  • Password lock when turned on?

Recently went on a trip and found that my Zire 21 battery was completely dead.  I charged it up for 3 hours and now find that it is not locked when turned on.  I have tried dard reset and a soft reset.  I can get it to lock on shutdown, however, when I turn it back on it goes to the icon page.  I should have to enter a password to unlockbut it doesn't.  Any thoughts?

When you tap on the word "never" it will then ask you to enter your password. you must enter the same password you have.
if you have trouble pulling up your keyboard...
Make sure that there is a cursor blinking on the line then Tap ABC on your graffiti area, if still you have trouble pulling up the keyboard, you dont have a choice but to use your grafitti on entering your password.

  • IPod (3G) reboots when turned on (often)

wondering if anyone has had a similiar issue and if they have any advice (either to fix or to send back to Apple to be fixed):
if i let the iPod sit for a day or so without being used or charged, when i turn it on it will reboot. the iPod still works perfectly, but it will always reboot itself when turned on.
this usually does not happen (or happens less) if i use it more frequently (less time sitting unused) or multiple times in one day.

    I see, "deep sleep mode"...
    makes sense.
looks like this has been addressed previously in the boards, but i didn't know to search for "deep sleep mode". tried a bunch of other search combo's, but none worked...
    thanks.

  • When turning on bluetooth why even if the other device is found and paired on the ipad says not connected. The other device must be only apple product?

bluetooth. When turned on on ipad canot found other device. Nevertheless the ipad can be found by other devices and paired, transfer of data cannot be done since on ipad the paired device is shown as not connected. Is it that the other device is not an apple product?

The transfer of data by Bluetooth is not supported on the iPad. Here are the supported Bluetooth profiles.

  • Ipod Occasionally Freezes When Turned On

I'm wondering if problems I am having are being caused by the "1.2 firmware freezing problem." I got my 5th gen video Ipod after Itunes 7 was released, so I never had an earlier firmware on my ipod. My ipod does not freeze while playing music, but it occasionally freezes when I first turn it on. When this happens, I will be able to move through the menus (sometimes slowly), but when I try to play anything I hear silence. After I turn the ipod off (which sometimes doesn't work right away) and then back on I can then play audio.
Has anyone else experienced this type of freezing? I'm wondering if I should try downgrading the firmware, which has been suggested in this forum. I've already went through the factory restoration and it did not resolve the issue. Thanks a lot for the help.

    Nothin'?

  • IPod screen blank when turned on

When I turn on my iPod classic all I get is white when I should get the menu or the now playing screen. I've tried hooking it up to iTunes, resetting it, and restoring it. When I reset it, it's the same but it shows up grey. The blacklight still goes off after 5 seconds because that's how I have it set, but there's nothing on the screen, it's all just white or grey.
    Any help here?

  • TS3274 My ipad display will not function, the screen will not display anything when turned on, you can see that the screen lights up but it is completely black

The screen on my iPad will not display, the screen lightens up when powered on but the screen stays black, any fix for this that I can do at home?

Try this  - Reset the iPad by holding down on the Sleep and Home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider - let go of the buttons. (This is equivalent to rebooting your computer.) No data/files will be erased. http://support.apple.com/kb/ht1430

  • Macbook pro will not display screen when turned on

Can someone please help me figure out the issue I am having with my Macbook Pro I got it late 2008  or early 2009. Never had an issue with it till about 6 months ago. When I turned it off and then turned it back on again later it would always display a black screen even though i could hear it running. I did everything I could think of to make it turn on completely. I would completely charge the laptop, I would repeativly take the battery out and put t back in ect. Most the time it would turn on after a few times of doing something like that. But ever since it started happening it has taken longer and longer for it to decide to turn on completely. So usally never turn it off, but sometimes i drain the battery and donj't have a chance to  plug it before it turns itself off.
I use it for work as a graphic designer and the tec company that the company uses offered to take a look at it. ( They are a PC company) . It so happened that one of the guys that works there has a macbook pro around the same age ect. He suggested that i replace my battery so we did. He said that his macbook started to do the same thing and that he had no other choice but to get the motherboard replaced. Is that what I have to do too? I use this coputer for all of my work so I need to have it back in a reasonable amount of time. What should I do to get the problem fixed? What are the steps I should take to ensure that the problem is takem care of?
    Thank you for any help!!!!

  • Does my ipod touch charge when turned off!

Hi guys i got my 16g ipod touch in the uk after work tonight. A quick question, when connected to the computer does it continue to charge when i turn the power off on the touch? As nothing indicates on the screen that it is charging and it also disappears from itunes. cheers

Yeah I was wondering the same thing since my ipod for some reasons seems to charge really slowly. I'm about to burn my one support call and might end up sending it back as a defect. I've charged it while using my computer (so obviously it wasn't asleep), and it would creep up very slowly. Then I let it charge overnight on my laptop (8 hours) and it would go like 25% from about 25% battery. I tried recharging it from my iHome ipod dock and it would charge a bit faster, then sort of cap off at about 66-75% battery. I've tried turning sticking it i the iHome and turning it off and seemed to have no effect on the battery. I'm going to try it again tonight having it turned off while attached to my laptop. It will be my last attempt before calling Apple. I am really frustrated.

  • Ipod nano error when turned on

I wish I could help you too. I've run into the exact same problem and nothing that I'm following in the manual is helping. My screen actually says "Do not disconnect." If I toggle with it and try to reset it, then the same screen as you described comes on.
I'm waiting for someone that can help me too.
