IPod came with no case

Hello, I purchased 80Gb iPod about 3 months ago and until today didnt realize that the iPod comes with a case. my last iPod didn't so I didnt think anything of it. That was until I saw my friends new ipod video with a case. Anyway would apple send me a case or have I left it to long?

You aren't missing much with that case. Fairly useless protecting the iPod and hard to get to the iPod controls. The only thing I use my case for is to store my earbuds in so they don't gt tangled and knotted in my backpack.

ok, I may sound ******** but I'll just go ahead. My nano came with this tray looking plastic thing that I do not understand the purpose of. I don't think it's a stand for nano because when I put my iPod on it, iPod falls down. There a horizontal slot-like thing at the bottom that look like a cable might fit in but not all the way in. That's the adapter for the Universal Dock. There's a different sized one for each type of iPod, you place it in the well of a Universal Dock and then your iPod fits in. If you have different models of iPod you can use the same dock with either one by fitting the appropriate adapter: Apple Universal Dock

Why does the usb cord my ipod came with say not supported with this accesorie

i plugged my ipod into my computer and a yellow triangle popped up with a exclaimation mark in it and said below it charging is not supported with this accesorie.

Could be that your USB cable is damaged somehow. Try using a different cable if at all possible.
Otherwise, check your iPod's connector port on the bottom and make sure it is clear of debris such as lent, etc. Use a can of compressed air to help blow it out. Also, look for any broken or bent pints that could cause this error message to appear.

My ipod came with a scratch that we thought was a hair when i first took it out but then we took it out of the case and it was such a deep scratch when you run the backside of your fingernail over it you can feel a bump, but after about a day of having it caseless because all the stores are sold out, it has even more scratches, none this deep but still.. does my warranty still cover this? also my click wheel is off center

My black 60G iPod came with a black microfiber case, and I'm not especially attached to it. I generally knit my own iPod sleeves, so I wasn't planning to keep the black microfiber thingy forever anyway.

Charging iPod Touch with old adaptar

I received a USB cable along with the iPod Touch that I purchased about a week ago. I am supposed to charge my ipod while it's plugged into my computer. Here's the issue: I do not use my Pc very often, so I don't really spend enough time behind my computer for my iPod to charge every once in a while.
Before my new Touch I had an old version of the iPod Mini, this iPod came with an adapter which had an USB portal so I charge it without the computer.
My question to you guys is: Can I still use this old adapter to charge my iPod Touch? Im not sure about this, and I'm not intending to overcharge ''my newly beloved toy''

Internet problems on my macbook pro and ipod touch with camera.

For the last week or so I have been experiencing internet problems with my macbook and iPod touch with camera. I'll be online and clicking different news articles and suddenly the address bar will start to open a link but will not complete it. So what I do is go up to the signal bar and click turn off airport then turn it back on and that will temporarily solve the problem. Same solution on my iPod, I turn off the wifi and turn it back on. It is very frustrating for both devices. I will include as much info as possible. I have a NetGear RangeMax wireless router model WPN824v3. I was wondering if changing the wireless settings on that would solve my problem. I have the channel on 9. Mode on b and g. Security option on WPA-PSK [TKIP] with password. I would be happy for any help with this issue. Also I hope I'm following correct posting protocol. I haven't been on this forum in a while.

Thanks for the advice. I finally tried a solution after doing nothing. LoL. What I did do was change the channel the router was on from 9 to 7. I think I've done something like this in the past when I had slow internet and that worked out well too. I thought that would help and so far so good. Not an interruption so far but we shall see. To the guy or girl who expressed that they had the same problem as me I would try changing the channel of your router like I did. I will monitor the situation and see if it totally solved my problem or not and keep this thread updated. Thanks people

CHeck out iTunes Match which has an annual fee of £21 or thereabouts. You can store a maximum of 25,000 songs there and they all become available on your other kit, iPhone, iPad and iPod. I know it works as I have over 23000 songs uploaded of which only a few we're bought through iTunes.
it works by comparing your music to the whole iTunes music dadata base so you access the same tunes that you could get from iTunes. If you have obscure stuff, it uploads your own music to the cloud as a copy.
I Find it incredible that on my iPhone with its 16gb memory I can view almost 200 gb of music (ie my 23000 songs) and play any of them. Anything I add to iTunes becomes available via the cloud fairly quickly from a few minutes or a little longer if adding a lot.
The first time you use it it will take quite a while to match your music if you have a lot, but after that it is all automatic. Read the stuff on the apple site. Your PC needs to be at least running Vista. I recommend it and at less than 50p a week it's good value.

My earphone that came with the ipod touch is not working

the earphone that came with the ipod is not workin, the microfone doesnt work, and the volume control doesnt too, but, the stop/play button works, and the overall sound from the phone, wat is happening? can smeone help me?

This maybe because there is a piece of tissue, crumbs... ect in the earphone hole.
Try getting stuff out, if there is nothing there... I got nothing.

When I look at my Ipod on Itunes on my laptop it is showing that I have a large amount of storage space taken up with Apps. (more than my music). In fact I only have the Apps which came with the ipod touch! How do I get my storage back?

I have an ipod touch 64GB. I have 3,146 songs, 3 videos, 106 photos and 1 app. The capacity of my ipod is 58 GB (I guess the remainder is the OS), It says I have 7.6GB remaining. When I look at my ipod on Itunes on my laptop the bar at the bottom shows a huge amount of storage space is taken up by Apps. I don't have any apps apart from the ones which came with the ipod touch which I cannot erase and wouldnt really want to. I am baffled why it says so much storage has been taken up by Apps! Please help me!!!

Connect the iPod to your computer and look at the storage used by the various categories as shown in the colored bargarph in iTunes.
Come back with the results.
An "other" larger than about 1 1/2 GB usually indicates that the "other" includes corrupted files. Usually restoring from backup eliminated the corrupted files. However, sometimes restoring to factory settings/new iPod is required.

Can I use the camera on my iPod Touch with FaceTime?

I have been trying to use the camera on my iPod Touch with FaceTime. Will it work? How do I sign in? When I click on Preferences the preferences window does not appear, and preferences in the drop down menu becomes greyed out. I am using an older Apple Cinema Display. Also Apple doesn't show the iSight camera for sale on the website.

Pairing an iPod touch to the computer to use the camera is not supported, but you can use any webcam that can be plugged into the computer.
