Ipod classic 30 freezes after playing approximately 35-40 songs. ipod will not function again until you reset it. does not happen on any one particular song. also happens on my wife's classic. we do not use the same computer to sync either. any ideas

I finally resolved my problem after spending way too much time on it. I simply handed my 160GB iPod to my husband to put his fav Stones & Beatles songs on and I went back to my 80GB Microsoft Zune which has never disappointed me.
After spending so much time trying to figure this out I did finally take it back to Apple Store who performed a diagnostic and found there was a problem with the device. They replaced it with a refurbished one which has similar issues. All I wanted to do was listen to my music. Was that too much to ask? So I am happy to be free of this problematic device. No more Apple for me!!

That is the way it works. It designed to do that.
In addition to everything else you have to this other person's computer you would have to move your complete iTunes library over also. Only then will it recognize youriTouch.

Sounds like you synced your new phone to his backup, not yours. Reset the phone and try again. Or maybe Restore will let you resync it, I'm not going to try it on my phone to find out.

I have an iphone 4 and my dad has a iphone 5s, we both use the same computer to sync to itunes and add music etc and therefore share a itunes library and just add our own music to our phones, but recently i havent been able to add music that is already in the itunes library for example from a cd, onto my iphone 4, i used to be able to use the typical 'drag and drop' method but now it jut doesnt work? it still works fine for my dad oh his iphone 5s but not for me? Any ideas on how i can transfer music?

Yes. My wife and I each have our own Apple ID and used the same computer to sync our phones with iTunes. The best way to do this is set up separate user accounts on the computer. If you are logged in to your account on the computer and your wife wants to sync here phone, you would log out and she would log in. These keeps all your stuff separate and avoids a ton of confusion.

I have bought itunes songs on an ipad with my daughter apple id. i would like to back them up on the same computer I sync my iphone with using my apple id but they will not transfer. Both iphone and ipad have only been synced on the computer mentioned since they were purchased. Is there any way to get the ipad music transferred to the computer?
And they were definitely purchased from the iTunes store, they show on the account's purchase history (Store > View Account on a computer's iTunes, or you can view the last 90 days purchases via http://reportaproblem.apple.com) ?
You could potentially log into the account on that computer's iTunes (Store > Sign Out to log out of your account, that will then change to a Store > Sign In option) and redownload them by clicking on the id towards the top right of the iTunes screen and Purchased on the popup :

Or do you have a different computer that you could redownload them on and then copy them over to that computer via a flash drive or memory card, and then add them to its iTunes via File > Add To Library ? -

"Deauthorize" the old computer too. Go to the iTunes Store menu and select "Deauthorize This Computer..."

When it asks for another ID on an App Update, it means that the application was purchased under your sister's ID but downloaded to your device from the iTunes library that you share. Even though you both have your own Apple IDs, since you are syncing on the same computer, you are using the same iTunes library.
Whoever purchased the app is forever tied to it, and you can only have one version of a particular app in a single library....
Does that make sense?

If you create an Apple ID for your daughter, signing out of the existing Apple ID with the iTunes & App Store on her iPhone will not change anything on your iPhone.
All apps include DRM protection which is tied to the Apple ID that was used to download the apps.
If she starts using her Apple ID to download apps, when there is an app update for an app on her iPhone that was downloaded with the current shared Apple ID, she will need to use that Apple ID and password to download the app updates. -
I had to take my hp back to factory setting and reinstall itunes, when I tried to use Itunes match it said i had to Deauthorize all my computers. I am using the same computer and desperately need access to my music.
When you reset to factory settings, the computer is de-authorised.
In iTunes menu Store > View Account > sign in > App Store > Deauthorise All.
Once done, authorise this computer iTunes.
Note: you can only do that once a year. -
I am trying to retrieve music that I had from an iPad to my iTunes account. I'm using the same computer for synching my iPhone. I'm logged into my iPad account, but can't retrieve music. So you had music on the iPad that is not in iTunes and you no longer have the iPad. Is that what you are saying? If that is what you are saying, iTunes won't "recognize" anything that was on the iPad, that was not purchased from iTunes. If the music was purchased from iTunes, you should probably be able to download it again for free as long as you are using the same Apple ID that you bought it with. Did you try downloading the music again?
Am I understanding what it is that you want to do? If I am understanding you correctly, you will find this to be useful.

No. You need to buy it for your Apple ID and for the other. You will have problems with updates
