 ( empty HTTP body )  --- server
    client <-- SOAP response ( on port 8082 )  --- server
    All well and good, except that I am getting a NullPointerException on the client side when I call the operation.
    With debugging of the SOAP request and responses, I get the following output:

    Any ideas ?

    I think I have found when I get this error and probably I have found a bug. I will appreciate if someone can confirm this.
    In my BPEL project setup, my BPEL process's wsdl file imports another wsdl from different namespace. Here is sample snippet -
    <wsdl:definitions targetNamespace="http://namespace/1">
    <wsdl:import namespace="http://namespace/2" location="resources/another.wsdl"/>
    <plnk:partnerLinkType....../>
    </wsdl:definitions>
    Please let me know. I checked the bundled samples with Oracle BPEL PM and did not find any similar case where process wsdl imports another wsdl.
    Thank you.

  • ACC Client not connecting

    Hello,
    We installed ATG on the server and the Server ACC is working fine, but when we try to connect the Client ACC, we get the following error:
    Could not connect to URL rmi://<server-ip>:8861/atg/devtools/UpdateAgent
    Either the Dynamo server is not running, or the hostname and/or port number are invalid.
    When trying to use the ACC Client on the server machine (using the same configurations), the client connect but throws the following error when updating:
    Server returned HTTP response code: 500 for URL: http://<server-internal-ip>:8180/dyn/admin/dynamoModuleResource/?moduleName=DAS&resourceURI=j2ee-lib/jboss-javaee.jar
    Thanks in advance.

    Thanks for the repply. The second error we were able to resolve, now we can connect to the ACC Cliente in the server machine.
    But we still can't access the ACC Client remotely. We know the port is opened (we tested via Telnet), dynamo server is running (we can access it via browser) and the port is the same as the one in the server's machine, but we/'re still getting the following error:
    Could not connect to URL rmi://<server-ip>:8861/atg/devtools/UpdateAgent
    Either the Dynamo server is not running, or the hostname and/or port number are invalid.
    And in the terminal we get the following errors:

  • Best practice: Extend client re-connect attempts when cluster down?

    Hi,
    We have a basic extend TCP client that uses a few continuous queries to display data updated in a cluster. Due to the nature of the system it is possible for a client to be started before the cluster (and extend proxies) are available. When this happens the client throws the usual connection error upon trying to establish the initial connection but then doesn't attempt to reconnect after that. Once the cluster is up a client has to be restarted. Is there any way to configure the client to re-attempt connections at specified intervals?
    Regards.

    Hi,
    Maybe you can catch the exception, do a programmatical pause and then restart in a way like below:
    public class ShutdownInvocable extends AbstractInvocable
    public static class ShutdownTask implements Runnable
    public void run()
    CacheFactory.shutdown();
    public void run()
    (new Thread(new ShutdownTask())).start();
    Hope it helps.
    Regards,
    Cris

  • How to catch exception when have max connection pool

    hi,
    i have define in oracle user that i could have max 10 sessions at the same time.

    now, if in application is too many queries to the database then i have error: nullpointer exception - becouse when i try to do:

    i try to catch exception like this:

    Hi,
    I will appriciate your help with the following problem.
    We have the follwoing errors in the weblogic.log (We are using weblogic 8.1.0.2 and Oracle 9.2.0.3)
    ####<Dec 20, 2006 10:47:49 AM EET> <Info> <JDBC> <ep> <mfserver> <Thread-14> <<WLS Kernel>> <> <BEA-001128> <Connection for pool "oraclePool" closed.>

    These exception occures every hour after the connection pool is being closed and refreshed.
    Also there are a lot of the follwoing warnning in the log :
    <BEA-001074><A JDBC pool connection leak was detected.
    Does these two problems connected? What can we do in order to solve it?
    Thanks

    Does these two problems connected? What can we do in order to solve it?Hi. The problems are not directly related, but may have the same cause.
    Something is killing your DBMS connections out from under the driver.
    Do you have a firewall between WLS and the DBMS, or a flakey network?
    Contact BEA support to get the 8.1sp2 patch for getting meaningful
    connection leak traces (CR209251_81sp2.jar). When that patch is installed
    the leak messages should show a full stack trace of the application code
    where the connection was obtained. It is that application code that
    somehow failed to close the pool connection, causing a pool leak. I
    suspect that the application code got an unexpected exception, such as
    when/if the DBMS/network/firewall killed a connection. In this case I
    believe the application went through an exception-handling path that
    forgot to close the connection.
