IPM 5.0 CRMXIF_PRODUCT_IP_SAVE Interface to create product
Hello,
I try to execute the function module CRMXIF_PRODUCT_IP_SAVE.
I believe that I fill the IMPORT structure with good values because there is no error message but the product is not created.
When I display the Bdoc's message, the message "No entry found in table SMOFQFIND for BDoc type PRODUCT_IP - Queue name used: CRM_PRODUCT_IP (see note 677800 for further inform)" is displayed .
I have the same message when I create the product via the transaction COMMPR01.
When I try to reprocess the Bdoc's message generated by the function module, the process fail. When I try to do it with the Bdoc generated by the transaction the process succed. The two message's bodys are similar.
Can you give me documentaion (how to fill the import structure) or advices to find a solution.
Hi Kishore,
Am calling the FM twice. First time for delete and second time for create.
if create fails, i want the work done by delete (step 1) to rollback.
Will the solution given by you work in this scenario also?

How to package XI/PI Interfaces in a product ?
Hi experts !
I´m working at a company that have a project to integrate SAP ECC with a software that they sold, and they want to turn the interfaces developed in a product to be sold to their customers(that use SAP and the software that they sold), and I´m seeking for the way to achieve this, package interfaces in a product.
I´m reading a lot about export XI interfaces in .tpz files and I think that this may be the way but I have some doubts like:
- The XI/PI version installed on customer may be a problem ?(here I´m working on PI 7.0) - About this question, reading several questions in SDN, I understood that exports from PI 7.0 are accepted from XI 3.0, so, I think that the minimum configuration at the customer to support the product will be XI 3.0. Is this correct ?
- The SAP ECC version installed on customer may be a problem ?(here we have ECC 6.0) - I think that the RFC functions(or proxy) can be imported inside the software component of the software sold by the company where I work, so in design(Integration Repository), I think that the version of ECC will not be a problem but, what about the configuration(Integration Directory) ? If I export the configuration of the interfaces, the tpz file(s) will be have data about Business System created on my working environment, that have a specific version. If I import this in a customer with another version of SAP ECC, this will work ? If not, there is a way to change the .tpz file to the ECC data inside it to be compliant to the ECC used in the customer ? Or the only way is to do the configuration of these interfaces by hand in each customer ?
- If the question above solved without to make the configurations at customers by hand, there is a way to make the Business System in the configuration to be the same already used in a customer ? - I supposed to be installing this product in a customer that already have XI/PI installed and already have interfaces between ECC and another systems, in this case, ECC will be in configuration(ID) as a business system(for example, in customer, ECC is a business system named ECC_DEV, and here in my company, the business system name is MED, that is the system id of ECC). There is a way to make my export files(tpz), from my scenario, to use the same business system name already in use in the customer when I import the tpz ? About this, I´m thinking if there is some way to solve this using transport targets, what do you think ?
At this moment these are my doubts, as you can see, major doubts are about the configuration(ID) exports and how to adhere them to the customer scenarios.
Thank you in advance, and best regards,
WilsonHi,
Some points to be noted are
1. Check for service pack than version. check the pi7.0 and xi3.0 SP . There are some measurements which will tell u that this service pack is equivalent for this versio serice pack.
2. The SLD must be configured again in the new system, once the business service can be exported as my my knowledge
3. All the RFC's and IDOCs can be imported, but make sure to reflect the same in ECC system also. Eg., Custom Idocs
4.Also check the version compatiablity
5.I would suggest you to check on interface to interface rather than dump everthing in single go.
6. Export in different files and configure all the missing things accordingly. That will shorten ur problem solving time -

PRA interfacing with legacy production accounting applications
Can you share your experiences in interfacing PRA with production accounting systems like Tietonator's EC or P2ES tools?
What is the business case for doing it?
What are the gaps in PRA that are addressed in these tools?
Edited by: Ramakrishna Avasarala on Dec 8, 2008 6:18 AMThanks Larry, I just found some documentation on the connector and this does look
promising. Unfortunately, I'm going to be constrained by what the customer has in
place. I don't know yet if the customer is using WebLogic. They are in South Africa
and I'm here in the east coast and just got this request this morning. I need to
find out more information to make a better decision.
Thanks again for the response.

Our network management system is accessible via a XML over HTTP interface. From
what I gather, the customer wants to interact with our NMS via their clientapplications
which use Tuxedo as their messaging architecture.
From what I've read (only a little today), I will need to create a Tuxedocomponent
that advertises services, accepts service requests, interacts with ourNMS via XML/HTTP,
and packages up the response which is sent back to the client.
Does this sound like the correct path to take?

Not able to Create Product Group.
Hi All,
Not able to Create Product Group. I has to be solved urgently. The below message form SAP.
The field is defined as a required field; it does not contain an entry
Message no. MG144
Procedure
Transfer a suitable value.
If the field is the material group or unit of weight, and the field is not ready for input, check whether the material is locked. If it is locked, you cannot extend the Purchasing view or the Sales view. If either of these views needs to be extended, the material must first be unlocked. This can be done only by a user with special authorization. Contact your system administrator.
Note
For information on locking and unlocking material master records, see the SAP library documentation Material Master (LO-MD-MM) -> Locking Material Master Records.
Thanks in Advance,

Error while creating Product Cost Collector
Hi SAP Gurus,
While creating Product Cost Collector I am getting the following Error:
Enter a distribution rule for Order without a validity limit
Message no. KD059
Diagnosis
The settlement profile used requires you to define a distribution rule for Order. For period 009 2008, however, you have not created a distribution rule for Order.
Procedure
Create a distribution rule for Order without a validity limit, because, if the distribution rule does have a validity limit, the system always issues this message in the period following the last valid period.
You can also use a different settlement profile that does not require such a distribution rule, or change the settlement rule used.
Can any one help where exactly i need to maintain this.
The settlement profile settings are fine.
I am getting this error only after i have changed the scenario to Reproting point back flushingDear Suryanarayana
Please check the corresponding settlement profile for product orders.
In most of the cases message KD059 means that no distribution rule is assigned to your production order.
This is not an error, but the system design. In order to avoid message KD059 you will either have to enter settlements parameters and a distribution, or change settlement profile for valid receivers in transaction OKO7 from 'settlement required' to 'Can be settled'.
I hope this helps resolve the issue for you. I wish you the best in your endeavours.
Kind Regards,

Error when creating Production Order
Dear All,
When i was trying to create Production Order using CO01, there was an error message that says "error when calculating cost, see log, log is deleted when saving"
what is the problem from that error message? how can i solve this problem?
best regard,
MARUFATCost consist of material cost which are the direct cost, it is calculated from the component and the material itself for which the order is created. If the material is semifinished or finished check whether the accounting view for these material contains value. These material could be costed as per the method mentioned by our friend or you may enter value through MR21 (if the material is not costed atall since it is created). It is recommended to update cost through costing run and by CO member. Now if the material is Raw material you need to maintain PIR.
The second part could be the activity cost. These follows from the routing/receipe. Mostly the costing error is due to the inappropriate defination of either cost center or activity types. You need to confirm whether activity price are define for the period.
Appriciating you for taking a concern on the costing error and not overriding. -
Error in creating Production order
When I create production order thorugh planned order Iam getting error message "No objects selected inside production order."
Hello,
The planned order that you may have use has been deleted already. It is most probably deleted during an MPS/MRP run. The planned order number is deleted and recreated with a different number. Please try to check in MD04 and check the planned orders there and you can convert it from there.
Thanks,

Can i create production order using process material ?
Dear All.
Please help me.
I want to create production order using process material (material type is PROC).
For may knowledge, process order is standard for the process material, but my customer want to use the PP module for the process material.
But I cant convert the planned order of precess material to production order in MD05.
The system message is "System does not support planned orders for process materials."
The followings are my test steps.
1. Master Creation
- Material Master, BOM, ROUTING
In standard, process material (Material Type : PROC) need creation of master recipe. But due to my clients need (Using production order
for the process material), I create the work center and ROUTING
2. DM Creation
- In MD61, I create the planned independent requirement (Type : LSF)
3. Planned order creation for the process material using MRP
- In MD01, I run the total MRP, the the planned order is created.
It's order type is "LA"
4. Converting the planned order to Production Order
- In this step, the system give the error "System does not support planned orders for process materials."
and can not do anything.
I want to know that the above case is possible, and how.
Please Help meu2026..Hi
First of if yur want to create production order or process order why do you go for material type :PROC.
you can create the same material as FERT & go ahead.
I do not understand the logic to select the material type as PROC.
Pl. go through SAP library where PROC is used.

Usage of rounding profile in manual created production order
Hi,
We are making usage of various static rounding profiles.
For each of the materials produced, the rounding qty can be different, depending on the workcenters used to produce the materials (but for one material, there is only 1 rounding profile possible)
This works fine as long as we create planned orders via MRP runs (rounds up according the values set)
However, this rounding value is not taken into account (proposal, warning, error,..) when a user creates a planned order manually via MD11 or a production order via CO01.
Furthermore there is no warning message or whatever at the moment a user is converting a planned order (with a correct calculated rounded value) into a production order and manuaaly adapts the order qty.
As were are talking about a few 1000 different materials, the production planner cannot know all by heart and the rounding proposal would be excellent.
Anybody an idea how to implement this ?
Thanks and regards?Hello again,
thanks for you prompt answer.
This would certainly solve our problem in case we would have always one and the same quantity to produce for a given material; but this is not always te case.
Perhaps it was not clearly explained in my first mail, but we would like to work with one (1) ROUNDING PROFILE per material.
Example, material A can be produced in multiples of 14; as such it should be possible for the production planner to create production orders for 14, 28, 42 , 56,..... pieces. When entering a order for eg. 25 pieces (= example the qty needed for a certain sales order), the system shpuld round to 28.
Other materials (having another rounding profile) are produced in multiples 3, im mulitples of 5,...
For this particular plant we have about 50 different rounding profiles in place.
So it somewhat logic that a production planner does not know all these by heart.
If you have a solution for this as well, please let me know.
Anyway already my thanks for feedback.
Regards.
Danny
